The engine was owned by Sydney Smith for around 40 years using the engine for chaff cutting and thrashing.The engine was then sold to E. Connell who used the engine to drive a Saw Mill at Dove Lake, Tasmania cutting King Billy Pine.George Winwood then purchased the engine for 100 Pounds and was sold to the current owner Mr Max Chatwin around 40 years ago. Max has loved and meticulously maintained the engine ever since and it has always been housed on his property at Sprent, Tasmania.
