Bing and Grondahl B&G Figurine No.1614 "Love Refused" Girl Kissing Boy Denmark Royal Copenhagen (Den Kongelige Porcelainsfabrik) founded way back in 1775 under the patronage of the Royal House of Denmark, represented by regina Juliana Maria, is one of the oldest porcelain factories still in business in the world. The production of the “Royal Copenhagen” and “Bing&Grondahl” porcelain figurines is done exclusively by hand, respecting ancient traditions. During the production process a figurine passes through the expert hands of numerous craftsmen. It is with these expert hands that the dough is poured into the molds and the different parts of the figurine joined together. The carvings are made with a steady hand and, after the first firing in the oven, the figurines are decorated and then glazed manually; each of them is, therefore, a unique work that bears the painter's signature. After a new firing in the oven and a careful quality control, the figurines are ready to be admired all over the world.
