This is a decent, working Taito TWIN COBRA arcade game. It is in a restorable BURGERTIME cabinet, although it would be a fairly complex restoration to de-convert it and return it to Burgertime. However, Burgertime is a valuable enough game to at least consider it.
As far as Twin Cobra goes, it is actually a really fun game and holds its own respectable place in arcade popularity/history. It is one of the first two-player simultaneous SHMUP type games (stands for Shoot-em-up) that really took off and almost defined an entire genre. There were a ton of spin-offs to Twin cobra: Twin Eagle, Twin Hawk, Twin Falcons, Twin Cobra 2, Twin Eagle 2, etcetera. This was the game that started it all. So one must think it through carefully before dismissing the software in this cabinet now before going back to Burgertime. In fact, it's not a bad Twin Cobra - nice sideart and monitor bezel. The control panel art isn't bad, and the marquee is really nice and although it is cracked on the left side, you almost can't tell unless you look really closely at it.
The game is fully working, but honestly the monitor needs a cap kit rebuild. It's a Hantarex monitor, which is respectable and can deliver a nice picture once rebuilt. The game comes with the original manual, although the back door is missing.
The bad news about the cabinet is that it DID get wet on top at some point in its life. The water damage is mostly cosmetic, as the top is still solid and not structurally a problem, but it does look really bad to the naked eye. I don't think you can do much to fix the top, but does it really matter? Just clean it off, paint it flat black, and push the game back against the wall and never think about it again.
As far as Burgertime goes, the only thing left original to Burgertime is the power supply and the cabinet. You can buy sideart and front art. You can get a marquee, bezel, and control panel overlay. Then to be honest, your easiest and cheapest way to make it a burgertime would be to just use the existing jamma harness in it and throw a 60 in 1 board in it set to only play Burgertime. Unless you're a purist, in which case you probably wouldn't be intersted in trying to buy this and turn it back into a Burgertime anyway.
