This is an online-only auction. Lots will begin closing at 4:30 PM CST on Wednesday August 7, 2024. It is a staggered closing meaning not all lots close at once. There is also a soft close, so if someone bids in the last 2 minutes of an item closing, it will extend out another 2 minutes. You will need to sign up with a HiBid account and have a valid credit card required for bidding approval, but will have the option to pay with cash or good check. Please note this auction is for pick-up only, no shipping offered! Please do not bid if you are unable to pick up your items on Thursday August 8th! There is a 10% Buyers Premium that will be added to the final purchase price if paying with cash or check. If paying with credit card, there will be an additional 5% fee for use of card, so 15% buyers premium for payment by credit card. Sales Taxed Charged if Applicable. Acceptable payment methods are cash, good check (Letter of credit may be required if buyer is unknown to the auction company), wire transfer. We will not be able to run credit cards at the auction site, so if you need to pay by card, please contact us immediately after the auction. *Purchases over $500 will require a wire transfer unless prior arrangements are made with the auction company* Auction company reserves the right to request a wire transfer for any payment if necessary. Winning bidders will be emailed a link to sign up for a scheduled pickup time. The pick-up date is Thursday August 8th from 9 AM to 4 PM. No items will be released until payment has been made in full. There will be steps to get to the house, you must plan to BRING YOUR OWN HELP FOR LOADING. Also bring any additional boxes or packing materials you may need. Any items that are not picked up on Thursday August 9th, the card on file will be charged and they will be considered forfeited unless prior arrangements are made with the auction company. If you are the successful bidder on an item, an invoice will be sent to the email that you registered with. You will be sent a link to sign up for a scheduled time slot. If you are unable to pick up your items on the designated pickup day in the time frame stated, please do not bid! If items are not picked up, your card used to register will be charged & the items will be considered forfeited. No refunds will be issued for any reason. Items can be previewed on Monday August 5 10:00 A.M. to 12 Noon at 309 East Main St Waukon IA. All items are sold AS IS and it is up to the buyers to examine to the best of their ability. The auction company has done our best to describe the item and flaws or defects, but there is no warranties or guarantees on the items, expressed or implied and will not be held responsible for errors or omissions in descriptions. No returns, all sales are final. Buyer will not initiate chargebacks for any reason. Sweeney Auction Service reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in this auction if necessary. The auction company reserves the right to decline bidders if necessary. Online only bidding is a service that is provided and bidders acknowledge and understand that it may not function properly. The auction company reserves the right to cancel, postpone or pause the auction if complications or circumstances out of our control occur. We will not be held responsible for any missed bids from the system, please consider using the max bid feature which allows your bid to be treated as absentee bid.
