Were honored and saddened to be handling the Estate of Mr. Stanley Covert. Mr. Covert was Born in 1936 and Operated the Am-Pm Convivence Store in Watkins Glen, NY. Which sparked his passion for collecting long before Petroliana was as in Vogue as it is now. Over the last 12 years I had the Pleasure of knowing Mr. Stanley personally. He was a humble and pleasant person, and even when he was sick id stop anytime I traveled by. He would stay inside and we would sit and trade "Pickin" Stories via the back Porch for a half hour or so then id be on my way. Years ago when he was in better Health he would occasionally even sell me a thing or two for my Personal Collection. Which was and is an Honor as I Don't think he was prone to letting much loose. Our staff's worked hard to showcase Mr. Stanley's Collection and it's a Pleasure to bring it to Market to be enjoyed by others. He Started his Collection so Early on, it showcases some VERY RARE early items. Including a N.O.S Kemper Thomas Ford Sign from the 1930's and a Golden Flo 2 Gallon of which only 3 are known to exist. This being number 3.

Features elaborate etching up and down the Blade and Sword maker inscription on the Top. At some point in its life it appears the Brass on the sheath was cleaned and perhaps the brass on the Hilt. 50 EXTREMLEY RARE c.1930 Golden Flo 2 Gallon Oil Can
Produced by the Fidelity Oil Co.of Philadelphia around 1930. Presumably the Company must have not been in Business long, as VERY FEW IN EXISTENCE...I consulted a very well known Collector who indicated less than 3 known, including this one in the 2 Gal version. This was found out in the Garage of the Estate covered in Dirt and Dust. We gave the can a careful and very light cleaning to reveal the Graphics. Overall Displays Wonderful, Great Color and Graphics are incredible. Can does have some soiling which may clean, light rust, Fade and one little spot of paint loss (See detailed Photos). THIS CANS SO RARE THIS MAY BE THE ONLY ONE TO COME TO MARKET IN YOUR LIFETIME.. So on behalf of Mr. Stanley's Estate we request you Bid with that in mind.
