Fully working with a gorgeous picture. This is a 7000 series monitor - one of the most common and reliable models Wells Gardner ever made. It is a 20" picture tube, but I believe that it is using the same frame and mounting as a 19" and should fit in 19" applications. The frame is pretty nice, with a neck protector.
I rebuilt this monitor with new capacitors and a new flyback transformer. That SHOULD make it good for decades, but you never know. Also, in the video I said it's a 19" monitor, and that's what I thought when I made the video. But later as I was staring at it I thought, "something just doesn't look the same about this" and upon further examination discovered that the tube is in fact a 20" tube. It is using the same chassis (electronics) as a 19", but the tube is 20". I must admit that I am baffled by this, because in 35+ years in the arcade business, I have never encountered a Wells 20" monitor. But like I said, I think the mounting is the same as the 19".
This is a CGA monitor, which means that it will work with the signal from just about all arcade games from 1979 through about the late 90s. There are a handful of games that used EGA but less than 1%. If you have any question about it, just email or text me with the name of the game you want to put this in and I'll tell you if it's compatible.
In the picture above, the picture on the monitor looks like there is a problem, but that is just because the shutter speed on my phone is too fast for the refresh rate on the monitor. Watch the video and you'll see how perfect the picture is in actual real life.
I am willing to ship this monitor, but I will need to add a $50 packaging charge because I am going to have to build a custom wooden apparatus to put inside a custom cardboard box in order to try to protect it so it will arrive unbroken. It will be a major pain but I am pretty confident that I can get it packaged safely.
Of course if you pick it up there will be no extra charge.
