The Kidde Smoke Detector, Long-Life Lithium Battery Powered Smoke Alarm with Hush Button, model P3010L, is a photoelectric smoke detector that is powered by a sealed lithium battery that operates for approximately a decade. A smoke detector, battery operated, can help keep your family safer, as the fire alarm continues to work even in during power outages. This photoelectric smoke detector senses visible fire particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms. However, it is recommended that both ionization and photoelectric smoke detectors be installed to help ensure maximum detection of the various types of fires that can occur within the home. Install a smoke detector on every level of your home and inside each bedroom. This Kidde smoke detector is easy to install; the alarm activates automatically when it’s attached to the mounting bracket, and a long-life tamper-proof battery eliminates the need for battery replacements over the lifetime of the alarm.
With a single Test/Hush button, you can check that your smoke detector is working and temporarily silence “nuisance” of “false” alarms that occur from routine cooking, shower steam, humidity, or dirt and dust. In standby condition, the LED will flash every 60 seconds for the first 10 minutes following power-on or test, and once every 10 minutes thereafter. It will also flash every 10 seconds while in Hush mode. The red LED will also blink in conjunction with the alert sound when the smoke detector is in alarm mode. This smoke detector, battery operated, is UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty. Meets requirements of UL217, NFPA72, The State of California Fire Marshal, NFPA 101, FHA, & HUD.
