This is a pretty nice condition Donkey Kong cocktail arcade game. It is not working at the moment, but is very restorable / repairable. The monitor is not working, but has a tube with almost no burn. When I powered it up to test it, the game boards made the power up boing sound that Donkey Kong makes when you turn it on. But after having it on for a short time, I saw some smoke coming from the inside and unplugged it. I'm guessing that it was a bad capacitor on the monitor that was making the smoke. If not, it could be the power supply. In the former case, just remove the monitor and rebuild it with a cap kit, and your problem should be solved (I'm sure the monitor needs a cap kit either way, as it's 40+ years old). If the latter, just replace the power supply with a new switcher and adapter from arcade shop (like $30-40). A new power supply would be a good idea anyway.
So either way, this project should not be too difficult, and you'll have a pretty nice original Nintendo Donkey Kong when you're done. This is one of the most iconic games ever made. And truly fun to play and attempt to master. Watch the movie "The King of Kong: A fistful of quarters" for inspiration if necessary. Probably the best or most entertaining documentary I've seen.
The cabinet is in good condition and it is complete. The top is in great shape, with excellent condition underlay artwork. There is some rust inside, but nothing too bad. The woodgrain trim veneer around the outside of the top is a bit rough, but that's easily addressed and fixed.
Another nice thing about this cabinet is that it's relatively small and lightweight, so easy to move around and find space for.
