Lead WWII Named 508th PIR 82nd AIB Uniform Grouping
Description
WWII named uniform grouping to David D. Kelly who served with HQ, 1st BN, 508th PIR, 82nd Airborne. He served as a Lineman Telephone and Telegraph tech. He is credited with the Ardennes, Central Europe, and Rhineland. His awards represented by British made bar are the Good Conduct Medal, and the ETO Ribbon with three campaign stars, the WWII Victory medal and the Belgium Fourragere. In 1982 he was awarded the Bronze Star medal based upon his award of the Combat Infantry Mans Badge. The Bronze star is included and is not engraved. He went to a two week Parachutist school in 1944 as annotated on his discharge document. He arrived overseas on September 25, 1944 and came home on January 3, 1946. He was inducted into service on March 31, 1944 at Fort Dix, NJ. He was discharged in 1946. Approximate Measurements Shoulder to Shoulder: 17 Shoulder to Cuff: 23 Pit to Pit: 17 1176

This auction features over 300 lots of fine militaria artifacts. Civil War, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam. Items such as bayonets, canteens and covers, uniforms, insignia, sweetheart jewelry, groupings, headgear, flags, posters, field gear, swords, flight jackets, helmets, and much more. We are 10-15 minutes away from the Max Show (Sept. 14-17) in York, PA. Items can be picked up that week at our auction house if you would like to save on shipping.
