The primary soil types on the tillable acres consist of the Sac, Primghar, Marcus, and Spicer series. The farm has an estimated average CSR 1 of 80.9 and an excellent CSR 2 of 97.2. According to the FSA office the farm has 82.22 cropland/ tillable acres with the remainder as road and ditch.
