Well, this is a tough one. I mean this is one of my favorite games of all time.....ALL POINTS BULLETIN or A.P.B. It is a mid-res, awesome "open world" game where you can drive all over looking for hidden stuff and chase down bad guys, find power ups for your car, etc. Just a GREAT game with TONs of depth and great feel.
But on the other hand, it is a MAJOR project. I mean first of all, it is missing the game boards. Normally I have 10 extra sets of boards for almost any game ever made. But I don't have a single extra set of boards for APB. In fact I will still be short a set after selling this cabinet!
On the bright side, I do have a memorized search on eBay and I can tell you that APB board pop up at least once a month on eBay, and they aren't that expensive. I just haven't bought them yet because it hasn't become a priority to me yet. So you will be able to find the boards. I believe it uses the same board system as Paperboy, Championship Sprint, 720, Super Sprint, and maybe a few other games. With different ROMs. But I could be wrong....I just think so.
Anyway, so it's missing the game boards. It is otherwise mostly complete, but is missing the monitor bezel. That SHOULD be available from some repro maker as it's just printing on paper. Also, for some reason it has the wrong artwork on the control panel - it has road blasters artwork, which is really odd. But the control panel fits right so I don't get it. This is just how I got the game. I intended to fully restore the game myself but (as you've heard me say dozens of times) I just have TOO MANY projects and not enough time left for them. I need to start thinning out the projects.
This game is also missing the back door. It does have a pretty nice coin door though. The marquee is still intact and really nice. Also, it has the monitor, which is a good thing - these medium res monitors don't grow on trees. They are a real asset. That's probably the main reason I bought this when I did.
