This is THE dream dressage horse you’ve always wanted. Well, he was my dream horse, maybe now he's yours.
5yo, black with all the bling, movement to burn, ACE registered Warmblood gelding. X-rayed in all leg joints and spine by Cathels Equine, and declared low risk. I will attach the report asap, I am waiting on a new copy as I stupidly let my email server delete it. In the meantime please feel free to verify this info with Dr. Holly Cathels.
Recently broken in and had 6 weeks under saddle with a professional breaker. Please see 3rd video link for video under saddle. He has now been spelled for 4 weeks and is a fresh, blank canvas ready to take his new owner all the way.
"Daggers" was bred Paradise Stud. I purchased him as a weanling to be my forever, take-me-the-top horse. He is closely related to my previous competition horse, HPS Ray of Sunshine, who I trained to medium level dressage prior to selling, and is now competing Prix St George with a young rider.
So why is he being sold this way? I have been through a divorce and lost my property. I have tried so desperately hard to hang on to this guy anyway, or at least to break him and produce him for sale myself to ensure he goes to the right person. I’ve wasted thousands of dollars trying not to let go, I could have just bought an import for what I have spent trying to keep this horse.
But with the massive changes that have occurred in my life, I don't even have the time, let alone the finances to continue with horses at all.
I came to this realisation a year ago, when he was rising 4, and sent him and his older brother away to a trainer to be broken in, produced and sold. That "trainer" took $9500 of my money, kept the horses in a paddock for NINE MONTHS, and didn't touch them once. I had to finally engage a lawyer to be able to retrieve them, and although she signed a legal deed to return the money within 60 days, I am still waiting. I've had to engage further legal action to enforce the deed. I am quite confident that this will end with a court case to enforce, she relies on the fact that people always give up and she gets away with this over and over again (don't all the stories come out of the woodwork AFTER you've got yourself into trouble with a person in this industry).
Not to be discouraged, I sent both horses to another breaker, where they were both broken in beautifully within weeks (see attached ridden video). However due to reasons I won't air publicly, I also had reason to begin to mistrust this breaker and the subsequent pro rider who was booked to take over and produce him. I booked transport and brought him home. Cue 3 weeks of being messed around by the transport company, until finally I had to threaten legal action to THEM to get my horse delivered home!
I am just done. I am so broken by this industry, and the whole world really. I cannot help this horse myself because of my life situation, and every professional I have turned to for help to do this the right way, has taken what little money I have left, and done the dirty on me. The friends I thought I had in the horse industry, who have had both the means and facilities to help me finish these horses and get them sold, have all turned their backs, and watched on while scoffing their popcorn. As soon as I couldn’t afford champagne lunches at Boneo Park, and new saddles every week then I was dropped like a hot potato, and even my money wasn’t good enough for them. Hence why I’ve ended up open slather to every blood-sucking liar in the industry. What little bit of money I have left you can be damn sure will be going to my lawyer to take down the assholes that have done this to me, and not into the pocket of yet another thieving liar horse trainer.
So this is it. After 36 years this is the end of horses for me. I’ve got no more in me, it’s in God’s hands now and I just pray he ends up with the person that can make him into everything I see possible in him.
He’s quiet, and sensible, but very sensitive, more so on the ground than under saddle. And freshly broken. You’d be out of your mind to ride him unless you are experienced with talented, sensitive, young horses. He will not be able to cope with flopping, bouncing, pulling, or any nervousness. Being young, inexperienced and sensitive, there’s a very good chance you’ll be sitting spooks etc. And being so athletic, you’ll want really good core muscles and a balanced seat to do that. If this isn’t you, but you still want him (who wouldn’t right?) then please know that you will have to get some further professional training for him. And good luck to you with that!! God knows who you’d be able to trust.
But if you have the ability to ride a talented young horse and bring it up through the levels yourself, then here’s your opportunity to get one at genuine fire sale price.
