This is a very nice, fully working MECHANIZED ATTACK dual (two-player) arcade gun video game. When I say fully working, I mean I went through it and made sure the picture is perfect, the guns fire well all over the screen, the sound is perfect (I rebuilt the sound section of the board with new caps and amp chip), the recoil solenoids are working perfectly, it has two working quarter coin mechs and cash box, and the lights are all working. It also has nice keyed-alike round (barrel) locks on all 4 access doors.
I believe this game is SNK's answer to Taito's Operation Wolf and Operation Thunderbolt. It is similar in look, feel, and game play. But the recoil on the machine gun feels better / more solid to me. Also, this game used opto sensors in the guns to determine the aim, rather than potentiometers that estimate it. This allows for much more accurate aiming and a more realistic feel. Although I must admit that I have never shot an Uzi at a bunch of moving targets in real life, so I'm not sure I know what is realistic in that realm.
The cabinet is in great shape, solid, no water damage, artwork in great shape on both sides. The instructions in front look perfect, and the marquee and bezel are in great shape too. The coin doors are in excellent condition with working mechs and an original cash box.
The only "flaw" that stands out to me is that the clear plexiglass protector over the top of the control panel is dirty underneath - real dirty. It looks pretty bad. I was too lazy, or uninterested, to take it all apart and clean under it. If you take the time to do that job, this game will be near perfect in my opinion. It just looks like a pretty big job to clean under that thing, so I decided to sell it as I have enough projects ahead of me.
If you are looking for a fun, fully working game that will attract a lot of quarters, this is worth seriously considering.
I know that in the pictures above, the monitor looks like it isn't displaying correctly. However, that is only because the shutter speed is too fast on my phone camera. So it captures the picture while the monitor is drawing the screen and looks like half the screen is missing. Watch the video included above and you will see that the monitor has a great picture.
