Note: Purchasers are always welcome to pay with cash or a check at pick up. (3% discount for cash or check payment)
3. Now you are ready to place a bid. There are two ways to do this.
a. You can bid to the next increment. Bidding is set up with predetermined bid increments. (As the price increases so do the bid increments)
b. You can place a max bid. You are able to put in your max bid and the auction software will bid on your behalf. With this method you do not have to keep watching the auction.
4. Once you are the successful bidder we will send you an invoice with your purchases and pick up information. Pick up typically starts the day after the auction closes but please read the terms and conditions for each auction.
Pickup:
1. Remember to bring any packing materials, boxes, blankets and hand carts needed to load your purchases.

The high bid from the online sale will be executed at the Saturday Live In Person Auction, on the behalf of the bidder. In House Bidders will take precedence over a tied bid. Online Bidders must bid the highest maximum bid to assure themselves their best possible advantage to win the bid.

Auction Terms & Conditions Auction Terms & Conditions You are required to read and agree to all terms and conditions for this auction. (If you do not agree please do not register to bid.) All items are sold as is / where is! It is recommended that you attend the open house to familiarize yourself with the items you wish to purchase. (Example: color, size, shape, age, or overall condition). If there is no open house offered, please feel free to call us if there is a question about the condition of a lot prior to bidding. All bids are binding.
Registration: Registration Online requires a credit card for verification of identification only. We will not add any charges to your credit card until auction pick up is over. Therefore, you can pay with a check or cash if you wish.
NO STOP PAYENT ORDERS OR CREDIT CARD CHARGEBACKS:
No stop payment orders or credit card chargebacks. Each bidder agrees that such bidder will not, under any circumstances, (i) issue a stop payment order with respect to any checks issued or in connection with the auction, or (ii) initiate a credit card chargeback with respect to any purchases at the auction. Each bidder further agrees that if, in violation of these terms and conditions, a stop payment order is issued or a credit card chargeback is initiated, these buyer terms & conditions will be conclusive evidence of the bidder's (i) waiver of any rights to issue a stop payment order or to initiate a credit card chargeback, and (ii) agreement not to issue a stop payment order or to initiate a credit card chargeback; and each bidder acknowledges and agrees that the auctioneers presentation of these bidder terms and conditions to the bank, credit card company, or other financial institutions against which a check was drawn or that issued the credit card on which charges were made, such bank, credit card company, or other financial institution will reverse any stop-payment order and/or reverse or deny any credit card chargeback, and will re-credit all amounts to, or for the account of auctioneer. By registering for our online or live auctions you agree to all of our terms and conditions, an online registration will be considered a signed contract from the bidder who wishes to participate in our auction and that the bidder is accepting all of these terms & conditions. All registrations and bids are considered legal and binding.
Bidding: Once you have registered now it's time to bid. Go to view catalog. Click on an item inside the catalog that you wish to bid on. After reading the description you can now bid. Click on the "bid button". You can bid to the next increment or place a max bid. If you choose max bid the computer will bid for you up to your max amount. Preset bidding increments have been set up. As the price of an item increases the bid amount increments will increase. It is not necessary to enter a decimal point and zeros to your bid amount. The computer software will enter them for you. Some items will be sold "times the money". If it's a sold "times the money" item it will look like this "X5". Example: If an item sells for $2 dollars each and it is a X5 lot then the price will be $10.
Auction Closing: Our Internet auctions use a "soft close" format. An item will close every 10 seconds after the beginning of an auction. This gives the bidder the opportunity to bid on more than one item. If there is an advance bid inside of 2 minutes to close the bidding, that item will be extended by 2 minutes. This process will continue until there is no more bidding activity.
Payment: A 20% (15% for cash or good check) buyer's premium will be added to the final purchase price of each item. Payment is expected on pick up day. We accept most major credit cards, cash or good check. After final Pickup day, the items will be considered abandoned and resold. All monies will be retained by Dan Carter Inc. and any loses will be owed by delinquent buyer.
Pick up information: Pick up times are listed in the auction description, as well as the beginning lots of the auction. An appointment must be made to pick up your items.
Buyers will be charged for all items purchased whether you pick them up or not. It is your best interest to make an appointment during the scheduled pick up times.
Sales Tax: 8% New York State sales tax will be charged on all purchases and buyer's premium. If you are tax exempt, you must sign a resale or farm exempt form.
