Lead WWII Attributed 34th ID Medic Uniform
Description
Beautiful WWII attributed 34th ID Medic Uniform. The uniform is attributed via collector tag to S/Sgt. Michael P. Risk, a Combat Medic with the 34th Infantry Division. The attached newspaper articles, included digitally confirm is involvement in the medical services. A group photo featured in a 1944 newspaper shows him and a group of men on the Italian front. His Iowa Bonus Case file is available on Ancestry but not included digitally in the sale. According to his 1952 marriage newspaper article, he married Marjorie Jean Robbins, who at the time was employed by a television station. Mr. Risk was Assistant to the Supervisor of Operations for NBC. They lived in Hollywood. His awards include the combat medical badge, Bronze star and ETO ribbon with arrowhead and 3 stars. All of which appear to be Wolf Brown Ribbons. The Ike Jacket is not named anywhere that we can find. This is clean, original to the tag and a fantastic piece! Items such as bayonets, canteens and covers, uniforms, insignia, sweetheart jewelry, groupings, headgear, flags, posters, field gear, swords, flight jackets, helmets, and much more. We are 10-15 minutes away from the Max Show (Sept. 14-17) in York, PA. Items can be picked up that week at our auction house if you would like to save on shipping.
