This is a really nice condition, fully working Nichibutsu MOON CRESTA cocktail arcade game! Moon cresta is a really fun game - similar to Galaga and in MY opinion, more fun than Galaga. It is basically the same game as Eagle by Centuri. I believe that Centuri licensed it from Nichibutsu to produce Eagle.
Anyway, here is why I think it is better than Galaga. Galaga has wave after wave of the exact same aliens coming down on you, which you have to fight over and over again until the game is over or you get bored. Moon Cresta has different waves of different types of aliens that you have to fight as you progress through the game. Each enemy requires different tactics to defeat, which adds depth and challenge. Galaga allows you to dock two ships together (actually automatically docks them for you) so you can fire 2 shots. Moon Cresta makes YOU do the docking of 2 ships by lining them up perfectly, then you get 3 shots! And if you survive in that configuration, you can then dock with a third ship for 5 shots!!! Plus it has some nice little tunes it plays at different junctures of the game.
So I can't understand why Galaga became one of the top 3 games in the history of arcade games, and Moon Cresta is all but forgotten. I'd play Moon Cresta over Galaga every time.
This Moon Cresta is in really nice shape too - the top glass, instruction cards, and both control panels are in excellent condition. It has the original coin box and working coin mech. The body and legs are in great shape, and the chrome is in excellent condition. This would look great in any rec room. Also, the legs are height adjustable to your preference.
You won't be disappointed with this game - I assure you.
I know in the pictures above, the monitor looks like it isn't displaying right, but that's just because the shutter speed is too fast on my phone camera. So it captures the picture while the monitor is drawing the screen and looks like half the screen is missing. Trust me, or just watch the video above, and you will see that the monitor has a perfect picture.
