Firearms: Lot 14 Auctions, P.C. observes all Federal, state and local gun laws. Only the registered bidder may pay for and pick up firearm(s) after the mandatory three-day waiting period (excluding weekends and legal holidays), if applicable. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, PURCHASE A FIREARM FOR ANOTHER PERSON. Lot 14 Auctions may, at its discretion, refuse a bid for any reason. For local pickups, Midwest Firearm Transfers, LLC charges a $35 processing fee. Firearm sales to Illinois residents with a valid FOID card will be subject to a Federal background check and statutory waiting period. Do not bid on a firearm if -- by judgment or disability -- you may not legally possess a firearm. Any attempt to circumvent Federal, state or local laws governing firearm sales will be reported to local law enforcement and to the ATF field office. You must be 18 years old to purchase rifles or shotguns, and 21 years old to purchase a handgun. You must be 18 to purchase long gun ammunition and age 21 to purchase handgun ammunition. You are responsible for knowing if your state bars a certain type of firearm/ammo/accessory from being shipped to you. Know your laws BEFORE bidding. The buyer is responsible for transfer fees for Midwest Firearm Transfers, LLC, shipping fees, and any fees charged by the FFL to whom the handgun is transferred, at the request of the buyer. IT IS THE BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT THEIR RECEIVING FFL AND ARRANGE TRANSFER AND FFL REMITTANCE.
Lot 14 Auctions is NOT an FFL dealer, but we are partnering with Midwest Firearm Transfers, LLC, here in Niles. IL (Sales@midwesttransfers.com, 1-833-YOUR-FFL). ALL firearms are stored at Midwest Firearm Transfers. None of the auction guns are kept on-site at Lot 14. Midwest Firearms will handle the transfers and shipping per Federal and State laws, and fees will be charged by Lot 14 and added to your invoice, unless you are picking up locally from Midwest Transfers. Midwest Transfers will Fees: Transfer - $35. Handgun shipping with insurance - (typically $45-55). Long gun shipping - (typically $50-70). Shipping can be combined to reduce the costs. Shipping will be to FFL ONLY (NO C&R licenses). Shipping to Alaska or Hawaii will be higher (call for quote). No International sales. No sales to California, Washington D.C., New York City or Puerto Rico.
Local pick-up is available by appointment with Midwest Transfers. Please make sure your Driver’s License and FOID card are available and bring these with you, with the transfer fee, for the transfer.
All firearms should be examined and serviced by a certified gunsmith before loading or firing. No warranties or guarantees, express or implied, are made by the consigner, Lot 14 Auctions, P.C. or Midwest Firearms Transfers. All firearms are sold as is. If the successful bidder of a firearm is barred from receiving the firearm due to the failure of a background check, or any other legal bar to their possession, they will be in default, and this default will result in fees due to Lot 14 Auctions, P.C. in the total amount of the buyer’s premium plus a $250 fee within 5 business days of the default.

We will ship most items, including coin lots, for actual shipping and materials costs, unless otherwise noted. If your lot is smaller than 24" in every dimension, we can offer in-house shipping through USPS, FedEx or UPS. There are some items we are unable to ship due to size, fragility, weight or carrier restrictions, but we will work with your shipper or hold your purchase for you for a reasonable amount of time after you pay for it.
