Gerald "Bud" Shelton & wife Barbara (deceased 2018) grew up on family farms in southern Indiana, moved to Henry County after marring in 1957. They raised three children and taught at Sulphur Springs, Mooreland, Union, and Blue River Valley Schools. Mr. Shelton was the principal of Blue River Valley.
