TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE AUCTION By registering for this auction, you indicate that you have read and agree to the full terms and conditions set forth below. The purchase price shall be the final hammer price plus a buyer’s premium of 23% and any applicable sales tax. Bids are considered binding contracts to purchase. We strive to provide accurate descriptions and condition reports, but all lots are sold AS IS. Please read the descriptions and examine the photos. We are happy to answer your questions and provide additional and higher-resolution photographs. Please ask! We will answer questions in the order in which they are received. Please note: as some of the auction lots remain on-site in Jefferson, Ohio, we do not have daily access, and thus will hold questions until we are on-site and able to answer them. By bidding on any lot, you acknowledge that you are satisfied with the item(s) as is and are prepared to pick up or have shipped every item in all lots purchased. All sales are final. BIDDING Bidding can be done via our online bidding platforms, Live Auctioneers and HiBid. Bids may be left in advance of the auction, or you may bid live during the sale on April 26. The execution of online bids will be handled by the bidding platforms. The Ohio Company Antiques & Art will not be held liable for any missed bids due to technical issues or loss of internet connectivity. Purchases made through Live Auctioneers are subject to sales tax if you do not have an exemption form on file with Live Auctioneers. PLEASE NOTE: BIDDING IS ONLINE ONLY. THERE WILL BE NO LIVE BIDDING AT THE MUSEUM IN JEFFERSON. The auctioneer will have sole discretion to settle any and all bidding disputes. PAYMENT Invoices will be sent out within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Payment is due upon receipt of that invoice. We accept most major credit cards, as well as cash or wire transfer. Sales tax: The bidding platforms may collect and remits sales tax from online bidders unless you have a file tax exemption form filed directly with them. For those paying us directly, per Ohio Dept. of Taxation Information Release ST-1991-01, Auctioneers, clause 2, we are not required to collect and remit sales tax for this auction. The buyer's premium is the same regardless of payment method. No lots will be released without payment. PICKUP There is one day for scheduled pickup in Jefferson, Ohio: Friday, April 28, from 11:00-4:00. Unless previous arrangements have been made, ALL LOTS THAT REQUIRE PICKUP MUST BE PICKED UP THAT DAY OR WILL BE SUBJECT TO DAILY STORAGE FEES. Please note: if you purchase one or more of the book lots and wish to pick them up on April 28, you must notify us in advance so that we can bring your lots to Jefferson. SHIPPING There is limited in-house shipping for this auction. If a lot has in-house shipping as an option, it will be noted in the catalog description. Packing and shipping for other, small items will be handled by the UPS Store in Mentor (9401 Mentor Ave, Mentor, OH 44060, 440-255-5555, www.theupsstore.com/0245). Once you have paid your invoice, we will transport your item(s) to them and you will pay them directly for packing and shipping. We strongly encourage you to call or email the before bidding to get a packing and shipping estimate. For furniture and other large items, it is the buyer’s responsibility to transport or arrange for transportation. Both the sellers and the auctioneer disclaim any and all liability due to any damages or injury arising from using anything purchased in this auction as anything other than a collectible to display.
