Dear Potential Buyer,
Hi my name is Brayden Martin, I’m 14 years old and a Freshman at Biggs High School. This is my first year as a FFA member and before this I was active in Biggs 4-H since I was 6 and up until last spring when I went on to show as an Independent exhibitor and won Grand Champion and Supreme Grand Champion overall with my rabbit meat pen BM1, BM2, and BM3, they manage to stay healthy and strong and there weights were impressive at weighing in each at 5 pounds I couldn’t get any better at managing that. During raising my project I was also heavily involved with many sports and academics to stay focused on maintaining my 4.0 GPA as I wanted to be able to join the sports teams at the High School. I was playing basketball for 8th grade along with playing AAU basketball league which I’m currently still doing, along with football. I also played my last year of Junior Baseball, TOC, and Allstars, along with being a member of our ASB team at Biggs Middle School. I have accomplished so much more over this last year and hope to keep it all going. I had earned the quarterback position for the Gridley Titans by having the support of my coaches and them believing in me just as the buyers do for our projects. I’m hoping to earn and achieve this goal for myself in academics this first year in High School along with going out for the quarterback of the Biggs High Football team. Sports is a passion of mine, I plan on playing basketball and baseball for the Biggs High School teams alongside my big brother.
I want to tell you about my project. I have raised market rabbits since I was 9and showed them at both fairs. I am showing a rabbit meat pen that I named BB1, BM2, and BM3. I have many experiences with raising my rabbits from going to a showmanship clinic, learning to tattoo them, knowing what it takes to raise quality rabbits and getting them market ready, also learning what it takes to manage their weights and what the opportunities are. I’m open to always learning new tricks and opportunities from other leaders and exhibitors, also the judges I always ask questions to what I take to become better. I enjoy raising rabbits but I would maybe like to take a leap and try raising a market hog. I spend a lot of quality time with my rabbits working with them, exercising them, and feeding them. I clean there cages twice a day along with feeding them morning and evening, lately I have had to give lots of extra water due to this extreme heat we have had this summer even had to move them into the house with the air conditioning to keep them cool and comfortable I take a lot of pide into my projects to bring you the best quality.
I plan to continue pursuing more into the FFA programs as I enter high school and what it has to offer. I plan on doing rabbit meat pens again and then would like to try a market hog. My future plans are that I’m hoping to earn a scholarship for one of the many sports I play. As a buyer your support could help me to continue with my growth and accomplishments in many future career moves. I may have and opportunities I’m still young and many future careers may change as I grow and discover who I want to become.
I want to invite you to the Butte County Fair Buyers Breakfast on Saturday, August 24th at 8:00am, and Livestock Auction at 10:00am. “If you are not able to go to the auction and would still like to support, you are able to do an add on. I will attach a form behind. Than kyou for your time and consideration.”
Best,
Brayden Martin
