Auction Terms & Conditions This is an online-only auction. Lots will begin closing at 1:00 PM CST on Wednesday August 9, 2023. It is a staggered closing meaning not all lots close at once. There is also a soft close, so if someone bids in the last 2 minutes of an item closing, it will extend out another 2 minutes.
You will need to sign up with a HiBid account and have a valid credit card required for bidding approval, but will have the option to pay with cash, good check, or wire transfer. No credit card payments for purchases over $200. Please note this auction is for pick-up only, no shipping is offered.
There is 10% Buyers Premium, with a cap of $1,000 per item, that will be added to the final purchase price for payment by cash, check or wire transfer. If paying with credit card for invoices under $200, there will be an additional 5% fee for use of card, so 15% buyers premium for payment by credit card. Sales Tax Charged if Applicable, Iowa Sales Tax Exemption forms will be available for those purchases qualitfying for that.
Acceptable payment methods are cash, good check (Letter of credit may be required if buyer is unknown to the auction company), wire transfer, or credit card with an additional 5% fee. Credit card payment not accepted for invoices over $200. Auction company reserves the right to request a wire transfer for any payment if necessary.
Items will need to be picked up from the location within by September 1, 2023. You will have to make arrangements with Bob or Ron to set up a mutually agreed upon time.
All items are sold AS IS and it is up to the buyers to examine to the best of their ability. The auction company has done our best to describe the item and flaws or defects, but there is no warranties or guarantees on the items, expressed or implied and will not be held responsible for errors or omissions in descriptions. No returns, all sales are final. Buyer will not initiate chargebacks for any reason.
Sweeney Auction Service reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in this auction if necessary. The auction company reserves the right to decline bidders if necessary. Online only bidding is a service that is provided and bidders acknowledge and understand that it may not function properly. The auction company reserves the right to cancel, postpone or pause the auction if complications or circumstances out of our control occur. We will not be held responsible for any missed bids from the system, please consider using the max bid feature which allows your bid to be treated as absentee bid.
Not responsible for theft, damage or loss of items. Not responsible in case of accidents on premises.
