• Brunette near mint Japanese Skipper has factory perfect silky hair • The Japanese Skipper dolls (#S950) were sold between 1964 and 1966 and shared many features with the regular S/L Skipper dolls. However, Japanese Skippers had distinctive characteristics, such as black eyes glancing to the left. Each side of their eyes was adorned with three painted black eyelashes, and most dolls featured black eyebrows such as this doll • She has two green dots above her ears from headband (not included) which is covered by her hair • There were two versions of vinyl for this doll; one was the pink skin vinyl and the other version was the tan vinyl, which is harder to find • What is even more spectacular is that she comes dressed in a 1971 Prototype Fashion • This fashion was designed by Carol Spencer as a “sister set” to accompany Barbie’s suede skirt and best produced in 1971 • A certificate of authenticity from Carol is also included with this set which consists of a two tone faux suede full skirt with matching vest and orange tricot long sleeve bouse.
