This internet bidding platform is used to accept absentee bids on lots prior to auction day and up to the point the lot becomes live. Once live bidding has started on that lot, you may choose to bid live via Hibid against floor bidders and other online bidders.

Similarly, some tokens are to show that the bearer paid in advance for a ride or service in order to get a discount, such as bus tokens, subway tokens, other fare tokens, Canadian highway tokens, and telephone tokens used in countries such as Italy or Israel. Here you may also find gaming tokens (such as Chuck E. Cheese tokens), sales tax tokens, commemorative and souvenir medals and tokens, and government/military/police/firefighter challenge coins.
