This is a really nice, almost like new ROWE BC-1200 coin changer. It is fully working and ready to go into your rec room, bar, or arcade. It does need updated in order to take the new 5s and 10s out there. But it works perfectly on all current $1 bills. It is not difficult or expensive to upgrade it to the new currency, you just need to send the little computer board off to one of a number of companies out there and they will update the software to take those bills.
Rowe has been the number 1 name in reliable, workhorse coin changers for decades, if not for ever. This is their latest and greatest model of skinny upright changer. Their two flagship models are the BC-3500, and the BC-1200. Before these were the BC-35 and the BC-12, which looked the same as the newer ones but had older electronics inside. This machine has the newest and greatest computer system.
I have used Rowe changers from this series in my arcade since opening and they are a delight to work with. They are super easy to program, they are super flexible (you can literally put ANY coin in them and they will work with it), and they are virtually maintenance free. You need to clean the coin path with a brush every once in a while to remove the grook from thousands of coins, but otherwise they just keep going and going.
Also, these are the funnest kind of changers to use - when you put in your bills, they dump the pre-counted amount of coins out in one big dump, then reload the bucket for the next guy. Rather than the other brand of changers that slowly count out the coins after you put in your bill. Those are cheap and cheesy in my opinion. I love the dump of tons of coins all at once. Like an old Mills slot machine.
Anyway, this changer is all ready to go, but will not include any quarters or bills - you need to load it with your own coins. Also, you will need to purchase an "inner cylinder" style lock to lock this up. They should be available at just about any locksmith, and maybe online at amazon or ebay too. They should cost under $10. For an extra $20, I'll include an inner cylinder lock for you. I just only have a couple extras and don't really want to get rid of them, hence the $20 price tag.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
