Condition- Mirror frame has two small age separation. Upper left of mirror is missing some small pieces between a griffin and a bird, the bird is missing the tip of its tail. This mirror is carved to the point that the missing parts do not show too much. See photos.

Circa 1880 Hand Carved Dragon Mirror Attributed to Gabriel Viardot (1830-1906), Paris, France. Oval beveled edge mirror intertwined in a carved dragon's tail and claws. The carved wood work is in the original varnish. Measures approx. 25 1/2" high X 26 3/4" wide. Dragon's head projects approx. 6 1/2". Condition- Good condition. The tip of the dragon's right wing has an old 1" long repair. The original mirror has some minor silver loss at edge. See photos.

(1) French Legion of Honour Medal. Condition - Various conditions, most are in good condition. The French Medal of Honour has some enamel losses front and reverse.

1912 Draper & Maynard Baseball Trophy. The Draper and Maynard Company was formed in Plymouth, New Hampshire in 1875. A very innovative company for the era, is known for introducing the padded baseball glove. The company sold all manner of sporting goods and is known for producing some of the finest baseball trophies of the period. This silver plate and copper trophy has three dimensional baseball, bat and catcher's mitt at base and stem. A decorative silver shield with pointing dog is inscribed "D & M, Champions 1912, Commercial League and monogram". The trophy is signed Pairpoint MF'G. Co., marked with their trademark and numbered 833341/2". Pairpoint manufactured fine silver plate, lamps and glassware. The trophy measures 9" High X 4 3/8" dia. at the base X 6" dia. at the top not including handles. Measures 9 1/4" wide at the handles. Condition - The copper bowl is in good condition with some oxidation in bottom of bowl. Some wear to silver plate. Overall very good condition. See Photos.

The collection was assembled by Carrington Jones of Holly Springs, Mississippi until 1905. Case measures 29 1/2" X 15 1/2" X 3 1/2" High. The lot includes an ostrich egg on a contemporary brass dolphin stand. Measures 10 1/4" High on stand and the stand measures 5 5/8" Dia. at base. Condition - Most of the eggs are in good condition. Rare Circa 1910 Alabama Ella Smith Oil Painted Doll. The doll measures 20" Long. Ella Gauntt Smith (1868 - 1932) of Roanoke, Alabama. Mrs Smith became a doll inventor by accident in 1897 when her neighbor brought her a broken porcelain doll and asked if she could fix it. Mrs Ella was a very unusual lady that made dolls while wearing large hats with a hymn singing parrot sitting on her shoulder. Her struggles and accomplishments in a male dominated world would make quite a movie. He first doll patent in 1901 was in her husbands name because women could not be issued patents at the time. Mrs Smith entered her dolls in a competition at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis and won a blue ribbon. Condition - Overall very god condition. Does not show signs of restoration. Some very stable painted surface with some cracks. Costume looks to be of the period or good reproduction of the period. See Photos.

Herter's Hand Carved Balsa Wood Great Horned Owl Decoy 20 1/4" High. The beak is a real inserted bear claw, manufactured by Herter's Manufacturing Inc., Waseca, Minnesota, Circa 1940. Condition - The original painted finish has wear and a few cracks. One of the taxidermy eyes has some cracks and the other has a painted replacement. Some loss to wood in tail section. (1) Antique Dupont gunpowder tin with the original label dated 1924. Measures 6" High. (1) 1950's Rodeo Traveler canvas water bag, measures approximately 12" X 12". Condition - Canteen and shell box have aging and some wear. The tin has one small paint chip missing from the back and a small paper edge loss from label.

Oak Poker Chip Case with Removable Chip and Card Holder Caddy. The quarter sawn or tiger oak case Circa 1900 measures 7 1/4" High X 13" Wide X 9 1/2" Deep. The caddy revolves on a round base and has a nickel plated handle, measures 5 1/2" High X 10 3/4" Long X 7 1/8" Wide. The caddy has approximately 300 clay poker chips in various colors 1 1/2" Dia. This lot comes with and antique wooden cigar box filled with poker chips, most are paper or plastic. The box measures 4 1/4" H. X 9" Long X 5 3/4" Deep. Condition - The oak and revolving wooden caddy are in good condition. Chips in caddy are in good condition. The cigar box has wear, warped top lid, stains Etc. Chips in the cigar box are in various conditions.

Three Walking Sticks, Folk Twist with Snake, Lion and Silver Plate. (1) Alabama folk art early 20th century natural wood twist cane with rattlesnake, lizard, playing card symbols and arrow, 37 1/4" Long. (1) Cane with a recumbent lion, 34 1/2" Long. (1) Silver plate knob walking stick 39" Long. Condition - The folk art cane is in good condition. Silver plate knob walking stick has some plate loss. The lion cane is missing one small glass eye, and has a crack in the small end by the tip.

Lowndes H. Davis (1836 - 1920), Huntsville, AL. Walking Stick. The stick has an engraved silver cap and band. The cap reads "Wood from the door of Morro Castle, Santiago, Cuba. Steel from a fragment of shell shot from U.S Battle Ship". The silver band is engraved " Lowndes H. Davis, Huntsville Alabama". Lowndes Henry Davis was an American politician who served the State of Missouri in The U.U. House of Representatives from 1879 - 1885. Davis was an attorney, Yale graduate, member of The Skull and Bones and a staunch Unionist during the Civil War. In his later life he farmed in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Davis is buried in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville, Alabama. Measures 35" long. Condition - This stick is in overall very good condition with one small dent in the top and a dents and small holes in the silver band, in the word Alabama.

Late 19th Century Oak Pool Cue Rack. Unusual quarter sawn oak pool cue rack with Eastlake decorated spring loaded cast iron holders for eight sticks and two cast iron trays in base for the cue butts. This piece was probably manufactured by Brunswick Balke Collender or similar manufacture from the same era. The rack would work for walking sticks, fishing rods etc. Measures 23 1/8" W. X 38 1/8" H. X 4 7/8" Deep. Condition - Good original condition with some stains to finish. Two of the cue keepers need new springs, one keeper needs a washer replaced.

Condition - Leather cover has wear, cracks and losses. Toning, some foxing and date translation inscriptions from roman in pencil. Book looks complete and in intact with weak boards and spine. The History of England 1806 will require extensive restoration. The spine, front board and considerable amount of pages are loose. Part of the damage includes heavy foxing, heavy toning, loose pages, some water stains Etc. See Photos.

American Classical Mahogany Day Bed with Acanthus Carved Post C. 1835. Bed has Brass claw feet, lion mask bolt covers and end cap rosettes. Bed measures 38" H. X 80" W. X 32" D. Condition - Bed is in overall good condition. Upholstery has wear and is soiled. The hanging or skirt was attached to the rails with Velcro, had damage and was discarded. The mattress is included. Henredon Charles X Style Marble Top Dresser. The burl elm chest has a marble top is marked "Made in Italy". The top drawer has interior designer label of "Rust & Martin". Measures 34 3/4" High X 44" Wide X 19" Deep. Condition - This dresser is in good condition. See Photos.

Maitland Smith Patinated Bronze Elephant on Stand. The one piece elephant and stand measure 21" High X 21 1/2" Long X 13 1/2" Wide. Condition - Good condition.

Classical Mahogany Game Table Circa 1820. The table has four curved legs with finely carved rollover spirals at the top. This table has very unusual cast brass grape and leaf casters. These casters are similar to some casters used by Isaac Vose (Boston, MA). The folding top has a very unusual raised inlaid band molding. The table skirt is crotch mahogany. Table measures 28 1/2" high x 36" x 35". Condition - Table top is in good condition. Parts of the band or skirt and pedestal support have some minor veneer loss.

American Classical Carved Mahogany Marble Top Pier Table, Circa 1820, Attributed to Anthony G. Quervelle. Bronze mounted turned mahogany columns, reeded half columns flanking the original plate glass mirror with gold stencil trim, carved claw feet and gadrooned edge trim. A label on back identifies this piece as Quervelle and references the magazine "Antiques", May - 1973, page 991 - figure 10. (See Photo). Very nice piece in almost original condition. Measures 40" High X 42 1/4" Wide X 18 3/4" Deep. Condition - Good condition. The mirror has considerable silver discoloration and some loss. Bronze post mounts are missing most of the gold gilt. Victorian Mahogany Center Table w/ Rams Heads Circa 1890. Carved Ram's head legs with hoof feet, leaf carved top band. The table measures 29 3/4" High X 35 1/4" Dia. Condition - Overall good condition with some minor wear and one chip to the underside of the top edge.

Berkey and Gay Empire Revival Drop-Front Mahogany Desk Circa 1900. Signed in drawer with the iconic Berkey and Gay gold medallion. The flamed mahogany desk has acanthus carved columns, claw feet, glass knobs and fitted interior with two drawers and two compartments with doors. Measures 43 3/4" High X 48 3/4" Wide X 23" Deep. Signed R. J. Horner Acanthus Carved Poster Bed, Late 19th Century. Beautiful carved mahogany with a finish that looks to be original. Headboard and footboard panels are select flame mahogany. This is Horner's finest example of an acanthus carved poster bed. This bed is profusely carved and much more elaborate than other models, even the rails are carved on this model. Bed is labeled by R. J. Horner on the headboard. Measures 90" high X 85 1/2" long X 62" wide. Bed takes a full sized mattress. Condition- Fine, original condition with some minor wear/scratches, mostly to top of rails. American Empire Flame Mahogany Chest, Circa 1830. Chest has seven drawers, acanthus carved posts, scalloped backsplash with mirrors, and clawed feet. Drawers are dovetailed and have chamfered bottoms. Measures 62 1/4" high X 50 7/8" wide X 26 1/2" deep. Condition- Very good condition with some minor veneer chips. See photos.

Circa 1830 American Carved Empire Vanity with Mirror. Claw feet, acanthus carved stretcher, flamed mahogany post and drawer fronts. The top and bottom of case have a gadrooned edge. The drawers have chamfered bottoms. Adjustable mirror above eight drawers with period glass pulls. Measures 63" High X 43 3/4" Wide X 22" Deep. Condition - This piece is very good condition with an older repair to the lower drawer key escutcheon.

Empire Mahogany Nightstand Circa 1840. Nightstand has glass pulls, claw feet, columns, four bow front drawers, and one curved top drawer. Measures 33" high X 20 1/4" wide X 16 5/8" deep. Condition- Very good condition. Old refinish. Four brass keyhole covers are replacements. See photos.

Rosewood Etagere Attributed To Daniel Pabst Circa 1850. This piece is featured on page 144 of Richard and Eileen Dubrow's landmark book, "American Furniture of The 19th Century 1840-1880." A beautiful etagere in the rococo revival style with serpentine front base, high relief bonnet carvings including heavy pierced carved crown with flowers, fruit, scrolls and large turned finials. Upper portion has a mirrored back divided into three sections with turned pilasters, six shelves with spindles and serpent supports. The base is decorated with carved classical flower urns, shell and flower carvings. This piece is in two parts. Measures 108 3/4" High X 59 1/4" Wide X 21 1/2" Deep. J. & J. W. Meeks "Hawkins" Rosewood Five Piece Parlor Suite, Circa 1850. This laminated Rosewood suite includes elaborately pierced carved sofa, armchair, and three side chairs. Center crest is carved with fruit and shell. Suite has serpentine carved backs with grape leaf and clusters pattern. (1) Sofa: 49 1/2" high X 66" wide X 39" deep. (1) Armchair: 47 1/2" high X 27 1/2" wide X 34 1/2" deep. (3) Side chairs: 42 1/2" high X 19" wide X 25" deep. From the personal collection of Steve Wirth, Port Angeles, Washington. 19th Century Rocco Mahogany Carved Morris Chair with Figural Putti. Scroll carved arms are supported by two naked three dimensional carved putti above heavy scroll feet. Back crest is carved with cupid mask, shell, and scroll decoration. This chair is covered in a green velvet upholstery and has a four position reclining adjustment. Pair of 19th Century Wing Griffon Marble Top Pedestals with Dark Mahogany Finish. Measures 42" high X 14" wide X approximately 18 1/2" deep. The marble tops are modern replacements. Carved Mahogany Library Desk with Lion Supports Attributed to R. J. Horner. Wonderful desk with standing lions holding heraldic crest supported by a heavy stretcher on bun feet. Top of desk has a band of foliate and flora carving with griffins. Desk has center drawer with goddess mask pull. Case of desk perimeter is gadrooned carved in its entirety. Measures 54 1/4" long X 31 3/4" wide X 28 1/2" high. Lions stand 19 1/2" high X 9" deep. Comes with glass top that covers a portion of top. Condition- Very fine condition with a little wear to the goddess' face. See photos.

Scarce 1959 Gibson EB-2 Natural Bass with The Original Case. The interior label is marked EB-2, Serial # A29558. This curly maple with natural finish guitar is equipped with the "Vari-tone" pushbutton switch, volume and tone controls. The guitar has a curly maple arch top and back, mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod construction. The fingerboard is rosewood with mother pearl dot inlays. This guitar has an Alnico magnetic pickup, 30 1/2" scale and 20 frets. Measures 16" Wide X 19" Long X 1 3/4" Deep. The instrument comes with the original Gibson #538 Faultless plush-lined guitar case and the original unmarked case cover. This lot includes the original Gibson GA 90 amplifier purchased with the guitar and cover. Condition - (1) Guitar is in the original state as received from the estate and has not been cleaned, polished or altered in any way. The top is in very good condition with very minor wear, frets have some light oxidation. the tailpiece has some small areas of plate loss. The back of guitar and neck have some wear and scratches. The neck has an area of finish wear 3/4" wide (probably from a strap). The tuning knobs have some oxidation. The amp has not been tested or connected to a receptacle. Amp condition is unknown and sells "As Is". Amp faux leather surface has wear, some tears and is loose in some areas. The casters are missing and the case faux leather surface has some wear, soiling, and losses. The "0" on the 90 model insignia is missing. The lower amp electronics have some rust. The amp comes with the original canvas cover in poor condition with holes. (1) Exterior and interior of guitar case have some soling, wear, blemishes and discoloration. Latches have some finish loss and rust. The case cover has come small holes and wear. See photos.

Circa 1920 Old Town Canoe, 18 Feet. A wonderful restored red canoe with the original nameplate painted label. The canoe has two press cane seats and one mahogany lee board, 43 3/4" long. The center width of the canoe is 36" wide. Condition- Very good restored condition. Only missing one small strip from floor. See photos.

Early 19th Century Mahogany Telescope Tripod Stand. The stand will adjust to a height of possibly 70" high. When the telescope is lower it is approximately 43" high. This telescope has a two section turned telescoping pedestal with three scroll legs. It has a two board troth at top with leather straps to hold telescope. Included with the stand, is a brass telescope of unknown origin, approximately 36" long. The telescope is not original to the stand. We believe it is much newer. Property of a prominent Memphis, Tennessee family. Condition- Stand is in the original varnish. It has a crack in the top of the pedestal that extends down approx. 6 1/2". Originally, this stand had a threaded wood screw that was inserted through the ball at the top and when tightened, it would hold the telescoping shaft in different positions. The hole remains but the screw is missing. The leather straps are not original. See photos.

19th Century Whaleman's Whale Bone Spiral Carved Cane. This cane has a graduating knob at top, spiral carved lower section, herringbone center section, and diamond carved upper section. Measures 39" long and approximately 1 1/4" at cap of stick. Property of a prominent Memphis, Tennessee family. Condition- Cane has small crack at top section and some small hairline cracks in lower section. See photos.

17th Century Carved Sailing Ship's Decoration with Dolphins. The hand carved decoration features two stylized dolphins holding a center plaque (probably originally had a coat of arms). Attached to the dolphin tails are two gilt rosettes, approximately 4 1/2" diameter. The dolphins retain , a considerable amount of their original paint and gold gilt surface. Measures 60" long X approximately 10 1/2" high. Property of a prominent Memphis, Tennessee family. Condition- For its age, this piece is in amazing condition and looks to be original and unrestored. The decoration is in one piece, but does have losses from the upper portion of one dolphin's mouth. Lower part of plaque has a chip missing. A section of one dolphin's tail, approx. 1 1/2" X 1 1/2", is missing. Weathered surface with paint loss. See photos.

Rare Nantucket Lightship Lollipop Basket, Late 19th Century. This is an oval formed basket woven on staves pinned to an oval mahogany base and with two mahogany top bands pinned to each stave. Basket has a swing handle held in place with metal caps that measure approximately 9/16" diameter. The interior handle caps measure approximately 1/2" diameter. The upper portion of basket has lollipop cutouts between the staves below the top band. This wonderful museum quality basket retains the majority of the original varnish. It is quite possibly one of the best examples of this basket to surface in recent years. The basket measures 6" high X 11 1/2" long X 10 5/8" wide. Provenance: Margaret Fraser, living estate, Memphis, Tennessee family. Condition- This basket retains about as much original finish as can be found on this type of basket. Very fine condition and we have noted any minor imperfection below. The cane weave in this basket has only one very small fragment missing, approximately 5/16" long X 1/16" wide. The lower mahogany band is in original condition with no cracks. The upper mahogany band does not exhibits any cracks on exterior of basket. The upper portion interior of the top band has a small crack from the last pin, 1/2" long and a small hairline crack, approximately 2" long, from the handle caps. The basket is missing one lollipop above top band. See photos.

1825 Pennsylvania Watercolor Fraktur with Heart. This fraktur is decorated with tulips, birds, flowers, and a heart. Lightly inscribed at the top by the artist and dated in the lower section of the heart, "1825." Fraktur is in a period gold and silver leaf frame under glass with wood backing. Back is partially retained with small original square nails. Visible image measures 8 5/8" X 10". Frame measures overall 11 3/4" X 13". Condition- Fraktur has some paint loss, creases from folding, stains, very small holes from creases, etc. Frame has some gilt loss and discoloration. See photos.

Two Nathan Bedford Forrest CDV Photographs. (1) Rare early CDV of Nathan Bedford Forrest. This photograph was purchased directly from the Forrest family in Memphis, Tennessee. Verso of photograph is inscribed in ink, "Nathan B. Forrest," with some much later notations in pencil. This photograph was property of the Estate of Dr. Ronald Terhune, Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Terhune stated to family that this photograph came from the Forrest family. Measures: 2 3/8" X 4". (1) Forrest CDV of the Lieut. General in uniform. CDV is inscribed Genl. N.B. Forrest C.S.A. on verso. Verso imprint: "E & HT Anthony, New York, New York." The photo measures 2 3/8" X 4". Condition- The early CDV has toning, some corner losses and stains to verso. Exceptional Mid 19th Century Mitchell Rammelsberg Three Piece, Flamed Mahogany Bedroom Suite. The bed has a very unusual heavily curved gallery crest. Head and footboards have beautiful flamed mahogany recessed panels. Post are capped with urn style heavy beadwork trimmed finials 17 1/2" High X 7" Dia. Rails are flamed mahogany with openwork brackets. Headboard measures 108 1/2" High X bed measures 68" Wide X 83 1/2" Long. This bed uses a full size mattress and the opening measures approximately 59" X 76".. The dresser mirror has a heavy carved crest, pierced carving and four candle shelves. The dresser base has a white marble top with front biscuit corners four drawers with carved keyhole escutcheons and pulls. The dresser measures 109 1/4" High X 51" Wide X 23 1/2" Deep. The washstand has a white marble top with splash back, front biscuit corners and three drawers with carved keyhole escutcheons and pulls. The washstand measures 39 3/4" High X 35" Wide X 19 1/2" Deep". Condition - Overall good condition with some old repairs and expected wear for the age. Some discoloration to the marble. See Photos.

Mario Buatta For John Widdicomb Mahogany Breakfront Cabinet. This contemporary Chippendale style breakfront has broken arch and pediment pierced crown, three glass doors with lattice work trim, touch control lighting, eight adjustable glass shelves, and lower portion has three doors with inlaid banded mahogany. Measures 93" high X 73" wide X 19 3/8" deep. Condition- Good condition. See photos.

Monumental Set of (12) "Man of The Mountain" Style Mahogany Dinning Chairs, In The Manner of R.J. Horner. Upper crest of the chairs are carved with foliage, flowers, acanthus leaves and acanthus carved spindle handle. Just below the back cushion are two pierced winged griffins. The carved Mountain Man figures on this set are very similar to R. J. Horner's "Man of The Mountain." We were not able to confirm this set to be Horner. Chairs are covered in a light-blue cut velvet upholstery. This upholstery has fading, soiling, etc. and will need to be replaced. (2) Armchairs: 44 1/4" high X 26" wide X 28" deep. (10) Side chairs: 46 1/2" high X 20" wide X 22 1/4" deep. Condition - Four of the claw feet have been repaired with high strength epoxy. Chairs have old finish with some wear and losses. Upholstery has fading, soiling, etc. and will need to be replaced. See photos.

Her father Samuel was a Civil War veteran, who was 72 years old when Theora was born. Hamblett painted from an early age, but in 1955 became serious about painting. One of her early works "The Vision" was exhibited in New York at The Museum of Modern art in 1955. Provenance; Dr Larry Ray, Professor of Art Lambuth University, Jackson Tennessee. Dr. Ray hosted a February 1968 exhibit of Theora's works at Lambuth and purchased this painting from her. The exhibit is listed on page 13 of "Theora Hamblett Paintings" University of Mississippi Press 1975. Hamblett's paintings have been part of some of the most prominent collections in the world including The Nelson Rockefeller Collection, Sir Alex Guiness, Chase Manhattan Bank, United States Embassies, Betty Parsons Gallery, Lee and Pup McCarty and others. Theora Hamblett (1895-1977) "Three Marys" #2 1968 Oil On Canvas Painting. This painting is one of Theora's "Dreams and Visions" paintings. The meaning behind the painting is mentioned on pg. 40 of her book, "Dreams and Visions," published 1975 in collaboration with Edwin E. Meek. A photograph of a very similar painting titled, "Three Madonnas No. 20," is on page 41. Included with this painting is Dr. Larry Ray's personal copy of "Dreams and Visions." This painting came about as a result of a vision Hamblett had where she saw clouds flying around two faces and a center image that was revealed when the clouds withdrew. Theora was said to have never sold a painting until she fully understood the message God was conveying to her through the painting. Painting with frame measures 19" X 25". Contemporary gold leaf frame: 21 1/2" X 28 1/2". Condition- The painting surface is stable with some craquelure. Painting has a new stretcher and several areas of restoration. See photos.

Philippe Auge (1935) Art Deco Lady Oil On Canvas Painting. This lady is wearing a dress with flowing sleeves and a gold deco headdress. Signed by the artist in lower left. 20th Century Copy Rembrandt "The Sampling Officials" Oil On Canvas Painting. This is a copy of Rembrandt's painting of, "The Sampling Officials" executed in 1662. The original of this painting is in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Visible image: approximately 30" X 47 1/2". Early 20th Century gold leaf frame: 41" X 59". Condition- Painting is in overall good condition. Frame has wear and loss to gesso. See photos.

Rare Success Gone With The Wind Slag Glass Melon Form Lamp. The shade and base of this lamp are a beautiful custard and caramel slag glass. Base is marked, "#1123." Burner knob is marked, "Success." This is a very rare lamp and the only example we have sold. Measures 23 1/2" high X 10" diameter shade. Base measures 7 1/2" diameter at top. This lamp is all original and never converted to electricity. Condition- The lamp base is in good condition. The base of the shade has two small chips and a very faint, small crack at base, approx. 3/4" to 1" long. This crack is only visible with a very intense light. Brass burner tank has some cracks. 19th Century Rosewood Jewelry Box On Stand. The jewelry box has a tufted and fitted interior with compartments and boxes. Tray removes for storage below. Interior liner has been refurbished. Box is circa 1850. The stand is 20th Century addition made of mahogany. Removable box measures 6" high X 11 3/4" long X 8 1/2" deep. Base measures 15 1/4" high X 12 5/8" wide X 9 1/2" deep. Overall: 21" high. Condition- Good condition with the exception of a few age cracks on lid. See photos.

19th Century Wood Santo Saint Francis of Assisi. This is a New World Spanish colonial 19th Century carved wood and painted gesso figure .This Santo depicts Francis of Assisi, founder of the Order of Franciscans. His girdle is distinguished by knots representing: poverty, chastity, and obedience. Measures 33" high X 12" wide X 10" deep. Condition- Overall good condition with some gesso loss, paint loss, insect holes, and three broken and reattached fingers. See photos.

Reuge Swiss Music Box with Glass and Dolphin Legs. This is a two comb box with serial #00273. The base of the music box is rosewood. Measures 13 3/4" long X 6 1/4" wide X 3 1/4" high. Condition- Good condition. The music box played beautifully at time of inventory. See photos.

Black Forest Prie-Dieu Prayer Chair with Cross, Circa 1870. Back of chair is carved with two trees, fruit, and cross. Base of chair is carved with fruit. Chair is covered in a tapestry style upholstery. Measures 33 1/2" high X 22 1/2" wide X 19" deep. Condition- Back of chair has old repair from age crack separation and needs other age crack repairs. 19th Century Gothic Oak Standing Crucifix, Raffl Paris. The wood and gesso crucifix is marked, "Raffl Paris," and, "Marchi Naresl(???)." The crucifix comes with a wooden base and metal back plate for stabilization. Measures approximately 85 1/4" high X 53" wide X 10" deep. Crucifix measures approximately 71 1/4" high without base. It is hard to date this item, our best guess is around 1870. Condition- The Christ figure is missing four fingers and two thumbs. The gesso has cracks at both shoulders and other hairline cracks throughout. Overall, the Christ figure is stable. the wooden cross is missing two corner bracket decorations on the right hand side of cross. Wood has the original varnish and the balance of this piece is in good condition. See photos.

19th Century Processional Crucifix 8' 6" High. Crucifix is nickel plated and the Christ figure is gold gilt. Measures 102" high X 15 1/2" wide. Condition- Good condition with wear to nickel plate and gold gilt. See photos.

Sherry Salari Sander (1941) Gorilla Bronze 23/35 with Marble Base. The gorilla is signed, "Sander, 94', 23/35." Measures 12 1/4" high X 9 5/8" long X 6 1/2" wide. Condition- Bronze is in good condition. Marble has a hairline crack at the front edge just below the gorilla's arm. See photos.

Gary Lee Price (1955) "Mates" Cockatoos Bronze 13/30. The bronze is marked, "Price '90 13/30." Measures 23" high X 12" wide X 12" deep. Black plate glass base measures 8" X 10". Condition- Bronze and base are in good condition. See photos.

Rare Victorian River Landscape On White Carrara Marble with Deer, Circa 1850. We were unable to determine if this piece was a print or an inked original landscape on marble. Regardless of the medium, this is a piece you do not see. The walnut Victorian Renaissance frame measures 32 1/2" diameter X 3" deep. The landscape is 20" diameter and measures 22 3/4" diameter with full margin. This is a very heavy piece. Condition- Good condition. Frame needs gesso and paint restoration.

Circa 1895 Figural Classical Maiden Newel Post Light. The five light zinc with bronze patina statue features a classically draped Grecian lady holding garland with five lights. Measures approximately 57 5/8" high X 39" wide X 20" deep. Base measures 16 1/4" diameter. Condition- Lights work. Statue has some wear to patina. Back leg is broken at ankle and needs repair. The piece stands very sturdy. Buyer will need to be careful when moving this piece. The thumb and index finger on her right hand have been reattached with high strength epoxy or glue. See photos.

John McIntire (1935) "The Embrace" White Carrara Marble Sculpture On Green Marble Base. John was a longtime sculpture professor at The Memphis College of Art. Sculpture measures 21" high X 17 1/4" wide X 8" deep. Base measures 8" X 9 5/8" X 1 7/8" high. Measures 22 7/8" high overall. Weighs: 145.5 lbs. Condition- Sculpture is in good condition. John McIntire (1935) "Enis" Bronze Sculpture On Green Marble Base. This bronze was produced in a very limited edition of 9 and this is number 1/9. John was a longtime sculpture professor at The Memphis College of Art. The owner thought this sculpture looked like Elvis and titled it "Elvis Pelvis." Sculpture and base measure 15" high X 5 1/2" wide X 4" deep. Base measures 3" High X 3 5/8" X 4" Deep. Condition - Good condition.

Two Ancient Buddah Head Stone Statues. The sculptures are of an unknown age. Measure 9 1/2" and 10" High X Approx. 6 1/2" Dia. each. Condition - (1) Statue has a hairline crack in the bottom. (1) Statue is missing a chip from above the left ear and part of the side of it head, the statue has other small chips. See Photos.

Pair of Chinese Door Guardians Handpainted Woodblock Prints. These are woodblock outline prints, handpainted and printed on a thin tissue like paper. The guardians, Shen Tu and Yu Lei, were hung on doors as a New Year's tradition, serving as protection against evil spirits and demons. These were purchased May 2001 from Bermondsey Antique Market, London, England, from a collection of Chinese folk Woodblocks. The Englishmen who originally collected them in China (soldier in Opium Wars? Boxer Rebellion? Missionary?). With pencil and ink inscriptions in lower left describing their purpose and then signed lower right. Wood blocks are professionally framed. Visible images measures: 13 3/8" X 19 3/8". Frames: 22 3/8" X 28 3/8". Condition- Woodblocks are in overall good condition with some toning. One guardian has foxing. See photos.

Three Japanese Woodblock Prints. (1) Utamaro Kitagawa "The Oiran Yoso-oi Seated at Her Toilet" woodblock print. (1) Utamaro Kitagawa "Sanbaso" from the series "Array of Dancing Girls of the Present Day" woodblock print. (1) Toyokuni Utagawa "Three Geishas" woodblock print. All three prints measure the same. Visible image: approximately 10" X 14". Frame: 16 3/4" X 20 7/8". The frames are a very appropriate faux bamboo gold leaf. Condition- Frames and prints are in good condition. The matting has some toning. See photos.

Antique Chinese Silk Embroidered Collar. This early 20th Century collar is framed in a very appropriate Chinese style ebonized and gold leaf frame. The frame measures 25" X 25 1/4". Condition- Collar is in good condition with some minor wear and discoloration. See photos.

19th Century Chinese Colophon In Running Script On Silk and Watercolor River Scene. (1) The colophon painted calligraphy normally describes an accompanying piece of art. This piece does not describe the watercolor scene in this lot. Colophon measures 9 1/4" X 10". Silk mounting mat, 12 7/8" X 19 7/8". (1) Watercolor scene depicts a river scene with house and calligraphy description. Painting has a wax seal on verso. Painting measures 10 5/8" X 12 1/2". Silk mat measures 14 1/2" X 19". Condition- The watercolor has a crease in center and some minor discoloration. The silk matting has some discoloration. The colophon is in overall good condition with some toning. The mat has some toning and light rose colored specks. See photos.

19th Century Multi-Generational Ancestor Portrait Color Wash and Ink On Paper. Depicts three females and three males. Framed in a large Chinese style black ebonized frame with gold leaf corners. Measures 39" X 65 1/2". Condition- Overall good condition with some toning, wrinkles, staining, and discoloration. See photos.

19th Century Chinese Ancestor Portrait Color Wash and Ink On Paper. Framed in a large black faux bamboo style frame, 40" wide X 65 1/2". Condition- This portrait has a large repair with additional paper added to repair a loss, which extends from the right arm to the top of the frame, across the top, including the images hat, and extending down to left shoulder. Part of this area includes parts of the image, including the hat. These have been in painted to complete the portrait. See photos. Portrait has some toning. Frame is in good condition.

Indian Pictorial Rug with Musicians and Animals, 19th Century. Rug depicts a forest and river scene with musicians, animals, and man holding snake. This rug is made with, what we believe to be, silver threads or possibly other shiny metallic threads. Measures 47 3/4" X 69". Condition- Overall good condition with fading and wear. See photos.

Empire Mahogany Secretary Bookcase, Circa 1890. Bookcase with five drawers, fitted desk interior with five drawers, and two lattice work doors in upper section with two adjustable shelves. The bookcase has flamed mahogany drawer fronts, shell and foliate carved desk lid, acanthus carved post, gadrooned edges, and claw feet. Measures 74 3/8" high X 38 3/8" wide X 21 1/4" deep. Victorian Walnut Four Door Bookcase. Unusual molded and dome top with gold gilt incised Eastlake style decoration. The bookcase has 16 adjustable shelves. Measures 73 3/8" high X 71 1/2" long X 18 1/4" deep. Condition- Overall good condition. See photos.

Signed Mitchell Rammelsberg Mahogany Plantation Desk with Flamed Mahogany Lid and Drawer. Upper bookcase section has two glass doors and two shelves. The desk interior has felt writing area, drawer, and file and storage compartments. Two part desk measures 86" high X 37 3/4" wide X 23 1/4" deep. Condition- Desk is in overall good condition with some stains, wear, and wood chips. See photos.

Empire Mahogany Silver Chest, Circa 1830 with Claw Feet, Turned Columns, and Acanthus Carving. Interior of chest has three dovetail drawers. Front door panel is flame mahogany and interior of door panel is chamfered wood. Measures 16 1/4" high X 12" wide X 14 1/2" deep. Condition- Overall good condition. Door panel has minor age crack in veneer. Interior drawers are in good condition, dovetail front and back, with bottoms possibly being replaced. See photos.

Rare Child's Victorian Walnut Dresser. The dresser has three drawers, a faux folding drawer front that opens to a desk with fitted drawers and compartments. Top of dresser has two glove drawers, mirror with candle shelves, arched top with turned finial, and center rosette with monogram. Front feet of dresser has carved leaves and vine design. Back legs are turned. The drawers are marked, "Patented July 30th, 1879, H. C. Underwood Mfg. Co. Wabash, IND." Underwood actually patented this piece prior to beginning his company in 1883. The company manufactured silk cabinets, jewelers benches, and telephone wood work. In 1900, the name changed to the Wabash Cabinet Co. Inc. In 1923, the company signed a million dollar contract to manufacture phonograph cabinets for the Columbia Graphopone Company. We believe this piece to be a rare one of a kind piece, possibly a proto-type that was never mass produced. Measures 50" high X 18 1/4" wide X 10" deep. Condition- Dresser is in good condition overall. Looks to be in the original finish. A portion of vine at bottom of one front foot is missing. See photos.

Measures 29 1/2" high X 48" wide X 128" long, 80" long without the (3) 16" leaves. Condition- Overall good condition with the top having some scratches and dents. See photos.

Set of 8 Kindel Mahogany Queen Anne Style Dinning Chairs. Two armchairs and four side chairs have faux ostrich leather covers. Two side chairs have a gold netted design silk upholstery. (2) Armchairs, 39 1/2" high X 24" wide X 22" deep. (6) Side Chairs, 39 1/2" high X 21" wide X 20" deep. A sample of the faux ostrich is included. This upholstery looks to be readily available from multiple sources. Condition- Chairs are in good condition with some scratches to finish on armchairs' arms. See photos.

Mahogany Dental Cabinet w/ 22 Drawers. The cabinet was manufactured by The American Cabinet Company. The drawers have black amethyst glass knobs, one drawer has white milk glass inserts.. Upper cabinet has a mirror back, milk glass interior, lattice work plate glass doors, and Masonite top with chrome trim. Measures 63 1/2" high X 32" wide X 12 1/4" deep. Cabinet is almost completely full of dental equipment. See Photos. Condition- The cabinet is in good condition.

Rare Breitling Chronomat Evolution A13356 Watch. Dial marked "Breitling 1884 Certifie Chronometre Automatic". This Breitling A13356K9/E519 is number 244 of 300 produced and Serial # 2496822. Beautiful stainless steel pilot bracelet with flip lock clasp, unidirectional rotating (satin finished) bezel, silver registers on a special rhodium dial, automatic chronometer, 12 hour chronograph, date, small seconds at the 9 o'clock position, screw down crown and pushers. The watch measures 44 mm Wide X 51 mm High X 17 mm Thick. Lug width 22 mm. The watch comes with the original box, certification tag, serial number certificate, limited edition certificate and warranty book with serial numbers. The watch fits an approximate 7 1/4" wrist. Condition - The watch was running at inventory. The bracelet and watch have some wear and scratches. Watch has not been fully tested and is sell "As Is".

Baume and Mercier Geneva Quartz 18kt Ladies Watch. Back of watch is marked 18K, 18502, 1375687. Watch measures 18.92mm Wide not including winding stem X 27.58mm Long. The band measures 13.72mm Wide. The bracelet measures Approx. 6 1/4" in length and is marked 578 and 750. Total weight 1.44 Troy ounces or 45 grams including works. The bracelet comes with two extra lengths. The jug is impressed with the maker's Name and address; New York Stoneware Co., Fort Edward, N.Y.. Provenance Ross Williams Living Estate, Hartselle, Alabama. Measures 20 1/2" High X 11" Dia. Condition - A possible old repair approximately 1 3/8" long to the left of the company name at rim. This repair did not show under black light. Some minor glaze flake chips inside mouth. See photos.

Geddes, NY Cobalt Decorated Stoneware Four Gallon Crock. The crock is impressed Geddes, NY and freehand decorated with cobalt flowers and "Four". Measures 13 1/2" High X 11" Dia. Provenance Ross Williams Living Estate, Hartselle, Alabama. Condition - Overall good condition with one exterior rim chip. A firing flaw or chip in the cobalt of one flower.

Whites Utica One Gallon Cobalt Bird Crock. This crock is impressed Whites Utica and freehand decorated with cobalt bird. Measures 7 1/4" High X 8 1/4" Dia. Provenance Ross Williams Living Estate, Hartselle, Alabama. Condition - This crock has a repaired crack (Picture included before repair). A small chip on left handle and chip on rim.

Norton Crock & 2 Gallon Jug w/ Cobalt Decoration. (1) F.B. Norton & Sons, Worcester, Massachusetts one and one half gallon freehand cobalt flower decorated crock. 8 1/4" High X 9" Dia. (1) Two gallon unmarked stoneware jug freehand decorated with flowers. 13 1/2" High X 8 1/2" Dia. Provenance Ross Williams Living Estate, Hartselle, Alabama. Condition - The jug is in good overall condition with a glaze chip near bottom edge. See Photo. Norton crock is in good condition.

A.K. Ballard and Standish & Wright Cobalt Decorated Crocks. (1) Standish & Wright impressed four gallon freehand cobalt decorated crock with loop handles. Measures 13 High X 11 3/4" Diameter. (1) A.K. Ballard, Burlington, Vermont impressed freehand cobalt decorated four gallon crock. Measures 9 3/4" High X 11 1/2" Dia. Condition - The Ballard crock has considerable glaze chips and chip on one handle. The Standish & Wright crock has a 8" hairline crack from rim through the left edge of the decoration and some staining to glaze.

Mid 19th C. Ladies Rosewood Secretary Desk. Desk has one drawer above drop down writing area with mirror when closed. Upper portion has two mirrored door, file partitions and one shelf. Top has mirror with scroll supports and pierced crown. Base has pierced scroll supports. Measures 78 1/2" High X 32 1/2" Wide X 16" Deep. Condition - Good overall condition. Missing back door cover panels for mirrored doors and one small door piece of door molding 1/2" Long.

Victorian Renaissance Walnut Bookcase Circa 1870. The desk disassembles into three sections. This bookcase has mirrored backs and 16 adjustable shelves. The case has four drawers below the doors. Measures 76 1/2" High X 84" Wide X 19" Deep. The center section measures 42" Wide and side sections measure 21" each. Condition - Good overall condition with an old repair to small piece of molding.

This painted descended from the collection of John Francis Queeny (1859-1933) and his wife Olga Mendez Monsanto. Mr. Queeny was an American business man known for founding Monsanto Chemical Works (later Monsanto) in St. Louis, Missouri, 1901. Mr. Monsanto named the company after his wife. Parke-Bernet Galleries conducted an auction of fine paintings, including paintings from the property of Olguita Queeny Berington, St. Louis, Missouri in 1939. Stamped on verso of frame molding, "Selkirk Galleries, St. Louis, Missouri." Provenance: Lynne Fairchild Spragins Dodson estate, Jackson, Tennessee. Condition- Painting has craquelure. One small repaired area in tree, upper left. Canvas has one tear in upper right, approx. 2" long and needs to be re-stretched. Frame has heavy craquelure, some old repairs, and small piece of missing gesso in one corner. See photos.

Tang Changdong (Chinese 20th C) Fresco Watercolor Painting. Hand painted copy of a detail of a wall fresco in a cave of the Buddhist grottoes at Kizil near the Kuqa Oasis in the Taklamaken Desert in central Asia. This is the artist interpretation of its original appearance. In China copying and restoring ancient fresco art is a respected art form. Mr. Changdong is one of the recognized masters an experts of the genre. Tang Changdong authored "Magnificent Frescos from the Great Tang Dynasty (English and Mandarin Edition) , 1996. Published by Shanxi Tourism Publishing House China 1996 - 01-01. Condition - The painting and frame are in very good condition.

Sheraton Mahogany Writing Box with Tambour Top, Circa 1800. This early travel mechanical desk comes with three ink wells, when the drawer is open, the tambour top automatically opens. The lid folds down to reveal a felt writing area, which folds to show two inner drawers and area for letters, paper, etc. One inkwell has a silver plate lid. Measures 7 5/8" high X 14" wide X 10 1/4" deep. Condition- Desk is in the good original condition. The dovetail drawer has some inner stains from ink. Three brass bale handles are original. Rare 18th Century Chippendale Mahogany Door Stop. The bottom of the door stop has an attached yellow paper label that states, "This is a Chippendale door stop." The interior of base is lined with lead for weight. Beautiful turned stop with handle, 31 1/2" high X 5 3/4" diameter. Condition- Overall good condition. See photos.

Rare 18th Century Mahogany Lace Maker's Pillow Stand. This stand has chip carved notches at joint between stand and hoop, the notches are indicative of English furniture 1650 - 1750. Pillow stand is mahogany with an ash band. This piece has notched edges, which is indicative of furniture from 1650-1750. Measures 21 1/2" high X 15 3/4" wide X 11 1/4" deep. Condition- Overall good condition with some wood age cracks. Stand has old repair with wood pegs at joint between stand and hoop. See photos.

George III English Fire Bucket with Royal Coat of Arms. Measures 16 1/4" high X 11" diameter. Condition- Fire bucket has craquelure, loose/raised paint chips, considerable paint loss, and some old touch up. This piece will need extensive restoration. See photos.

17th Century Six Board English Oak Coffer. This coffer has the original black smith strap hinges, a large 6 1/2" X 7 1/4" metal lock plate, and is constructed with square nails. Front of coffer has chip carved arch decoration, and notched edges. Back of the coffer has a 1959 donor certificate. Measures 22" high X 36 1/2" long X 13" wide. Condition- Overall good condition for its age. Top board has a split across its entire length of lid. The lid has two support cleats attached to bottom. Back corner has one repaired/replaced 1" X 7 1/2" piece of wood. Coffer has other age cracks to wood. See photos.

Six Board English Oak Coffer, 17th Century. Coffer has molded edges on top and bottom of front. The edge of case and lid have a saw tooth chip decoration. Measures 18 1/2" high X 42" wide X 15" deep. Condition- Hinges will need to be replaced. Missing ditty box. There is a wood aging crack at the bottom of back. Top has a 1/2" wood chip from one corner and a crack running its full length. Coffer has other wear and wood separation. See photos.

19th Century George III Mahogany Corner Washstand. The washstand has a quarter round front with center drawer, a hole in top for wash basin, and three holes for toiletry supplies. Drawer front is inlay flame mahogany. Measures 43" high X 18" deep. Comes with a Wedgewood willow wash basin and pitcher. Condition- Overall good condition. See photos.

19th Century Henry Troemner Marble Top Scale. The scale has an incised Victorian decoration and two 8" diameter brass pans with the maker's name. Measures 7 1/2" high X 18 3/4" wide X 7 3/4" deep. Rare 19th Century W. F. Vandiver Co. Montgomery, ALA. Gunpowder Tea Box. Box has a black paper label with gold decoration and information. Marked, "Choicest Gunpowder Tea From W. F. Vandiver & Co., Wholesale Grocers Montgomery ALA." Ends of box are decorated with Chinese ships. Back of box has a seated Chinese Emperor. Measures 8" high X 8" wide X 8" deep. Condition- Considering the age, it is very rare that the labels are still present and legible. See photos.

Comes with two records and three record holders. Condition- Spring is not broken. Cylinder rotated when winded. The stop mechanism did not hold. Case is in good condition with some minor wear and scratches. See photos.

George Bretting Sowerby (1788-1854) Flame Mahogany Five Drawer Specimen Case Circa 1840. This case has a paper label under the bottom drawer. The case was produced when Sowerby was working at his last business location on the Great Russell St. George was the second son of the famed James Sowerby, an English naturalist and mineralogist. Label reads, "From Sowerby, Mineralogist & Conchologist, 61. Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury." Inner drawers have the original knobs and flame mahogany veneer. Measures 14 5/8" high X 14 1/4" wide X 12 1/4" deep. Condition- Overall good condition. Top and doors have slight bow to wood. Case has some minor veneer crackle to top. See photos.

Rare 1868 Miller Iron Co. Cast Iron Beehive Birdhouse. This seldom seen birdhouse was patented by The Miller Iron Co., Providence, Rhode Island, April 14, 1868. Top of this birdhouse is embossed with maker's name. The birdhouse has a built-in screw at top where the birdhouse could be screwed in the bottom of a branch. Measures approximately 7" high X 6 1/4" diameter. Birdhouse is attached to an old piece of pine flooring. Condition- Birdhouse is in fine condition, no cracks, chips, or damage to cast iron. Interior of birdhouse has some rust and remnants of an old silver paint. Exterior has worn brown and burgundy paint. See photos.

N.Y.C. Cow Parade Fiberglass Cow Circa 2000. The cow is decorated with a checkered Taxi cab cap, a large "Big Apple with the New York Yankees logo, and a pastrami and rye sandwich wreath around neck. The apple measures approximately 14" diameter X 16 1/2" high. Both sides of the cow depict famous New York City landmarks: The Twin Towers, Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty. Cow measures approximately 65" high X 83" long X 32" wide. Condition- Overall good condition. The cow has a fiberglass split at throat through wreath. Tail needs some repairs. Rare Brunswick-Balke Collender Co. Empire Pool Balls. This early complete set comes in the original box marked with stencil, "Fancy." Finger jointed box measures 10" square X 3" high. Set also comes with a Brunswick-Balke carom and pocket billiard table rack. Condition- Overall good condition. Balls have some wear and age cracks. Rack is missing two brass corner straps. John W. Hill (1812-1879) Boston Harbor Color Engraving. "Engraved by C. Mottran, Published by Smith Bros & Co., New York,...1857." We believe this color engraving is a 20th Century copy. This engraving has visible plate marks that measure 28 1/2" X 41 3/4". The engraving is double matted under glass in a contemporary gold leaf frame. Frame: 43 1/2" X 56". Visible image: 24 14" X 38 1/4". There will be considerable shipping charges for a frame this size. Condition- Good condition. See photos.

Late 18th century embroidery on silk mourning Memento Mori (18.5" x 12.75") to Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Monument reads, "Jean-Jacques Rousseau born 28 June 1712 died 2 July 1778". Jean-Jacques Rousseau was a Swiss philosopher, writer, and composer. His political philosophy influenced the progress of the Age of Enlightenment throughout Europe, as well as aspects of the French Revolution and the development of modern political, economic, and educational thought. Framed in a Circa 1830 Empire mahogany frame, 22" X 28". Visible image measures 12 3/4" X 18 1/2". Condition - Has a "L" shaped separation, approximately 3/4" x 3/8" on lower right next to base of tree. Has three small pin holes near couple and two minor separations to silk on lower left . The frame has been reduced in size to 22" X 28"). See Photos.

The base is scroll shell with flower basket. Looks to be all original. Measures 62" high X 12" deep at base. The shade measures 9" X 12" diameter. Condition- Lamp is in good condition. The shade has one lower panel approx. 4 1/2" long X 2", with old repair and crack damage. Other panels have some cracks and finish loss/chips. Displays very well, especially when it is turned on.
