Join us in celebrating the artistic legacy of Gary and Rita Manson, two nationally recognized and award-winning Gatlinburg artists. Rita’s paintings showcase her mastery of Sumi-E, the traditional oriental brush stroke technique on rice paper. Gary began his career in commercial art, creating storyboards for advertising and TV commercials, before transitioning to fine art. His innovative techniques included soaking canvases in the creek behind their home to achieve unique effects in his watercolor and other painting styles.
Both Gary and Rita were beloved figures in the Gatlinburg and Knoxville art communities and the Dogwood Arts Community. Their work reflects a deep love for the Smoky Mountains and beaches they visited, evident in their scenic landscapes, floral designs, portraits, and wildlife art.
NOTICE: Due to an abuse of us transporting items to our shipper, if you pick up your items at the shipper instead of having them shipped, you will be assessed a surcharge. This will vary depending on the items transported. Minimal fee will be $10. Factors in fee will be distance from estate and size or quantity of items taken.
