TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASING A FIREARM:
Terms and Conditions: All persons bidding in electronic format are responsible for reading, understanding and complying with the terms of sale as specified herein and agree to be bound thereby. Upon registering or making a bid to the auctioneer buyers agree and accept the following terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, do not bid.
REGISTRATION: Internet bidders must be registered buyers with HiBid. Each registered bidder is solely responsible for the use of his/her bidder number and any use by another person is presumed to be with the consent of and contractually binding on the registered bidder. The bidder warrants that he/she is not under the age of 18.
BUYERS PREMIUM: Every lot sold by electronic medium is subject to a 15% buyers premium which must be paid by the buyer. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. Place a bid only if you’re serious about buying the item, If you are the successful and winning bidder you have entered into a legally binding contract to purchase the property bid from the seller. All federal, state and local regulations apply to firearms sales and transfers. Example: If you bid $100 your invoice will display $115.
BIDDING: Any auction where Internet bidding is used, UCABC shall not be held liable for electronic bids not sent, received, or executed.
COLLUSION: Practices that eliminate competition, such as collusive bidding, fictitious bidding, pooling or conspiring to make a bid by acting as a “capper”, ”booster”, or “shiller” may result in criminal penalties pursuant to the Sherman Anti Trust Act.
PAYMENT: Accepted forms of payment include Visa, MasterCard or Discover. You must have available balance on your credit card for your online purchases. A paid invoice will be sent to the e-mail address in your bidder profile. IMPORTANT: If you use multiple e-mail addresses, make note of your registered e-mail address. Only the address provided at registration is sent notifications, alerts and final invoices. All accounts must be settled at the conclusion of the auction. Immediately following the auction, your credit card on file will be charged for item or items purchased, 5% VA Sales Tax (for VA Residents only), plus the 15% Buyers Premium and $30 per firearm for the FFL transfer fee. Absolutely no Chargebacks! When you bid on any item, you are entering into a bidding contract.
Pick-up, Shipping and Handling
Packing, Shipping and insurance costs are the responsibility of the buyer. ALL SHIPPING CHARGES ARE BILLED TO YOUR CREDIT CARD BY THE DESIGNATED SHIPPER.
All Firearms requiring shipment will be shipped to your local FFL dealer. Please have your dealer fax a copy of his/her license to the applicable dealer handling transfers and shipments for this auction. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE! If the firearm is modeled 1899 and later then we MUST ship to an FFL dealer. No firearms will be shipped out of country. For Items being shipped to Alaska & Hawaii please contact designated shipper for approximate costs. TRANSFER PROCEDURES:
The following FFL Dealer will facilitate transfers and shipment for this auction:

Buyers of guns have 7 business days to contact Bob’s, and arrange for transfer, pick up or shipment of any gun. All FFL’s should be faxed to Dashiell’s. The fax should reference this auction and contain the Phone No. of the FFL, the Lot No. purchased, and your Bidder’s No./Paddle. Please follow-up with a legible FFL to UCABC: P.O. Box 1816; Suffolk, VA 23439.
Shipping Fees for all Guns will be charged by Bob’s Gun Shop.
All Antique Fireams (1898 and before) and Non-Firearms such as militaria and ammunition must be removed at the scheduled pick-up Shipment, if necessary, must be arranged with Bob’s Gun Shop.
UCABC is not responsible for the acts or omissions in packing or shipping of purchased lots or of other carriers or packers of purchased lots, whether or not recommended by us. Packing and handling of purchased lots is at the entire cost and risk of the purchaser. If an item is not available for pickup, the buyer must, notify our customer service team within 24 hours of the pickup date. After 24 hours, the buyer agrees that no adjustment or refund will be made. UCABC and the Seller's liability is limited to the bid price, applicable buyer’s premium and sales tax for an item.
REMOVAL OF ITEMS All property must be removed from the premises by the purchaser at his expense in the timely manner previously set forth. If any applicable conditions herein are not complied with by the purchaser in addition to other remedies available to us and the Seller by law, including with limitation the right to a) hold the purchaser liable for the total purchase price, we at our option may either cancel the sale, retaining as liquidated damages all payments made by the purchaser of b) resell the property at public auction, and the purchaser shall be liable for any deficiency costs, including handling charges, the expenses of both sales, or commission on both sales at option. Payment will not be deemed to have been made in full until we have collected funds
Specific times, dates, and locations are detailed in the “Pick-up, Shipping, and Handling” section of each event. Our clients require very specific, narrow timeframes for removal. With rare exception, the removal dates and times are fixed; we cannot provide either early or late pickup. Buyers must bring personal and moving equipment such as dollies, hand carts, pads and tools necessary to disassemble and safely remove items from the auction site. Buyers who are unfamiliar with the requirements of moving or disassembling items should arrange for professional assistance.
PROPERTY LIABILITY It is the buyer’s responsibility to remove merchandise purchased without damage to property. Any damage will be corrected to the satisfaction of the property owner by the buyer.
