The stock has very minor dings and dents, bright bore with sharp rifling. Stamp monogrammed inspector mark L.R.H. on leather carry strap that has wear and light brittle appearance but still pliable. Light surface discolorations on all metal components. Just over 49 inches in complete length. Bored holes in the stock suggest it once had an emblem or additional shoulder strapping. This is a most interesting Springfield trapdoor rifle, its breach block is marked: 1873. Stock imprint marked 1882. While the rod bayonet was not implemented until two years later in 1884. The rifle is in very nice condition with great amounts of the original finish remaining. The Trapdoor Springfield Rifle was the weapon used, in its Carbine form, by the Troopers of the 7th Cavalry that met their fate at the Battle of Little Big Horn in 1776. The Rod Bayonet model was introduced in 1884 so this rifle was returned to stores after 1884 and then updated to the then current issue specifications. This trapdoor rifle in 45-70 government caliber is marked Serial #311890. Has overall very good metal finish with all proofs still present. The serial number indicates that it was built at Springfield in 1882. The butt plate is marked U.S. and both barrel bands are "U" marked. The rifle features an excellent un-sanded stock. Center fire breechloader, .45 cal., two bands, two sling swivels, Buffington sight, and sliding ramrod bayonet. Lock is marked with an eagle and U.S. SPRINGFIELD manufactured by Springfield Armory, Springfield Massachusetts. In total the gun is 51.5 inches. Very clean, well kept. All appears original. Other marks of interest include inspectors’ and proof marks around the breech end of the barrel: a V over a P over an eagle’s head over another P on the left side just above the stock. The upper right corner of the Buffington sight leaf is marked R to indicate that the sight graduations are for a rifle and not a carbine.

In special festivals and processions, followers of Shango, the Yoruba god of thunder, carry dance wands, oshe shango, depicting a female devotee with Shango's symbol, the double-headed axe. Shango is thought to control the great powers of nature as one of the orisha, or gods. This one appears to be a vintage or late 19th, early 20th century original. Has natural pigment paint and an appealing aged/ worn aesthetic with a couple of chips that add to the charm. Stands 45 inches tall and 23 inches at widest point. A very light wood.

Weyersberg Kirschbaum Solingen Modelo Argentino 1909 bayonet in original scabbard with applied leather strap hold. What is special about this example is that the ARGENTINE CREST is still fully intact on the ricasso of the blade. The Coat of Arms of Argentina incorporates the Sun on the top, with a Phrygian Cap on a pole, and two hands clasped beneath it. These were ordered removed or defaced by Argentine Government order before Export so consequently those with crests are particularly RARE. There looks to have been no attempt to remove it, and the MODELO ARGENTINO 1909 marking is still intact and crisp. Underneath this is the serial number D1002. The other side of the ricasso bears the German Bayonet maker's name: WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CO. SOLINGEN. The blade has storing oils residue along with some dark spotting. Dark wood scales, one side has an area of damage/ hole as shown. White metal guard and ends have expected scratching. Slight blunting to the tip. Scabbard has expected wear and scratching with surface rust areas. Marked with matching serial number D1002. Leather strap hold is lightly brittled but moderately pliable with some verdigris on the buckles. Blade is 15.5 inches from guard. Complete in scabbard it’s 22 inches in length.

Fang style African wood carved masks. Both are painted with natural pigment. Both are 41 inches in length. One has a crack that reached 3/4 of the way down the mask. Other one has a small split of wood missing from the very back edge as shown. Both have chipping paint aesthetic.

Copper and tinned copper antique middle eastern style Evers/ water/ tea/oil jugs. Both have unique tipped necks and attached toppers. Both are hand hammered and tooled. One has Arabic style impressed characters/ writing. Both are 16 inches tall. Very early but unsure on exact circa.

Civil War Springfield M-1863 Rifle Converted to M-1868 Trapdoor Rifle using ALLIN System in 1869. This is really a Peach! This rifle started out as a Civil War Springfield Rifle Musket, dated 1863, as indicated on the lock plate. There is also the "Spread Eagle" over U.S. marking, indicating military production. This particular rifle is technically a Model 1863, Type I, and originally did not have any band retaining springs. Originally, the trapdoor Springfields were created to convert Model 1863 Springfield rifled muskets to breech-loading rifles at a relatively low cost. This conversion consisted of replacing the percussion lock with the breech-loading trapdoor mechanism, and relining the barrels to convert them from .58 to .50 caliber. This proved problematic, because in the field, the lining tended to separate from the barrel. To correct this problem, the Model 1868 used a new barrel instead of relining the original older barrel. The new barrel was slightly shorter, 32.5 inches, compared to the 36.5-inch barrel used on the Model 1866. The shorter barrel was affixed using only two barrel bands, instead of the three used on the Model 1866. Since it lacked the middle barrel band, the sling was affixed to the upper barrel band instead. The Model 1868 also differed from previous models in that it used a separate Allin type receiver with the barrel attached to it. The Model 1868 was also the first trapdoor conversion to use the cartridge extractor covered by U.S. Patent No. 68,009, issued August 27, 1867 to W.H. & G.W. Miller. The Model 1868 had an overall length of 51?7/8 inches. Over 50,000 Model 1868 rifles were manufactured, chambered for the .50-70 450 cartridge. This model served as the basis for the definitive Model 1873 "Trapdoor Springfield" series of rifles in .45-70-405 caliber, which was adopted in 1873 as the standard military longarm of the United States armed forces for the next 20 years. This model is unique in the 'trapdoor' series by being marked with the actual year of manufacture (1868, 1869, or 1870) on the breech-block. The 1868 marking is extremely rare with probably no more than 150 so marked; about 16,000 were marked 1869 like this one, with the remaining 36,000 being stamped 1870. In fine condition, the lock is marked 1863 and an EAGLE over U.S. over SPRINGFIELD and the Breech Block is DATED 1869 with an Eagle head cartouche, indicating conversion in 1869. The barrel and receiver both bear serial number 14434 on the left hand side. In great condition this is a rare U.S. Military Rifle that led to the the legendary Model of 1873. Stock is in good condition with the expected dents and dings from age, as well as some gouges. The Metal components are in excellent condition. Bore shows clear lands and grooves, but does show some tiny spots of corrosion..51.5 inches in total length.

The Model 1860 Light Cavalry Saber (also known as the M1862 as this was when the first 800 were issued) is a long sword made of steel and brass, used by US cavalry from the American Civil War until the end of the Indian wars; some were still in use during the Spanish–American War. This was made and is marked for Emerson & Silver. Has a darkened curved steel blade, brass guards and hilt with a leather and brass rope wrap grip. Has an area of damage to leather as shown. Original scabbard included. Blade is 35 inches and measures 41.5 inches completed in scabbard. Expected dings and marks throughout.

Stunning antique middle eastern/ Egyptian hanging pierced brass and colored glass lantern. Pressed glass decorative and plain colored glass paneling. Interlocking wire wrap link and ball hanging chains with central top hook. Removable bottom finial cupping. Etched designing throughout. No internal mechanisms. Has a 33 inch total hang with chains. Turned wood folding legs stand and a tinned copper hammered/ tooled design tray depicting men in dress among animals in middle eastern style. The top tray is 27.26 inches across and completed on the stand the entirety of the table is 19.75 inches tall. One small hole in tray as shown. Holds an unfounded mark or signature. Unknown exact circa but appears early in technique. Tray has a hanging ring on the bottom.

This is an excellent 1887 production Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the "V/P/eagle head", with a "P" below the marking and an "A" on the top of the barrel. Serial #40433. The top of the breech block is marked "US/MODEL/1884". The lock is the correct, late three click tumbler version that is marked with the American Eagle and "U.S./ SPRINGFIELD". It is fitted with a two-piece trigger guard bow and plate; the buttplate is marked US, Has a long range Buffington rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation with a blade front sight. The stock is the correct full length version that is stamped with a boxed, script "SWP/1887" cartouche on the left wrist and a circled script behind trigger housing. The rifle is complete with an original rod and leather strap. Strap is lightly brittle. 52 inches in total length. Has expected dings, nicks and use wear to dark wood stock. Mostly clean bore with light rusting.

1854 PA Dutch Birth and Baptism Certificate for Taylor Peter Dech. Hanover Township in Lehigh County. Framed and matted it measures 24 x 20 inches. Has creasing and minor but expected age tear and wear from before framing.

2 early Paandaan or a KILDANIMIZ (Hamam bag). In the past, women who went to the hammam used to carry things like soap, tar, and kese. Hammered heavy tinned copper with made hinges and lock latches. Largest is 11 inches tall to handle and 11 inches wide. Smaller if the two does not have a latch. Might have had a seperate lock at one point. Unknown exact circa.

Rack numbered 1865 Ames Manufacturing Co. Calvary sword with original Scabbard. M1860 model. Inspector marked Andrew D. King. Rack numbered #259, meaning it was issued and used in documented battles. Wire wrapped grip has leather wear, blade has been sharpened and has expected stippling and darkening from use. Brass guard is fully tarnished. Scabbard is tarnished and has use denting. Blade is 33.5 to cut edge and in scabbard the sword is a total of 42.5 inches.

A unmarked but presumed Sterling/ silver small engraved canister with an Arabian scene. Does not react to a magnet and holds all properties of. 3 marked pieces are 1.61 OZT. If full genuine Sterling the canister is 4.52 OZT.

Footed box with inlaid mother of pearl and bone has a crack on the top. Measures 2.25 x 8 x 4.5 inches. All have wear.

Carving set in box, box is marked DOPPELGÄNGER REH SOLIGEN. Knife is 12.75 inches in length with stag handle and an etched blade reading E. KNECHT & Co. ROST FREI. Fork has stainless prongs and a stag handle and measures 11.25 inches in length. Both have only slight wear. Box has expected storage wear.

Ibis style bird stoneware jug. Painted. Paint peel areas. Measures 11.75 x 11 x 6 inches. Brass clad bird figure, resembles a crane. Stands 13.5 inches tall.

Smoothbore .69 caliber model 1822-28 musket appears to be converted from flintlock to percussion ignition 1836. The musket has a 42-inch long barrel held to the full-length stock by two bands and a front band/nose cap, each held in place by a spring clip on the obverse side. The barrel is marked V/P over the national eagle and dated 1836 on the tang. A lug for a socket bayonet is brazed on near the muzzle. An iron rammer is stored in the stock beneath the barrel. The trigger guard bow and the middle band have lugs for sling swivels, but the leather strap band is missing. Has expected moderate wear and dings to the dark wood stock. Metal pieces have darkening and tarnish from age and wear.

Very large light pottery/ clay vessel with unique matte pigmented paint. Stands 24 inches tall. Unmarked. Unknown origin.

Asked on the French M1822 this M1840 replaced the lighter and less efficient M1833 saber for dragoons. Standard configuration in 35.5 inch long blade. Brass hilt is complete and the wire wrapped leather grip is in great condition with only minor but expected wear. Blade is darkened and has been sharpened. Tip is blunted. Markings are legible beneath a dark tone. AMES CABOTVILLE 1849, and opposite US WD by sub- inspector William Dickerson. Scabbard has expected darkening and stippling. Complete in scabbard the sword is just under 43 inches.

Barrel is approximately 42 inches. 69 caliber round smooth barrel with stippling and surface rust. Dark chocolate brown patina on stock. Appears to be original ram rod placed under barrel stock. Has expected dings and dents in wood stock along with some small cracking along lock and percussion set. Approximately 57.5 inches in total length. Swivel rings but no leather strapping.

Argentinian Sable De Caballeria M1898 Calvary Sword, German Made By Weyersberg KirschBaum Soligen. Matching serial #535 on the blade, guard and scabbard. Crested guard with resinous handle has tarnish and age spotting. Scabbard had tarnish and age wear with color stripping toward the bottom. Blade is spotty with a semi blunted tip from use. Blade is close to 34 inches in length. In scabbard the entire sword is just under 41 inches.

Appears as a French M1866 Chassepot Sword Bayonet. Marker marked manufactured Impériale de St-Étienne and dated 1871 on back edge (spine) of blade. Brass hilt with a spring steel latching arrangement. The cross guard is iron and has a screw-type tightening arrangement on the muzzle-ring. The lower quillon is a hooked type. Scabbard is heavily worn. The blade is steel, single-edged, fullered on both sides, with a re-curved or "yataghan" shape. Blade with much wear, nicks, greying, and use. Blade length approximately 22.5 inches. Matching serial numbers on guard and scabbard 38407. 3 stamped inspection style marks on the curl of guard unidentified. 28 inches overall in scabbard.
