BIDS LEFT IN THE ABSENTEE CATALOG WILL BE TAKEN TO THE LIVE AUCTION ON 4/1 AND USED TO BID COMPETITIVELY AGAINST THE LIVE CROWD. YOUR BID IS A LEGAL & BINDING AGREEMENT. No Item shall be removed from the premises without the assistance of Island Auction Company Personnel. Please do not attempt to remove your items on your own. As (most) items sell they will be gathered by IAC personnel. After your bill is paid IAC Personnel will assist you with obtaining your items and each item will be checked off as it leaves the building to ensure everyone receives the exact items they won. At this time the Loading & Removal of purchased goods will become the sole responsibility of the buyer. Island Auction Co. is not liable for any loss or personal injury that may occur during that process. All items are sold strictly as is, where is including all faults. It is the bidder's responsibility to determine the exact condition and authenticity of an item. Island Auction Co. strives to accurately describe all lots. Any and all disputes resulting or arising in connection with this auction shall be heard in the general court of Dare County, North Carolina as the sole and exclusive venue. By placing a bid the bidder signifies that they have examined the items for sale to their satisfaction. Bidders cannot rescind or reduce their bids. All sales are final - no refunds or returns. Island Auction Co. reserves the right to reject any bid that is deemed injurious to the sale of the lot. 15% Buyer's Premium charged to all bidders. All sales subject to North Carolina sales tax as stipulated by state law, unless we have a resale certificate from your business on file. If paying in person you may bring a copy. If paying online you will need to send a copy or you will be charged tax. AFTER FACILITATION OF THE SALE OF THE SALVAGE RIGHTS IAC WILL NOT BE A PART OF THE REMOVAL PROCESS. IT WILL BECOME THE RESPSONSIBILITY OF THE HIGH BIDDER TO WORK WITH THE DARE COUNTY BOARD OF TOURISM AND ANY LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES TO FACILITATE A SAFE, LAWFULL & LEGAL PLAN FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE PIRATE SHIP. THE SHIP DOES NOT HAVE TO BE REMOVED IN ITS ENTIRETY. THE WINNING BIDDER MAY SALVAGE WHAT THEY WANT AND LEAVE THE REST BEHIND WHILE WORKING ON A TIME FRAME SET FORTH BY THE DARE COUNTY BOARD OF TOURISM. The winning bidder agrees to work with the Dare County Board of Tourism and formulate a plan for removal within 45 days of the sale date or the Dare County Board of Tourism has the right to Cancel the Sale without refund. ***PICK UP TIMES MUST BE SCHEDULED (IF YOU CANNOT REMOVE YOUR ITEMS ON AUCTION DAY) All items must be picked up on their Designated day(s) (PLEASE USE THE SCHEDULING LINK IN THE EMAIL SENT POST AUCTIONS), unless prior arrangements have been made. Any items not claimed after those two days will be considered abandoned and will become the property of Island Auction Co. with no refunds given. Pick up is done at the responsibility of the buyer. All packing, handling, shipping and delivery services are performed at the sole risk of the buyer. Purchases must be paid for in full prior to pick up. SHIPPING: IF SHIPPING IS REQUIRED: Please notify us on the comments section of the registration. (no furniture will ship) The Monday following the auction we will begin (out of house) packing and shipping invoices will be sent out. Furniture Items cannot be shipped by Island Auction Co. Smaller Lots can always be shipped and will incur a Separate shipping charge which will be invoiced to the buyer the following week when items are packed.
