Auction Terms & Conditions Chelan County Fair Online Market Sale: Buyers must register to bid prior to being allowed to bid. You will need a separate account for each entity you represent. Floor prices will be established by packers and will be announced before the start of the sale. Animals will be weighed on Saturday September 19th, 2020 at the fairgrounds to determine final weights of the animal. - If you turn your animal your invoice will only be for the support price. The total bid amount minus (final weight x floor price) -If you keep your animal you will be invoiced for the total bid amount.
While there is no "turn" button on the auction, on Friday September 18th, 2020 a representative of the auction will reach out to successful bidders to determine if the animal is a "keep or a turn". Please provide a good phone number as this is how the representative will contact you. Buyers who keep their animals will be able to pick a custom butcher shop already coming to the fairgrounds. If they do not wish to use one of those shops they are responsible for pickup at the fairgrounds or responsible to make arrangements for someone to pickup their animal. If you are using a custom butcher shop outside the ones already set up with the fair you must reach out to them prior to make your arrangements. It is encouraged to reach out early as possible as the current Covid-19 conditions have created a high demand for custom butcher shops.
Animal pickup will be Sunday. All animals must be picked up at the fairgrounds by successful bidders or by their arrangements by Sunday. No animals may be left on the fairgrounds past Sunday. If you turn your animal or choose a butcher shop already set up with the fair no pickup will be required. Invoices will be sent to the email provided at registration. Invoices will be sent Monday September the 21st, 2020. Payment is due by October 5th, 2020 to insure prompt payment to the kids.
Animals sell by the head rather than by the pound. For example a bid would be $500 for a market hog rather than $2.00 per pound. Exhibitors will provide an approximate weight of the animal in the animal description to the best of their knowledge. The weight in the description is just an approximation. Bidders should use their own knowledge from the pictures in helping to determine the animals weight. Final weights will not be known until Saturday September the 19th at weigh in. "Add Ons" will not be available through the auction site but can still be added to kids by contacting the fair office directly. Payment can be made my cash, check card(2.5% convenience fee) or money order.
