All paperwork for firearms will be done on site at no extra cost. * If you purchase a handgun that needs to be added to your pistol permit, PLEASE contact your county for information. You can print out the paid invoice we email you and bring it (or send it, whatever your county's rules are) to your pistol permit office. They will add the handgun to your permit and issue you a purchase coupon for your handgun. You will then come to pick up your hangun at Hessney Auction Center. Be sure to bring NYS pistol permit, receipt, and purchase coupon . * MONROE COUNTY Hand Gun Buyers, Your county requires extra paperwork, we have over 500 buyers per auction, you must REQUEST your counties paperwork from us by EMAIL, with your full name and we will email it back to you, this request must be made with at least 24 hour notice to your scheduled County Appointment, you cannot call us while at the county and expect this paperwork to be sent over in 5 minutes. Please Advise. * Each county may have different hours/instructions. We realize many cannot pick up the week after auction; simply make an appointment by email for Monday - Wednesday the following week (or when you receive your purchase coupon). All firearm purchases require a Federal Background Check (NICS Check) unless you have a Federal Firearms License. All pistols require a NYS pistol permit unless you have a federal firearms license. Some firearms are not NYS compliant. Read the descriptions prior to bidding. SHIPPING: You will be emailed and/or texted a link from Shipping Saint and Hessney Auction Co., you are asked to choose "Shipping" or "Pick up' If you select shipping, our staff will gather your items once moved to our shipping area you will receive another notification, when the items are packed you will get a text and email again with the cost and have to pay for your label as well as a tracking number. Once paid we will print it out and mail it. Please be patient. We have 100's of packages to send out each week and a small staff, however we try our best to keep all costs low. Each package will have a 5-10 handling fee. All Priority boxes are $5 flat fee handling. Any new boxes depending on size can cost up to $10.00 Costs to buyers for shipping is based on USPS or UPS and the above handling charge. All postage, insurance and $10 handling fee will be added to EACH shipment for firearms. ** Ammunition Shipping: NYS RESIDENTS: All ammunition must be shipped to an FFL. For all out of state buyers, we will follow any federal regulations for shipping and amAmmo is shipped via UPS due to restrictions with USPS. There will be a $5 handling fee per package. * Please note in descriptions items that we will not ship. *NOTE: New York State law requires that a National Instant Criminal Background Check must be completed prior to all firearm sales or transfers, including sales or transfers of rifles or shotguns. The sale of transfer of a firearm, rifle or shotgun at a gun auction without first conducting a Background Check is a crime.

SHIPPING/ PACKING : ** We do try our best to get all packages out in a timely manner, but with everything going on in the world right now, the USPS is experiencing delays. We are asking our customers to please allow an additional 10-15 business days (this does NOT include weekends or holidays) for shipping/tracking updates. SHIPPING INSURANCE: Hessney Auction Company ships via USPS and UPS with Insurance on items over $100 at the cost of the buyer through the outside company Shipping Saint. If your item(s) are lost/damaged, all claims MUST be made through Hessney Auction Company within 30 days of shipment. If a claim is made independently of Hessney Auction Company, all insurance is voided, and we cannot make an additional claim on your behalf. If a claim must be made please email us and we will provide you with a detailed list of what must be included in order for us to submit it to our carrier/Insurance. *PLEASE NOTE Insurance ONLY COVERS THE PURCHASE PRICE: this is a term directly from our companies insurance. Auctioneer’s Limitation of Liability for Transit Services: Buyer understands and agrees that Auctioneer’s liability for loss of or damage to the items, if any, ends when the items have been delivered to the Secure Location, and Auctioneer has received evidence of delivery. Any claim that property has sustained loss or damage during transit must be reported to Auctioneer within seventy-two (72) hours of the delivery date. Under no circumstances is Auctioneer liable for consequential orpunitive damages. * SHIPMENTS must be sent to the billing address of the card holder or the FFL Dealer address on license, * If you fail your background check you will NOT get a refund, you can consign it to a future auction. *NOTE: New York State law requires that a National Instant Criminal Background Check must be completed prior to all firearm sales or transfers, including sales or transfers of rifles or shotguns. All Ammo is shipped via UPS - no Ammo can be shipped to a NYS resident but can be shipped to an FFL near you. * We do NOT ship powder or primers or mounts Everything is sold AS IS. WHERE IS. All Sales are Final- No Returns. Hessney Auction Co. provides ample opportunity for buyers to thoroughly inspect goods to be sold. All purchases should be made on the buyer's own recognizance. All persons bidding in absentee who have not physically inspected the goods prior to the sale are also subjected to these terms. All lots are sold "As is". There are no warranties expressed or implied, including, but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. "As New" does not mean "New" it is a condition report, meaning the firearm is "as new condition". If a firearm is brand new- unfired, it will be listed as so. * Box Lot Ammo- Please be sure to review photos & full descriptions for box lot ammo, all is sold as is. In person preview is available. Box lot ammo may contain mixed, partial or full boxes and is sold as is. The lot descriptions are meant merely as a guide and we do not guarantee the counts or descriptions described therein. We make every effort to accurately describe all items, but there is the possibility of error. Hessney Auction Company is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the description of merchandise. Buyers Premium: All sales are subject to a Buyer's Premium; reference to the buyer's premium is made in auction advertisments, flyers and catalogs.
