They check for total hardness total chlorine free chlorine pH and total alkalinity to help you know if the water is balanced. The package includes 25 six-way strips and 10 salt level strips. Test strips for salt pools measure the same things as traditional chlorine pools because you balance them the same way. Even though you use salt as your sanitizer you still need to shock salt pools and apply balancer products as necessary.
