Lot # : 109 - Magic the Gathering Beta Starter Deck

Magic: The Gathering Beta Edition Starter Deck (Wizards of the Coast, 1993). Offered here is a factory sealed Magic: The Gathering starter deck from the Beta Edition. It has never been opened, to the best of our knowledge, based on the appearance of the packaging that is sealed with no rips or tears in the plastic. It was purchased from the original owner's estate near Atlanta. This has been kept in the pictured protective collector case that comes with the deck. After the huge success of the Alpha Edition, Wizards of the Coast printed and released its second set, Beta Edition, a mere 2 months later. We know it's a Beta Edition Deck because it includes a barcode on the bottom side and does not say the words "Unlimited Edition." Inside, you might find a Black Lotus, Timetwister, Mox, or any of the other Power Nine cards! This deck could also contain Alpha rares or in the best of circumstances, it could be what is known as a god pack which would contain 15 rares in the place of the uncommons! The deck contains a total of 60 cards. Overall condition is Excellent. It is hard to determine the condition of the box with the plastic on. It may have slightly bunted corners or pressed edges.
