This is a 100% original 1981 Midway PAC MAN PLUS video arcade game. It is also 100% working. I rebuilt the monitor, and it has a perfect picture (on an Electrohome G-07 monitor). The controls work perfectly, and I replaced the marquee bulbs with new LED bulbs. It has a new lock on it, and two working quarter coin mechs and an original coin box.
I actually just picked this game up a couple days ago. A guy called me with a story those of us in the hobby love to hear: "My grandpa had an arcade in (this little town) back in the 80s, and we just found that he stashed a few of the games in storage, which we are cleaning out now. Would you like to buy them?" It wasn't all that exciting, and they wanted a lot of money for them, but it was still fun to find several nice old classics. I decided to just sell this Pac Man basically exactly as I found it (after repairing the monitor and game boards so it would be working). I haven't even cleaned it fully - just cleaned the front.
Another neat thing about this game is that the grandpa kept all of the original Pac Man parts when he upgraded it to Pac Man Plus, and he stashed them inside the cabinet. I am including all of these parts with this game also. You have everything you need to take this back to original Pac Man - the game ROMs, the Z-80 processor, the original Marquee, and even the manual for the game. I did not test the game ROMs to make sure they are still working, but even if not, those are not hard to come by.
The cabinet is nice and solid (but dirty) and does not appear to have any water damage or other serious flaws on the cabinet. It's actually a really nice original yellow-case Pac, as Jeff and I call them. In my opinion, this game is THE Wurlitzer "bubbler" of video games. That is, the most iconic, recognizable, and collectible video game of all time. My opinion, but I'll bet a lot of people would agree with me.
This is the perfect game to put in your rec room for decoration, or for street cred if you're collecting vintage arcade stuff.
