As gorgeous as it is important, Glenn Fabry to the stunning iconic cover of the first appearance of the Bat-breaking Bane and the rest is Tom Hardy history, DC’s Vengeance Of Bane number 1 from January of 1993. A sure-fire stunner copy, look at those edges and corners, smooth surface, amazing pages, outstanding white back cover, I honestly can’t find even a minor blemish with this landmark, what a gem.

Keeping the Gotham train rolling with another gorgeous Bat gem, the astonishing Alex Ross with this landmark tremendous iconic cover (as are most, if not all of his covers), the first canonical appearance of everyone’s favorite warped Joker-gal, Harley Quinn, this issue of course also includes a better and more accurate origin with Ross, Paul Dini and crew ushering in a less-cartoony, more evil and entity establishing presence. DC’s Batman Harley Quinn issue number 1 from September of 1999. A pristine copy, amazing edges and corners, great back cover, fabulous inner pages, mister J! This book is so fresh, clean and taut, I didn’t want to unnecessarily bend the cover and backing for photos, it’s pristine.

"If Looks Could Kill…" this Rob Liefeld gem just murdered, way before Josh Brolin and Ryan Reynolds there were these two knuckleheads — Marvels Cable & Deadpool number 1 from May of 2004, the first appearance of One World Church, Sauerkraut, The Spammers, Go-Go and more. The faintest edge wear on the spine, but this is a bonafide beauty of a copy.

The first full appearance and origin of fan-favorite villain Tony Masters aka the duplicate weapon wielding Task Master "The Terrible Toll Of The Taskmaster," gotta love that great George Perez cover, Marvels Avengers volume 1 issue 194 from June of 1980, a gift from legend George Perez, also the first appearance of Cyber-Squad X. Some minimal wear to the bottom edge of cover and a few dings and creases to the top center edge, that top center ding echoes through the inner pages and to the back cover, a few brief surface dents to the back cover.

The end of Wade Wilson?! Not likely! It’s time to make the chimichangas, Marvels Deadpool Volume 2 issue number -1 from July of 1997 "Paradigm Lost," after the first few very brief mini series before this one, everyone’s favorite Merc with a mouth established a now household name, sense of humor and presence with this series that had staying power and went deep into a run of 69 issues…nice. This issue is the first appearance of Overboss Dixon and a few others. A gem copy, amazing edges, corners, inners and backing.

Cooler than the other side of the pillow and as deadly as an army of assassins, Wesley Snipes, I mean, Blade The Vampire Hunter here with three excellent examples — Marvel Max Blade Volume 2 issue 1 from May of 2002, then issues 2 and 3 to the first Volume (no issue 1 which would complete the three issue first miniseries) December of 1998 and January of 1999, issue 2 is the Bart Sears variant cover. Issues 2 and 3 are foldout covers and that’s where the only blemish is with this lot, very minor edge wear to the foldout edge, great inners and backing, outstanding copies otherwise.

Paul Dini, Chuck Dixon and many others creator collabs but how about those stupendous Brian Stelfreeze covers? Stunners. DC’s Batman Poison Ivy, Mr.Freeze, Batgirl and Bane TPB sized-like issues all from 1997, awesome artwork and story for these four Gotham fables. Only the faintest amount of wear to the bottom edge of spine to Bane, truly terrific copies all four of them.

Earth’s mightiest heroes in an assembling that would make even the most terrible threat tremble to its knees, Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issues 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, and a skip to issue 97, a time span of July of 1971 to March of 1972, issue 93 of course is the first landmark "Beach Head Earth" issue which features the iconic Buscema cover corner Bo’s Vision art that would be a staple for the series plus the rejoining of Vision, Goliath, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver to the team, the first appearances of The Mandroids and others, plus the leaving of Goliath in issue 97. Creases to the covers, spines and perimeters, a tiny stamping to back of issue 92, some brief foxing to the back of issue 93, minimal print rubbing, mostly great inner pages and sharp backings.

The first two steps out of hell with Al Simmons in these two McFarlane gems, a character that trounced competitor titles and owned a giant chunk of Comic and pop culture history — Image Comics Spawn number 1 and 2 from May and June of 1992, the first appearances of course of Al Simmons, Sam & Twitch, Malebolgia, and so many others, both first printings, both beautiful in condition, even the staples are clean.

The fabulous first appearance of Jeremiah Arkham and Victor Zsasz in this Alan Grant, Brian Stelfreeze and Norm Breyfogle Gotham gem — DC’s Shadow Of The Bat volume 1 issue 1 from June of 1992, "The Last Arkham." Spectacular condition, no damages or blemishes to this Bat beauty, clean concise inners and white sharp backing.

Snoogans! Dante and Randall become involved in the seedy underground world of Star Wars 'chase' figures in this Kevin Smith, Jim Mahfood View Askew gem, Oni Press’ Clerks The Comic Book number 1 from February of 1998 first printing. The briefest bit of nubbing to the bottom left corner tip, but this is a superb copy, outstanding everywhere with this book.

Mar-Vell is a stellar marvelous way but way before Starlin crafted him into the extraordinary entity he would be then on regarded and known as, Marvels Captain Marvel volume 1 a straight shot run of issues 17 through 21 5 issues spanning October of 1969 to August of 1970, absolutely including landmark issue 17 ( the first appearance of the new costume — I’ve always favored the Green And Silver, myself) the first appearance of Nega-Bands, the first appearance of the Psyche-Magnatron, first Doctor Weller in the Hulk battle epic, plus tons of other awesome occurrences. Some minor spine wear and wear to the bottom edges on covers in a few spots, but mostly very nice copies, good inners.

Harley is driven to astounding lengths to free her loony lover in this Terry and Rachel Dodson, Karl Kesel HQ ha ha — DC’s Harley Quinn volume 1 issue 1 from December of 2000, the first solo series for the clown queen, the first appearances of Happy Jack, Buster, Martin and some other minors. Issue is spectacular clean, sharp and superb everywhere with no minor damages.

Odin’s son in four thunderous samples here, Marvel’s Thor volume 1 issues 152, 157, 184 and 187 from May of 1968 to April of 1971 the time span for Doctor Blake here, the first appearances of Guntharr and The Silent One with these Buscema/Kirby gems. Some minimal wear and creasing to the staples and spines here and there, minor perimeter wear, a small faded stamping to the title of issue 157, mostly great inner pages and back covers.

A bodacious bounty of Bruce Banner books in smashing fashion — Marvels Incredible Hulk volume 1 issues 120, 121, 123, 124 and 125 (missing issue 122), from October of 1969 to March of 1970, the Absorbing Man, Rhino, The Leader, Glob and other villains await Hulk. One small faded number stamping to title on issue 124, only super brief moments of edge wear here and there, Fine- to VG+ copies, nice concise inners and clean backings.

The mastermind behind spectacular titles and haunts such as 30 Days Of Night takes a different stab in the dark with this delightful chilling series, IDW’s Aleister Arcane from Steve Niles issues 1, 2 and 3 from April, May and June of 2004, all first printings all three in fabulous, like-new condition with no damages or blemishes.

Two dazzling Dark Knight delights including dizzying great imagery from Frank Miller, Michael W. Kaluta, and Jim Lee included, DC’s Batman Black and White volume 1 issues 1 and 2 from June and July of 1996. Both outstanding in shape, no minor blemishes, just straight and sharp corners and clean surfaces and inner pages.

The Death of Lightning Lad, Mon-El leaves the Phantom Zone permanently, the first appearance of Proty II, second ever Element Lad, third Phantom Girl, the origin of Ultra-Boy, and "The Song Of Pain And Sorrow" 1986 benefit issue for Africa that includes an almost endless line-up of comic legends to its roster, DC’s Adventure Comics number 304, 305, 316, and DC’s Heroes Against Hunger One-Shot from 1986. Only very minor and brief moments of edge wear and tiny spots of nubbing to a few corners.

Just in time for the remake film adaptation (which looks…well, something else altogether) comes this early dive into the dark world of Eric Draven from legendary Alex Maleev, John Wagner and James O’Barr — Kitchen Sink’s The Crow Dead Time complete miniseries issues 1,2 and 3 from January, February and March of 1996, all first printings. All absolutely beautiful in condition, sharp and pristine.

Reprinting the first appearances and origin of the GOTG, how a household name thanks to James Gunn and crew, Arnold Drake, Gene Colan and Mike Esposito creating wonders, Marvels Astonishing Tales volume 1 issue 29 from April of 1975, "Earth Shall Overcome!" Some faint nubbing to the top and bottom of spine, minor spots of wear seldomly.

Four brilliant, beautiful and brutal BWS bludgeonings, and early ones at that, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 6, 7, 8 and 9 June to September of 1971, the savage Cimmerian with the first appearance of Set, Garakaa the Winged One, the first Conan’s Tribe and Captain Burgun. A few minor brief moments of browning and spine wear, mostly nice copies with good edges and inner pages.

From July of 1975 to May of 1976, everyone’s favorite muck monster (sorry Man-Thing) menacing about with this continuous chunk toward the end of the first series, DC’s Swamp Thing volume 1 issues 17 through 22, six issues, David Michelinie and Nestor Rodondo. Besides some very brief and minor spine creasing, these remain very nice issues, no other damages really, VG+ if not better.

The excellent Erik Larsen’s passion project and flagship series begins here, Image Comics The zsavage Dragon volume 1 mini series complete issues 1, 2 and 3 from July, October and December of 1992, Chicago’s finest fierce warrior against Superpatriot, Bedrock and other beasties. All three books superb and sharp, spectacular condition with no blemishes. All have posters intact at the centerfold, all are first printings.

Too much tuna? More like too much wise cracking’, everyone’s favorite Merc with the Mouth back at it again with time travelling, gunslinging son of Cyclops, Marvels Cable & Deadpool volume 1 issues 2 all the way to 26, June of 2004 to May of 2006, 25 issues together. All issues in excellent shape, no major blemishes, a possible moment or two of brief waving or faint edge wear.

If you are a mutant fan (and honestly who isn’t nowadays?!), boy are you in for a treat! This is almost the last chunk of gem issues from a particular uncanny short box wherein all issues were amazing in condition and bagged with the smooth taut poly p baggings, Marvels X-men volume 1 issues 111, 112, 114, 124, 138, 140, 143, 146, 147, 160, 164, and then the Annuals number 5 and 6, June of 1978 to 1982. There’s too many important occurrences and appearances to name, this was of course during the treasured period of Claremont, Byrne, Austin, every issue was just a delight all its own. As stated before, these are all gem copies, superb, spectacular, sensational in shape. Even the tape to the bagging tore oddly because I’m almost positive they were never opened after being bagged and boarded ages ago.

Three shining beauties together, all embossed, red, silver and gold foil covers — Marvel Comics Avengers West Coast number 100 from November 1993, Avengers 366 and 369 September and December of 1993. Issue 366 is the first appearance of the Plug-Uglies, Foam and Flame. All nice and minty, clean and sharp.

Beginning beautifully with the wraparound chromium cover for issue 1, continuing for more steps in the series and ending with the Babewatch issue 1 Special, Stephen Platt and Chuck Dixon, Image Comics Prophet volume 2 issues 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, August of 1995 to February of 1996, Prophet Babewatch Special number 1 (numbered issue 2 volume 1 to the frontispiece) December of 1995. All issues excellent with no blemishes.

DC doing all the can to please readers including packing a comic with 80 pages to help sales but they did make for great reads including important moments from characters histories, DC’s Batman number 193 from July of 1967, Superman number 187 from June of 1966, and Superboy number 138 from June of 1967. Some scattered creasing to the perimeters, some staining and print rubbing but only in a few brief spots mostly, the Superboy issue is actually quite nice with only some faint creasing to the spine and a few minor surface scuffs and stains to its backing.

Jim Mooney and Joe Sinnott shot odd and outstanding action into this often overlooked series, Marvel Omega The Unknown volume 1 the first four issues, from March to September of 1976, the first issue including the first appearance of the titular character Model X3Z (Omega), James-Michael Starling, Amber Douglas and Protar. All issues are quit excellent in shape, minor spine creasing, nubbing, a few spots of brief wear.

Jack Russell taking six suspenseful steps into the dangerous evening with this excellent lot — Marvels Werewolf By Night volume 1 issues 11, 14, 17, 18, 21, and 22, not exactly a straight shot of issues as it does jump around, but awesome nonetheless, November of 1973 to October of 1974, show, bunch of minor first appearances and some deaths of course, outrageous howling stuff from Gil Kane, Vince Coletta and crew. A few issues have some super duper faint creasing to their covers, but these are mostly really nice copies, VG+ to Fine+, nice inners, issues 11 and 18 labeled VF to their backings (issue 22 should be also quite frankly), issue 17 labeled a NM/M and it is pretty close to it.

Scott Summers and Jean Grey with an early team-up outing, plus a Beast solo story - Marvels X-men volume 1 issue number 48 from September of 1968, the first appearance of Computo in this Don Heck, John Romita, Arnold Drake, Werner Roth mutant gem. A bit of waving to the frontispiece, a brief amount of print rubbing to the backing and some minimal edge wear to the cover, cream off-white concise inner pages.

They say go big or go home and if you’re the man without fear, there isn’t any bigger than this quite frankly, Marvels Daredevil volume 1 issues 120, 159, 161, 163, 165, 166, 171, 172, 173, 174, and 175, most of this tremendous DD lot spans the landmark Klaus Janson / Frank Miller era that helped saved this series from cancellation and brought brilliance to the title, too many important moments within this lot. All of these issues are from the same short box wherein every issue was clean, sharp and sensational in condition, amazing shape, only super minor spine creases if any.

Legends Don McGregor and Gene Colan both hand autographed this tremendous tome, numbered 336 out of only 600, Vanguard’s The Spider Scavengers Of The Slaughtered Sacrifices hardcover from 2002, a little dust on the dust jacket but this book remains beautiful, signed and awesome in condition.

Outstanding and stellar, only a thousand of these ever produced, over 20 years in the making and close to 400 pages of story, art and more, for the first time ever, the first and complete arc (made up of the first 12 issues) from Starlin's epic saga is collected in one place, Dynamic Forces’ Dreadstar Definitive Edition from 2004, 376 pages of outstanding Jim Starlin work collecting the first twelve issues of the series. This hardcover is sealed and like new, never taken out of the plastic wrap. I am unsure if this hardcover is autographed by Starlin, because it does not have the signed label sticker to its backing but I assume it does, like the rest. One small perforation to the plastic to the bottom right corner tip.

You want a devastating assembly of earth’s mightiest heroes, look no further — 7 huge TPBs, Marvels Avengers Assemble Volume 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, all first printings and from around 2010, then Young Avengers Ultimate Collection, well over a thousand pages of action. All six softcovers are awesome and like-new with no blemishes.

Continuing Dark Horse Comics tradition of fine reprint books, these tremendous tomes are the first ever collection of Flash Gordon work by Raboy. Beginning his comics career in 1940,`Mac' Raboy drew comics for the Harry A Chesler Studio and for Fawcett Publications, iconic work indeed and here’s a stellar space shoot of the first two huge sized softcovers — Dark Horse Mac Raboy’s Flash Gordon Volume 1 and Volume 2 both first editions from 2003, both beautiful and like-new, no damages.

An Asgardian treasure trove indeed, Mjölnir swings hard with this tremendous lot — 7 (seven) Marvel Masterwork The Mighty Thor’s, Volumes 5 through 11, a giant chunk of Thor’s history, all still shrink wrapped in plastic and new, Volume 9 has a small perforation to the bottom of the book’s plastic wrap.

Sue, Reed, Johnny and Ben back at in brilliant fashion with a stunner lot to showcase Marvel’s first superhero team, 7 items in total including 5 Marvel Masterworks Volumes 9, 10, 12, 13, and 14 (no volume 11), then comic issue 116 from Volume 1 November 1971, and the triple sized 30th Anniversary cut out cover for issue 358 November 1991. Both issues are really nice, minor dings or wear if at all, all Masterworks are shrink wrapped and like-new.

Easily regarded as one of the most important, influential and incredible artists and creators in all of comic history, Steve Ditko gave us so many gifts and here’s a terrific lot that features so so much of his glorious work, four Fantagraphics Books’ The Steve Ditko Archives Volumes 2, 3, 4 and 5, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015, all first editions, all absolutely beautiful and outstanding in condition however the back of Unexplored Worlds (Volume 2) does have a barcode sticker to its backing.

The Golden Age of Marvel way before they were even Marvel (Timely and then of course Atlas) showcased marvelously — three still sealed and like-new Marvel Masterworks Golden Age of Marvel Comics Volume 5, 6 and 7, Carl Burgos (the legendary creator of Human Torch), Bill Everett (creator of Sub-Mariner), Jack The King Kirby and so many other industry titans work featured. Only a few holes to the bottom of plastic for Volume 7.

One of the most beloved writers in modern literature and comics, Neil Gaiman is in a class his own with fairy tales and phenomenal fable work, Vertigo’s Stardust Being A Romance Within The Realms Of Faerie by Charles Vess and Gaiman 2007 first printing, then Dark Horse Creatures Of The Night by Michael Zulli and Gaiman first edition November 2004, finally Dark Horse’s Forbidden Brides of The Faceless Slaves In The Secret House Of The Night Of Dread Desire from Gaiman and Shane Oakley first edition January 2017. All hardcovers are pristine, except they do have some dust and a few simple dust scuffs to Stardust’s cover (easily cleanable).

The phenomenal Paul Grist is a British comic book creator, noted for his hard-boiled police series Kane (showcased spectacularly here) and his unorthodox superhero series Jack Staff, Grist's art is notable for its spare — sometimes stiff — style, heavy use of shadow, and inventive layouts. His writing is marked by a penchant for sudden cuts between events occurring in different time periods, without the gradual transitions common to the comic book medium, this lovely lot includes 11 items 6 TPB sized softcovers, the first four issues (1-4) of Kane from Dancing Elephant Press, plus a Kickstarter exclusive signed print page. All items clean and like-new.

A stunner modern artist and creator, Steve Rude is anything but boring with this brilliant and beautiful tome, best known for his work on Nexus and countless other titles, 72 pages featuring notes and illustrations from the great, a Kickstarter only exclusive, Steve Rude Sketchbook 2013 first printing, and featuring a Space Ghost frontispiece illustration signed as well, and a separate art print. Just wow. Book is pristine and beautiful, as is the print.

Stellar adventures and sultry action from the realms of fantasy and horror collide, Metal Mammoth’s Heavy Metal Magazine 18 back issues spanning September 2000 all the way to May of 2007, staggering artwork from Simon Bisley, Horacio Altuna, Luis Royo and countless others. Some issues may include a foldout poster or card inside, as HM would sometimes do. All mags in great shape, possible minor spine wear.

The Defenders is somewhat campy yet still awesome and very inspired work from a special era of comic-dom that still goes strong, here we have the second and third courageous and super cool appearance of The Defenders plus the first appearances of Colonel Beame and Colonel Wagner in Marvel Feature volume 1 issues 2 and 3 from March and June of 1972. Minor spine creasing to issue 3, brief browning to inners, a faint moment or two of surface wear, mostly very nice copies.

Respected and appreciated by everyone from Garth Ennis to Ed Brubaker to Damon Lindelof and beyond, Jason Aaron and R.M. Guéra’s acclaimed Scalped here with 5 giant TPBs — Dead Mothers, High Lonesome, The Gravel In Your Guts, The GNAwing and Rex Blues, released around the mid to late 2000’s. All books clean and sharp, like new and bagged.

Davy Nelson to the skies and ground with all around action from Chuck Dixon, Timothy Truman and more, Eclipse Comics’ Airboy volume 1 issues 1 through 11, July to December of 1986, issue 5 is of course the gorgeous Dave Stevens cover for the return of Valkyrie (and what a gem that issue is). Dazzling delightful copies the entire lot, a faint possible surface or two but truly terrific issues.

Curt Swan to the rescue! Or more like Superboy and the LoSH, DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issues 311, 314, 315, and 318, from August of 1963 to March of 1964, many many many second and third appearances, first Ron-Karr, and a whole lot more. Only minimal tiny creases to the spine and perimeters, concise great inner pages, good back covers mostly.

The hands of Shang-Chi are mighty and powerful, Marvels Master Of Kung-Fu volume 1 issues 16 through 20, five issues of course, martial arts mayhem at its finest via legends Jim Starlin, Steve Englehart and others, this lot includes the title change from Special Marvel Edition to Master Of Kung-Fu, issue 17 the first of the series actually and the third appearance of the titular character and first Black Jack Tarr. All five furious books are beautiful, only a brief bit of creases if at all to a spine, a minor moment of edge wear, very terrific copies.

Embark on a cosmic journey with Captain Marvel in issues 36-43 from 1975-76. This pivotal lot includes the Watcher, the Stranger, and the Destroyer, marking a significant chapter in the Marvel Universe. Witness Captain Marvel’s battles across the cosmos, his encounters with enigmatic entities, and the unfolding of his destiny, issue 36 includes first Una and Yon-Rogg. Mostly minor moments of wear or print rubbing, a few pen marking to the intro page of 38, mostly great inner pages, good back covers.

Engage in the epic "M.A.R.S. Patrol Total War" with issues 3-10, where Earth’s mightiest heroes confront an alien invasion. Notable for the first appearance of the series under the "M.A.R.S. Patrol Total War? title in issue 3, this lot is a collector’s dream. The creative team, led by scriptwriter Leo Dorfman and legendary artists like Wallace Wood and Mike Roy, brought to life the valiant struggles of the Marine Attack Rescue Service against a mysterious extraterrestrial force. These issues are a testament to the imaginative storytelling and artistic prowess that defined the Silver Age of comics. Issue 3 has some slight waving and print rubbing, a few pen markings but the majority of issues fall around a Fine-/VG+, clean frontispieces, concise inners.

This stunner series is known for bringing together classic heroes like Captain America, Human Torch, and Namor to fight against the forces of Nazism during World War II, Roy Thomas, Sal Buscema and Vinnie colletta to this wonderful WW2 spectacle -- Marvels The Invaders volume 1 issues 1 through 5 August of 1975 to March of 1976, many minor firsts like Brunnhilde, Donar, Froh, Loga and more, then The Invaders Annual number 1 from 1977, finally Invaders The Eve Of Destruction TPB from 2010. Super brief bits of tiny creases to a spine or two, but mostly beautiful copies especially the Annual, the TPB and issues 1, 4 and 5.

The "Red Wolf" series, issues 1-9 from 1972, is a notable part of Marvel’s history, featuring the adventures of the Native American hero Red Wolf, issue 1 introduces Red Wolf’s solo series, with Red Wolf and Lobo fighting against The Guns of Fort Rango, Gardner Fox, Roy Thomas and Syd Shores to the rescue as these issues are significant for their portrayal of a Native American superhero during a time when such representation was rare in comics. Mostly really really nice copies, most issues lurking around the Fine+ range, only super minor moments of wear if at all.

The Galaxy’s greatest hero squad against endless foes and baddies including the second appearance of the Anti-Matter Man and more, Murphy Anderson, Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowski weaving wonders with DC’s Justice League Of America Volume 1, 6 issues here numbers 40, 45, 47, 48, 53 and 56 with a hero time stamp of November of 1965 to September of 1967. So,e typical spine creasing and perimeter wear, issue 47 had definite surface rubbing and creasing to its spine, mostly good inner pages and back covers.

Jim Steranko's fine zine covering popular entertainment. Tabloid newspaper format (all issues come folded) but on good quality white paper stock. Science fiction specials, movie features, original Star Wars artwork from Ralph McQuarrie, Bernie Wrightson, original Steranko The Shadow, Godfather, Alien, Charles Bronson, and several other greats like Neal Adams, etc, an entire short box full of these, and actually all are in quite great condition from storage, no major rips or tears, only slight print rubbing lines to a few. This includes 32 issues, numbers: 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, doubles of issue 32, 33, 34, 35, doubles of 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40. Whew. Awesome Star Wars covers and Steranko content for days!

Reprinting some of the greatest, galactic and goriest moments from precode horror, Weird Fantasy number 2 from January 1993, Tales From The Crypt number 2 from December of 1992, Shock Suspenstories number 2 from December of 1992, Two-Fisted Tales number 2 from January 1993, Vault of Horror number 2 from January of 1993, and Weird Science number 2 from December of 1992. All clean and sharp with no blemishes.

A bunch of kicked up dust from the dynamite lot, Marvels Western Gunfigheters volume 1 issue 5 from June of 1971, Rawhide Kid number 100 from June of 1972, Mighty Marvel Western numbers 10, 14, 15 and 16 from September of 1970 to March of 1971, and Giant-Size Kid Colt number 1 from January of 1975. These are super nice copies, hardly a crease to any of their spines, great corners and edges mostly, some minor wear to the bottom left corner of Giant-Size number 1.

The "Doctor Solar, Man of the Atom" series from Gold Key Comics is a classic collection that features the adventures of Dr. Solar, a powerful hero with atomic and energy manipulation abilities, these issues continue the saga of Dr. Solar as he battles various threats using his atomic powers. The series is notable for its Silver Age artistry and storytelling, which has left a lasting impact on the superhero genre, 7 issues: Numbers 11, 12, 21, 23, 24, 25, and 26 from March of 1965 to January of 1969. Take a look at these copies, they’re mostly superb in condition, outstanding covers and only minor and minimal moments of wear.

These issues are part of the rich history of the Hulk series, showcasing the talent of some of Marvel’s legendary artists and writers. They offer fans a look at the evolution of the Bruce Banner and his world, King-Size Special No.3 cover art was done by Herb Trimpe, with interior art by Jack Kirby and Mike Esposito, Hulk Annual No.5 issue featured the work of Sal Buscema on pencils and Jack Abel on inks, with a cover by Jack Kirby, Jack Abel, and John Romita and is notable for the first appearances of duplicates of classic monsters like Diablo, Groot, and others created by Xemnu. Both issues are pretty great in shape, white frontispieces and back covers, even inners and only brief bits of wear and print rubbing to a spot or two.

These issues are notable for their exploration of grand themes and the introduction of significant mythological elements into the Fantastic Four’s storyline. They showcase the creative talents of some of Marvel’s most celebrated artists and writers of the time, written by Gerry Conway, with art by John Buscema and inks by Chic Stone, the creative team included writer Gerry Conway and Marv Wolfman, with Rich Buckler as the penciller and Joe Sinnott as the inker, issue 3 introduced the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse within the Marvel Universe, featuring characters War, Pestilence, Famine, and Death, Marvels Giant-Size Fantastic Four numbers 2 and 3 from August and November of 1974. Both have some creasing and wear to spines and perimeter on covers, slight scuffing and print rubbing to backings, mostly good inner pages.

These issues are notable for their contributions to the horror and supernatural elements within the Marvel Universe, showcasing the talents of some of Marvel’s notable artists and writers such as Gil Kane, Doug Moench and others, issue 2 features "The Frankenstein Monster Meets Werewolf by Night," where the Frankenstein Monster and Jack Russell (Werewolf by Night) confront the Brotherhood of Baal. Danton Vayla makes his first and last appearance in this issue, issue 4 the Werewolf finds himself in a deadly battle against Morbius, the Living Vampire, and in 5 Jack Russell learns about the Biphasians’ power and is forced into battle with Paingloss -- Marvel Giant Size Werewolf By Night numbers 2, 4 and 5 from October of 1974 and April and July of 1975. VG+ if not better copies, only brief spots of wear.

More brilliant covers from legend above legends Neal Adams, The "Phantom Stranger" series is a notable part of DC Comics’ supernatural line-up, with issues 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 from the 1969 series being particularly significant, The series often featured the Phantom Stranger in mysterious and supernatural settings, confronting various otherworldly threats and moral dilemmas, regular guest appearances by characters like Dr. 13, Deadman, the Spawn of Frankenstein, and Black Orchid added depth to the series, Adams’ work on the series helped to redefine the visual representation of the Phantom Stranger and is considered some of his most memorable contributions to the comic book industry -- DC's The Phantom Stranger number 3, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 from 1969, most of the haunting gems range from Fine- to dangerously close to VF+. really delightful copies.

This crossover series is notable for blending the cosmic scale of the Micronauts’ adventures with the mutant heroes of the X-Men, creating a unique and memorable storyline, series was written by Chris Claremont and Bill Mantlo, penciling was done by Jackson Guice, with inking by Bob Wiacek and Rick Bryant, Julianna Ferriter and Butch Guice also contributed to the artwork, while Rick Parker was involved in scripting, it features the first encounter between the X-Men and the Micronauts and includes appearances by characters such as Commander Arcturus Rann, Marionette, Acroyear, Bug, and Huntarr from the Micronauts, as well as X-Men members like Nightcrawler, Storm, Colossus, Wolverine, and Kitty Pryde, date span of October of 1983 to April of 1984. All four books are beautiful with no blemishes.

These stunner issues focus on developing existing relations and exploring Superman’s adventures. with wonderful work from Frank Robbins, Ross Andru, and Al Plastino, DC's Superman volume 1 issues 211 and 212 from November of 1968 and January of 1969, Superman takes on a phony art school and travels back in time to pose for famous paintings like Gainsborough’s Blue Boy and Rembrandt’s Night Watch, and then Superman is challenged by a thief who can be in two places at once. It also includes a backstory involving Professor Amos Dunn, who had previously saved Kal-El’s life on Krypton. Both books remain VG+ if not better, minor moments of wear, great concise inners, nice back covers.

Beginning with the first ever solo Silver Surfer story and first appearance of Psycho-Man, then the First appearances of the Elementals of Doom, the living embodiments of the four elements - Air, Earth, Fire, Water - created by the Talismans of Power, then the Galactus John Byrne beauty "Shall Earth Endure" and finishing with the second appearance of X-Factor with “Like A Phoenix,” Marvel Fantastic Four volume 1 King-Size 5 from 1967, plus issues 232, 243, 286 July of 1981 to January of 1986. All four of these FF fables are quite delightful in condition, even the King-Size has only minor spine and edge wear, faint browning.

Batroc the Leaper and other foes at it again giving Steve the means, Marvel Captain America volume 1 numbers 126, 127, 130 and 131, June to November of 1970, first appearances include Diamond Head, Android X-4, Doctor Ryder, Batroc’s Brigade, The Hood, and the new James Barnes Bucky. All four fables are fantastic in condition, only faint spine wear, brief nubbing to a corner tip or two.

Magnificent Mike Grell covers for this dynamite lot of DC’s Green Lantern / Green Arrow numbers 90 through 101, September of 1976 to February of 1978. Issue 90 Marks the beginning of the third Green Lantern/Green Arrow team-up series and the first issue of the title since April-May of 1972. This issue also features the first appearance of Saarek, a Vulcan Green Lantern, this stellar run includes a storyline where a nuclear test in a Nevada desert uncovers a long-buried alien ship. Green Lantern and Green Arrow intervene to free an alien captive from his captors, revealing a twist in the tale. Mike Grell’s contributions to the series are highly regarded, and his covers are considered some of the most iconic in the Green Lantern/Green Arrow series. Collectors often seek out these issues not only for the stories within but also for the art that encapsulates the essence of the era. All issues are Fine- to VF+, most clean, sharp and superb.

The "Ex Machina" trade paperbacks from Wildstorm are a collection of the acclaimed comic series that blend superhero storytelling with political drama. Power Down: This volume collects issues where a blackout hits New York City, affecting the life of Mayor Hundred and his past as the superhero The Great Machine.Ex Cathedra: This volume includes a storyline where Mayor Hundred is invited by the Pope for a conversation, leading to unexpected events. March To War: This volume collects “Ex Machina” #17-20 and “Ex Machina Special” #1-2. It features a shocking tragedy at an Iraq War protest in downtown Manhattan. The volume was first printed in November 2006 and contains 144 pages. Smoke Smoke: This volume deals with a controversial art piece that leads to a series of explosive events. The series was written by Brian K. Vaughan, with art by Tony Harris, Tom Feister, Chris Sprouse, and Karl Story. The central character is Mitchell Hundred, also known as The Great Machine, who becomes the mayor of New York City after his heroic actions during 9/11. Other characters include his staff and various figures from his past life as a superhero. All four in like-new, sharp and sensational condition.

The man without fear fantastically here, 2 still sealed and shrink wrapped Marvel Masterworks Daredevil Volumes 1 and 2 that collect all of the beginning of Matt Murdock’s issues 1 from 21 with delightful Wallace Wood and John Romita art. Both books still sealed, no perforations to plastic.

Your friendly neighborhood hero here but way bigger and awesome than usual, six (6) still-sealed and shrink wrapped hardcovers, Marvel Masterworks The Amazing Spider-Man Volumes 6 through 11, this collects all issues to ASM number 51 all the webbed way through issue 109 and then some. One small perforation to center of Volume 7’s cover.

John Romita Jr., Al Williamson, and Ann Nocenti to "Blackheart," of course the first appearance of Blackheart the demonic Prince Of Hell that would become a feature for many a series and threat in also video games as well, Marvels Daredevil volume 1 issue 270 from September of 1989. Issue is near impeccable with not even a slight crease to the spine, some super duper faint edge wear to the left and right top edges.

Get your guns, cigar and eye patch, Marvels colonel Fury with two furious samples — Nick Fury Agent Of Shield TPB third printing September 2001, and Nick Fury Agent Of Shield Volume 1 number 1 from September of 1989. Both comic and TPB are awesome and like-new with only a faint bit of nubbing to a corner or two.

Shrinking to microscopic sizes, but not in this particular lot — a whole hug amount of Hank Pym here, beginning with the first appearance of Dr. Nemesis, Shiner, then first Trish Starr, and ending with the first ever solo The Thing story "Cry Monster!" A whole bunch of awesome, Marvel Feature volume 1 issues 4 through 11, July of 1972 to September of 1973, Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby and other greats. Oh also, don’t forget the fabulous Origin of Wasp for issue 8! Mostly very great issues, however some ink staining to the spines and slightly to backs of issues 5, 9 and 10.

Speed Racer arch nemesis here all fast like, Now Comics’ Racer X Volume 1 premiere issue 0 from August of 1988 (this is a TPB sized issue), then Racer X issues 1 and 2 from September and October of 1988. All three in terrific clean and sharp shape, outstanding edges and inners.

Marvels most popular horror title here with a staggering and stinging lot — thirteen (13) issues included for all Frank Drake fans, The Tomb Of Dracula volume 1 issues 7, 9, 11 and 12 through 21, a biting time span of March of 1973 to June of 1974. The first appearances of Quincy and Edith Harker, Bucko, Rafe, Roland, Deacon Frost and the origin of Blade the Vampire Hunter, second ever Blade, I mean come on this is too much awesome almost. What’s awesome is the condition of these issues, very terrific mostly, clean covers, outstanding inner pages and great backs, only super brief moments of edge wear if at all, some ink staining to issues to backs of 12 and 13 slightly. Sink your teeth into this one!

Considered an early Thanos appearance but actually the 8th appearance of the terrorizing gauntlet wielding, death-obsessed titan, the Controller and Drax The Destroyer make a cameo in this Mike Friedrich, John Romita, Jim Starlin gem — Marvel Feature volume 1 issue 12 from November of 1973, "The Bite Of The Blood Brothers!" A fantastic copy, only some super brief print rubbing to an area or two on cover.

On the surface this issue might not look like anything special, but special it very much is; this issue was the great George Perez’s big break in comic books, before this issue the soon-to-be-legend had only penciled a few pages on the first appearance of Deathlok (his first ever work at all), and a few issues with Master Of Kung-Fu, this issue would begin him fine tuning and defining his style as only he could, plus this is also marks Captain A rejoining the Avengers after a long departure — Marvels Avengers volume 1 issue 141 November of 1975, "The Phantom Empire," as Gil Kane, John Romita, Vince Colletta also join the great. Issue remains superb and spectacular in condition, only some super brief nubbing to the bottom of spine.

The first modem age appearance of Morgan La Fey, the first Brothers Grimm, the first appearance of Siryn, and a cool Werewolf By Night Cameo among a whole bunch of other awesome occurrences, Marvels Spider-Woman volume 1 issues 2, 3, 19, 37 and 38, March of 1978 to June of 1981, Chris Claremont, Dave Cockrum, Carmine Infantino and many many other greats work included. All five issues remain fabulous with only a moment or two of super brief edge wear.

A gigantic amount of the Golden Age super hero squad standing proud here, five different and huge trade paperbacks: DC’s JSA Black Vengeance 2006, JSA The Return Of Hawkman 2002, JSA Ghost Stories 2006, JSA Darkness Fall 2002, and The Justice Society Returns 2003, all first printings. All in great like-new shape, one minor blemish being a brief bit of warping to the back bottom corner tips of Society Returns.

Pondering the complex possibilities with a "what if…" A wondrous grouping of Marvels What If beginning with the What If Classic Volume 3 first printing 2006 TPB, then What If Volume 1 issues 4, 9, 29 the Gil Kane, Jack Kirby and Rich Buckler covers, then What If Volume 2 issues 2 and 4 the Kieth Pollard DD and Al Milgrom Symbiote covers. Great and excellent conditions, outstanding covers and inner pages, only a few brief dots of print rubbing and faint moments of edge wear, bent bottom corner tip to backing of issue 4.

A beautiful, captivating and classic John Byrne cover for this wall-crawler gem — Marvels Spectacular Spider-Man volume 1 issue 101 from April of 1985, "Echoes," the first appearances of Ed and Sue Palmer as Peter deals with a deadly Backlash. Awesomely sharp, clean and concise, only a tiny tiny tinge of browning to the cover, excellent everywhere.

The special double-sized anniversary issue by Perez and company that accumulated a lot of controversy for its, let’s say problematic and slightly disturbing, showcasing of Ms. Marvel’s pregnancy so much so she’d be taken out of comics for an entire year, Marvels Avengers volume 1 issue 200 from October of 1980, "The Child Is Father To…?" Slight nubbing to bottom of spine, minor print rubbing and brief creasing to spine and top right corner.

It’s clobberin’ time, the first appearance of Impossible Woman, first appearance of Her, first Anaconda, Death Adder, Black Mamba and Sidewinder to these George Perez gems, Marvels Two-In-One volume 1 issues 60, 61, 62, 63 and 64 from February to June of 1980. All five books are sensational in shape, great comers and edges, off-white and concise inners.

The amazing Alex Toth collected works with this wondrous lot, beginning with IDW’s Bravo For Adventure hardcover from 2015 compiled by the legend’s family and friends in his memory, then Auad Publishing’s Alex Toth Black and White with intro by Jim Warren first edition from 1999, finishing with a bang with Pure Imaginations’ Alex Toth Reader Volume 2 from 2005. The hardcover and Reader V2 are in outstanding like-new condition, Black and White has some slight waving and some brief warping to the opening edge of cover.

A gigantic amount covering the extraordinary escapades of the galaxy’s more excellent super hero team, Marvel Masterworks The Avengers Volumes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, all sealed and new, clean and sharp in their shrink wrapping, basically untouched and unopened, too many marvelous artists, writers and important moments these tomes cover. One tiny perforation to the plastic on spine for Volume 6, a few tiny holes to the plastic to the bottom of Volume 11.

The tremendous thunder god of Asgardian legend, ten samplings of stupendous magnitude against the evil likes of Loki, Firelord, Hela, and several other defiant and diabolical entities — Marvels Thor volume 1 ten issues: number 189, 190, 191, 192, 194, 206, 213, 232, 261 and 262, June of 1971 to August of 1977. A chipped tip to the top corner of issue 213, some minor spine wear and numbing to issue 206, ink staining to the top of 192, some brief waving tot hr bottom corner of issue 261, a diagonal crease to the backing of 189, some chipping and wear to the backing of issue 213, everywhere else is mostly very nice clean and sharp, typically white backings and concise inners.

Amazing Spider-Man number 74 is a notable issue from the Silver Age of comics, featuring the creative talents of writer Stan Lee and artists John Romita Sr. and Jim Mooney, the treacherous antagonist Silvermane forces Curt Connors (also known as the Lizard) to help decipher the tablet’s secrets, a significant event in this issue is Silvermane’s transformation after ingesting a potion derived from the tablet, which unexpectedly reverses his aging process, Marvels Amazing Spider-Man number 74 from July of 1969. Some super slight wear to the spine, faint bit of browning to the bottom edge, a few brief print rubbing makrks to the nice backing, concise, even and sharp inners.

"United We Fall!" Showcases stunner moments and spectacular action but most notable of course is the first cameo appearance of Huntress aka Helena Wayne, DC’s All Star Comics volume 1 issue number 69 from December of 1977, the JSA return from their mission with the Justice League only to find GCPD Commissioner Bruce Wayne ordering their arrest, and five of their teammates there to enforce it. The briefest bit of wear to the top left corner tip to back of book, a true beauty this copy is, very shape and nice.

Soon after to become a deadly thorn in the sides of Wolverine and the Mutants, but Harada swung his sharp sword against Matt Murdock here, the first appearance of Silver Samurai in Marvels Daredevil volume 1 issue number 111 from July of 1974. Mile-high mayhem but marvelous in condition, just a truly beautiful copy, white back cover, concise clean inner pages, excellent cover.

Dick Giordano and Sal Trapani to this monumental moment in comics, the first U.S appearance of Dr. Who, Dell Movie Classics Dr. Who And The Daleks one-shot from December of 1966, Dr. Who would obviously go on to become a powerhouse property spanning comics, television shows, toys, you name it. Superb inner pages, great edges and corners to the backing, some spine creasing and wear to the cover, faint wear to a few edges.

Cary Bates and Curt Swan to their Kal-El feature, then Neal Adams, Curt Swan and Martin Pasko to theirs, a double dose of Kryptonite — DC’s Superman volume 1 issues 300 from June of 1976, Superman number 317 from November of 1977, a truly iconic NA cover. Both issues very clean and sharp, super faint wear to the bottom edge of issue 317 on cover.

A jump and uppercut in this lot but would you expect anything less from the power wielding hands of Danny Rand? Marvels Iron Fist volume 1 issues 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 spanning April to November of 1976, John Byrne, Chris Claremont, Gil Kane, Al Milgrom, it’s a dizzying roster of greats, many minor first appearances included here, in particular the Byrne cover to issue 8 is a stunner. VF- to Fine+ copies, mostly very nice inner pages and white sharp back covers.

From the mind of creator Mark Schultz and with introduction by Craig Elliott, Xenozoic combines lush and richly realized ink-and-brush artwork with a pulp-fueled narrative to create an action-packed fantasy?an unrelenting adventure that also serves as a subtle cautionary fable concerning the unforeseen consequences that shortsighted present-day decisions might have upon future generations, just superb. Flesk’s Xenozoic By Mark Schultz from August of 2013. A beauty for sure, but not only imagery wise, also sharp in shape, slight dust to dust here and there, super faint wear to the bottom edge of cover.

Easily one the greatest artists in comic history, the amount of detail and depth in the legend’s shading is nothing short of remarkable — here we have a several times signed and hand numbered Creatures Featured: The Fantastic Creations of Bernie Wrightson sketchbook numbered 238 of 500, a very limited edition, and included is a separate also signed print, both from April of 2000. As you can tell in the photos, practically new, clean and sharp and superb, what a treasure.

It begins with the incredible Neal Adams cover for the second issue to the series and only gets darker and more delightful as you dive into the deadly swamp with Frank Brunner covers, stunner work from Jim Mooney, Don Heck and other greats, Marvels Adventure Into Fear numbers 11 through 18, 8 straight issues, December of 1972 to November of 1973, issue 11 is the first appearance of Nexus and Jennifer Kale, many many more minor firsts. A few vey faint creases, very minor spots of wear and nubbing, mostly VG+ Fine- copies, great backings and inners.

The first all-new Dreadstar adventure in thirty years, DREADSTAR RETURNS in Vanth Dreadstar's most cosmic, and personal, adventure ever in this all-new, over-sized 100-page hardcover written and illustrated by series creator and comic book legend Jim Starlin, autographed by the legend himself and cohort Jaime Jameson, over a hundred pages of dazzling imagery in this hardcover released in crowdfunded only format from 2021. Slight dust but like-new and beautiful.

A tremendous noir tome, the terrific text and 375-plus color illustrations afford a look at pop culture and how it integrated this genre through the dime novel, pulp fiction magazines, and radio, TV, and movies, Collector’s Press’ Art Fiction Series The History Of Mystery by Max Allan Collins hardcover from 2001 and almost two hundred pages, still sealed in plastic with one small perforation to bottom right corner area, slight dust.

Extraordinary illustrations from Creepy Conan artist Esteban Maroto and showcased in haunting black and white over 30 years ago, these comics are re-presented in a new edition, adapting three of H.P. Lovecraft's most famous stories involving the Cthulhu Mythos, IDW’s Lovecraft The Myth Of Cthulhu hardcover from March of 2018. No dust, no dings, no damages.

Four fabulous examples of DC, each with their own important and outstanding factor. First, a dazzling M.W. Kaluta/Nick Cardy cover, then the first appearance and origin of Dr.Phosphorus, the landmark Joker first Clown Fish issue, then the first ever Detective Harvey Bullock star studded feature — DC Detective Comics volume 1 issues 429, 469, 475 and 441 with a DC time span of November of 1972 to February of 1978, many other firsts. All four bat books remain terrific and clean, super duper minor creases to the spine if at all, great covers, great back covers, frontispieces and inner pages.

Gargantuan and glorious, a giant span of one of DC’s top five flagship series, twenty one (21) issues included in this treasure trove — DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 numbers: 318, 319, 331, 333, 336, 338, 339, 340, 341, 342, 343, 344, 347, 353, 359, 360, 366, 367, 368, 369, and 370, with a giant time span of March of 1964 to July of 1968. Too many firsts and important occurrences to name, but here’s a few: first Legion Of Super Villains, second ever Starfinger, first Duo Damsel, the Death of Ferro Lad, first Dark Circle and many many more. Most of this issues range around a Fine- (a couple are VF, 353, 359, etc) a few are even sticker labeled as such, no major blemishes with any of these, minor moments of spine and perimeter wear, some surface scuffs, concise even inners.

The Sorcerer Supreme and the head of Shield join forces for this stellar period in this important and integral series — Marvel Strange Tales volume 1 issues 152, 153, 156, 160, 161, 163, 166, and 168, eight total issues with a few skips, January of 1967 to May of 1968, the first appearance of Zom, Jimmy Woo, Nebulos, and many others. Gorgeous glorious stuff from legends like Steranko, Dan Adkins, Marie Severin, Herb Trimpe and many more. Some spine wear and creasing, slight perimeter wear, issue 166 in particular is a very clean and sharp copy.

Ben Grimm teams up with the man without fear and then the super soldier with these two early and exciting escapades, Marvel Two-In-One volume 1 issues 3 and 4 from May and July of 1974, Sal Buscema and Gil Kane dazzling with the visuals. Some brief creasing to the spine on issue 4, very clean and sharp copies otherwise, great edges and back covers.

The indestructible Luke Cage Power Man pounces on numerous foes for these three early examples, Marvels Hero For Hire issues 3 and 10 from December of 1972 and June of 1973 respectively, then Power Man issue 17 from February of 1974 which is actually the first issue of the title switch in the series and first time Cage would be titled and referred to as Power Man (first Luke Cage as Power Man), many other firsts. A surface scuff and spine creasing to issue 17, similar wear around the staples to the two other issues, creasing to bottom right corner of issue 4, mostly good inner pages, some print rubbing to backings.

Collecting a great and awesome span of this series and a few other issues related, Gil Kane, Gerry Conway and company showcased with 3 hardcovers, Marvel Masterworks Marvel Team-Up Volumes 1, 2 and 3, all first printings 2010, Volume 1 is a rare raw copy without any plastic wrapping, the other two are shrink wrapped, all like-new however, Volume 1 will be bagged.

Practically every Claremont/Byrne/Austin issue is an incredible and important one and this one is of course no different, the first time "Uncanny" is used in the title, “Desolation” features also the first appearances of Nareel, Baron and Commander Collins, Marvels X-men volume 1 issue 114 from October of 1978, a beautiful and chilling cover from Byrne and Austin. This is quite frankly a breathtaking and superbly clean copy, truly stunning and sharp, what a gem.

The fabulous first appearance of Baron Blood, first Union Jack, First Lady J. Crichton, first Crimson Cavalier and first Freedom’s Five to this Vinnie Colletta, Roy Thomas, Jack Kirby and Frank Robbins gem, Marvels The Invaders volume 1 issue 7 from July of 1976, "The Blackout Murders Of Baron Blood!" Two super faint blemishes to this absolutely beautiful book: a really tiny and faded date stamp to the top of spine on the white and otherwise spotless back cover and a super tiny bit of nubbing to top and bottom of spine, a delightful copy indeed.

Boldly going where no comic has gone before, the beginning comic series and what a beauty this one is — Gold Key Star Trek number 5 from September of 1969, Kirk and Spock almost never looked so good with these photo covers. A slight bit of nubbing to the bottom right corner tip and a little spine creasing, otherwise this is an outstanding and extremely clean, sharp and nice copy, cream colored even inner pages.

What happens when six astronauts return to earth and find it ruled by vampires? Well, this Larry Hama, Pat Broderick limited 3 issue series is what, Atlas Comics Planet Of Vampires 1, 2 and 3 from February, April and July of 1975. Superb and sharp copies all three of them, outstanding covers, inners and backings.

"Warp speed, Mr.Sulu!" Another gem from the Starship Enterprise, Gold Key Star Trek issue number 9 from February of 1971, The Legacy Of Lazarus has the crew encountering George Washington and colonials in what is certainly a spectacle. Some brief spine creasing, but again, a very clean, smooth and sharp copy, white frontispiece and backing, even inners.

Katar and Shayera Hol in a huge way! DC’s Hawkman volume 1 and with a wonderful grouping of 9 issues from the beginning series, issues 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, and 26, almost a straight run with one skip and the second to last issue of the series included, January of 1967 to July of 1968, you gotta love what Gardner Fox and Murphy Anderson produced, definite DC magic which wasn’t appreciated enough in its time, the first appearances of Lion-Mane and several others. Majority of books remain VG+ if not better, some typical spine creasing, perimeter edge wear, issue 17 has some waving to the cover, issue 19 a loose bottom staple but the top is intact, mostly white and nice back covers with minimal print rubbing.

What collector could resist the first appearance of Spitfire and the iconic Giant-Size Robbins and Romita cover? Marvels The Invaders volume 1 issue 12 from January of 1977 and the Giant-Size number 1 from June of 1975, Sub-Mariner, Human Torch, Cap and Bucky to the rescue! Both issues are very nice, hardly a crease on either cover, white and sharp, a faint bit of nubbing to the bottom of spine on Giant Size, a brief bit of yellowing to the backings.

The world’s strangest heroes up against The Nightmare Maker in this early example of excellence, DC’s My Greatest Adventure number 81 from August of 1963, the beginning era of the Doom Patrol and with a second half feature from legend Alex Toth, what’s not to love. A little bit of browning to the inner pages but they are even sharp and concise, back cover has a pencil marking and tiny ink stain to bottom edge, cover has some print rubbing and minimal edge wear to perimeter, sticker labeled a VG.

During the legend John Byrne’s period with the super soldier he was surely conjuring a magic Cap fans were hungry for, Marvels Captain America volume 1 issues 251, 252, and 253 from November, December and January of 1980-81, Batroc the Leaper is in for a super serum pummeling. Once would have no worries saying these were VF+/NM issues, they’re gorgeous copies, can’t even spot a minor blemish.

Surely not everyone was Kung-Fu fighting but Shang-Chi certainly was, a treasure indeed is the first appearance of Shang-Chi The Master Of Kung Fu in Special Marvel Edition number 15 from December of 1973, the iron fisted first issue martial arts spectacular and the rest is history from legends Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin. Enough can’t be said. Sticker labeled a VG, I might personally say even a VG+ if not better, very faint creasing to spine, even sharp and concise inner pages. What a gem.

Your friendly neighborhood hero in an awesome way, "To Become An Avenger," “Turning Point,” and “Unmasked By Doc Ock,” Steve Ditko, Mike Esposito, John Romita and other legends to this landmark— Marvels Amazing Spider-Man King-Size Special number 3 from November of 1966. Spine creasing and minor print rubbing to the cover, a bit of nubbing to the bottom of spine, brief print rubbing to back cover, truly excellent and even inner pages.

I’ve personally never seen a copy of TBATB as clean and sharp as this, to the point where I almost didn’t believe it wasn’t a reprint, but legit it is and lovely. DC’s The Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue 64 from March of 1966, the caped crusader versus Eclipso, a gorgeous Gil Kane cover to complement the first appearance of Queen Bee. Take a look at how gorgeous this book is.

The first appearance of Frankie Ray as the stellar space soldier Nova as he becomes the new Herald of the planet devouring Galactus, "Beginnings and Endings," Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue 244 from July of 1982, yet another John Byrne gem. A gem copy, only faint tiny creases to the spine.

Boston Brand burrows into the darkness with two consecutive and captivating escapades with two treasured Neal Adams covers, DC’s Strange Adventures numbers 215 and 216 from December of 1968 and February of 1969, issue 215 is the first appearance of the Society Of Assassins and first Sensei whom later becomes Ra’s Al Ghul’s second in command, also Hook’s death. Some slight spine creasing to issue 216, issue 215 lesser so, both very nice, great inner pages, brief print rubbing to a spot or two.

The Super Soldier as an athletic instructor in "Crack-Up On Campus," Marvels Captain America volume 1 issue 120 from December of 1969, a bonafide Gene Colan gem with the first appearances of Agents R-1 and R-2 and Prof. Fosgrave. White spotless frontispiece, even concise inner pages, white sharp backing, great cover with a tiny bit of creases to the corner box.

The mutant squad back at it in "First Blood," the first appearance of The Brood and The Brood Queen to this Claremont/Cockrum landmark, Marvels Uncanny X-men number 155 from March of 1982. A refreshingly fabulous copy, clean and sharp everywhere.

Can Deadman and the caped crusader team up to thwart The Hook? DC’s The Brave And The Bold number 79 from September of 1968, "The Track Of The Hook," the first time Deadman appears outside of a Strange Adv series and the first time Neal Adams provides the interior artwork for a story featuring Batman. Before this, Adams drew a handful of Batman and Detective Comics covers with Batman but not interior pencils or inks. A beautiful cover, only some minor chipping to bottom center edge, a faint bit of print rubbing to back cover, excellent inner pages.

The first appearance of the ominous Air-Walker in Marvel’s Fantastic Four volume 1 issue number 120 from March of 1972, "The Horror That Walks On Air!" This would be a blemish free cover if not for a brief bit of ink staining to the corner box and a tiny bit of bottom edge wear, also ink staining to bottom edges of some inners and back cover in a few spots

The first appearance of Warpath in his awesome costume, first Hellions and Anjelica Jones Firestar in this fantastic fable, Marvels Uncanny X-men volume 1 issue number 193 from May of 1985, Claremont and John Romita Jr showcasing the mutants marvelously, whilst Rachel Summers joins the squad. A superb blemish free condition for this double sized epic, clean and sharp throughout.

Peak 70’s superhero team zaniness and adventure indeed, three examples of just that — Marvels The Defenders Giant-Size numbers 1 and 2 from July and October of 1974 respectively plus Defenders King-Size Annual number 1 from 1976, a legends line-up of artists included. All three books are very very nice with only minor moments of wear to a few corner tips, some brief wear and print rubbing to the backing of Giant Size 2.

Remarkable and radical, Professor X’s other mutant team begins here but in a giant and glorious way — Chris Claremont’s The New Mutants lot stuns here with 48 items in total, Cannonball, Sunspot, Wolfsbane and the rest of the squad showcased with 47 issues and one TPB: Marvel New Mutants Classic Volume 3 first printing 2008, then New Mutants issues 2 all the way through 50 however it is missing and does not include issue 1, 5, 6, 11, 12, and 39, those six issues are absent, but it does include the New Mutants Annual numbers 1 and 2, and The New Mutants Special Edition number 1 from December of 1985 which includes the first appearance of Brightwind and Hrimhari, the Annual number 2 includes the second appearance of Psylocke and first Megan Braddock. A stellar run of course of outstanding fan-favorite artist and painter Bill Sienkiewicz’s dazzling cover work as well. As you can tell from the many many photos, this issues are all VF/NM copies with hardly even a single crease to any of them, they came from the same pristine short box which was most likely hardly ever touched. Talk about a treasure, you hardly see something as mutantly marvelous as this!

It’s D-Day for Dum Dum Dugan in this bullet blitzed paratrooper super feature, Marvels Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos volume 1 issue number 59 from October of 1968, gotta love that Dick Ayers / John Severin cover. White inner pages that are even, concise and sharp with no chips or damages, off-white and nice back cover, outstanding cover with only a faint hint of wear to the bottom left corner. Labeled "pretty" to the back of board.

The Inhumans Queen Medusa encounters a threat with the FF, the first appearance of ferocious and powerful femme Thundra, plus the first Pinyon, Avius and Flaidermaus in Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue 129 from December of 1972, John Buscema, Roy Thomas and Frank Giacoia working together during this tenure. Wonderful white back cover, concise and nice inner pages, great cover with only a brief bit of browning near the spine and one tiny crease to the top right corner tip.

The savage and early double sized Cimmerian feature from Sal Buscema, John and Marie Severin, BWS and Roy Thomas, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue 10 from October of 1971, the first appearance of the Bull Of Anu (Heaven). A chip to the bottom of spine on back cover, one tiny rip and some minor print rubbing, very nice inner pages, white frontispiece, cover has creased bunching to bottom right corner tip and some wear amongst the spiene,

The special knock down drag out one-shot battle between Marvels two powerful pummelers, Marvels Giant-Size Super-Stars number 1 from May of 1974, featuring the Rogue’s Gallery from Fantastic Four Annual number 1 but with new text. A super clean and blemish free cover, delightful inner pages and sharp white backing, a dazzler copy.

It’s an early Tigershark against Prince Namor in "And To The Vanquished — Death!" Roy Thomas, Dan Adkins and John Buscema to this Atlantis assault, Marvels Sub-Mariner volume 1 issue 6 from October of 1968. Some creasing to the spine on cover and right corners, a brief but of wear to the bottom edge, some foxing or browning to the top edge of back cover, mostly very good inner pages.

Watch the Legion members die?! Surely not so, DC’s Adventure Comics number 378 from March of 1969, the Fatal Five against five of the Legion for this Curt Swan covered Jim Shooter penciled story. Truly a beautiful and pretty much blemish free copy, this book is pristine, a faint bit of wear to the bottom edge, even concise inner pages, a white frontispiece and a few minor spots of print rubbing to the back cover.

A special spinoff of Tower's Thunder Agents books, as Lt. Davey Jones and hero-team Undersea defend the Earth's oceans from super-villainy, via Ray Bailey and D.J. Arneson Tower Comics Undersea Agent number 1 in the very short miniseries issue from January of 1966. Some slight surface rubbing to the top left edge area, tiny faint bit of nubbing to the bottom of spine, great cover otherwise, extremely concise and sharp inners and a white backing with only one minor faded stain to bottom corner.

The Phantom Stranger and Caped Crusader cross paths against a chaotic cause, DC’s The Brave And The Bold issue 89 from May of 1970, "Arise, Ye Ghosts Of Gotham," yet another stunner cover from Adams. A brief bit of print rubbing to the white and sharp back cover perimeter, a few super faint creases to the top staple and bottom right tip, and that’s all she wrote for even minor blemishes, what a beauty.

"One From Four Leaves Three" as Nega Man, Annihilus and Agatha Harkness assault the senses in this magical FF spectacle, Marvel Fantastic Four volume 1 issue 110 from May of 1971. Fabulous cover condition with a few faint tiny creases and some brief surface rubbing to its perimeter, excellent and clean inner pages white back cover has a minor amount of print rubbing toward spine.

Another beautiful BWS cover for this sword and sorcery epic — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue 5 from May of 1971, A few faint moments of wear to the spine, excellent and even inner pages, white frontispiece and back cover, a terrific copy.

Both of these are surefire beauties but more on that later, Nick Cardy cover pieces for early adventures of Aqualad, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl and Robin: DC’s Teen Titans volume 1 issues 24 and 31 from December of 1969 and February of 1970. Both with white and sharp back covers, hardly a single crease on cover for issue 24, issue 31 has a few super tiny ones to its spine, completely clean and sharp even inner pages for issue 31 similarly for 24 but two or three pages have a very tiny bottom corner chipped tip.

"The Price Of A Heart" sees the sensational second appearance of Scott Lang as Ant-Man and death of Darren Cross from tremendous team John Byrne/Dave Cockrum/Bob Layton/David Michelinie, Marvel Premiere volume 1 issue 48 from July of 1979. Two or three tiny creases to the spine but it’s a super nice one, awesome even and sharp cornered inner pages, white back cover.

Kirby, Sinnott and Lee delivering the FF fireworks for "Stranded In Sub-Atomica," Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue 76 from July of 1968, whilst Sue is on maternity leave and Galactus is desperate, ushers in the first appearance of The Indestructible One here. Slight surface wear to the bottom right corner and staples, sharp corners and edges aplenty to the inner pages, brief browning and print rubbing to the back cover.

Plucked from the deadly cybernetic beginnings in Astonishing Tales comes this proper pairing, Marvel Masterworks Deathlok The Demolisher Volume 1 still sealed in plastic hardcover, and Marvel Deathlok The Demolisher The Complete Collection TPB first printing from 2014. TPB is clean with damages or blemishes, no perforations to plastic for Masterworks.

Three hundred pages of taunts and haunts for this awesome lot, DC’s House Of Mystery volume 1 issues 226, 227 and 229 from September and November of 1975 and March of 1975, too many art greats to name but of course Bernie Wrightson and The Phantom Stranger makes a cameo appearance in issue 226. Normally you see a lot of typical wear with oversized book such as these but not the case here, white back covers and frontispieces, concise clean inner pages and actually very very nice covers.

A wicked wonderful Logan sample, Marvel Wolverine Origins number 1 Wizard World Philadelphia 2006 Exclusive Michael Turner Sketch Variant cover, Steve Dillon and Daniel Way handle the berserker barrage content inside. Superb and minty, no damage or blemishes to this Adamantium beauty.

Similarly marvelous as Murphy Anderson and Carmine Infantino team up for this epic that sees The Spectre and The Flash together, DC’s The Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue 72 from July of 1967. A few small pesky pen markings to the top right on title, one chip to center of right edge and a couple tiny creases to the spine, concise and clean inner pages no chips or dings, back cover has minor print rubbing to the perimeter.

"Supergirl’s Wedding Day" sees Curt Swan, George Klein, Jim Mooney and others to a Superman and Supergirl segment, DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue 307 from December of 1963. Truly amazing off-white, sharp and concise inner pages, white back cover with minimal print rubbing, excellent cover with faint creasing to the spine, a really nice copy.

In a league all its own (well perhaps Not Brand Echh, too) comes the first two steps to this blinkers title, DC’s Inferior Five volume 1 issues 1 and 2 from April and June of 1967, Merryman, White Feather, Dumb Bunny, The Blimp and Akwardman skipping and stumbling about. Many minor first appearances to issue 1, with Mike Esposito, Mike Sekowski and Henry Boltinoff handling the chuckles and chaos. Two terrific copies with white frontispieces and back covers, outstanding concise and clean inner pages, covers remain super nice with only a super tiny spot of wear to the bottom center edge on issue 1.

Five continuous, furious and furry footsteps in Hank McCoys beginnings as Beast, Marvels Amazing Adventures volume 1 issues 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 from July of 1972 to March of 1973, including the first appearance of The Griffin and origin of Beast, Jim Starlin, Roy Thomas, Gil Kane, Jim Mooney and a ton of other greats. Mostly very nice copies, blemishes are: a chip to top corner on cover for issue 16 and slight ink staining to bottom of book, that same ink staining to top left corner, backing and bottom of origin issue, faint tiny bit of inking to back of issue 15, elsewhere mostly great inners and white back covers, clean covers with minimal wear to edges.

The world’s strangest and most bizarre squad of heroes again, fabulous Freakdom for DC’s The Doom Patrol volume 1 issues 106, 107, 108 and 109 from September, November, December of 1966 and January of 1967, the origin of Negative Man, Beast Boy becomes Kid Disaster and other outlandish and outrageous happenings. The first two issues 106 and 106 are stickered VG- and the next two are easily even better (issue 108 in particular is super pretty and clean), issue 107 has a few tiny pen markings near the corner box a slightly worn back cover, a chip, some bottom of spine and scattered wear to the perimeter of 106, great inner pages for all four and white frontispeces and backings for 108 and 109.

A man-god is reborn in this remarkable lot of five stellar items — beginning with a still-sealed copy of Marvel Masterworks Warlock Volume 1 hardcover, then Marvel Warlock Volume 1 issues 7, 8, 9, and 10 from August and October of 1973, October and December of 1975, important appearances and occurrences? Plenty. The death of Counter-Earth’s Dr. Doom, the first Memorax, cameo first of The In-Betweener and third ever Gamora, origin of Magus, origin of Thanos, origin of Gamora, and first ever meeting between Thanos and Warlock. If that’s not a lot of awesome, well, I don’t know what to tell you. Hardcover is still sealed of course with no holes to plastic, all four issues are superb, the only even minor blemish being a few pen markings to the corner box for the special issue 9.

The first animated TT team feature with the first appearances of Jinx, Head Mistress and Locrix in Todd Nauck’s vision, DC Teen Titans Go! Volume 1 number 1 from January of 2004, of course the animated television show would help propel fan fare for this series and the squad in general. The only super tiny blemish being a very very small crease above the UPC barcode, sharp and clean everywhere.

One of the indestructible Luke Cage’s most powerful and reputable foes who’d go onto his own series soon after, the first appearance of Black Goliath in Marvels Power Man volume 1 issue 24 from April of 1975, "Among Us Walks…Black Goliath." Super concise and even inner pages, white and sharp back cover, main cover only has two tiny moments of wear: slight creases around the staples and a very small surface scuff to bottom right edge.

Action in the mighty Marvel manner is right. Was glad to finally discover and unearth this landmark gem, the first appearance of Jamie Madrox The Mutiple Man (way before his fan-favorite inclusion to X-Factor) in Marvels Giant-Size Fantastic Four number 4 from February of 1975, three Kirby/Lee tales to this epic. What a delight of a copy it is, too; hardly any creases whatsoever to the cover, typical bumping from the staples on cover and backing which is typical and pretty much standard for most Giant and King-Sizes, inner pages are all off-white concise and even with no chipping or damages, white sharp frontispiece and back cover with only a teeny tiny bit of something to the center of opening edge, a sensational copy indeed.

Doctor Otto Octavius and Hammerhead giving Parker the rough about through numerous books plus who doesn’t love a Spider-Mobile destruction feature, Marvels Amazing Spider-Man volume 1 four consecutive issues 157, 158, 159, and 160 June through September of 1976. As you can see in the pics, these remain sharp, smooth, super clean copies all four of them, not a blemish to the concise and nice inner pages, white and sharp back covers with a possible faint moment of print rubbing if at all, awesome covers.

The stars his battleground the planets his obstacles, Captain Marvel in Marvel Spotlight number 1 from July of 1979, and The Life Of Captain Marvel number 1 from August of 1985, the full-sized Thanos back cover to the latter a delight. Both issues superb in condition, Life Of like-new with no minor blemishes and only brief tiny creases to spine on Spotlight On.

The beginning of the Kree/Skrull war with Captain Marvel in peril begins here, "The Only Good Alien" crafted by Sal Buscema and Roy Thomas, Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue 89 from June of 1971, brief cameo appearances of Ronan The Accuser and Supreme Intelligence. A super faint and faded stain to the top right corner of white and sharp back cover, all inner pages very nice and even, cover has an outstanding spine blemishes being one number stamp to the bottom right corner, tiny chipping to top right corner tip and diagonal crease to bottom right.

"The Frost Giant’s Daughter" and “The Sword And The Sorceress” the two tough tales to my persona, favorite BWS cover for the first volume, a truly beautiful thing is Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 16 from July of 1972, a murderer’s row of comic legends combine to create this issue that sees the Cimmerian encounter Man-Thing and Atali. A phenomenal cover, only the faintest wear to the bottom right edge, off-white, sharp and even inner pages and a nice backing.

If you want wonderful, wicked, wild and wondrous, look no further, The Higher United Nations Defense Enforcement Reserves with seven spectacular items included in this lovely lot, first, IDW’s Thunder Agents Classics Volume 1 and 2 trade paperbacks from then, Tower Comics Thunder Agents Volume 1 issues 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 from January to July of 1966, ask most comic historians and experts, Wallace Wood is undeniably one of the top ten most important and integral artists in comics and his work shines here. Three of the five issues are sticker labeled Fine (and I agree), the other two issues (2 and 4) have only brief wear to their spines, issue 2 has a pen marking to top of intro page and some minor print rubbing to back, both TPBs are like-new. A spectacular and gorgeous grouping any way you look at it!

If you know then you know and if you don’t I’m happily glad to tell you, "The Cradle Will Fall" sees the first ever Jim Lee work with the mutants and the supposed death of Storm, Lee would go on to become an important and integral part of X-men (I’ve personally met him at a Comic Con and thanked him for his work on this and Batman) humble brag aside, an awesome issue is Marvels Uncanny X-men number 248 from September of 1989. Hardly any even minor blemishes to this book, it’s a beauty.

Is this the. Signing of the end taunts Arnold Drake, Joe Orlando and Bruno Premiani in this bonafide landmark, the death of the team in DC’s Doom Patrol volume 1 issue number 121 from October of 1968, also the first appearance of Captain Zahl. Some brief faded creasing wear to the spine, bottom and right edge on cover, concise clean and sharp inners, backing has some brief browning to spine and a stain to left edge.

Taking a trip to Roosevelt Island for this action packed blitz, the first appearance of Punisher main villain Jigsaw happens here with Spidey and Nightcrawler entangled, Marvels Amazing Spider-Man volume 1 issue number 162 from November of 1976, "Let The Punisher Fit The Crime!" Ross Andru, Mike Esposito and Len Wein the masterminds behind this Frank Castle feature, also the first appearance of Doctor Marla Madison. Cover is beautiful and blemish free without even a single crease to the spine, white and sharp back cover, excellent and even inner pages.

Joe Sinnott, Steve Gerber and Jim Mooney amongst many greats who tried something slightly different and wild with this new title, the first appearances of James Michael Starling and the titular and powerful presence, Marvels Omega The Unknown volume 1 issues 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 with a time stamp of March of 1976 to January of 1977, Electro, Hulk and others make appearances as well. All six issues are clean, sharp, smooth and very delightful.

Something about John Buscema and Dick Giordano‘s art on this series was just so stunning and very vivid and it certainly helped capture fan’s attention, the origin of Carol Danvers as the titular and supremely powerful heroine Marvels Ms. Marvel volume 1 issues 2, 3, 4 and 5 from February to May of 1977. All four Marvels remain marvelous, only a faint moment of edge wear if at all, very outstanding and sharp copies.

Gorgeous George Tuska imagery througout this powerful series, the first appearance of Black Mariah, Jasper Brunt, Primus plus a few other lessers, Marvels Hero For Hire volume 1 issues 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 from December of 1972 to April of 1973. Mostly very nice issues,

A beautiful Bernie Wrightson cover and a dazzling Jim Starlin one in two different periods to this haunting series, DC’s House Of Secrets volume 1 issues 94 from November of 1971 and issue 150 from March of 1978. Both superb conditions, sharp edges and nice covers, even concise inner pages, the only even minor blemish is a chipping to the top back cover corner tip to issue 94.

Showcasing early samples of "the coolest hero in comics" (pause for laughter), two Giant-Size Harvey Thrillers Unearthly Spectacular number 2 and 3 from December of 1966 and March of 1967, Jack Frost icing the competition and villains, but you can’t argue with the creator lineup that is quite devastating: Gil Kane, Wallace Wood, Otto Binder, Joe Simon, Al Williamson, Mike Sekowski…it’s pretty crazy cool. White and sharp back covers (issue 2 has a slight brown boarder to its top), excellent and evenly sharp edged inner pages for both but issue 2 has a faint waving to its bottom corner tips, brief surface rubbing moments and a faded crease or two.

Ben Grimm against Bruce Banner yet again but this time with his first solo outing, Marvel Feature Volume 1 issue 11 from September of 1973, Thing replaces Ant-Man for a brief two issue stint starting with this landmark, Thing was actually Jack Kirby’s quiet tongue-in-cheek homage to himself. Awesome Jim Starlin artwork here, too. Cover has a minor bit of wear to the bottom left corner on cover, creating to spine and perimeter, some minor chipping, back cover has some scattered waving wear to the perimeter, inner pages have a few crease dents and two or three folded corner tips.

"An Ancient Glory" and “Echoes In A Forbidden World” the two terrorizing haunts for echoes of the spirit world, Charlton Ghost Manor volume 2 issues 15 and 16 from December of 1970 and January of 1971. A sharp white back cover for issue 16 while issue 15 is slightly less so, both have delightful even and concise inner pages, white and sharp covers with only a super faint touch of browning moments, F/VF copies.

"Cataclysm" and “Where Lurks Death…” the latter the first appear of the Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse, Marvels Giant-Size Fantastic Four numbers 2 and 3 from August and November of 1974. Issue 2 is particularly pretty and near pristine, a super sharp and clean white backing, excellent and even inner pages but there is one super tiny reoccurring and faint dent to the bottom edge of them, a brief tiny nubbing to the bottom of spine but cover is outstanding, issue 3 is similar, one tiny surface scuff to right edge area on cover, some print rubbing to back cover but fabulous inner pages.

Too many comic creator legends to name and even more villains and heroes to list, a gem softcover from Fireside and Marvel, The Incredible Hulk by Stan Lee first printing from July of 1978, collecting Incredible Hulk vol1 #3, Fantastic Four vol1 #12, Avengers vol 1 #3, and Tales to Astonish (1959) #60-75 and 88. A faint tiny bit of wear to the top left corner and bottom edge, very sharp and nice everywhere else. Smashing!

The first and only known appearance of The Master within not one but four different tales to this issue, DC’s The Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue 66 from July of 1966, with Mike Esposito, Bob Haney, Mike Esposito and Romana Fradon covering the Metal Men teaming up with Metamorpho. Slight creasing to the perimeter edges but very good, an off-white frontispiece and inner pages that are delightful, faint browning to perimeter of great back cover.

Tales of mystery, suspense and terror aplenty with this chilling lot, Gold Key Boris Karloff Tales Of Mystery Volume 1 a straight run of issues 7 to 12, 6 in total of course, from September of 1964 to December of 1965, Wallace Wood art and some George Wilson covers and painted pin up backs. Mostly VG+/Fine- copies, great edges and corners mostly, some slight spine creasing and a few nubbing moments, a brief print rubbing spot here and there.

Speaking of suspense, let’s throw some superhero action into the mix with four fabulous Steve Rogers and Tony Stark samples — Marvels Tales Of Suspense volume 1 issues 86, 89, 93, and 99 most issues span 1967, The bottom staple is detatched to issue 86 but the top is intact, one number stamp to its backing, slight creasing to its cover around perimeter, issue 89 has a great cover, very excellent inner pages and faint yellowing to its nice back cover, slight yellowing to the backing of issue 93, good inner pages and some browning to its frontispiece and cover has a faded crease down the center, great inners and covers to issue 99 and slight browning to back cover and frontispiece.

Hold onto your shoes and clothes, here comes a blazing blitzkrieg of awesome with an early Adam Warlock (not HIM) appearance, the first Pip The Troll, first Black Knights, Grak and a bunch more for Marvels Strange Tales volume 1 issue 179 from April of 1975, another sure-fire stellar spectacle from Jim Starlin. A few tiny faint creases to the spine, one to each right corner and a faint dent to bottom center edge, a white and sharp back cover with some brief waving, inner pages mostly great with a tinge of browning.

Ultra power against ultra power in both these fantastic features, Black Bolt and The Inhumans face Magnus himself, Magneto, in both three Gil Kane/Gerry Conway/John Buscema beauties — Marvels Amazing Adventures numbers 9 and 10 from November of 1971 and January of 1972, the first appearances of Randal, Trikon, Obar, Mooneye and a few others. Issue 10 was sticker labeled a VF++ (I concur), just some slight surface rubbing to the spine to a spot or two, issue 9 has similar minor surface rubbing, sharp edges and corners but a good deal of ink staining to the bottom and backing of book.

A must-have for any collector of vintage comic art, any Spidey fan or just lover of comic artists in general, Marvel Comics The Art Of John Romita hardcover first printing from 1996. This book is beautiful, condition and imagery wise, no blemishes. Not much else need be said.

Leave it to mastermind Chris Claremont for marvelous moments with the mutants, the first appearance of Majik’s Soul Sword, Rogue joins the X-men and leaves the Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants here with this gem, Marvels Uncanny X-men number 171 from July of 1983, "Rogue!" A superb copy, only even tiny blemish being a faint bit of nubbing to the top left corner tip. Beauty!

You can’t deny how spectacular and stupendous this lot is even if you tried, sensational stuff abounds — Marvels Sorcerer Supreme showcased here with ten samplings — two trade paperbacks in like-new pairing condition: Doctor Strange Strange Tales first printing from 2011 and Doctor Strange Versus Dracula The Montesi Formula first printing from 2006, then, from his first solo series Doctor Strange numbers 170, 171, 172, 176, 182 and 183 a Time Stone span of July of 1968 to November of 1969, finally Frank Brunner magic for Doctor Strange Volume 2 issues 2 and 3 from August and September of 1974. Whew. Honestly too many important occurrences and first appearance, but most importantly the first Nightmare, first Undying Ones, a whole bunch more. Conditions: minor moments of edge wear, a few issues labeled Fine, VG+ at worst,

Ol’ shellhead Tony Stark here with a terrific quadruple feature, Marvels Iron Man volume 1 issues 39, 40, 41 and 42 from July, August, September and October of 1971, the dynamic duo of Gerry Conway and George Tuska thrusting metallic magic into these pages aplenty, the first White Dragon, Commander Kreol, first Soulfather, Slasher and many other minor firsts. Very nice Fine- copies if not better at times, only some minor spine creasings, faint print rubbing to a few backings.

The courageous Carol Danvers gets her new Warbird costume for its first appearance and flies on, looking as devastating and cooler than she ever had with these four consecutive examples, Marvel Ms. Marvel volume 1 issues 20, 21, 22 and 23 from October of 1978 to April 1979, the final four issues to this series, also the first appearance of the Saurians, Khadar and a few other lessers, Dave Cockrum dazzling with the imagery. All four issues are Very Fine, clean and sharp everywhere.

"Only the Dead Know Brooklyn" Showcases the diablocial and deadly die-cut cover that was all the radical rage back in the day on its release for Punisher fans and also the first appearance of Thorn as Shotgun was lurking for Castle, Marvel The Punisher War Zone number 1 from March of 1992, then, The Punisher Invades The ‘Nam Final Invasion TOB with the wicked cool Joe Kubert cover first printing from February 1994. Both minty, clean sharp and smooth.

The six in the issue numbering isn’t the only thing in common with these three tremendous Tony Stark samples, all 3 are terrific battles that keep the Stark Industries action together, Marvel Iron Man volume 1 issues 56, 66 and 76, March of 1973, February of 1974 and July of 1975, Hulk versus IM, Thor versus IM, and the first appearance of Fangor the living Statue (and first ever Rasputin) versus IM. White shark backings and frontispieces, sharp concise inner pages, great covers, only issue 56 has some brief print rubbing and browning to backing and its spine.

A treasure trove of T’Challa you’re not gonna find anywhere else, fifteen (15) Marvel Black Panther trade paperbacks together: Black Panther Bad Mutha 2006 (doubles of this TPB), Storm from 2008 (chronicling her and BP’s relationship), X-men / Black Panther Wild Kingdom 2006, Black Panther Who Is The Black Panther 2006, Black Panther by Jack Kirby Volume 1 and 2 from 2005 and 2006, Marvel Knights Black Panther Enemy of The State 2001, Marvel Knights Black Panther The Client 2001, Black Panther Back To Africa 2008, Black Panther Little Green Men 2008, Black Panther Four The Hard Way 2007, Black Panther Civil War 2007, and finally two copies of Black Panther The Bride from 2007. All first printings and awesomely sharp and clean, like new, a possible faint warping but no damages.

The ferocious first appearance of titular titan Travis Morgan, first Deimos, Tara Morgan and Lost World Of Skartaris, the creation of outstanding legend Mike Grell — DC’s 1st Issue Special volume 1 issue 8 from November of 1975. Super faint creases to the spine and a tiny tad bit of wear to the bottom right edge, concise and clean inners, sharp white backing with a brief bit of waving to bottom edge.

Bullets, battles and beasts on the horizon, Charlton’s War Heroes number 10, Fightin’ Marines number 60, The Fightin’ Five number 29, and Gorgo number 20, all from 1964, gotta love those Dick Giordano covers for Fightin’ 5 and Gorgo, excellent Silver Age spectacles. Very very little creasing to covers if at all, mostly minor and faint perimeter wear, browning to frontispieces and backings that varies, mostly good inner pages.

The world’s strangest super heroes again but tag teamed with the Challengers of The Unknown in this Bob Brown, Arnold Drake, Bruno Premiani feature, DC’s The Doom Patrol volume 1 issue 102 from March of 1966, it’s "8 Against Eternity" and “Zombies Of Atlantis.” Mostly excellent off-white and concise inner pages but page 13 does have a folded bottom corner tiny tip, some print rubbing to back cover, brief surface scuffs and a bit of nubbing to bottom of spine on cover.

And now for something different, pucker up for four romance titles, Charlton’s Brides In Love number 43, Teen Age Love number 39, First Kiss number 39, all three of those from October of 1964, and I Love You number 69 from August of 1967. All four books actually have nice edges and corners aplenty, just some definite browning moments here and there to frontispieces and backings, a few tiny surface dings to Teen Age Love.

Four still sealed in plastic collector’s issues here, beginning with DC’s The Batman Adventures number 7 from April of 1993 with he trading card included inside, DC’s Static, Hardware, and Icon number 1 all with Skybox trading card and exclusive poster, all from 1993, all sealed, no punctures.

A cartoon comedy cavalcade for the ages, Hallden and Fawcett’s Dennis The Menace Triple Feature number 1 from winter of 1961 and Dennis The Menace number 58 from April of 1962, then, Archie Series’ Laugh number 144 from March of 1963 and Archie number 149 from September of 1964, Archie Giant Series Archie’s Pals ‘n Gals number 40 from June of 1967, Giant Harvey Sad Sack Laugh Special number 11 and 12 from January and April of 1962 with goofy George Baker cover pieces. All three Archies are mostly nice except a diagonal crease and folded corner tip to cover of Pals N Gals, perimeter wear and spine creasing to Sad Sack’s, bottom of spine nubbing to Dennis The Menace number 58 and faded marker to title, Dennis Triple Feature number 1 has two big chips and scattered creasing wear to perimeter, slight print rubbing to a few backings, typically even and good inner pages.

The first appearance of The Mandroids, the Skrull/Captain Marvel battle feature, the new Logo inclusion, and Goliath leaves the team plus tons of other awesome A team happenings here, Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issues 94, 95, 96, and 97 from December of 1971 to March of 1972, anytime you gather legends like Gil Kane, Bill Everett, Neal Adams, John Buscema and Roy Thomas it’s fireworks all the way. Issues 96 and 97 remain dangerously close to VF with only a tiny pen marking to back of 96, minor faded creases to the two other issues, slight print rubbing to back covers. A mighty nice grouping!

Let’s venture into Jack The King Kirby’s fabulous Fourth World, DC’s Forever People showcased with five issues here, numbers 2, 3, 5, 7 and 11, May of 1971 to November of 1972, practically every issue here has a few first appearances, most notable a cameo by Darkseid to issue 5, first Mantis, first Devilance The Pursuer and many others. Issue 11 is the finale of the series, that issue has minor chipping to its bottom on cover, but most issues have very nice edges and corners, a small surface scuff to left edge on issue 3, great back covers and inners mostly.

"Feed me, Seymour!" All three issues to complete this short but cool miniseries, Cosmic Comics’ Welcome To The Little Shop Of Horrors 1, 2 and 3 from May, June and July of 1995. All three are awesome clean and sharp with no damages or blemishes.

Part man, part elemental fury, all awesome — another Kirby passion project, DC’s The Demon volume 1 issues 2 through 5 creating a haunting chase through October of 1972 to January of 1973, Jason Blood encounters Merlin, Witches and creatures in numerous scenes as only Kirby could showcase movement and action. All four books are quite simply superb in condition, only some faint wear to the bottom edge of issue 2, a truly terrific shape for these.

Peter Parker has his webbed hands full with this fabulous fable foursome, during a dynamic period with creator team Ross Andru, Jim Mooney, Frank Giacoia and Len Wein for Marvels Amazing Spider-Man number 174, 175, 176 and 177, November of 1977 to February 1978, entangled webs with J. Jonah, Green Goblin and Mary Jane.

Shrinking in size but never with action and awesome adventure, the beginnings of the squad start here, Marvels Micronauts volume 1 issues 1, 2, 3 and 9 from January to September of 1979, issue one is of course the first appearance of the team, Dave Cockrum, Al Milgrom and many other greats collaborating, numerous other minor first appearances. All four issues in fabulous like-new conditions with hardly a single crease to any of them.

Keeping with the Kirby passion projects from the Fourth World, wonders and mysterious moments abound in the dream realm with DC’s The Sandman volume 1 issues 2, 3, 4 and 6 with a time through the hour glass span of May of 1975, only missing issues 1 and 5 to complete the miniseries of legend. Some faint print rubbing and creasing to the spines if at all, but truly terrific books here, white and sharp backings and frontispieces.

Standing on different sides of DC but equally dangerous and deadly, two firsts here, DC’s Deathstroke The Terminator number 1 from August of 1991, and Nightwing number 1 from October of 1996, marvelous story work when you have writer legends like Marv Wolfman and Chuck Dixon behind the pages. Both issues are clean, sharp, like-new and beautiful.

Xavier’s School Of Gifted Mutants in a magnificent way here with two hardcovers (one still-sealed), one TPB and 5 pristine issues, let’s begin with the wonders: a still-sealed hardcover of Marvel X-men Season One, Wizard X-men Masterpiece Edition Volume 1 2003, X-men Starjammers from Dave Cockrum and company TPB 2019, then X-men issues 112, 150, 152, 153, and 154 from August of 1978 to February of 1982. All the issues are some of the last from a minty and amazing box wherein every issue was superb in condition, hardly any wear to the other hardcovers and TPB, a dazzler of a lot.

Billy Zane it certainly is not, but phenomenal is this lot of Charlton’s The Phantom Volume 2 numbers 31 (the second issue to the series), 33, 36, 38, 46, 47, 53, 60 and issue 61, April of 1969 to September of 1974, the purple crusader with Jim Aparo astonishing art. Issues 36, 46, 53, 60, and 61 are VF and delightful, the others are also nice with minor moments of edge creasing and a spot of two of wear.

The Galaxy’s greatest super hero squad on the job with treasured creator team Mike Sekowski, Sid Greene and Gardner Fox behind the fantastic fables — DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issues 61, 62, 65 and 70 from March of 1968 to March of 1969, issue 70 is of course The Creeper feature. Some print rubbing to backings, a few creases to covers and one down the center on issue 65, minimal edge wear, great inner pages mostly.

The beastly Bruce Banner bringing the bludgeoning with two blows, Marvels Incredible Hulk volume 1 numbers 228 and 234 from October of 1978 and April of 1979,

The 20th anniversary and Marriage of Scott Summers and Madelyne Prior feature and the double sized "Trial Of Magneto" showcase issue which shows Professor X leaving the team as Magneto begins his leadership, Marvels Uncanny X-men volume 1 issues 175 and 200 from November of 1983 and December of 1985. Both issues dazzling and delightful with no major or minor blemishes except for one tiny pen marking to the top right corner of back cover on 175 and one folded corner tip near it.

Maximum effort! It’s time for tacos and bloodshed, easily the most popular comic book right now everyone’s trying to get their hands on, thanks in no small part to the highest grossing R rated movie ever, all fanboys know what it is…the first appearance of Wade Wilson aka Deadpool in this Rob Liefeld landmark, Marvels The New Mutants number 98 from February of 1991 and the rest is comic and pop culture history. Also the first appearance of Domino and Gideon, but overshadowed they are a bit much. Brilliant. Condition? Most undoubtedly a VF/NM, take a gander at the photos as this one is gorgeous; white even concise inner pages, white sharp backing, not a crease or single dent or ding to the cover, just amazing.
