Madison Reiselt - Goat

Seller: Madison Reiselt Group Affiliation: Palermo 4-H Species: Goat My name is Madison Reiselt, I am 14 years old and I’m in the 8th grade this year. I am currently enjoying homeschooling, but also looking forward to attending Core Butte High next year. My favorite subjects this year have been math and history, I love numbers they are never wrong, and US History has been one of my favorite things to learn about. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, and volunteering at the Oroville Rescue Mission with my mom working with the unhoused. This is my seventh year in 4H and my third year raising a Meat Goat. I also raise Beef cows and dairy goats and have raised show chickens. I love showing cows but needed a break, so we went back to meat goats and realized how much I love raising them. This year has been so fun because my mom is my leader and I have enjoyed helping her run the showmanship practices and project meetings and help our new 4h members. This year we have 5 new 4H members that decided to show meat goats so that has been fun helping them out. I have learned so much the last 7 years being involved in 4H, and raising Meat and Dairy goats, not only has it taught me a lot of self-discipline and responsibility, but I have also learned about proper feeding methods for my market goat and the proper way to care for my market goat. I have also learned a lot about the anatomy of the market goat and the differences in the Boar Goats verses the Dairy Goat. I will sell my Boar Goat this year at Butte County Fair on August 24 at 9 am and invite you to attend. Thank you; Madison Reiselt.
