Oakridge Auction Gallery presents our July 2021 auction of Antiques, Collectibles, Coins, & Jewelry. Our sale will take place on July 24th, 2021, at 10am Eastern Time (EDT). The auction features 320 lots including antiques, a coin collection from a local estate, fine jewelry, musical instruments and related memorabilia, fine and decorative arts, and more. The sale is headlined by a new-to-the-market 1932/33 season American League baseball signed by both Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. The ball was found in a local estate, and it comes with a recent LOA from James Spence. Other autographed lots in this sale include an Arnold Palmer signed pin flag, a Gregory ‘Pappy’ Boyington signed lithograph, and various photographs signed by movie stars including Kevin Costner and Michael J. Fox. The sale features a sizable selection of historical and collectible coins and medallions, including nearly 100 lots of American and special issue international coins from 1782 to 2018, all from a local collection. Other coin highlights are: a 1783 Washington Double Head Military 1C MS62, a 1924 St. Gaudens gold double eagle, graded American eagles with proof examples, sealed proof sets, silver rounds, Marvel Comics special issues, Chinese silver Pandas, special edition American gold coins, large cents, and many, many more. We are showcasing a number of musical instruments and music memorabilia including: a signed Woodstock poster with unused original tickets, Woodstock performer signed photos, a Led Zeppelin I lithograph 87/200 signed by George Hardie. Instruments include 1945 Gretsch Syncromatic and Epiphone EA-255 Casino guitars as well as several violins and bows, such as a Francis Nicholas Voirin bow and a ca. 1900 Mittenwald copy of a Nicholas Amati violin. Of our furniture and fine and decorative arts, our highlights include: a fine and rare New Orleans bench made breakfront by Ruppert Kohlmaier Sr. (1905-2002), antique Kuba rugs, and several fine porcelain dinner sets from Rosenthal, Minton, Dresden, Wedgwood, etc. This section also includes ceramics including folk art face jugs; an assortment of lithographs, etchings, and oil paintings; and a small selection of Asian art. As usual, the sale includes a fine assortment of sterling silver and jewelry, much of which comes from a local estate. This section includes flatware from Towle, Alvin, and Reed & Barton, as well as other silver from makers like Dominick & Haff, Gorham, Redlich etc. Timepieces include a rare 1942 Doxa Antimagnatique chronograph, a Longines Master Collection Chronograph, and 14K & 18K gold watches. Lastly we have a beautiful array of estate jewelry including a spectacular 14K white gold and 9 ctw. diamond bracelet, several pairs of 18K gold earrings, and gold and platinum rings with diamonds and other gems.
