100% Mohair Cinch (or Guitar Strap) custom-made to your specifications by Pop Wagner *Pictures are examples only.* All Proceeds go to Kearney Hall!
Pop Wagner has made mohair saddle cinches and presented multi-day 'how to' cinch-making workshops for years, most recently at Kearney Community Hall near Story, Wyoming. Participants at workshops learn to make beautiful traditional mohair cinches. Pop provides looms, hand tools, and one-on-one instruction; written instructions for making a cinch and a cinch loom along with a resource list for supplies. Mohair is strong, wicks moisture, and is an ideal material for a saddle cinch. Traditional mohair cinches are resistant to dirt and will not sore a horse if properly fitted. Beautiful art pieces, there are endless design possibilities. Options include: length, width, color, design, shape, buckle style, and more, to be coordinated with auction buyer.
Many cinches that claim "made in the USA" are made with mohair imported from Africa or Mexico, and hardware from China. Pop sources material from small independent suppliers in the United States, and offers a product that is 100% USA made and sourced.
A musician and performer, he also recognizes that mohair works for guitar straps if made longer and narrower, and with leather at the ends instead of metal cinch buckles.

About Kearney Community Hall: Constructed in the early 1950's on private land, it was historically used for dances, reunions, weddings, socials, voting, various club programs, and other public and private events. By the early 1990's it direly needed maintenance, repair, and reconstruction; it had been essentially abandoned. Since 2010 an effort has been underway to restore the Hall so that it can again be available for year-round community use. Learn more: www.kearneyhall.org
