Outstanding, Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, better known throughout comic history as The Penguin makes his second Silver Age appearance here with this stunning and terrific Carmine Infantino, Joe Giella, Sheldon Moldoff morsel of magnificence, stunning imagery and colors about in DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 169 from February of 1965, "Partners In Plunder!" The cover is an absolute dazzler with not even a single ding or even any creases at all to the spine, backing has some very faded and slight foxing to the bottom edge and top of spine and inner pages are concise, clean and even, very nice copy.

What a wonderful gem. The first appearance of Captain America since 1954 and he’s teamed against one of the two oldest and original Marvel characters, The Human Torch, plus the first appearance of Victoria Bentley and an early Acrobat appearance as he impersonates Steve Rogers, all with astonishing work via Jack The King Kirby and his compadre Dick Ayers — Marvels Strange Tales volume 1 issue number 114 from November of 1963, "The Human Torch Meets Captain America!" A sensational Steve Ditko segment for Doctor Strange to his half, "The Human Torch Meets... Captain America" was the winner of the Favorite Short Story Alley Award for 1963. Beautiful book is CGC graded a 6.0, off-white pages, slab is pristine.

Murphy Anderson, Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowski with another wonderful gem within the early lore of the world’s greatest super hero squad, DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 28 from June of 1964, The Case Of The Forbidden Super Powers" the first appearance of villain Headmaster Mind. A very nice white and sharp back cover with one faint and faded faint to the bottom left corner while the inner pages are mostly proper clean and evenly sharp, some chips to the bottom corner tippy tips, cover is truly excellent with a wonderful surface and spine and some chipping to the bottom right corner tip.

Landmark, lovely and spectacular— early FF’s are some of the most phenomenal and important books in comic history, arguably, and this one is a sure-fire stunner — the first appearance and origin of The Molecule Man, an early The Watcher appearance and a fan letter to the fan mail page from a certain future author by the name of George R.R. Martin, Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue number 20 from November of 1963. Off white to white pages, CGC graded a 7.0, slab and book are utterly beautiful.

Fresh off a fierce tussle with Adam Strange, the Tornado Tyrant recreates the super hero team and a more formidable version of himself in an attempt to test his ultimate might against replicants and dangers, DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 17 from February of 1963, "Triumph Of The Tornado Tyrant!" A nice cover to complement this compelling early JLA take, some chipping to the bottom right corner tip and some scattered and minor wear to the spine, staples and top edge, backing is off-white with one small chip to bottom corner and slight print rubbing to the spine, inner pages are mostly even but some varying chipping to most of the bottom corner tips.

The origin and first appearance of Bruno Horgan The Melter in this magnificent delight, Marvels Tales Of Suspense volume 1 issue number 47 from November of 1963, "The Mysterious Melter," an 18 page epic with work from legendary giants Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Don Heck and others. Off-white to white inner pages, CGC graded a 6.0, slab is pristine and book itself is a pretty one.

Such a spectacular cover from the marvelous Mike Sekowski for this JLA gem that showcases a smattering of clamoring and conspiring baddies against the super squad (including Joker) plus The Atom officially joining the team, "The Menace Of The Atom Bomb," DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 14 from September of 1962. Some minimal wear to the spine of the back cover with a chipped bottom corner tip, that some chipped tip echoes through to most if not all of the inner pages to varying levels while they do have even edges otherwise, there is a few pages toward the centerfold that have a faint line dent to the top of spine corner area, cover has some creases to the spine and staples and a few faint ones to the top right corner area, same chipping to the bottom right corner tip.

Wow, what an early and extraordinary super team example! An auction for the Justice League in fact, Superman and Batman may be absent from this treasure but that doesn’t take away from the terrific as treacherous Peter Rickets sells off Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman and the rest of the team to super criminals in "For Sale - The Justice League," DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 8 from January of 1962. Backing is very nice with some minor print rubbing to the spine and brief chipping to the bottom left corner tip, chipped tips to the bottom corners but besides that the inners have sharp edges and very few dings or blemishes at all, cover has that same chipped bottom corner tip, some faint creases to the spine and bottom, a few very faint and faded dings.

The phenomenal first appearance of Boris, the servant to Von Doom, Werner Von Doom, King Vladimir, Zefiro, The Monks Of Doom, Mount Doom, first appearance of Doom’s Castle and Latveria, plus the retelling of Doom’s first appearance in issue 5 in this tremendous treasure double sized and double the importance — Marvels Fantastic Four Annual number 2 from 1964, "Origin Of Doctor Doom!" Also included is a super cool FF villains gallery only to this gem. Some very very brief creases to the spine and one to the bottom right corner tip of cover, clean, concise and even off-white inners with a backing that is terrific, faint print rubbing to perimeter, a very delightful copy of this Landmark.

The man of steel in a monstrously massive way here with the first to this gigantic page packed series, DC’s 80 Page Giant volume 1 issue number 1 from August of 1964, including "If Superman had Turned to Crime," “If Superman Couldn't Save the World,” “If the Kent's had Adopted Supergirl,” and “If Superman Retired,” with countless creator legends’ work included inside.’ The condition this gem is in is amazing considering its size and age, the back cover is whit and fantastic with only faint waving to the spine, mostly marvelous and concise inner pages with excellent corners and the cover is Fine + with only some minimal wear to the spine, a really awesome copy indeed.

A captivating and super cool Curt Swan cover to this landmark treasure — the first Brainiac and Lex Luthor team-up, the first appearance of Brainiac II and origin, "The Team Of Luthor and Brainiac" via Curt Swan and Cary Bates, DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 167 from February of 1964. A supremely nice copy as the cover is white, sharp, clean and wonderful whilst the inner pages are mostly even and concise, back cover delightful with only faint print rubbing to the spine.

The 100th key issue with special anniversary features and fantastic and spectacular Smallville escapades and spectacles galore here, DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 100 from October of 1962, "Ma and Pa Kent’s Incredible Delusion." John Forte, George Klein, George Papp process some proper Krypton imagery and with a stunner anniversary cover via legend Curt Swan. Some faded dings and dents to the spine and lesser so to the perimeter of back cover, mostly concise and sharp inner pages with some chips to bottom corner tips, cover is terrific with some slight wear to the bottom of spine and around the staples.

"The Plight Of The Puppet-Flash" sees Abra Kadabra The evil Magician messing menacingly with the crimson speedster’s anatomy in awful ways, DC’s The Flash issue number 133 from December of 1962, some dazzling Carmine Infantino imagery and the first appearance of Mary West in the Kid Flash (Wally West) special feature segment. Mostly clean, sharp, even and off-white inner pages with very nice corners, back cover is very nice with only very faint creases to the spine and cover remains excellent with super brief wear to the spine bottom and bottom right corner tip, truly a sensational copy.

The temperature is certainly rising here with this marvelous Murphy Anderson, Carmine Infantino, Gardner Fox grab, the first appearance of Mick Rory aka Heat Wave here as he teams with Captain Cold: DC’s The Flash volume 1 issue number 140 from November of 1963, "The Heat Is On For Captain Cold!" Cover remains outstanding with a great surface and edges, one faded brief crease to the bottom right corner and faint ones to the spine, a sharp and nice backing with only minor print rubbing to the spine and the inner pages are mostly clean, consistent and concise with terrific corners and edges.

The first appearance of the Composite Superman in this Edward Hamilton / Curt Swan capture, DC’s World’s Finest Comics volume 1 issue number 142 from June of 1964, "The Origin Of The Composite Superman!" The cover is tremendous with only a brief few faded dings in a few spots, excellent inner pages with only a few dings to their bottoms but even edges and the backing is white and sharp with a faint spot of print rubbing to bottom right corner.

You just gotta love a Murphy Anderson / Gil Kane early Atom cover piece, they’re magical; the rest of the JLA makes an appearance in this early exciting Ray Palmer production as he’s met the awful side of Doctor Light, DC’s The Atom issue number 8 from September of 1963, "The Lock-Up In The Lethal Lightbulb!" Cover is nice with some faint creasing to the spine and bottom right corner but one more moderate diagonal crease to the right middle, slight faint nub to top left corner tip of back cover and brief foxing to the perimeter but only faintly so at points, inner page corners and edges are mostly all even and concise with a few faded crease folds and a few dings.

Jimmy Olsen, Lana Lang, Lois Lane and even Krypto the super dog make appearances in this Metropolis morsel, "Superman's Kryptonese Curse", "The Menace Called It", and "When Jimmy Olsen Stole Krypto From Superman" DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 177 from May of 1965. A Fine and very nice backing with one faint and very faded stain spot and a tiny chip to the bottom left corner while the inner pages are mostly clean, even and concise with a few dings to bottoms, a truly spectacular cover condition that is sharp, smooth and clean, the faintest bit of print rubbing and wear to the bottom left corner edge.

The superest adventures of Supes’ girlfriend Lois Lane here in 80 lovely pages and several super segments, DC’s Lois Lane Annual Giant number 1 from Summer of 1962. Some considerable waving and wear to the spine of the back cover, one tiny tear to the top of spine of it as well, enter pages have some spots of print rubbing, but mostly excellent edges and great corners, even in concise usually, main cover has some creasing to the bottom and top right corners and the spine.

Literally seven separate Superboy segments of special adventures via the Super Youngster and some of his biggest and greatest spectacles throughout his early existence, Kal-El escapades galore in DC’s Superboy Annual number 1 from June of 1964, of course with another cover to this huge one-shot "Superboy’s Voyage To New Kypton." A folded bottom corner tip, a length wise faint crease and super brief foxing to the back cover, the last ten or so inner pages have a chipped bottom corner tip but the rest of them are even, sharp and concise everywhere else, cover is outstanding mostly but some wear to the bottom back of spine.

A beautiful Bob Brown cover working to this first appearance of "Multi- Woman, Queen Of Disaster" plus segment Beachhead USA — DC’s Challengers Of The Unknown volume 1 issue number 34 from November of 1963. Some slight wear around the staples, spine and bottom edge but cover remains very nice while the inner pages are typically even, concise and sharp with delightful corner tips, back cover is very nice with minimal foxing spots.

A superb and astonishingly good cover via the legend Dick Giordano for this terrific Charlton Strange Suspense Stories volume 1 issue number 61 from October of 1962, "From Out Of Time!" Some browning to the perimeter and small scuff to the bottom of spine of back cover while the inner pages have a few waving faint dents to the bottom corner but usually great edges, only faint and tiny creases to the spine and perimeter of cover.

The worlds smallest superhero but in a spectacular and gigantic way with this vivid and vibrant showcase against Chronosn via legends Gil Kane, Sid Greene and Gardner Fox — DC’s The Atom issue number 13 from July of 1964, "Weapon Watches Of The Tim-Wise Guy!" Mostly even and sharp edged inner pages with a few pages in the middle having a tiny chipped tip, cover is superb without a major blemish to mention and the backing is white and sharp with only faint spots of foxing.

A certain and crazy conundrum as Atom’s costume becomes sentient and evil, another marvelous morsel from the legendary team Gardner Fox, Sid Greene and Gil Kane: DC’s The Atom volume 1 issue number 14 from September of 1964, "Revolt Of The Atom’s Uniform!" Backing is white and sharp with only one minor rip to the bottom left corner, mostly concise, sharp and clean inner pages with one chip tiny tip to a single page to the back, cover is delightful and dazzling with very little concerns.

On a watery world known as Dimension Aqua, a criminal named Leron seizes control of the kingdom, deposing the reigning queen, Mera and she is exiled and flees to the Earth dimension where she enlists the aid of Aquaman and Aqualad, the first appearance of Mera who’d later become Aquawoman, a bonafide beauty Key issue for this series indeed, DC’s Aquaman volume 1 issue number 11 from October of 1963, "The Doom From Dimension Aqua!" A few very minor dings to the back cover but it remains very nice while the inner pages are similar, sharp, concise and clean with only a few dings to their bottoms and the cover is good but with scattered creasing wear to the spine, bottom and top edges.

Superboy and The Legion Of Super Heroes in this delight "The Menace Of Dream Girl," the first appearance of Dream Girl, first appearance of Ayla Ranzz as Light Lass and the first mention of the Time Trapper here in this landmark issue — DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 317 from February of 1964. In this issue Nura Nal (Dream Girl) joins the Legion because she has seen a vision of seven members of the team dying in an explosion. She manipulates them to get the seven kicked out of the Legion or suspended, thus saving their lives. When this is discovered they are reinstated and Dream Girl resigns. A slightly bent bottom corner tip to the inner pages that also occurs on the cover slightly, but mostly concise and sharp inners, backing has one minor rip to the left edge top and a few tiny dot marks but is nice and the cover has only some faint creases to the spine.

The first actual appearance of The Time Trapper here in this Key gem, Bouncing Boy (Chuck Taine) accidentally bounces into an experiment Element Lad is conducting, which alters the formula giving him his powers and making him slender. He feels he must resign but the Legion make him a member of the Legion Reserve, dazzling stuff from Otto Binder, John Forte, George Klein, Curt Swan and the rest of the terrific team — DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 321 from June of 1964. Two small dings to the top edge that echo through to the inner pages and cover plus some very brief scattered wear to the back cover, even and sharp concise inner pages otherwise with only some few dings to bottoms, two dings to bottom edge and edge wear to the top right corner edge of cover.

Ogden Whitney to the cool cover and Dick Beck, Chic Stone and other greats to the inner works of this weird wonder, American Comics Group’s Adventures Into The Unknown volume 1 issue number 144 from October of 1963, a stunning series that began in 1948 and ran well into 1967. A very nice and almost blemish free back cover while the inner pages have a few dings to their bottoms but remain mostly crisp, clean and sharp, cover is excellent with only minor edge wear to the right edge and bottom right corner tip.

Stories of Strange Adventure, suspense and spine-tingling developments in this early Silver Age spectacle, American Comics Group’s Forbidden Worlds volume 1 issue number 107 from October of 1962, with another outrageous cover from Ogden Whitney. Some serious chipping to the bottom right corner of book including the cover, creasing to the spine and top edge while the inner pages and backing are besides that bottom corner chipping.

Bruce Wayne himself makes an appearance in this DC delight taunting the secret identity discovery, "The End Of Superman’s Secret Identity," DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 313 from June of 1964. Chipping to the bottom right corner of issue to varying levels with the pages which is a shame because the inners and backing are mostly nice otherwise, besides that bottom corner chipping cover has very brief wear around the staples.

A captivating and courageous crew of super creators including the obviously incredible Curt Swan to this Supes specimen, DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 326 from July of 1965, "The Legion of Super-Creatures" and "The Secret of Supergirl's Suitor!" The first appearance of the Synthetic Man and an awesome cameo of Zor-El, as well. Cover is delightful with only the faintest edge wear to the bottom corner tips, some very brief dings to bottoms but inner pages are mostly sharp and nice, back cover grata itch some minor print rubbing around perimeter.

"Clark Kent In The Big House" shows the alter ego persona posing as a convicted criminal to learn where a prisoner stashed a million dollars in loot, only to find the prison warden and even his friends have turned against him, plus a womdeful Supergirl story to her half, DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 323 from April of 1965. Some minor browning to a few points of cover’s edges but mostly very nice, some slight print nubbing to the spine of great back cover and inner pages have brief browning and a few dings to bottoms but usually great corners and edges.

Clark Kent’s boss at the Daily Planet Perry White has a captivating confession to make in this mixed-up morsel of Super Metropolis moments, DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 302 from July of 1963, "The Amazing Confession Of Super-Perry White!" Comet’s first appearance as Professor Mysto in the sensational Supergirl saga, “The Day Super Horse Went Wild.” Mostly even and sharp inner pages however some bottom corner tips have chips, backing is white and mostly nice with a tiny bit of print rubbing, cover has a surface scuff to the bottom left corner and some brief spine creases.

"The Fantastic Secret Of Superbaby II" and “The Story Of Superman’s Experimental Robots,” a Curt Swan and George Klein delight (plus other outstanding greats who collaborated on this superb Super issue), DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 299 from April of 1963. Inner pages and back cover are nice besides the obvious bottom corner chipping to the entire book, cover has also some brief to the bottom edge.

The first appearance of The Black Flame and a diabolical and daunting appearance from General Zod to this courageous Super capture, DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 304 from September of 1963, "The Interplanetary Olympics" and “The Maid Of Menace!” Cover has a super faint and faded crease to the bottom right corner, one minor surface scuff above it and some very tiny and brief creases to the spine, mostly very nice and concise sharp inner pages while the back cover is great with minimal print rubbing to the spine.

A dangerous jewel substance Kryptonite has been discovered in this Supes’ gem, DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 310 from March of 1964, "Secret Of Kryptonite Six" and “Supergirl’s Rival Parents” both stories to this first appearance of Jewel Kryptonite via Curt Swan and Jim Mooney. One diagonal shading mark to the top right edge and one very faint crease diagonally and one to the bottom right corner tip of cover, super nice inner pages mostly with not many dings to their bottoms and backing is off-white with only some minimal foxing to the spine and great edges.

Almost undoubtedly one of the most iconic and important issues of this treasured and terrific series, "Crisis On Earth One," the utter gem that is the first Silver Age appearance of the Justice Society of America (Doctor Fate has always been my personal favorite), the first teamup between both JSA and JLA teams that would become an annual tradition of sorts and the first appearance of The Crime Champions in this Murphy Anderson, Mike Sekowski, Gardner Fox landmark — DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 21 from August of 1963. Some chipping to the bottom right edge of book and some very faint and brief creases to the spine of cover, besides the chipping the inners are mostly sharp, even and concise while the backing is off-white and nice otherwise with minor print rubbing to its spine.

Ramona Fradon and Charles Paris to the creative and captivating cover for the fantastic first step and beginning to Rex Mason’s own series, the Element Man begins with DC’s Metamorpho volume 1 issue number 1 from August of 1965, "Attack Of The Atomic Avenger!" Two small moments of chipping to the top of the spine, some minor creases to it as well for the cover that also has a few super faint surface dings and brief waving to bottom left corner, some minor wear and print rubbing to the back cover with one faded and small stain to its bottom left corner, mostly nice and sharp inner pages with a few of them having a slight faded and faint echo of that stain.

Batman and Robin help train Alpha, an artificial man created by Dr. Burgos, a scientist and when Alpha falls in love with Batwoman he uses the professor's ray device to boost his intellect and power, a measure that will result in his disintegration, plus a marvelous and awesome Joe Certa created Martian Manhunter segment in "Alias Scarface Scanlon," DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 307 from September of 1962, “Alpha The Experimental Man!” Some very faint shading to the top edge of cover and some super minimal wear to its spine, one minimal dent to the center bottom edge of inner pages but they remain very nice otherwise with even and sharp corners, back cover is good with only a few brief and minor dings.

A legendary cover from Mike Sekowski and Murphy Anderson (but aren’t they all?!) for this JLA gem, "Decoy Missions of The Justice League," Kanjar Ro throws down against the world’s greatest superheroes with Adam Strange not far from sight, DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 24 from December of 1963. A big chip to the bottom right corner and some faint creases to the cover’s spine, a super nice and sharp off-white backing which has one rip to bottom as well as the final page, and bottom corner tip of first half of inners has an echoing stain spot.

The great George Papp produces the framework for the all the inner imagery for this terrific three segmented issue, DC’s Superboy volume 1 number 122 from July of 1965, "The Jealous Clark Kent," “Clark Kent’s Butler,” and “The Fugitive Krypto!” Some minor moments of print rubbing dots and lines to perimeter of nice back cover, even and concise inner pages that are mostly clean and sharp with not many dings to them and the cover is fabulous.

Everyone from Jimmy Olsen to Lois Lane to Perry White to even Comet The Super Horse makes an appearance in this milestone moment, DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 300 from May of 1963, "Superman Under The Red Sun" and “Return Of The Super Horse,” all thanks to Curt Swan, Jim Mooney, Al Plastino and the rest of the show crew of creators. A delightful and almost blemish free back cover, even and concise inner pages mostly but a few bottom corners have an echo crease and one page has a folded tip crease, main cover is great with some minor wear around the staples.

Some thrills and crazy turns as Superman loses his powers and gives his to another "new Superman" (first appearance here) and adorns a new Former Superman costume in this one storied Curt Swan cover and inner imaged spectacular, DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 172 from October of 1964, “The New Superman!” Some surface print scuffs to the perimeter of cover and a slight warping near its spine, super sharp and outstanding inner pages with even edged and sharp corners mostly, not many dings to them, a white and almost blemish free back cover.

"Clark Kent's Incredible Delusion" plus Super-Mxyzptlk...Hero, the latter a story no fan probably expected to see, Al Plastino provides some vivid imagery and Curt Swan produces the typical tremendous cover for DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 174 from January of 1965. The cover and back cover are both truly terrific with hardly a blemish to both, inner pages are even clean and concise with the first few having a folded bottom corner tip.

Only published five times a year this insect hero spectacle, Archie and Radio Comics’ Adventures Of The Fly volume 1 issue number 28 from October of 1963, The Fly versus The Red Shark, this issue toward the end of the series before the titular character would become Fly Man. White and outstanding back cover with no major blemishes, inner pages are off- white and clean and sharp mostly but some of the first half of pages do have some slightly chipped bottom corner tips, cover is great with one tiny dot mark, some super faint edge wear to the right and chipping to the bottom corner tip.

The vengeance of The Element Man and the return of The Tom Thumb Blackhawk in this action packed noir adventure, DC’s Blackhawk volume 1 issue number 195 from April of 1964, legend Dick Dillin with some dynamite imagery to this issue. One chip and a dot scuff to the left edge of the sharp and white back cover and the inners are mostly awesome, crisp and sharp with a few dings to bottoms, despite a tiny dot hole to the bottom right corner and one tiny chip to the middle of right edge, cover is fabulous.

"The Nightmare Ordeal Of Superman" sees the instantly recognizable fate for Kal-El battling amidst a red sun planet where his powers have been depleted and diminished, DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 171 from August of 1964. Cover has only faint wear to the right edge but remains mostly fantastic, sharp, clean, concise inner pages and a superb back cover makes this a marvelous copy indeed.

"The Diamond of Deadly Dooms" sees the pint sized hero Ray Palmer against agonizing odds and adventures galore via legendary team Gil Kane, Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowski— DC’s The Atom volume 1 issue number 5 from March of 1963, the cover is such a stunner as typical for Kane and Anderson. Said cover has some slight creases to the spine but excellent otherwise, nice and sharp white backing with some faded and faint foxing to the spine and inner pages are mostly concise even and proper sharp.

"The Atom’s Phantom Double" and “The Seaman and The Spyglass” included in this radical Ray Palmer product, two terrific tales and an early appearance of Alpheus Hyatt and his Time Pool with DC’s The Atom issue number 9 from November of 1963. Truly marvelous clean and concise inner pages with very few dings to them, back cover has some super brief print rubbing to and a tiny chip to the top of the spine and cover is beautiful and clean.

Superboy, Mon-El, Saturn Girl, Sun Boy, Lightning Lass, Chameleon Boy and the rest of the Legion Of Super Heroes saves the day with this spectacular, Chameleon Boy's pet/companion Proty sacrifices himself to resurrect Lightning Lad (here in an early cameo appearance) and second appearance of Proty, DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 312 from September of 1963, "The Super Sacrifices Of The Legionnaires!" Cover is sensational with slight creases to the spine and top right corner tip, clean even and concise inner pages for the most part and the back cover is excellent with only minor faint print rubbing to spine.

Three proper George Papp spectacular segments within this Curt Swan covered gem, DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 115 from September of 1964, "The Atomic Superboy," “The Phantom Fugitive,” and “The Runaway Superboy,” sensational stuff as Lex Luthor is up to his usual trickery in this Smallville spectacle. Cover is outstanding besides the chipping to the bottom right corner of the book, similarly for inner pages and back cover.

Whole lotta lovely and landmark moments with this emerald Crusader masterpiece, "The Plot To Conquer The Universe" and “The Spies Who Owned Green Lantern”: the first appearance of Starlings, Betty Sloane, and the first Silver Age appearance (second overall) of Evil Star in this absolute Hal Jordan gem — DC’s Green Lantern volume 2 issue number 37 from June of 1965. Cover is truly a beauty, clean and sharp and in Fine shape, a sensational white and sharp back cover and equally excellent inner pages make this a proper copy.

Murphy Anderson, Gardner Fox and Carmine Infantino mastered crimson magic to make this one — the first appearance of Dexter Myles amidst a treacherous and tremendous appearance of The Elongated Man and The Pied Piper, DC’s The Flash volume 1 issue number 138 from August of 1963, "The Pied Piper’s Double Doom!" Cover is outstanding with only a few minor faint creases to the bottom right corner, a slight warping to the bottom corner tip but inner pages are all even clean and concise with great edges and the back cover is terrific with only a faint bit of faded foxing to the spine.

The first appearances of Katma Tui and Imi Kann with this wonderful emerald spectacle via legendary team Murphy Anderson/Sid Greene/Gil Kane: DC’s Green Lantern volume 2 issue number 30 from July of 1964, "The Tunnel Through Time" with pterodactyls and danger escaping into the modern realm. Back cover has super nice edges and corners with some very very faint foxing, mostly great edges to the inner pages with one faded faint stain to some bottoms, cover has some print rubbing to the entire surface and one faded white stain to top left of title.

Promoted as a startling three part noir novel for a comic and they sure weren’t far off, a staggering amount of creators’ work with this wonderful Gotham gem as Bats, Robin, Batgirl and Batwoman are up against evil aliens Karn and Zebo "Prisoner Of Three Worlds!" DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 153 from February of 1963, this is the first time in a Batman comic in which a single story is told in the entire issue. The story is divided in three chapters, taking the normal length of three different stories. Cover remains spectacular with only a few faint and faded creases to it, a folded chipped tip to the top left corner and one smaller chip to the same area of back cover, mostly nice and sharp inner pages.

"Formula For Doom," “False Face Society,” and “Memorial To An Astronaut,” included in this caped crusader capture, the first appearance of the False Face Society in their segment, Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff behind the Gotham gazes here, DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 152 from December of 1962. Some faint tiny creases to the spine and slight edge wear to the bottom of cover, mostly marvelous inner pages that are even and concise but two pages near the centerfold have a folded corner tip, a very nice back cover with some faint print rubbing to spine.

"The New Crimes Of The Mad Hatter" and “The Bat Mite Hero,” sees Dave Wood and Sheldon Moldoff mold magic for these two great Gotham tales, everybody loves a Bat Mite — DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 161 from February of 1964, some great scenes with the Batmobile and Whirly-Bat within. This is truly a terrific copy, the cover is super nice with only some faint creases to the spine, clean, even, sharp and concise inner pages almost completely and the back cover is wonderful white and sharp.

"Menace Of The Mammoth Robots" has Ross Andru and Mike Esposito conjuring up some spectacular steel scenery early in this sensational series, Tin Amazonians threaten Gold, Mercury, Iron and the rest of the Metal crew in DC’s Metal Men volume 1 issue number 5 from January of 1964. Some wear to the top edge of white and sharp back cover while the inner pages are mostly clean, even and concise but 5 or 6 pages toward the middle have a chipped top corner tip, a very nice cover with only faint wear to the spine and bottom left corner.

The emerald gladiator Hal Jordan again with the marvelous team of Murphy Anderson, John Broome and Gil Kane behind the pages properly with the first appearance and origin of Shark and Bill Bowery: DC’s Green Lantern volume 2 issue number 24 from October of 1963, "The Shark That Hunted Human Prey!" Very very delightful and sharp off-white inner pages almost completely, white back cover is superb as well with one faint crease dent vertically to the spine, cover is a dazzler also with only some minor wear around the staples, a really nice copy.

A whole lotta Bat-tastic with this landmark issue here: this gem marks the 25th anniversary of Batman’s first appearance with a new look and new costume with a new symbol change, plus the Flash’s Elongated Man spin-off joins the series here, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Barry Allen, Wally West with Ralph Dibny, "The Mystery Of The Menacing Mask" and “Ten Miles To Nowhere,” DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 327 from May of 1964. Mostly fantastic inner pages with a few minor chipped tips to a few pages and a few faint dings, back cover is white and nice with one tiny stain mark to the bottom staple area, a white and sharp cover with one faded dent vertically to the spine and a few faded dings.

Grab your lasso of truth and board your invisible plane as "The Academy Of Arch Villains" cruises this way with Ross Andru, Mike Esposito and Robert Kanigher behind the pages of DC’s Wonder Woman volume 1 issue number 141 from October of 1963, the first appearances of Fireworks Man and Mouse Man. Cover is very excellent with almost no worries, one faint crease to the bottom right corner tip, a white and superb backing with faint print rubbing to the spine and inner pages are almost all clean, sharp and even, intro page has faint wear to the bottom edge.

Two thrilling and tantalizing tales and then "The Doom Shadow" featuring Martian Manhunter: the Idol-Head of Diabolu brings two more monsters to challenge J'onn J'onzz and Zook: Aroo, who tries to ensure the coming of the second monster, and the Chulko, whose shadow can petrify anything it falls upon, DC’s House Of Mystery volume 1 issue number 146 from October of 1964. Even and concise inner pages with not many dings to them however there is a faded staining to the bottom of book and remains very faintly to back cover as well, backing is white and sharp otherwise, some minor wear to spine and bottom edge but cover is excellent.

Curt Swan and George Papp to these three terrific Smallville tales, DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 123 from September of 1965, "There Is No Superboy," “When Krypto Was Sold” (the first appearance of Krypto as Sport), and “The Curse Of The Superboy Mummy!” One faded and faint stain to the spine and very brief print rubbing to the back cover, chipping to the bottom right corner of book and inner pages, besides the chipped right corner bottom tip and some very faint nubbing to the top right corner, the rest remains great.

Swifty The Dog gives Superman’s best friend Krypto envy and jealousy in this Curt Swan, George Papp and Jerry Siegel delight, DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 109 from December of 1963, "The Super Youth Of Brozz," and “The Super Dog That Replaced Krypto!” Again, a chipping to the bottom right corner of entire book, which is unfortunate because the rest of it is mostly sharp, clean and nice, cover has that bottom corner chipping and faint right edge shading, nice inner pages that are sharp despite that bottom corner chipping and white and nice backing.

Otto Binder, Wayne Boring and a great bunch of other creator legends conspired to create the Petrified Superman in DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 352 from July of 1967, "The Victory Of Zha-Vam as the mighty mount olympus villain betters even Supes himself. Some substantial waving, wear and creasing throughout this issue, creasing to the spine and perimeter of cover, a detached centerfold with creasing and scattered dings to inner pages and back cover has print rubbing and a few minor stains.

A deeper dive into the Kent family with Jonathan and Martha, plus dinosaurs, asteroids and interstellar rocket ships with DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 109 from October of 1963, "The Kent’s First Super-Son" and “The Mystery Of Sorcery Boy.” Creasing to the spine and chipping to bottom right corner of cover and lesser so to the inner pages that have good edges otherwise, some brief print rubbing and nubbing to bottom of spine of back cover.

The second ever appearance of Lightning Lass in this metropolis morsel plus cool appearances from Krypto with the powerful pup’s story segment and Lana Lang with this outstanding one, DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 310 from July of 1963, George Klein and Curt Swan to the humorous yet awesome cover. Said cover is good with minor creases to the spine, mostly very nice and sharp inner pages with great edges and corners, very delightful white backing with super brief print rubbing to it.

Two special super segments with Superman and Supergirl as the latter meets Comet The Super Horse for the first time in this issue establishing a bond that would prevail in many an issue for ages after this, DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 292 from September of 1962, the second appearance of Comet. Cover remains very good with a nice spine and one slight ding to its bottom, some creases and bent tip to the bottom right corner, many of the inner pages have bent and bunched bottom corner tips, back cover is off-white and sharp with one crease bend to bottom corner.

Eight (thats 8) excellent and exciting stories packed into this gigantic and great Kal-El capture, DC’s Giant Superman Annual volume 1 issue number 7 from August of 1963 with appearances from Superboy, Batman, Black Knight and countless others galore, 80 pages of power and that iconic symbol. Some waving and wear to the spine of front and back cover, a few faint and small dings and creases to the cover as well with one small rip to right edge, mostly even and concise inner pages as there are a lot of them with not many dings to bottoms.

Another enourmous 80 page stuffed Man of Steel collection of stories with this big beauty, DC’s Giant Superman Annual volume 1 issue number 8 from January of 1964, this huge gem contains nine separate Supes stories, including the origin of Mr.Mxyzptlk and green and red Kryptonite. A fairly delightful cover with only some minor wear to the center of spine and right edge, white and sharp back cover with faint print rubbing and mostly even, clean and concise inner pages for the whole huge book.

Eight baffling adventures of the caped crusader and the boy wonder featuring some of their most thrilling cases and escapades throughout 80 pages of Detective Comics and Batman, DC’s Giant Batman Annual volume 1 issue number 6 from Winter of 1963 into 1964. Two or three chipped tips to bottom corners but the very many inner pages are mostly awesome, sharp and concise, nice cove with minor nubbing to bottom left corner and one faint crease to top left corner, one tiny chipped tip to bottom corner tip of back cover with some minimal print rubbing but it is very good.

Another staggering and glorious all-Star collection of Bat tales with this massive book, DC’s Giant Batman Annual volume 1 issue number 5 from the Summer of 1963, eight seperate segments including Zebra Batman, the Grown-Up Boy Wonder and many more. Some very slight warping and wear to the spine which is typical for huge issues like this, cover has a few faint dings and one minor surface scuff to 25 cent price type, mostly fabulous and concise inner pages which is great and back cover is white and sharp with a few surface scuffs.

The stupendous second step into the element man’s realm here, Charles Paris and Ramona Fradon created another equally awkward and awesome cover and framework for DC’s Metamorpho volume 1 issue number 2 from October of 1965, Rex Mason and his ever transforming body in "Terror From The Tellstar!" Cover is fantastic but with some chipping to the bottom corner tip that echoes to slightly varying levels with the inner pages and back cover has brief print rubbing and foxing spots with a folded corner.

A delightful dive into Smallville and the Fifth Dimension with this superb pair of super tales: "The Raid From the Phantom Zone" and “Krypto’s Catastrophe,” DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 114 from July of 1964, Plastino and Papp producing some proper powerful imagery to this issue. Cover has hardly a single crease at all to it but unfortunately book does have bottom right edge and corner chipping, beside that chipping rest of issue is nice.

The Boy of Steel takes a trip into the Kent Family tree plus a trip to the past, 800 years ago to be exact, two terrific Kryptonite gems in one issue here: DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 113 from June of 1964, "Dad Kent’s Boyhood," and “The Superboy Of 800 Years Ago!” A Fine copy this one is, a clean and sharp cover with only some super faint nubbing to right bottom corner tip and mostly marvelous inner pages with great edges but some chipped bottom corner tips to some and back cover is white and sharp with faint print rubbing to the spine.

Criminal scientist Professor Sardon duplicates Superboy's powers and infuses them in Pee Wee Ragan's body, but both crooks come to an unfortunate end, and then Lana Lang is influenced by a "hate flower" to use the magic power of an African "devil mask" against Superboy and the mask gives her the power to summon anyone from the past and make him or her do Lana's bidding for an hour, equally exciting events in DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 110 from January of 1964. A white and sharp back cover condition with minor wear to the bottom left corner tip, some bottom corner chipped tips but the inner pages remain mostly outstanding and the cover is fantastic with minor warping to the spine and a faint faded ding or two.

Three tremendous tales for metropolis morsel but most importantly the first appearance of Jonathan Kent as The Mental Emperor in that titled segment plus special appearances from many of the Legion and Bizarro — DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 111 from March of 1964. Some nubbing and chipped tips to a majority of inner pages and back and main cover tips, slight warping to the spine but cover is beautiful and cleanly sharp despite that warping and chipped tip, nice back cover.

Some strange events unfold as Clark Kent is turned into Metallo with a Kryptonite heart and Supergirl deals with the Lady Killer Kane and the case of the LL’s — DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 312 from May of 1964, Curt Swan and company with another captivating issue. Two chips to the opening edge of back cover, delightful inner pages for the most part with terrific corners and edges and cover is spectacular with minor nubbing to the bottom right corner tip.

Leo Dorfman and Jim Mooney teamed up for both tantalizing tales to this Kal-El treasure while Curt Swan created the epic cover as per usual, DC’s Action Comics volume 1 issue number 316 from September of 1964 sees Superman and Supergirl up against Slash Sabre and Zygor. If it weren’t for some chipping to the bottom right corner of this book it would almost undoubtedly be a Very Fine, clean, sharp, smooth and nice everywhere but to that chipped tip, a nice copy otherwise.

Legends Jim Shooter and of course Curt Swan dive into new terrific territory creating not one but four new characters to the super squad of the Legion Of Super Heroes, Karate Kid, Princess Projectra, Ferro Lad, and Nemesis Kid, all four first appearing here in DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 346 from July of 1966. Surprisingly nice inner pages with wonderful edges but some slight browning, back cover has a few faint dings and print rubbing to the perimeter and cover has warping, wear and creasing to the spine, some dings to bottom and perimeter.

A super cool and captivating cover via Curt Swan for this Kal-El book that is most notable for its tribute story to president John F. Kennedy after his unfortunate assassination, "Superman’s Mission For President Kennedy," and also included is "If Lex Luthor Were Superman’s Father," and “The Wedding Of Lara and Luthor,” DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 170 from July of 1964. Cover is easily Very Fine in condition, clean and sharp, even, mostly concise and nice, slight browning, delightful back cover with two faint dings and some super brief shading to the spine. A really nice book indeed.

Even a sentient chunk of Green Kryptonite gets a segment to itself in this super three tailed morsel that also features the first appearance of Vrangs and Val-Lor: DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 176 from April of 1965. A wonderful back cover as it remains white and sharp, mostly delightful off-white inner pages with great edges and cover is superb with only a slight warping to the spine with no creases to it and a few tiny line dings to the right area, really nice book here.

No cover or backing but this is still a beautiful Key and a definite dynamite landmark issue, Marvels Daredevil volume 1 issue number 2 from June of 1964, the second appearance of Matt Murdock The Man Without Fear aka titular character and the second appearance and origin of Electro, menace to DD, Spider-Man and countless other Marvel heroes. A few dings to some bottoms and brief browning but no major rips or tears or stains to these pages.

Such a super cool cover this one is. The tree amigos of awesome emerald crusader content, Gil Kane, Murphy Anderson and Gardner Fox showcase a sensational story with "Green Lantern’s Wedding Day" and “The Power Battery Peril,” DC’s Green Lantern volume 2 issue number 32 from October of 1964, solo first and only appearances of Louie Knox and Vant Orl. An inner page or two have a slightly uneven bottom edge but most of the inners are very nice, even and sharp, some brief foxing and print rubbing to the bottom of white and nice otherwise back cover with a faint bit of wear to the bottom left edge of it, cover is fantastic and clean with super brief wear to the top staple.

These early Carmine Infantino covers from this series are such stunners and this one is no different, DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 165 from August of 1964, Ed Herron and Gardner Fox behind the pages of this proper Bat noir, the second story of this issue is continued in the next Batman issue, making this the first Batman story to be featured in multiple issues. The first appearances of Patricia Powell and Lt. Bulldog Powell. Pages 3 and 4 have a tear to the left edge and there are a few marker dots to the first few pages, back cover has some slight browning and faint foxing to the perimeter but nice edges and corners, cover is tremendous and near blemish free.

Some truly adorable and awesome scenes and imagery in this incredible WW issue via Ross Andru and Mike Esposito, "Captives Of The Mirage World," DC’s Wonder Woman volume 1 issue number 142 from November of 1963, The Wonder Woman Family goes on a quest for a rare butterfly, only to find themselves the prey of a giant version of themselves from another world. Cover is excellent except for one stray crease to the top right corner into the logo, mostly outstanding inner pages with wonderful edges and even, backing is white and nice with minimal print rubbing to the spine.

The legendary Bob Kane to the bold and beautiful cover to this Gotham gem, DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 154 from March of 1963, three thrilling Bill Finger tales captured inside with villains The Great Kardo, Doctor Dorn and Big Al Finney making solo first appearances. Some brief surface rubbing to the center of spine, one crease to bottom left corner and a very faded and faint date stamping to above title on cover, mostly sensational inner pages with great edges and back cover has one minor rip to center of bottom edge and a chip to center of spine.

Carmine Infantino, Gardner Fox and John Broome bring beauty to the realm of the crimson speedster with two terrific tales: first, the Mirror Master is enrolled in the same motivational class as Barry Allen, and uses the life-lessons learned in it in the commission of his crimes, then during a time-trip to the far future of Earth, the Flash handles a liquid metallic substance which, when he returns to the present, gives his hands the touch of age — DC’s The Flash volume 1 issue number 146 from August of 1964, "The Mirror Master’s Master Stroke!" Some very brief specklings of print rubbing to the nice back cover while the inner pages are mostly proper concise and clean with a few dings to some bottoms, cover is fabulous with a minor nubbing to the top of spine and very very faint creases to it.

"The Secret Of The Impossible Perils," “Batman and Robin - Imposters,” and “Ace, The Super Bat Hound” complete this Gotham grab of action and noir adventure with the caped crusader and the boy wonder, DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 158 from September of 1963. An excellent cover with only a few faint spots of wear to it, a tiny chipping to bottom right corner, typically terrific inner pages with a few dings to bottoms and back cover is delightful and white with a super bored bit of print rubbing to the spine.

A visit to the Gotham State Penitentiary and Colorado for both of these vastly different yet dynamite stories inside this capture, Batman and Martian Manhunter together in one book: DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 306 from August of 1962, "The Wizard Of 1000 Menaces," and “The Last Days Of J’onn J’onzz, included is the first appearance of Professor Arnold Hugo. Some creasing to the spine, the perimeter and center of cover with a older top corner tip, mostly good and even inner pages however there remains one faded stain to the bottoms of some back inner pages, back cover is nice with faint spots of print rubbing and dots to the spine.

"The Batman Creature" and "Robin’s New Secret Identity" included within this wicked great Bruce Wayne yarn that even featured Ace The Bat-Hound — DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 162 from March of 1964, you gotta love a deep dive into the Batcave and images of the Whirly-Bat. Cover is beautiful and basically blemish-less, outstanding inner pages mostly with even edges and a few dings to some bottoms and the back cover is off-white and sharp.

Certainly a Key and Landmark issue for Gothamites here, the Death of trusted friend, father figure of sorts and friend Butler Alfred Pennyworth, the first appearance of The Wayne Foundation, a cameo appearance of Elizabeth Taylor plus a super cool Bob Kane Biography included — DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 328 from June of 1964, "Gotham Gang Line-Up!" A very nice and almost perfect white and sharp back cover with only a few faint faded dents, mostly fabulous inner pages with terrific edges but upside down pen signature marking to the second to last page, only a few tiny scuff spots to the cover but it is a beauty and fantastic.

"Two Way Gem Caper" and "Batman’s Great Face-Saving Feat?? are the two suspenseful and special stories included from Ed Herron and Sheldon Moldoff, the first appearance of the Mystery Analysts Of Gotham City and this is the first Batman issue to feature the New Look and new design: DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 164 from June of 1964. The new look for the series suits this issue as the cover is beautiful, clean and sharp, inner pages are almost completely concise, even and clean while the back cover is white and sharp as well with a faint bit of print rubbing to the bottom edge.

The marvelous Mike Esposito and Ross Andru lay some lovely art foundations for this Diana Prince versus the Duke Of Deception and Yellow Martians trick show, "Olympics Of The Doomed," DC’s Wonder Woman volume 1 issue number 148 from August of 1964. The vibrant colors on the cover pop with its great surface condition, some brief creases to the spine and one super faint one to the right edge, mostly even and nice inner pages while 2 or so pages to the back have a chipped bottom corner tip, back cover is white and sharp with one chip to the bottom corner edge.

Six suspenseful and thrilling tales included with this pairing of awkward aliens, Space Rangers, advanced weaponry and gigantic beastly insects and monsters, both with beautiful Bob Brown cover pieces: DC’s Tales Of The Unexpected volume 1 issues 79 and 81 from November of 1963 and March of 1964, two terrific time capsules from a DC series dedicated to the odd and mesmerizing. Both Bob Brown covers are supremely sharp and delightful without a major crease to either of them, two or three chipped corners to the bottoms tips of a few pages inside issue 79 but the inners for both are outstanding mostly, and backings are both white and sharp, slight chip to top left corner of 81.

Some suspenseful scenes in the Gotham City Museum and the Boy Wonder more than holds his own against foes in his solo segment, "Attack Of The Invisible Knights" and “Robin’s Unassisted Triple Play,” DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 172 from June of 1965, a wicked great cover from legend Carmine Infantino. Mostly marvelous and concise inner pages with proper edges and corners, back cover is white and sharp with minimal print rubbing to the spine, a vibrant cover condition with only a few faint creases and faded minor dings.

A truly magnificent Murphy Anderson cover beauty for this chivalrous and adventurous gem that includes two stories with the first one segmented into two chapters, Carmine Infantino and Gardner Fox with wondrous Atomic Knights scenes in "When The Earth Blacked Out" and “The Imaginary Dooms,” DC’s Strange Adventures volume 1 issue number 144 from September of 1962. Nice, even and crisp inner pages almost completely, delightful back cover with faint print rubbing at tiny spots and cover is excellent with minor creasing to the spine and slight wear to the staple areas.

Bats is transformed into a wish granting genie and Martian Manhunter has to menace with the treacherous and evil scientist Professor Arnold Hugo in this noir and adventure soaked escapade, DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 322 from December of 1963, "The Bizarre Batman Genie." A few brief and tiny scuffs to an area or two and super minor creases to the spine of nice cover while the inner pages are usually even, concise and sharp but a few inners toward the back do have a chipped tip, back cover is sharp with one tiny chip to the bottom corner and a pen marking near that area as well.

A dynamite cover from legend Dick Dillin as this three storied spectacle starts with "I Lived In Two Bodies": Explorer Cliff Battles saves the life of an old native and is given, in gratitude, the Golden Belt of Zantac, which enables him to split himself into two people-the only catch being, if he doesn't recombine before sundown, both of him will die, then two other freaky fables with imagery from Howard Purcell and Howard Sherman — DC’s Strange Adventures volume 1 issue number 166 from July of 1964. A very nice and sharp white backing with one care dent to the bottom left corner, inner pages are even and nice but a many of them do have chipped bottom corner tips, cover is excellent with a few tiny surface dings to the right edge area and some faint spine creasing.

Another Batman and Robin plus Martian Manhunter story teaming with this titanic tale of archeological adventure and robotic crime spree caper — DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 324 from February of 1964, "Menace Of The Robot Brain" and “The Beast Who Was J’onn J’onzz.” The cover’s edges are truly excellent for the most part and surface has a few faint spots of foxing, great corners and ends to the inner pages mostly whilst the back cover is white and delightful with one tiny chip to the bottom left corner edge.

"Secret Identities For Sale" and “Walk, Batman - To Your Doom” sees a stunner cover from Carmine Infantino with John Broome and Sheldon Moldoff to molding the marvelous inner imagery — DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 173 from August of 1965. A slight few brief creases to the spine and bottom right corner but cover remains very beautiful, inner pages mostly sharp and concise with even ends and good corners usually and back cover is white and wonderful with onion a faint bit of print rubbing.

A gargantuan grab of glory here, a giant amount of industry legends’ work captured and dozens of scenes of spectacular Batman and Superman accompanied antics and action aplenty with appearances from The Joker, Lex Luthor and so many others, most issues with a beautiful Dick Dillin or Sheldon Moldoff proper cover piece. A detour into the looney and funny with this first of a series, Harvey Comics’ Sad Sad Sack World volume 1 issue number 1 from October of 1964, the comic was published quarterly and was typically a Giant-Sized issue with 68 pages of cartoony chaos from the brain of creator George Baker. Some great corners and edges to the cover with some surface print rubbing to center bottom, mostly sharp and off-white inner pages with a few dings to bottoms and back cover is white and nice with faint waving and surface rubbings.

Ross Andru, Joe Kubert, Gene Colan, Mike Esposito and more magnificent legends collaborated on this captivating sea creation, DC’s Sea Devils volume 1 issue number 13 from October of 1963, and all those four named astonishing artists all make cameo appearances in their work here, Captain English and The Black Shark amidst Biff and the rest of the crew. Some slight warping and brief creasing to the spine of cover but the rest of this book is delightful and very sharp and clean, nice white backing and outstanding off-white and even inner pages.

Abra Kadabra and Barry Allen at battling ends with this crimson speedster specimen via Carmine Infantino, Joe Giella and John Broome, "The Flash Stakes His Life On You," a Broome story that has Flash fade from existence and comic-dom, plus segment “The Day Magic Exposed Flash’s Secret Identity.” Cover has serious creasing to its perimeter and surface, the inner pages have some slight browning and dings to bottoms and the centerfold is detached, back cover is off-white with minor wear to the perimeter.

The caped crusader must use his detective skills, cunning, strength and wits to break free and best two dangerous scenarios in this Bat morsel: DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 174 from September of 1965, "The Human Punching Bag" (written by Gardner Fox) and “The Off-Again On-Again Lightbulbs.” Condition of cover is terrific with slight creasing to the spine, mostly even and sharp inner pages with not many dings to their bottoms and back cover is nice with faint print rubbing to the perimeter.

Lee Elias and Bob Haney together for this deep dive with Cave Carson Adventures Inside Earth, the third appearances of Johnny Blake and Lena The Lemur with the brute force of Bulldozer Smith not far from page, DC’s Showcase volume 1 issue number 52 from October of 1964. Cover is truly beautiful and almost blemish free, nice off-white and sharp inner page with some seldom dings and baking is sharp, white and clean, a very very dazzling copy!

The second appearance of Dr.Bruce Gordon aka Eclipso amidst the debris of Solar City in this three tales treasure via Mort Meskin, George Roussos and Lee Elias, DC’s House Of Secrets volume 1 issue number 62 from September of 1963. Cover has some faint faded creases but nice edges, slight warping to the spine, mostly even, clean and concise inner pages with off-whit shading and a few dings, back is white with faint print rubbing spots.

Charlton gives you more! And in this case, more chills, thrills and oddities with this terrific series with a haunting Dick Giordano cover scare, Charlton Comics Unusual Tales volume 1 issue number 36 from November of 1962, the series brought the "Extraordinary Stories Never Before Told." This comic offered a balance between science-fiction, fantasy and horror, with the exciting tales and colorful artwork holding up very well today. Some brief browning to inners with a few seldom dings but even and mostly nice edged, cover has creasing to the spine and bottom right corner and backing has slight browning with a few faint marks.

Russ Heath and Irv Novick to the dog fighting, bullet barraged, swear and weapons soaked pages with the former to the awesome cover, three segments included with the finale being that with Johnny Cloud The Navajo Ace, DC’s All American Men Of War volume 1 issue number 111 from October of 1965, "Jets Never Let Go!" Some faint print rubbing to the top edge but a fantastic spine of cover while bottom right chipping remains to entire book, back cover is white and sharp except for the chipping to bottom corner and some faint print rubbing to the spine, mostly even and sharp inner pages besides the chipped corners.

Doctor Solar was the creation of writer Paul S. Newman and artist Bob Fujitani, with input from editor Matt Murphy. He was one of three nuclear-powered heroes of the era all of whom shared a similar origin; Doctor Solar's atomic brethren were Captain Atom and Nukla, but this particular issue is important as it contains the first appearance of Solar in his costume, "The Crystallized Killers" and "The New Man Of Atom,? with a pin-up style painted backing usually for the series and GK; Gold Key’s Doctor Solar Man Of The Atom volume 1 issue number 5 from September of 1962. Cover is nice with creasing to the spine faintly, chipping bottom right corner tips to book throughout, despite that chipping the inners and backing are both great otherwise and elsewhere.

Led by a mysterious man known as Blackhawk, the Blackhawks (or more formally, the Blackhawk Squadron) are a small team of World War II-era ace pilots of varied nationalities, each typically known under a single name, either their given name or their surname. Though the membership roster has undergone changes over the years, the team has been portrayed most consistently as having seven core members, here collects 4 fantastic examples of their early 1960’s presentations with mostly marvelous work from Dick Dillin — DC’s Blackhawk issues 177, 187, 188, and 189, spanning October of 1962 into October of 1963. Various levels of Very Good to Fine mostly, creasing and some dings to some spines and covers, usually good inner pages with no major blemishes and backings typically sharp and smooth.

Batman and Robin - The Greatest Adventures of the Famed Dynamic Duo, plus a rare and extra early Batman newspaper comic strip, Bob Kane, Bob Brown, Bill Finger and tons other work on this 80 page packed Bat beauty that begins with the vivacious and vicious Vicki Vale tale, "The Crimes Of The Catwoman," DC’s 80 Page Giant volume 1 issue number 5 from December of 1964. Some slight warping to the spine and minor wear to the bottom right corner edges of cover, and those are the only two moderate condition issues with this book, the backing is whit and sharp with faint print rubbing to spine and the very many inner pages are even, concise and sharp with not many dings to them.

The first appearance of Leonard Lenny Fiasco The Eraser and his lone Silver Age appearance as he wouldn’t appear again until decades later with this Gotham two taled take: "The Eraser Who Tried To Rub Out Batman" and “The Ten Best Dressed Corpses In Gotham City,” DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 188 from December of 1966. Scattered creasing all over the perimeter into the spine with some chipping to it as well while the top and bottom right corners have some surface scuffs and numbing to the top left corner tip of cover, pen markings to the title of cover and also to the introductory page with some wear around the staples of inner pages and slight browning, back cover has some scattered wear to the bottom right corner and slight foxing.

Three different tales of thrills and terror with three other seperate one page articles and strips, a content packed capture for this series with a cover from Mort Meskin and George Roussos, DC’s House Of Mystery volume 1 issue number 127 from October of 1962, "The Cosmic Game Of Doom." Brief creasing to the cover but it is a beauty otherwise with great edges and vivid coloring, a few faint and tiny dings to title as well, a divot ding to bottom right corner of inner pages that have separated from the cover flaps, back cover has good edges and print rubbing to its spine.

Dick Dillin to the cover of "The Deadly Duplicates" and featured also is "The Arrow That Saved The World? and “That Creature Must Die,? DC’s House Of Mystery volume 1 issue number 138 from October of 1963, The Odin, Thor, and Loki that appear in "The Arrow That Saved the World" are exclusive to that story and bear no relation to other versions seen elsewhere. The top staple is detached from the frontispiece but bottom is intact, inner pages mostly sharp and concise but page 7 has a folded tear to bottom, clean with a few dings and faint browning to edges to some others, slight foxing to the white and sharp otherwise back cover and main cover has a surface scuff to the center of spine and wear around the top staple, plus brief creases to spine and right edge.

It begins with the bombastic first appearance of The Gas Gang and marches on further with three fantastic other fables to this strong series, DC’s Metal Men Lot volume 1 issues 6, 8, 9, and 15 spanning March of 1964 into September of 1965, the typical treasured cover work from Ross Andru and Mike Esposito. The edges and surfaces of most covers are truly excellent, very nice spines to each of these four books, slight wear to right edge of issue 9 with that issue having some folded creases to the bottom corner tips of some inner pages, usually nice inner pages for the rest and back covers: very nice to issues 6 and 8, pen marking and faint wear to bottom of issue 9 (that issue also having pen marking to the top of intro page and final page) and bottom surface stain scuff to issue 15.

The typical terrific pin-up painted cover style back and main cover flaps to this dark delight, "The 1000 Faces Of Fear" and “The Mystagogue” in Gold Key’s Boris Karloff Tales Of Mystery volume 1 issue number 8 from December of 1964. Some brief wear around the staples of cover and varying levels of chipping to the right bottom and top corner tips, that chipping continues and echoes through to most of the inner pages and back cover is actually very nice and sharp.

Exactly one issue after the series switched from horror and suspense and Science Fiction to superhero this Martian Manhunter featured gem pops through: DC’s House Of Mystery volume 1 issue number 144 from July of 1964, "The Touch Of Disaster," “The Doom Game” and “The Weird World Of Gilgana” plus a few other one page segments. A very very nice cover perimeter edging with some brief shading mark to the top right edge, mostly nice and concise inner pages with some slight browning to them and back cover is nice with faded foxing and print nubbing to perimeter.

The second appearance of The Invisible Kid and third ever appearances of Mon-El and Shrinking Violet to this vivid and awesome Kal-El, Bruce Wayne and Brainiac feature — DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 156 from October of 1962, "The Last Days Of Superman" via Curt Swan and Ed Hamilton and this solo Supes segment was retold in volume 1 of the Greatest Superman Stories Ever Told. Cover has wear around the staples and slightly to spine as well with a faint crease down the center, inner pages have disconnected from cover flaps, a pen marking to intro page and some browning to the rest while backing has some waving to the bottom edge.

The death and demise of mom and pop Kent taunted in this Smallville tale that has Lex Luthor not far from the story, "The Last Days Of Ma And Pa Kent" and “Superman Goes To War,” DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 161 from May of 1963, with another courageous capture of Supes to the cover via legend Curt Swan. Mostly nice and delightful inner pages with even concise edges and good corners, back cover is white and sharp with only one small dot stain to it and the cover is nice and crisp with only a faint bit of creasing to the spine and one faded and tiny surface scuff to the right edge with slight wear to its edge.

Wonder Man gives Kal-El the infection of envy as he takes over the role of sole superior savior and in the second segment Supes is shown goofier than usual via mental problems from Red Kryptonite — DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 163 from August of 1963. Wear and creases slightly to the spine of cover, even edged and great cornered inners almost entirely and backing is off-white and sharp with faint print rubbing moments.

The first appearance of Element Lad and Roxxas whilst Superboy and Lana Lang feature cameo to the forefront of this fantastic George Klein, Curt Swan, George Papp, John Forte gem — DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 307 from April of 1963. Cover remains outstanding with not many dings or creases to its perimeter, even and concise inner pages for the most part with great edges however final page has a crease to the top corner and that corner to back cover has a fold but backing is white and sharp everywhere else.

Two terrific Jerry Siegel Superboy stories and one Superbaby spectacular with this Curt Swan covered capture, from metropolis to Smallville the adventure flies high with segments in DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 105 from June of 1963, "The Simpleton Of Steel." Back cover is great sharp and white with good corners and only faint dings while the inner pages are mostly even and concise with only a bit of dings to bottoms, slight faint creases to the spine but cover remains very nice and vibrant.

Two terrific tales but most importantly and notably "The Showdown Between Luthor and Superman," which has been reprinted in several Supes issues since, the first appearance of The Lexorians and Lexor in a world where Lex Luthor has achieved god king status and Kal-El has dwarfed to his power, DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 164 from October of 1963. A faded warp dent vertically to the spine of back cover that is white and mostly nice otherwise, great and even inner pages with good edges and cover has creases to the bottom right corner tip and top left corner, faintly to the spine, remains good.

The first appearance of Perry White chronologically amidst these two takes of Lex Luthor as ruler in this "all-Luthor" epic from Curt Swan, Ed Hamilton and George Klein, the first naming of Lexor in DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 168 from April of 1964, “Luthor, Super Hero” and “Lex Luthor, Daily Planet Editor!” A superb cover condition with only faint warping and slight wear to the spine, inner pages are mostly excellent, clean sharp and concise while the back cover is white and sharp as well, truly a very, very nice copy indeed.

Supes and his best pal Jimmy Olsen are dealing with the trickery and treachery of Mr. Mxyzptlk and Bizarro and others with three terrific Jerry Siegel written wonders here beginning with "The Infernal Imp," DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 169 from May of 1964, a DC contest issue that was promoted but eventually defunct because of mishaps and editor errors. Cover is spectacular and sharp with clean surface, mostly even, sharp and concise inner pages however the first few do have a crease dent vertically to the right opening edge and back cover is white and sharp.

PT Allan and The Professor aka The Suicide Squadron travel to dinosaur island in this proper war meets prehistoric menaces feature via Ross Andru and Robert Kanigher, DC’s Star Spangled War Stories volume 1 issue number 111 from November of 1963, "Return Of The Dinosaur Killer!" Some brief creasing to the spine and right corner tips, back cover is very nice with only some very faint few stains tot he left edge and mostly delightful and sharp inner pages.

Lois Lane goes back in time to try to stop Superboy from falling in love with Lana Lang but fails plus five other Lois Lane features, a great many masquerades and incognito moments with these two issues — DC’s Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane volume 1 numbers 50 and 56 from July of 1964 and April of 1965. Both issues are very nice, even and sharp for the most part however issue 50 has chipping to the entire bottom right corner of book, inner pages and backings otherwise are mostly concise, clean and nice, a vertical factory print marking remains to some inners of issue 50 and backing to issue 56 has a tiny pen writing to center.

The Legion Of Super Heroes and Superboy with their own outstanding odes to this issue with the LoSH tale being original and with the first appearance of the Heroes Of Lallor, including: Evolvo Lad, Duplicate Boy, Life Lass, Beast Boy and Gas Girl, DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 324 from September of 1964, "The Legion Of Super Outlaws," the team and brand new characters against the Marden King and Prime Minister Vorr. A very nice sharp and clean copy, except for two spots: the very center of the cover has a surface scuff, and the back cover has a crease dent along the spine vertically, otherwise majority of issue is straight and delightful.

The tremendous duo of Gardner Fox and Carmine Infantino show Batman and Elongated Man in their terrific and separate segments, while the dynamic duo is in Africa dealing with animals and danger the Elongated Man has his stretched hands full with a tricky jewel thief, DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 333 from November of 1964, "Hunters Of The Elephant’s Graveyard," and you gotta love that Murphy Anderson / Carmine Infantino cover. A truly excellent cover with wonderful coloring and edges and only a faint bit of wear to the center top of spine, mostly marvelous even and concise inner pages with a few pages toward the centerfold having a chipped tip and a few dings here and there, backing is off-white sharp and nice with super brief print rubbing to the spine.

Superboy against the foes Brainiac, Lex Luthor, Trixie Kelsey and several other crooks and despicable types througout these five fables from Curt Swan and company: DC’s Superboy volume 1 issues 106 and 107 from July and September of 1963, "The Great Superboy Hoax" and “The Superboy Club Of Smallville” being the two main title stories. Issue number 106 hovers around a Fine-, very clean and sharp inners, a nice white backing with faint print rubbing to spine and excellent cover with minor creasing to the spine, issue 107 has creasing to the spine of cover and nubbing to the bottom right corner, even and concise inners mostly with some sporadic dings and back cover has a chip to bottom and last page.

Not one but four outstanding odes to Kal-El’s buddy here, DC’s Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen volume 1 issues 63 from September of 1962, number 78 from July of 1964, issue 81 from December of 1964, and issue 87 from September of 1965: a great many adventurous segments with this lovely lot featuring the Legion Of Super Heroes, Brainiac, Lex Luthor and countless other entities, too many occurrences and events to name. Condition wise, most issues remain nice; mostly sharp and clean covers with minor creases to their spines if any, the centerfold page is detatched to issue 87, some faint brief chips and dings here and there but most inner pages are sharp (some pencil marking to the top of one page toward the center of issue 63), clean and concise other than that, slight crease bend to some bottom corners of issue 63, backings are mostly all sharp and off-white.

Three thrilling tales including "One Month To Die," “The Human Stallion,” and the cover piece epic “Auto-Man Versus Mutant-Man,” with Otto Binder, George Roussos and Jay Scott Pike behind the pages with the latter being the culprit responsible for the radical cover piece: DC’s Tales Of The Unexpected volume 1 issue number 97 from November of 1966. Some slight warping and faint wear to the spine of nice cover, some brief browning to the inners but they’ve got great edges and corners usually and back cover is white and sharp with super minor scuff and wear spot near the spine.

"The Midnight Raid Of The Robin Gang" and “The Bandits and The Baroness” sees the caped crusader and boy wonder against Chip Keller and The Robin Gang whilst The Elongated Man has to stretch himself thin to deal with the dangers of Baroness Dervich and several other criminals — DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 342 from August of 1965. Some faint few creases to the spine of the fabulous cover while the back cover is white and sharp with one minor scuff to the left edge and that scuff echoes through to a few of the last pages faintly, mostly great, even and concise inner pages elsewhere.

"The Outlaw Fort Knox" the titular main cover segment to this super spectacle but included is two other terrific tales as well, a dose of Daily Planet and sentient Kryptonite dynamite is DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 179 from August of 1965. A superb and sharp white back cover with one super faint and faded stain to bottom that echoes every so briefly to some inner pages, speaking of inner pages they remain sharp and spectacular, I can’t recall seeing a single ding to them, cover is delightful with slight warping to the spine, outstanding surface and edges.

"The Triumph of The Legion Of Super Villains" and “Clark Kent’s Coach” from Jerry Siegel and Otto Binder but the former segment seeing the first appearances of Animal Lad, Polecat, Tusker, and Golden Boy plus the final appearance of Dynamo Boy, DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 331 from April of 1965. Some scattered wear to the perimeter edges and creasing to the spine of cover, definite wear around the staples that look detatched from the cover flap but are connected still, back cover has scattered scuffs and wear, inner pages are similar but with even edges mostly.

Something different this way lurks, four different publishing companies off-shoot series examples here, beginning with Dell Publishing’s War Stories Combat issue number 18 from October of 1965, Harvey Pictures Magazines’ Warfront issue number #6 from October of 1965, DC’s Rip Hunter Time Master issue number 16 from September of 1963, and finally Charlton Comics’ Strange Suspense Stories number 49 from September of 1960. Condition wise, Strange Suspense has some definite wear, folded bottom corner tips and chipping to that corner as well, scattered creases to the spine, browning, and wear to the back of the spine; the inners to the other three books are mostly concise and sharp for the most part, even and clean usually, especially with their covers.

Nine different segments plus a special one page announcement, a TV promo, and old segment throwback to this fabulous fashion and adventure page packed collection of Superman’s main squeeze stories, DC’s Lois Lane Annual issue number 2 from Summer of 1963. A nice back cover with some minor scattered print rubbing to the perimeter, inner pages are mostly even and sharp but one page has a somewhat odd a small chip to bottom edge, cover is excellent with some brief creasing to the spine and slight nubbing to the top left corner tip.

80 noir action soaked pages throughout 8 separate and sensational segments including the first appearance of Bat-Mite plus tons of other awesome epics from Bruce Wayne’s history here — DC’s Giant Batman Annual issue number 7 from Summer of 1964, the reprinting of the first appearance of Batgirl and a bunch of other brilliant moments. Cover remains wonderful with some brief warping and slight waving to the spine with great edges and corners that continue to the many inner pages, the back cover produced a beautiful Bob Kane Bat family portrait and is excellent condition wise with faint foxing to the perimeter.

A super sized smattering of Supes spectacles featuring nine different Kryptonite gem’s stories and a special features section with five different segments, Lois Lane, Jor-El, Jimmy Olsen and even the Super Monkey from Krypton are included here in DC’s Giant Superman Annual issue number 5 from Summer of 1962. Some print rubbing to the surface of intro page but most of the inners are sharp, clean and even everywhere, cover has some annoying pen marking completely to the title as if this were a coloring book, slight faint creasing to spine, a couple dings to the left edge of back cover and some faint foxing.

A delightful Dick Ayers cover to this Furious war torn fable, Marvels Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos volume 1 issue number 22 from September of 1965, The Howling Commandos and McGiveney's Maulers are sent to Ploesti to destroy artillery in advance of the bombing raid on the German oil supply stored there, "Don’t Turn Your Back On Bull McGiveney," included is the first chronological cameo appearances of creators Stan Lee and Dick Ayers. Some print rubbing to the perimeter of back cover and a chip to the bottom corner that remains for the entire book, besides that chip the inner pages have some slight browning but great edges and the cover some similar surface print rubbing and browning, but not many creases.

Dinosaurs, space spectacles, advanced weaponry, beats and more with this thrilling book of tales from a series that was only published a few times a year, American Comics Group’s Unknown Worlds volume 1 issue number 51 from October and November of 1966. Sharp and concise inner pages however the centerfold page is detached, excellent edges to most places while back cover has two tiny line brown stains to spine, cover has some creasing to the spine, one down the center of issue vertically and to top right corner tip.

Gilberton Worldwide Publishing and Classics Illustrated Publications’ The Illustrated Story Of Prehistoric Animals from November of 1959 and Fight For Life from October of 1961. Both books have spine wear and creasing, one tear to the bottom left corner of cover of issue 36, browning within to inners of issue 15 and some bottom corner chipping to issue 36, one chip and a smudge to back cover of issue 15 and slight waving wear to back of issue 36.

Four fabulous Gold Key early gems in this looney lot — first, Gold Key Korak Son Of Tarzan number 6 from December of 1964, Walt Disney Comics and Stories number 1 from October of 1962, Walt Disney Donald Duck Album number 2 from October of 1963 and finally Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories number 6 from March of 1964. A quacktastic delight most of these issues conditions are, mostly sharp edges to covers and inners with some minor moments of wear and creasing but not major concerns or big blemishes within this bunch, a brief faded and faint pencil marking to the back center of issue 1.

A spectacular grouping of goodys and cartoon goofs goes here, Harvey Comics Giant Size Spooky Spooktown issue number 2 from September of 1962, Richie Rich Millions issue number 3 from Dec,her of 1962, Sad Sack Laugh Special issue 22 from September of 1964, Hot Stuff The Little Devil number 50 from October of 1962, Harvey Hits number 60 from September of 1962, and lastly Sad Sack and The Sarge issue 99 from February of 1972. All six of these toons are in mostly great shape, a few minor moments of wear, slight warping and surface scuffs but no major rips or tears, no serious stains.

Dell Comics delights and excites with this vintage triple feature: The Real McCoys Dell issue number 1134 from September of 1960, Kona issue number 10 from June of 1964, Huckleberry Hound Dell issue number 1050 from December of 1959? Huckleberry Hound has a slight chip to the bottom near the spine and a slight warping to it as well, a chip to one of the inner pages and some slight browning, back cover has a chipped torn corner, the Kona book has a nice off-white backing and good inners, great cover, Real McCoys issue has some wear to the spine and scattered brief dings, slight browning to inners and backing and a few small scuffs.

A very sharp, clean and smooth copy of American Mythology Productions’ Underdog Classics first printing from 2018, then Hallden Fawcett Publications Dennis The Menace numbers 16 from Summer of 1963 and number 25 from Summer of 1964, Dennis Goes To Camp and In Hollywood. A pen signature marking to the top of issue 16’s cover with a few faint dents and dings to it a pen marking to the inner puzzle page and backing that has some slight browning and a surface scuff, a few dings and print rubbing moments to issue 25.

Three terrific issues that have seen better days but are still awesome: DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 295 from September of 1961, Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 180 from January of 1961 and Green Lantern volume 2 issue 29 from June of 1964. These books have some age and they show it, Curt Swan to Adventure Comics, Gil Kane and John Broome to Green Lantern’s epic that features the first appearance of Black Hand and a super cool cameo from legend Gil Kane himself breaking the fourth wall, and Bill Finger and Nick Cardy to the Martian Manhunter/Aquaman segments accompanying Bats and Boy Wonder. Condition concerns are as follows = Green Lantern has a huge tear chip and scuff to the cover, a faded browning and stain to the first many pages but the back cover is nice somehow, Adventure Comics has some wear and creasing to the bottom right corner and spine plus a detatched cover flaps, scattered chips to perimeter of back cover, Detective Comics has some wear around the staples, browning and folded corners to the inner pages, bent bottom corner and chipped top corner, scattered wear to the spine.

You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, so you definitely can’t judge this lot? No covers to these basically now reader copies, unfortunate they’re missing them because they are some great gems with marvelous moments — Adventures Into The Unknown number 136 from November of 1963, Detective Comics number 326 from April of 1964, Action Comics number 312 from May of 1964, Adventure Comics number 319 from April of 1964, Green Lantern number 28 from April of 1964, and finally The Atom issue 12 from May of 1964. A few brief wear moments and slight browning.

None of these with covers, but that doesn’t make the jokes and zany moments any less funny or enjoyable; issues are Archie’s Madhouse number 33 from June of 1964, Cosmo The Merry Martian number 4 from June of 1959, Archie Pep number 169 from March of 1964, and Blondie Comics Monthly issue 113 from April of 1958. Slight browning to these pages, print rubbing to the surface of Madhouse.

Capping off this first collection with a gigantic bang, nine (that’s 9) 80 Page Giant issues together in one titanic lot of terrific. DC’s 80 Page Giant volume 1 issues number — don’t hold your breath, this’ll take a while — 2 from September of 1964, issue 3 from September of 1964, issue 4 from October of 1964, issue 6 from January of 1965, issue 9 from April of 1965, issue 10 from May of 1965, issue 12 from July of 1965, issue 13 from August of 1965, and finally issue 14 from September of 1965. This lot is a total of 720 pages of Flash, Batman, Superman, Lois Lane, and Superboy stellar moments galore. What’s better yet, most of these issues are Very Good to Fine+, issue number 13 The Jimmy Olsen issue has some chipping to the bottom corner tip of book, the rest are sharp and clean and smooth mostly, minor moments of wear and brief creases, perhaps slight warping to some spines, a few dings or scuffs but usually great copies this lovely lot.

Brilliance, radiance and remarkable continues on here, Iron Man is declared on a leave of absence from the Avengers as he is missing, and now that they are weaker, Kang tries to defeat them again — He creates a replica robot of Spider-Man, because of his vast range of powers, the first appearance of the Spider-Man Android, a superb Marvel Masterwork Pin-Up of Kang the Conqueror via legend Don Heck, and an immediately recognized and respected cover from legends Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers — Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 11 from December of 1974, "The Mighty Avengers Meet Spider-Man." The introduction page has disconnected and has chipping to its perimeter and a pen marking to the top edge, page 11 has a chip to bottom near spine, the rest of the inners have browning and back cover has a chip and two tears to the bottom near spine, with all the book blemishes the cover remains nice with one surface scuff near the corner box.

Loki, a master of deception, convinces Surfer that Thor is up to no good! An epic battle between two powerful forces commences and with the iconic and instantly recognizable and remarkable cover from the Buscema brother legends, "The Good, The Bad and The Uncanny" and “The Terror Of Tim Boo Ba,” Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 4 from February of 1969. Some scattered waving and faint wear to the white back cover, mostly concise, sharp and clean inner pages with one faded ding to the top edge that repeats to some, a faint ink stain to the top center of frontispiece, brief creases and minor dings to the top left area and bottom right corner tip of beautiful cover.

Iconic, instantly recognizable, insanely cool, any and all adjectives you want to use for this landmark gem are probably applicable; Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue 1 from August of 1968, the big premiere origin of Norrin Radd the sentinel of the spaceways and his beginning first step solo series, plus the first appearance of Shalla-Bal, first appearance of The Yetis, and origin of The Watchers from legends Gene Colan, John Buscema, Stan Lee and other legends with "The Origin Of Silver Surfer" and “The Wonder Of The Watcher!” A fairly excellent cover condition, it has wear to the right edge in two spots, slight creases to top and bottom right corners, concise sharp and even inner pages for the most part with very few dings but a slight warping to the right edge area, slight print rubbing to the perimeter and one tiny dot stain to top of backing.

First and foremost, this is probably the nicest and cleaning copy of this landmark gem I’ve ever personally held, wow what a beauty. Essential, extraordinary and excellent, the first appearance of the iconic barbarian in comic books happens here, the character of Conan the Barbarian was created by pulp novelist Robert E. Howard and was featured in a series of sword and sorcery novels and short stories and this gem is the first comic book adaptation of Howard's character — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 1 from October of 1970, "The Coming Of Conan," the remarkable team of Barry Windsor-Smith, Roy Thomas and Dan Adkins providing proper brilliance with these storied pages. The spine and perimeter edges of the cover haven’t a single crease to them, the inners are clean, sharp, even and consistent with only a seldom ding to a bottom, back cover has brief browning but fabulous otherwise, pictures of every single page have been provided, take a look at this stunning dazzler!

You can’t have the phenomenal first comic appearance of Conan without having the first full and fantastic appearance of his equally deadly and glorious heroine Red Sonja, here with this tremendous treasure — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 24 from March of 1973, "The Song Of Red Sonja" the second appearance of Sonjita and her first full story via Barry Windsor-Smith, Roy Thomas and Art Simek. An excellent cover with fabulous corners and edges, the tips to some inner page corners have some chips but mostly great inners with even edges and back cover has only faint browning to perimeter edges.

The sky-rider and sentinel of the spaceways meets the spectacular friendly neighborhood hero for the first time in this epic, first Silver Surfer / Spider-Man team-up and battle between the two icons, Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 14 from March of 1970, "The Surfer and The Spider!" A sensational cover condition, sharp and clean edges and surface, concise, even and sharp inner pages with womdeful corners only a few dings to some bottoms, backing is very nice as well, white and sharp; a Fine+ copy indeed!

"Their Darkest Hour!" An extraordinary Marvel epic indeed as this gem includes the second appearance of The Masters Of Evil and joining of Enchantress and The Executioner, whilst Baron Zemo menaces the early crew of Iron Man, Thor, Cap, Wasp and Giant-Man — Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 7 from August of 1964. Some brief browning marks and faint bit of wear to the top edge of back cover, a few creases corners and minor wear moments to some edges of inner pages, frontispiece has some faint browning to center slightly, cover has creasing and wear to the spine and perimeter edges.

The death of Baron Zemo in this dynamite delight, "Now, By My Hand, Shall Die a Villain!" The Avengers battle the Masters of Evil in New York while Captain America trails Zemo to his jungle hideout where the villain has imprisoned Rick Jones, Zemo tries to bring down an avalanche on Cap but the villain is killed instead and the death of Bucky Barnes is finally avenged in Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 15 from April of 1965, via Mike Esposito, Don Heck, Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. One browning stain mark and a fold crease along the spine of back cover, great edges and corners though, similarly to inner pages with wonderful corners and edges mostly, a few dings to bottoms and that same browning mark to the top staple of intro page and last page, very nice cover condition with minor foxing and wear along the spine and in corner box.

The first appearances of lessers Ogor, Dr. Svenson, the alien race known as the Kallusians and Yirbek in this terrific Marvel masterwork from masters Kirby, Lee, Ayers and Heck: In order to save the Wasp's life, the Avengers seek out the help of Dr. Svenson, only to find he's been replaced by an alien from the planet Kallu — Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 14 from March of 1965, "Even An Avenger Can Die!" (That Avenger being Wasp, fatally injured in previous issue.) Some scattered dents and dings to the back cover, inner pages are good with some edge wear in places, page 7 has a folded bottom corner tip, cover has some creasing to the top edge and spine areas, nubbing wear to the bottom left corner, folded chipped corner tip to bottom right.

The special and spectacular Academy award issue featuring two of the greatest Conan The Barbarian sagas ever told and with a new and brilliant Barry Windsor-Smith cover, Marvels Conan The Barbarian King-Size number 1 (also known as Annual number 1) from 1973, "Lair Of The Beast Men" and “Tower Of The Elephant.” Some faded browning and brief dents to the back cover, mostly even and excellent inner pages for the many of them, cover is fabulous with minor edge wear to the right edge and tip left briefly.

Sword versus sorcery in a world that time forgot but comic history hasn’t, 68 big and beautiful pages to this epic: Marvels Conan The Barbarian Giant-Size volume 1 issue 1 from September of 1974, "The Hour Of The Dragon," "The Stranger from Hell,” “When Mountains Reel,” and “The Twilight of the Grim Grey God,” included in this first appearance of Belit Queen Of The Black Coast. Back cover is basically outstanding and blemish free while the inner pages follow that with being even, excellent and concise with great edges, main cover only has some minor chipping to the top left corner and a brief surface color scuff, a fantastic copy for sure.

A dynamic and double size issue and a spectacular milestone for the series, "Death On The Black Coast" features dynamite moments and diabolical events with the death of Belit Queen Of The Black Coast and the last story feat airing the team The Black Corsairs: Marvel Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 100 from July of 1979, a dazzling cover too from legends John Buscema, Ernie Chan and Marie Severin. Said cover is near perfect and basically blemish free, excellence with the inner page and back cover conditions, sharp and clean almost everywhere, one minor staple dent to backing top.

The first appearance of Mephisto, the endlessly evil Marvel universe equivalent of The Devil happens here in this lovely landmark — Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 3 from December of 1968, "The Power and The Prize," plus the first appearances of Professor Crater and Zankor, Mephisto captures Shalla Bal and tries to tempt the Surfer into joining him by using his one true love as bait, then a 10 page wonderful Watcher story named “Why Won’t They Believe Me?” Slight nubbing to the bottom of spine, a few faint dent dings and one super minor rip to the top edge of back cover, mostly even and nice inner pages with a few chipped tips to some bottom corner tips, cover is beautiful with a faint few dings to top edge.

Such an iconic and remarkable cover. "The Coming Of Doctor Strange" sees the origin of the sorcerer supreme retold and this first issue to his first self-titled series, plus the first appearance of Asmodeus (Charles Benton), plus who can mistake the magnificent and iconic cover via Dan Adkins, such a delight: Marvels Doctor Strange volume 1 issue number 169 from June of 1968. While recuperating at the Sanctum of his master the Ancient One, Dr. Strange sleeps and dreams of the events that led to him becoming a master of the mystic arts. What follows is an extended origin based on the events depicted in Strange Tales #115 following the end of his career as a surgeon due to car accident, becoming a drunken derelict and questing to restore his damaged hands. Learning of the Ancient One and attempting to become his disciple, after displaying a show of selflessness by trying to protect the Ancient One from the machinations of Karl Mordo, he is allowed to train under the Ancient One's tutelage. Some browning to the perimeter edges and one brief crease to the top left corner, cover has some surface wear to the center of the spine and the tips of the corners while remaining dazzling, mostly marvelous and concise inner pages with a few dings to bottoms.

"While A World Awaits" sees the dreaded and diabolical Dormammu attempt to dismantle and destroy the Sorcerer Supreme, Marvels Doctor Strange volume 1 issue number 173 from October of 1968. Some scattered dings to bottom pages and some various moments of minor wear, slight bent corner tips to some top tips, back cover has some browning and creasing to the perimeter edges, cover has some creasing, wear and surface scuffing to the top right corner, bottom edge and spine, creasing to the bottom right corner tip, wear to the top left corner edge.

The first appearance of The Grim Reaper and also Black Panther T’Challa joins the A squad in this astonishing Key issue from John Buscema, Roy Thomas and Vince Coletta: Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 52 from May of 1968, "Death Calls For The Arch Heroes!" Also the first appearance of Black Panther’s new modified face mask. Two minor tiny rips and some small moments of print rubbing to the back cover, brief edge wear to its top, mostly even, clean and sharp inner pages with a faded and faint bend crease to the top corners that echoes somewhat, cover has one pesky pen marking to the center below title and some very minor wear to the corner box.

"When Lands The Saucer" and “The Coming Of The Krills” two tremendous samplings of story for the sky rider of space, the first appearances of Badoon the alien race, the Monster of Badoon, and Brother Royale to this treasure from Buscema, Colon and Lee — Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 2 from October of 1968. Some minimal wear to the edges in spots of the white and nice back cover, mostly great and concise and clean inner pages with a few dings to bottom of the intro page, cover has a few tiny dot scuffs to the center of spine but the rest of it is truly terrific.

Three titans first DC appearances here with this treasure, Korak Son Of Tarzan, Carson Napier and David Innes’ first time in DC Comics plus the first appearance of Abner Perry and with a wondrous Joe Kubert cover piece, DC’s Korak Son Of Tarzan issue number 46 from June of 1972, previously a Gold Key Comics company product. A few chipped tips to some tops and bottom corners of inner pages but the edges are even and straight and nice everywhere else, back cover has slight browning to the perimeter a chipped top corner tip and one tiny chip to left leaning edge center, cover is beautiful with one corner chip to top but wonderful spine, surface and remaining edges.

Dozens of delights with this first key landmark in DC history, such as a spectacular one page Gray Morrow promo pin-up for John Carter Of Mars, a reprinted 3 page Christmas Tarzan comic strip from 1931, the first 26 page Tarzan DC story titled "Origin Of The Ape-Man, Book One," the eight page John Carter Of Mars segment adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs including the origin, Murphy Anderson, Marv Wolfman and many other legends’ work with this wonder: DC’s Tarzan volume 1 issue number 207 from April of 1972. Almost completely excellent inner pages with great corners and edges, back cover has one minor faded dent to the top edge and a few faint ones to the left top corner that echoes very briefly to the inner pages to the back of the book, cover has slight wear chipping to the right edge and folded right top corner tip, fabulous otherwise and elsewhere.

A fireball of blazing beauty as the original Human Torch, one of the very first ever Marvel characters, appears blitzes in battle with his newer incarnation from the FF Johnny Storm, the first Silver Age appearance of Golden Age Human Torch, plus a reprinting of the first Thing / Hulk tussle from FF issues 25 and 26, Marvels Fantastic Four King-Size volume 1 issue number 4 from November of 1966,"The Torch That Was” also features the first appearance of Quasimodo in this Kirby/Lee/Roussos gem. Some wear amongst the body and backing of the spine, back cover has one crease to the top right corner, some brief yellowing to the middle and a chip to the bottom near the spine, a chipped tip to the top corner of intro page but everywhere else with the inner pages is excellent with womdeful edges and corners, cover some scattered surface dings and creasing to the top right corner.

Another glorious Joe Kubert cover for this spectacular second step in the jungle’s direction, the second DC appearance of Tarzan — DC’s Tarzan Of The Apes volume 1 issue number 208 from May of 1972, the second part of a four part Edgar Rice Burroughs adaptation plus another cool comic strip from 1932, and a second John Carter Of Mars segment, "Prisoner Of The Tharks." One minor tiny rip to the top left edge of back cover that is beautiful, that same area to the last page has a ding to it, and that’s basically all of the condition concerns as the rest of this book is terrific and very nice edges everywhere.

John Buscema and Stan Lee present "In the Hands Of Mephisto," Mephisto kidnaps Shalla Bal in an attempt to force the Surfer into doing his bidding, Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue 16 from 1970, Nick Fury, Dum Dum Dugan and Shield appear to encounter the battle between the evil and the sky rider. Despite one very tiny and somewhat camouflaged pen marking to the comic corner box, the cover remains superb and sensational, wonderful edges and corners, a fantastic and sharp white back cover with hardly a blemish to it, very nice and even inner pages with only a few seldom dings to bottoms.

"The Shadow Of The Vulture" isn’t just incredible because of its spectacular Gil Kane cover or Roy Thomas/Barry Windsor-Smith/Sal Buscema inner book savagery, the first cameo appearance of the fierce and fiery rouge vixen Red Sonja happens with this gem — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 23 from February of 1973. Besides some very faint wear to the top right corner edge, the cover remains remarkably good, check out that spine, some very brief browning to the perimeter edge of the beautiful back cover and inner pages are mostly all clean, even and concise. What a fantastic copy!

The stupendous second step in Robert E. Howard’s astonishing adapted folklore of savagery and suspenseful sword-wielding action — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 2 from December of 1970, the second ever comic appearance of the Cimmerian and greatest sword and sorcery hero of all-time and the first time ever Conan would be depicted in chains as would happen in the future frequently. Cover is beautiful and dangerously close to perfect, even and excellent inner pages with only some seldom dings to bottoms and an equally exquisite back cover, a faint bent tip to the top left corner, truly a tremendous copy right here.

The first appearance of the wizardly wicked Elric Of Melnibone and the first appearance of Kulan Gath to this great and gorgeous gem, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 14 from March of 1972, "A Sword Called Stormbringer!" A brilliant condition to this book with dazzling and delightful edges almost completely through, a sharp and blemish free backing, even and concise inner pages with a few dings to bottoms and brief browning but great corners and cover is fabulous and clean.

Freely adapted and phenomenal in intensity, the greatest sword and sorcery hero of all with this first appearance of Borri The Grey God and the Choosers Of The Slain in this low distribution gem from Barry Windsor-Smith and company "Twilight of The Grim Grey God," Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue 3 from February of 1971, the third step in the series and third appearance of the savage master Conan. The BWS smith cover is beautiful and almost perfect besides a tiny surface scuff to the bottom right corner tip, excellent and even inners with a few dings to bottoms and the back cover remains fantastic with a faint bit of browning to the spine.

Two complete and tremendous novels from The Shadows’ private annals as told to Maxwell Grant, thrilling tales and features with this fantastic grouping of "The Shadow Unmasks" and “The Yellow Band,” plus a few separate segments of wonder by Will Murray, Anthony Tollin and others and with an outstanding original cover piece by George Rozen and Edd Cartier: Nostalgia Ventures’ The Shadow by Maxwell Grant, first printing from 2008. Book remains pristine and delightful with hardly a ding to it.

A brilliant and beautiful Boris Vallejo cover piece (easily one of the greatest artists in comic and Sci-Fi history) to this sword swinging and savage spectacular. The fourth appearance of Red Sonja in this first step to this stunning series and with work from legends Neal Adams, Gil Kane, Esteban Maroto, Barry Windsor-Smith and many others — Curtis Comics’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issue 1 from August of 1974. A white superb and sharp back cover with one dot to it near the top center, fantastic inner pages concise, sharp and even and the cover is phenomenal; truly a Very Fine+ copy, what a dazzler.

Stunning sagas and excellent escapades the entire magazine through and with a monumental Michael Whelan cover masterpiece to present it properly, Curtis Comics’ Kull and The Barbarians volume 1 collector’s edition issue number 1 from May of 1975, Neal Adams, Wally Wood, plus a remarkable frontispiece via John Severin, so many legends collaborated for this wonder. A glorious gem condition as the back cover is white and astonishing, gorgeous inner pages and a dazzling cover, wow.

The first appearance and origin of everyone favorite morbid old man and tale teller Uncle Creepy in this stupendous landmark — Warren Publishing’s Creepy Magazine volume 1 issue 1 from November of 1964, Jack Davis cover, Gray Morrow, Al Williamson, and six pages of stunning imagery from the legend above legends Frank Frazetta, like a murderer’s row of remarkable comic giants. Some browning to the inner pages but they’re mostly even and sharp, the last two pages have a few tiny chips to the bottom center edge, back cover has some brief print rubbing to the spine and very minor wear to the bottom, cover is nice with one tiny ding to center of right edge, a chip to the bottom center of spine near staple and slight scuff to the top of spine, faded crease to bottom center area.

A truly gorgeous cover of things that soon will go bump in the night and in this case The Man Who Cried Werewolf, the first appearance of Solomon Kane plus eight other segments of suspenses and scares like "Ghosties and Ghoulies and Things that Go Bump in the Brain," "The Thing in the Freezer,” “Vampire Tale,” “Skulls in the Stars,” “Portrait of the Werewolf as a Young Man: The Odyssey of Larry Talbot,” “One Foot in the Grave,” “The Fake,” World of Warlocks!" Curtis Comics Monsters Unleashed volume 1 issue number 1 from 1973, featuring work from Gene Colan, Syd Shores and tons others. Cover is delightful and cleans with only some brief nubbing to the top of spine, superb, sharp, even and clean inner pages almost completely and a nice white back cover.

The second scare-filled appearance of Solomon Kane as he finally meets Dracula and the first appearance of vampire Nimrod I, with of course the vampire king Vlad Tepes Dracul at the helm and fang filled forefront — Curtis and Marvel’s Dracula Lives! Volume 1 Issue number 3 from October of 1973, with the classic styled and beautiful cover from legend Neal Adams, coupled with wonderful work from Chris Claremont, Gerry Conway, John Buscema, Syd Shores and a slew of other stunners. Cover is fabulous with a tad bit of nubbing to the top of spine, gorgeous corners and edges throughout and back cover is white and sharp but with one faded and small browning stain to bottom.

Sword and sorcery from the creator of Conan The Barbarian, Robert E. Howard, two beginning steps in a spectacularly savage series with fierce battling including Blackmark, Red Sonja, Solomon Kane and King Kull himself — Curtis and Marvel’s Kull and The Barbarians volume 1 issues 2 and 3 from July and September of 1975, a beautiful pair of Michael Whelan cover works with beautiful Bernie Wrightson and Howard Chaykin frontispieces, stunning stuff throughout these mags. Both marvelous mags are Fine+ modestly, superb, sharp and clean in most places, both white and sharp backings with one tiny ding to left edge of issue 2.

A fantastic first printing of this novel TPB sized Marvel morsel following tales of the sentinel of the spaceways by Stan Lee with astonishing artwork as usual by Jack The King Kirby, a painted cover by Earl Norem (based on a sketch by Jack Kirby). The Silver Surfer is the only thing standing in the way of Earth and total annihilation at the hands of Galactus — Simon and Schuster’s The Silver Surfer The Ultimate Cosmic Experience from September of 1978, a spectacular Surfer softcover with 130 pages, full color and this graphic novel marks the last collaboration between the architects of the Marvel Universe and the godfathers of Modern Day Comics - Kirby and Lee. A like-new book in fantastic condition with only a very faint bit of rubbing to the line of the spine and top right corner of cover.

The magical and mystifying magician Merlin and brutal King and savage master Kull at the forefront to eash of these magazine sized fable collections: Curtis’ Marvel Preview volume 1 issues 19 and 22 from the Summers of 1979 and 1980, respectively, Bob Larkin and Earl Norem to the exciting and beautiful covers. Issue 19 has some brief creases and slight wear to the spine and a few spots to the perimeter edges of cover, slight browning to its inner pages with terrific edges mostly and back cover has a fold added top corner tip and browning to the perimeter edges, slight nub to the top of spine to issue 22 and some very faint creases to spine, browning slightly to inner pages, a tiny chip to bottom corner of backing and some browning to perimeter edges.

Two awesome Edgar Rice Burroughs magazine adaptations in one great grab: Marvel Movie Premiere volume 1 issue number 1 from September of 1975, the adaptation of The Land That Time Forgot with a phenomenal and unique Nick Cardy painted cover to it — included with this mag is a local newspaper clipping of the local cinemas with film times — then, Marvel Super Special volume 1 issue 29 the Tarzan Of The Apes adaptation from 1983, with a wondrous cover, frontispiece and backing art by Charles Ren. Some very slight rubbing and wear to the spine and bottom right corner tip of Marvel Movie Premiere, mostly nice and concise inner pages to both mags but a few faint and brief moments of waving to be inners of Movie Premiere, backing to it is white and perfect, Tarzan adaptation has a price stamping to the cover, some browning lines to perimeter and a faded stain marking to bottom left corner, nice backing.

Known for his work with Gandalf, Hobbits and the like, David Wenzel crafted page after page of stunning scenery and Baggins’ shenanigans with text by Lin Carter to this great Gollum delight, The Shire has never looked so nice — Centaur Books Middle Earth: The World Of Tolkien Illustrated by David Wenzel from 1977. Included is a red book mark with autograph and Gandalf sketch to it, no certificate or authentication included to it, book has a slight bend to the top right corner but even edges throughout the inners mostly, back cover has a few faint dings and a crease to that top corner, cover has some wear to the right opening edge and a few very minor dings to the perimeter edges and a spot or two of print smudge.

The final step of this spectacle-filled series, "The Battle Of The Barbarians" sees Red Sonja delivering a stolen page from the Book of Skelos to Karanthes, but Conan has tracked her there and wants the page for himself, treachery and swordplay afoot with Marvel Feature volume 2 issue number 7 from November of 1976, with an appearance by Belit The Queen Of The Black Coast via Roy Thomas and Frank Thorne. Truly terrific inner pages that are concise and clean, back cover is white and sharp with a few faint surface dings to it, no concerns with the very delightful cover.

The sky rider of the space planes shown here in "And Who Shall Mourn Him," in his ongoing quest to free himself from his imprisonment on Earth, Surfer finds a new ally in physicist Al B. Harper. Working together to free the Surfer, both men must abandon their task when the Stranger appears and attempts to destroy all life on earth — Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 5 from April of 1969, a fantastic flashback including the X-men, Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants included. Cover has some surface scuffs and creasing to spine, slight wear to the bottom right tip of cover, one chip to the bottom of back cover with some slight scattered wear to it and the inners are mostly even and nice with a few dings to bottoms.

"Worlds Without End" and “The Unsuspecting” are the two terrific tales to this Norrin Radd feature that includes the first appearance and apparent death of Overlord, the Buscema brothers, Frank Brunner and Stan Lee show Uatu The Watcher watching like many a fascinated reader has, Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 6 from June of 1969. Cover is fabulous with one tiny minor ding to the top center edge and one surface minor scuff to the bottom center edge, a very brief and faded pencil marking to the top right corner of backing with one super small print rubbing spot to top center edge, typically nice and concise inner pages to this copy.

The Buscema brothers, Bill Everett and Stan Lee present "The Heir Of Frankenstein," Victor Frankenstein's heir creates a duplicate Silver Surfer as his ultimate monster and the Power Cosmic could prove to powerful for the macabre bunch, the first appearances of Shalla-Bal, Borgo, Baron Ludwig Von Frankenstein, Frankenstein’s Monster and Victor Frankenstein — Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue 7 from August of 1969. Some slight nubbing to the bottom of spine, two small surface dings to the right edge of cover, even, sharp and concise inner pages but the first 8 or so pages have a repeating crease bend to the bottom corner and back cover is white and sharp with some faint scattered dings to the perimeter.

An almost direct adaptation of a Robert E. Howard original story nominated Best Story in 1972 by the Academy of Comic Book Arts, the first appearances of The High Priest Yara, Gigantic Spider, the Elephant Tower, The Black Lotus, and more, "The Tower Of The Elephant" Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 4 from April of 1971, the triple team of typical titans Barry Windsor-Smith, Roy Thomas and Sal Buscema to this gem. Cover is superb and sharp not even a single slight crease to its perimeter edges, brief browning to the inners and backing but sharp edges and smooth clean surfaces everywhere, truly a terrific copy.

John Buscema, Dan Adkins and Stan Lee to this first appearance of The Flying Dutchman Ghost I, "Now Strikes The Ghost," Mephisto pulls the soul of the Flying Dutchman from limbo and transformers him into "The Ghost while Shalla Bal dreams of the Silver Surfer in earth orbit and briefly finds herself astral projected to his side, then, Back on earth, the Flying Dutchman's Ghost launches an attack on the people of New York, Surfer spectacles for sure in Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 8 from September of 1969, a very cryptic and cool Death cameo as well. A sensational cover with only some super slight tiny and faded creases to its spine, inner pages are all awesome, sharp and even with only a few dings to bottoms, back cover is white, sharp and clean, making this a very fantastic copy.

The second part of the sensational Surfer versus Mephisto / Ghost I Flying Dutchman battle here from John Buscema and company, Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 9 from October of 1969, "To Steal The Surfer’s Soul." A slight few faint faded creases to the spine and right corners of nice cover, frontispiece has a few very minor dent dings to it, excellent and even inner pages with great corners and back cover is white and sharp with only a few minor creases to the left edge.

"Zukala’s Daughter" is a story adapted and inspired from a Robert E. Howard poem and introduces the first appearances of many a character, including titular Zukala, Zephra, Jaggta-Noga and the Dragon Hilt Blade, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 5 from May of 1971, with another stunner cover from Barry Windsor-Smith and Sam Rosen. Speaking of cover, it’s spectacular with hardly any creases to its edges just a browning shade marking to the center of spine, excellent inner pages almost entirely with only a few faint dings to their bottoms and back cover has a similar browning scuff marking to its spine and a faint marking to its top.

Shalla Bal journey's to earth to be reunited with the Silver Surfer happens here, The Surfer, trying to learn more about what motivates mankind, attempts to live among them but finds himself caught up in the resistance to a military coup in an unnamed South American country in "A World He Never Made," Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 10 from November of 1969, the first appearances of Yarro Gort, El Capitan and Donna Maria Perez. Mostly delightful and even inner pages with one ding to their edge, back cover has some slight print rubbing to the perimeter and a few minor smudges and scuffs, sensational cover with a print rubbing to the top right corner and faint creasing to the spine.

The death of Yarro Gort and El Capitan in this continuation from last issue’s spectacle, Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 11 from December of 1969, "O, Bitter Victory," Victory has been assured but the life of a fellow friend has not been and Surfer must rush for help before a life slips away in his hands, this very comic actually featured in a scene with Richard Gere in the 1983 film Breathless. Cover remains outstanding with wonderful edges and surface, equally awesome inners with sharp corners, very faint browning to back cover perimeter that is delightful mostly.

Roy Thomas, Barry Windsor-Smith and Sal Buscema still firing brutal beauties with early examples in this stellar award winning series, another awesome example here is "Devil Wings Over Shadizar," the first appearances of many a minor and medium characters such as Fafnir, Blackrat, The Night Cult and the Night-God, Jenna, Maldiz and more whilst Crom is invoked, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 6 from June of 1971. Cover remains astonishingly good with hardly a minor blemish to it, great and even inner pages with some dings to some bottoms and back cover is sharp and superb.

Buscema and Lee’s "Gather, Ye Witches" goes as such: A Coven of Witches gather at Stonehenge, and use an incapacitated Silver Surfer's power to summon the Abomination back to earth from the Stranger's homeworld. They find they're unable to control him, and the Abomination runs amok until the Silver Surfer revives. Despite being used against his will in their ritual, the Surfer agrees to the witches request to stop the Abomination, astonishing stuff as usual for this series, Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 12 from January of 1970, the first appearance of The Warlock Prime and Sibyl Carruthers amidst the Hulk crew. One lone and minor crease to the bottom corner of the terrific and white an sharp back cover while the inner pages are mostly clean, even and concise, cover has sensational sharp edges and surface with hardly a blemish to it.

The pen is mightier than the sword that swings heavy with this unusual and spectacular item seldom seen, however this is different and unique — first, a Limited to 2000 copies portfolio sleeve signed and numbered by John Buscema himself, with the cover illustration and signature by the legend, inside would typically be six original slate Conan prints by Buscema, however, inside this treasure is 7 Frank Frazetta sketch B/W sketch prints ( all shown in pictures) measuring 15 x 11 each, no further information could be found (trust me I tried), the prolific artist above artists and almost undeniably of the top ten greats ever accomplished countless works and sketches, I believe this to be a similar portfolio in the manner of Buscema’s Conan. So basically you’re getting the best of two art legends’ work — a signed and numbered Buscema portfolio sleeve, then 7 Frank Frazetta sketch prints. The portfolio itself does have wear and tear, wear to the bottom edge of it and two tears to the flanking top edge flaps, slight rubbing moments, all Frazetta prints are enclosed in two cardboard and taped boards with spreadsheet between both sides of prints, prints themselves have faint browning to edges and slight creasing and bend to bottom right corner. Portfolio sleeve is labeled 1980 copyright SQ Productions, no further info on Frazetta prints.

Ranked #77 in Wizard Magazine's list of "100 Best Single Issue Comics Since You Were Born," this Charles Vess cover is truly iconic and memorable to say the least, "Til Death Do Us Part,” Marvels Web Of Spider-Man volume 1 issue 1 from April of 1985, many somewhat minor first appearances in this gem such as Sugar Face, Pigeon, The Vulturians, Honcho, Gripes but most notably for this gem, the (supposed) destruction of the Alien Symbiote. Some slight waving to the top of introduction page and a few seldom dings to some inner bottoms, mostly nice corners and edges and also with the back cover that is white and sensational, cover is remarkable and basically blemish free.

The Silver Surfer battles an out of control robot created by the U.S. military called "The Doomsday Man" here in his first appearance besides Doctor John Kronton, Norrin Radd soaring through NYC streets via John Buscema and Dan Adkins awesome artwork — Marvels Solver Surfer volume 1 issue number 13 from February of 1970. Cover is fabulous with only some faint nubbing to the bottom corner of spine, a white and dazzling back cover coupled with excellent and sharp inner pages, a very nice copy indeed.

Still my favorite cover of this series thanks to Marie Severin and Joe Sinnott joined by Dan Adkins and John Buscema regulars for this Sentinel Of The Spaceways sensation that sees appearances by Galactus, the FF, Overlord and others: Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 15 from April of 1970, "The Flame and The Fury!" Some slight and very faint creases to the staples and spine area of delightful cover, some dings to some bottoms of inners but they remain fabulous and even in most places, a white sharp backing, this one is a beauty.

Nick Fury and Shield appear with the ill will of the deadly dark demon not far, Mephisto manipulates the Silver Surfer into attacking Shield, to free the captive Shalla Bal with this Norrin Radd number that also features cool cameos from The Thing and Human Torch of FF, Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 17 from June of 1970, "The Surfer Must Kill!" Again, similarly like the prior issues, a faint few faded tiny creases to the spine, delightful inner pages with great edges and some seldom dings to bottoms, back cover is white, nice and sharp.

This Surfer series finale brought out the big guns with Black Bolt, Medusa, Lock-Jaw and the rest of the Inhumans appearing amidst the skyrider, Jack The King Kirby and Herb Trimpe take over on awesome art duty for this send-off — Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 18 from September of 1970, "To Smash The Inhumans." A near perfect white and sharp back cover the is super clean, some typical dings to inner page bottoms but they’re mostly all even, sharp cornered and concise, cover however has one minor rip to the top center edge, a slight nubbing to the bottom right corner tip and faint few creases to the spine.

How often do you get an entire comic book series in one fell swoop? Here swings upon the vines of delight Tarzan, Ironwolf and John Carter of Mars’ grouping series all together in one grab with many stories from the marvelous mind of legend Edgar Rice Burroughs — DC’s Weird Worlds volume 2 issues 1 all the way through the series finale issue 10, spanning September of 1972 into November of 1974, that’s ten total issues together jumping off with a Joe Kubert cover and adventuring from then on. All books range from Very Good to Fine+ mostly the latter, some slight brief moments of edge wear and scuff moments perhaps but the covers all remain outstanding with hardly any creases amongst the lot of them, backings are mostly sharp and white, one small chip to the corner tip of issue 1’s back cover. Take a gander at this lot!

A creatively conjuring diver piece from legend Gene Colan as this sorcerer supreme sampling showcases the first appearances of Satannish and Lord Nekron, Stephen Strange quickly realizes that Clea may not be able to assimilate to life on earth then late he and Victoria are tricked into visiting London by a satanic disciple — Marvels Doctor Strange volume 1 issue number 174 from November of 1968, "The Power And The Pendulum!" Cover is good with some minor creasing and chipping to the center of spine, some brief browning and minor print rubbing to the perimeter edges of back cover while the inners are good and even but some have some fold creases to corners and tips.

The usual super cool crew of Barry Windsor-Smith, Sal Buscema and Roy Thomas to this Cimmerian presentation, the first appearance of Set, Thoth-Amon and The Man-Serpents plus many other minors, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 7 from July of 1971, "The Lurker Within!" The BWS cover is spectacular with very wonderful edges and spine, inner pages are even and concise with some slight browning and back cover is similar with great edges and brief browning to perimeter.

The greatest sword and sorcery superhero of all still being adapted from Robert E. Howard fables early in this series, "The Keepers Of The Crypt" sees the first appearances of Corinthian Soldiers and Captain Burgun — Marvel Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 8 from August of 1971, with cover image modifications by the legend John Romita, the woman’s face is uncanny for the legend’s style. Said cover has some minor wear to the top of the spine, excellent otherwise and elsewhere while the inner pages have similar super good edges but browning to them and back cover is white and sharp with minimal print rubbing to spine.

Grab your sword and enter "The Garden Of Fear" for this fantastic foray into fierce territory, based on the story by creator Robert E. Howard of the same name, the first comic appearance of said Garden Of Fear, The Emerald Tower and the Mountain People whilst the savage master is against a horde of rampaging beasts — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 9 from September of 1971. A superb and spectacular cover condition so clean and sharp, sensational inner pages with not many dings to bottoms and backing is a beaut with only very faint browning.

The fiery and ferocious first appearance of the Bulk Of Anu aka The Bull Of Heaven plus other lesser Anu characters with a seperated Black Knight and Kull segment to this three taled treasure — Marvel Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 10 from October of 1971, "Beware The Wrath Of Anu." Marie Severin of course draws Kull to the bottom of cover and speaking of cover, it remains superb check out that spine, mostly dazzling inner pages with a few seldom dings and backing is sharp as well, one of the nicer copies of this issue I’ve seen easily.

This solo issue story "Rogues In The House" sees Barry Windsor-Smirh and company creating the first appearance of Thak, Murilo and Ch’Indra — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 11 from November of 1971, touted as the longest and greatest Conan epic ever, whilst Thak does menace the savage for some great scenes. Some dings to bottoms but the inner pages remain mostly clean, concise and sharp, back cover has excellent corners and edges and only a slight bit of browning to the top edge, main cover is fabulous with only some minor surface print rubbing to the bottom left corner, top right corner and one moment by the bottom staple.

The first appear of Queen Yaila and the Servants Of Fatima plus super cool appearances by creators Roy Thomas and Gil Kane to the second segment as hosts, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 12 from December of 1971, "The Dweller In the Dark" and “The Blood Of The Dragon!” Cover is superb and sharp not a crease to it, slight browning to backing and inners but great edges to them totally.

Story plotted by John Jakes, the author of "Brak, the Barbarian" and further fleshed out by the fantastic Roy Thomas, "Web Of The Spider-God" sees the first appearances of The Brotherhood, Omm The Unspeakable, and the Zamoran City of Yezud — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 13 from January of 1972, another stunner cover via Windsor-Smith as usual. A near flawless and sharp cover condition, some browning to inners with some dings to page bottoms and backing is super nice with only some minor print rubbing to bottom area.

The second appearance of Elric King of Melnibone and the first appearance of Zephra, the savage slayer and the king Elric against the slashing swords of chaos in this Michael Moorcock / Roy Thomas adapted storyline — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 15 from May of 1972, "The Green Empress Of Melnibone!" Cover is delightful and excellently sharp (check out those edges and corners!), equally great edges to the inner pages that do have some browning and back cover is similar but slight nubbing to the top left corner tip.

Another jolly good Joe Kubert jam with the legends’ work on cover and jungle junky inner imagery, DC’s Tarzan volume 1 issue number 209 from June of 1972, the third ever DC Tarzan epic and third part to the beginning story arc "A Mate for the Ape-Man (Part 3)" plus "Fight for Life" reprinted from a newspaper strip originally printed on January 10th, 1932 and "A Fair Captive from the Sky" John Carter story. Cover is dangerously close to blemish free, super faint wear to the tips, sharp clean and crisp inner pages mostly with a few seldom dings to the many 52 pages total, back cover is white with some minor browning to perimeter edges.

"The Mark Of Kane" and “Fangs of The Gorilla God” both together, the first and second color appearances of Solomon Kane, the latter adapted from Robert E. Howard's "Red Shadows" and including the first appearances of the African Shaman N’longa and Chief Songa, the former also including the first appearances of The Wolf and Gaston with this Roy Thomas and Howard Chaykin pairing — Marvel Premiere volume 1 issues 33 and 34 from December of 1976 and February of 1977. Both covers remain very nice with only some very brief creasing to spine of 33, superb and sharp backings to the both of them with issue 33 having a teensy tiny bend to top corner tip, great and concise inners.

The remaining four issues to this Giant-Size series collecting Conan tales galore, featuring some of the greatest and earliest moments to the savage warrior’s spectacular adventures and dangers via Sal Buscema, Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith — Marvels Conan The Barbarian Giant Size Nos.2-5 spanning December of 1974 into September of 1975, with four new treasure covers from Top Palmer, John Romita, Gil Kane and other greats. All four covers range from Good to Fine, a small rip to top near spine of issue 5, some wear to the spine of issue 3 and nubbing to its ends, very faint wear to spine of issue 2, super minor browning line to right edge of issue 4, a minor chip and rip to the back of issue 5, good inners mostly to all four with 68 pages to each, some typical dings to bottoms, a taped back corner to issue 3, browning inner pages to issue 5.

The first three terrific King-Size Annuals with 48 action packed pages to each, "The Phoenix on The Sword," a reprint of the 1st story from Savage Sword of Conan number 3 (originally printed as At the Mountain of the Moon-God / Chapter 2: Where Dark Death Soars), and “The Return Of The Conqueror,” the last two with a tremendous cover via John Buscema and issue 2 with cover by Dan Adkins and that issue containing the first appearances of The Rebel Four and Epemitreus The Sage: Marvels Conan The Barbarian King-Size Annuals issues 2, 3 and 4 spanning 1976, 77 and 78. All three covers are very nice, clean and sharp mostly with a few faint chips to bottom of issue 2, very very nice, even and concise inner pages to the entire lot some seldom dings to bottoms but great sharp corners and even edges, backings are mostly all white and sharp, some very brief waving to the center of spine of issue 4.

Beginning brutally and a bunch of barbaric beauty here with ten issues to this terrific lot, omitting issues 23 and 24, this lot spans Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, and 27, July of 1972 into June of 1973, beautiful examples from Barry Windsor-Smith and crew. These are honestly and truly very clean and sharp copies entirely, the only even moderate blemish to mention is a tiny pen marking to the top corner of backing to issue number 20, only very very faint moments of wear but very seldomly, brief browning within.

Continuing courageously through this captivating collection, another gigantic and titanic ten issue lot, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 and 37, spanning July of 1973 into April of 1974, furthering the adventures of the savage master and slayer above all. Again, as shown in the many pictures provided, the bulk of this Conan collection has been kept and stored well, issues rang from Fine to Very Fine mostly, only concern to even mention is some very faint edge wear to the left edge of back cover to issue 33 and some brief edge wear to bottom of backing to issue 28, brief browning to inners.

The amazing artwork doesn’t cease simply because this series continues deep, Neal Adams, Ernie Chan, Gil Kane, John Buscema accompany the titan Barry Windsor-Smith with some of these gems plus a cool team up with the fiery haired and fierce vixen Red Sonja to issue 43 and 44; Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46 and 47, spanning May of 1974 into February of 1975. Really clean, sharp, smooth and Fine copies if not even better as the conditions are still superb to this collection, only very brief browning, some slight browning to the back covers of two spines, white and sharp otherwise and everywhere else.

Slashing right along in this savage series and reaching a point when marvelous artist Mike Ploog joined in on the brutal fun, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56 and 57 spanning March to December of 1975. Some slight brief browning to some inners and a few spines of some white backings, one chip to the top left corner of cover of issue 56, some faint print rubbing to the top left corner near corner box of issue 57, two tiny chips to the back opening edge of issue 54, issue 51 has some similar print rubbing fading to the corner box, a nubbing to the top and a faded marking to the top left corner of issue 49, mostly very nice issues.

Beginning with the second appearance of Belit to issue 58 and some issues including awesome artwork from the absolute legend John Romita, the savagery, suspense and stunning stories don’t stop here: Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66 and 67, spanning January of 1976 into October of 1976. Almost entirely Very Good, sharp and clean covers to this lot, some browning to a few spines of back covers and enter pages, issue number 64 has some print rubbing to the top left corner, similar condition for issue 63 rubbing to the top left corner of cover and a slight scuff to the bottom right corner with that issue, having some slight browning into the perimeter of back cover, issue 62 has some scuffs to the top left corner and two chips to the left edge of back cover, issue 61 has some faded creasing to the top right corner and nubbing to the bottom right corner that echoes through to some of the pages, issue 60 has some slight browning to back cover, issue 59 has a slight chip and print rubbing to the top left edge and a folded bottom corner tip to the back cover, issue 58 has some slight shipping and slight browning.

Reaching a period of savagery after BWS had left the series somewhat so John Buscema, Ernie Chan and Gil Kane take the reins for this reign of radical adventure and battle, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, and 77 spanning November of 1976 into August of 1977, with Conan’s Wife Belit Queen of the Black Coast assisting with the astonishing action through many issues. Some minor browning to the spines and perimeter edges of some back covers, mostly excellent edges throughout, issue number 76 has some brief numbing to the bottom, right corner of cover and some slight Edgeware to the back cover, issue 73 has some brief browning to the corner box and back cover perimeter edges, Similar browning to the back perimeter of issue 72, issue 71 has some slight nubbing to the bottom right corner tip and some slight browning to the spine and perimeter back cover, similar issue 70 browning to the back perimeter, most issues remain very good.

Dabbling in the voodoo with Zula’s first appearance and origin issues and including the incredible teaming of Red Sonja through some of these barbaric epics and savage sagas, beasts and baddies beware, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, and 86 spanning September of 1977 into June of 1978. Only very very minor blemishes and concerns with this lot such as slight and brief browning to back cover perimeters and inner pages somewhat, a few faint moments of edge wear to a back cover or two, a minor chip to the right edge of cover to issue 79, mostly delightful and sharp covers.

Concluding this Conan volume 1 collection with the ending on the double length 10th anniversary issue (number 115), and including dark and brutal spectacles with Crypts, Sea-Witches, Swamp Rats, creatures of all sorts and beyond: Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99 and finally issue 115, July of 1978 all the way to October of 1980, a gaggle of grizzly battles contained within this lovely last lot. Some slight waving to the front and back covers of issue 89, browning and brief edge wear to some back cover perimeters. Slight waving and creases to the center of spine to issue 96, one chip to the top left corner cover tips of issues 92 and 91, brief browning to some inner pages and scattered minor dings to bottoms, tiny chip and small bend to back to issue 115.

Two vintage novel nuggets of wonder here: first, the Robert M. Overstreet Price Guide from 1975 featuring catalogs and illustrated price lists from throughout all of comic-dom since 1903, some brilliant imagery and comic gems logged from the birth of comics and before the Golden Age even, then, Berkeley Putnam’s Authorized Book Club Edition of Robert E. Howard’s Conan The Hour Of The Dragon from 1977 that includes the first and only ever Conan novel written from Howard himself and including moments and excerpts from Conan’s first appearance in Weird Tales from 1932. The Overstreet is in good condition with only some minor surface scuffs and tiny dings to front and back, great many inner pages to it, Hour Of The Dragon book itself is clean and sharp with some spots of surface wear and creases to the dust jacket front and back.

Such a beautiful and magnificent painted cover by legend John Buscema and rightfully so with his storied history with these two characters, two segments to this marvelous magazine, Conan and Red Sonja separate, "Trail Of The Blood-Stained God," and “Day Of The Red Judgment,” the first appearance of The Bloodstained God and Zora, respectively, with this wondrous Robert E. Howard adapted action — Marvel Comics Super Special volume 1 issue number 9 from January of 1979. The painted cover remains beautiful and brilliant with wonderful surface and edges, slight browning to inner pages and back cover perimeter edges with one minor brown stain to the bottom.

A truly beautiful Badia painted cover image with a dark yet delightful B/W Craig Russell image to the frontispiece for this epic, Curtis Comics The Savage Sword Of Conan Super Annual Issue volume 1 issue 1 from 1975, featuring two fierce and ferocious fables for the Barbarian and with Windsor-Smith, Buscema and Roy Thomas work plus more inside this gem. Superb and sharp cover with outstanding edges, even clean and concise inners almost completely with hardly any dings and a white and sharp back cover.

Three tremendous Robert E. Howard adaptations in one magnificent magazine of marvelous battles and first appearances such as the Army Of Khoraja, Natohk The Veiled One, Grogar and more in "Black Colossus," “Blackmark Chapter 2,” and “The Beast From The Abyss,” Curtis’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issue number 2 from October of 1974, and with Neal Adams, John Buscema and Gil Kane artwork it’s undeniably awesome imagery throughout. Mostly fantastic inner pages that are sharp and clean, back cover is white and nice but some waving to the top right corner and a tiny folded corner tip to the top left tip, cover is dazzling and superb.

When you get legends together like Chris Claremont, Roy Thomas, Tony DeZuniga, Barry Windsor-Smith, and Gil Kane, you know you’re in for bonafide brilliant work and those and many other legend collaborated on this creation, the third step in the Barbarian’s series, Curtis’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issue number 3 from December of 1974, Kull, Blackmark and Conan to their respective radical tales. Very clean, sharp and wonderful inner pages with great corners completely, back cover is also white and sharp however some very minor wear to the center of bottom edge, cover is outstanding and blemish-less.

Three truly beautiful and breathtaking covers from the legend above legends Boris Vallejo and one cover by Alex Nino and Frank Magsino to this treasure lot of four mags of savage power — Curtis’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 numbers 4, 5, 6, and 7 from February, April, June and August of 1975, with a smattering of writer and other art gods compiled work with these Robert E. Howard adaptations. All four of these issues are in incredible shape, clean and fresh inner pages with great edges, outstanding blemish free white backings, no creases to the covers, just delightful.

Several spectacular segments by various writer and art icons of the industry however issue 11 is an unusual one story full novel length epic with most of these Conan and King Kull tales adapted from the marvelous work of Robert E. Howard and a beautiful cover from Frank Brunner to issue 8. Curtis’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issue numbers 8, 9, 10, and 11 from October of 1975 into April of 1976. All four mags are outstanding in condition, clean and sharp, white backings, even concise inner pages, blemish free fantastic covers aplenty.

Brilliant and truly vivid covers from Boris Vallejo, Hescox, and Earl Norem with these savage sagas of sword swinging spectacle featuring the Barbarian above others, King Kull and Solomon Kane — Curtis’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issues 12, 13, 14 and 15 from June, August, September and October of 1976. As with all of this particular series, super clean and sharp copies one after the other, beautiful covers with no damages, sharp and white backings and fresh, fantastic inner pages with great corners and edges.

Another astonishing stab at brutal beauty with wonderful work from Vallejo, Earl Norem, John Buscema and many others tackling tales of Conan, Solomon Kane and Kull — Curtis’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issues 16, 17, 18 and 19 spanning December of 1976 into June of 1977. Some super faint creasing and extremely minor print rubbing to the spine of issue 18’s cover, tiny bit of nubbing to the top left corner of issue 19, very brief browning moments to the backing of issue 19, and that does it for even minor blemishes to this lot, lovely, lush, sharp and crisp everywhere else.

Horrors, thrills and brutal scenes of battle the name of the game yet again with these four awesome and astounding samples of savagery, Curtis’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issues 20, 21, 22 and 23 spanning July to October of 1977, three extraordinary Earl Norem covers that just dazzle and delight. Beautiful, sharp, clean copies again, slight super brief browning to an edge or two and two super faint creases to the backings altogether.

Slithering swamp serpents, enormous tarantulas, conjured demons, Sabretooth tigers, beasts and war within these barbaric and brutal pages plus a fantastic Solomon Kane versus Dracula segment to one of these marvelous mags: Curtis’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 numbers 24, 25, 26 and 27 spanning November of 1977 into March of 1978. Some browning to inner pages, back cover perimeter of issue 24 with some chipping to the center of the spine and top left corner of its cover, some browning and waving to inners of issue 23 with a slight nubbing to top of spine, browning to inner pages and back cover perimeter, nice edges elsewhere and mostly great covers.

"The Scarlet Citadel," “The Flame Knife Saga Parts 1 & 2,” and “The Curse Of The Monolith,” the bulk and forefront fables to these four Robert E. Howard adapted samples of savagery and sorcery, Curtis The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issues 30, 31, 32 and 33 from June, July, August and September of 1978, Roy Thomas, John Buscema, Frank Brunner and others behind the brutal pages work. All four covers are very nice and sharp, one minor chip to the center of spine and super faint wear to it for issue 31, surface scuffs to the top and bottom of spine for issue 30, very even and concise inner pages to all copies, backings are sharp and white but with varying levels of browning to perimeter edges.

The final seven steps of savagery to this spectacular collection’s series, including the 100th milestone issue with Joe Jusko cover art, the rest remain masterpieces from the excellent Ernie Chan and Earl Norem, "Dark Eyes Of Death," “Lair Of The Ice Worm” and many other morsels — Curtis’ The Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issues 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 47 and 100, October of 1978 all the way into May of 1984. All covers remain very sharp and nice with only issue 47 having some browning to surface and perimeter plus some chipping to right edge, a few chips to bottom tips of issue 35 but typically very nice and even sharp inner pages for this lot, backings are white and sharp mostly with some having varying levels of browning to perimeter edges.

Foreword by Federico Fellini for this artist’s tribute to comic history involving some of the greatest Golden and Silver Age characters, moments, issues and events, Supergraphics Steranko History Of Comics Volumes 1 and 2 from 1970, a stunning capture of all of comic-dom by one of the greats and in his own way, only two volumes for this complete set. Very nice, white and sharp inner pages usually to both huge books, intro page to Volume 2 has a super minor smudge to top right corner, volume 2 has some surface rubbing to the opening edge of back cover, volume 1 has some slight moments of waving and brief wear to a few seldom pages, cover has some super minor creases to the spine, slight wear and a minor residue to top right corner and right edge, left corner tip edge wear.

Steve Rogers shines in his red white and blue beauty, as Jack "The King" Kirby crafted this king size spectacular with our hero battling and adventuring in big page after big page and ending with a handshake with good old Uncle Sam — Marvel Treasury Special volume 1 issue 1 from 1976 Captain America’s Bicentennial Battles. Some creasing and wear to the very long spine and a warping to the top edge of book, back cover is clean and sharp while the inner pages are big, even and sharp as well mostly, a few chips to bottom tips and very brief browning, a small surface dissolving to thigh of Cap on cover.

Frank Miller has already been established and well known but one could argue his creation Sin City made him a household name and an undeniable icon and legend in comic history, the dark noir vibe stays firm with this commemorative binder set with collectors cards. Cards are all sleeved and number 1-72 a complete set and included is one uncut sheet with six card images to it, Dynamic Forces Frank Miller’s Sin City complete card set with matching binder from 1999. Only some minor dust to binder, cards all are like-new and clean.

Curt Swan and comic creator company cohorts collaborated on this captivating Legion Of Super Heroes focused capture, the origin and first chronological appearance of Ultra Boy in the brilliant: DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue 316 from January of 1964. Mostly concise and sharp white inner pages, back cover has a small dated stamping to the right top corner and some scattered crease dents to the perimeter, cover is excellent with a small faded border of browning to bottom edge, very nice copy.

Whether or not this issue was actually the first cameo appearance of the Time Trapper is it for debate, while some sites say so, others disagree, best left up to the readers to decide, but in any case it’s a great Curt Swan cover with Superboy and the LoSH leaving dust in their space wake with "The Mutiny Of The Legionnaires," DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 318 from March of 1964. Some very slight print scuffing to the spine and a few faded and faint dense to the perimeter of back cover, mostly outstanding in pages with only a few dings to bottoms here and there, and exceptional cover condition, sharp crisp, and clean.

The crimson speedster zips along with fellow JLA buddies Green Arrow and Green Lantern with "Killing of An Archer Part 1 and 2" plus “Five Times Flash Is Fatal” and “The Flash Of A 1000 Faces,” even the JSA’er Black Canary makes an appearance with this Nick Cardy, Neal Adams, Cary Bates, Dennis O’Neil double dose of rapid dynamite — DC’s The Flash volume 2 issues 217 and 218 from September and November of 1972. Outstanding Very Fine copies the both of them, covers remain sharp and clean as do the backings that are white and sharp only too left corner of backing to issue 217 has a very faded and faint small pencil marking, inner pages even clean and consistent with only a few dings to bottoms.

The magnificent writer and illustrator Mike Grell made more than a mark with this marvelous series featuring Oliver Queen the Green Arrow in more a mature and gritty representation, DC’s Green Arrow volume 2 issues number 1, 2, and 3, the first three gems to the series spanning February, March and April of 1988, "Hunter’s Moon Part 1 & 2," and “The Champions,” with Black Canary her deadly self being a mainstay character in this stunner series. All three of these copies are super, clean and Very Fine, not a single crease or speck to the covers, backings or even and concise inners.

As beautiful, unique and unmistakable as the dazzling Dave McKean covers are to this stupendous series, the goings on inside are astonishing, John Constantine finally gets his own series in this premiere issue of the now well-loved Hellblazer title, in which he must help quell a terrible, mysterious hunger that is consuming the citizens of New York City — Vertigo and DC’s Hellblazer volume 1 issue 1 from January of 1988, the first solo series with the now household name John Constantine thanks to Keanu Reeves’ film adaptation, plus the first appearance of Papa Midnite, the British Boys and Chad Chandler, features a brief few words to the backing from creator Alan Moore as well, the mad scientist writer. Issue is a super nice and superb one, clean, sharp and smooth everywhere, only very faint wear to spine edge.

Jamie Delano, John Ridgway and Dave McKean forge forward with phenomenal dark and delightful content for this series and here goes the second two steps to it, the second appearance of Papa Midnite, deaths of Mnemoth and Gary Lester, plus a cameo from Belial and first appearance of Ray Monde— DC and Vertigo’s Hellblazer volume 1 issues 2 and 3 from February and March of 1988, "A Feast Of Friends" and “Going For It.” Both issues are truly beautiful, clean, sharp crisp and pristine everywhere with no blemishes.

Leaving devastation in his first appearances’ wake, how wonderful is this landmark? The first appearance of Luther Manning aka Deathlok The Demolisher aka the world’s most destructive and off-beat super hero, "A Cold Night's Frenzy." Half man, half machine. Created to be pure killer, but did his makers leave him too much human will? Deathlok is shown to be a robot with a human mind that has the ability to override its programming and has a flashback showing that his old army buddy Major Simon Riker is responsible for his creation — not to be left out, this gem also the first ever art published by now legend George Perez, Marvels Astonishing Tales volume 1 issue number 25 from August of 1974, Mike Esposito, Klaus Janson, George Perez and Rich Buckler behind the pages this beauty that is also the first appearance of Simon Ryker. Cover has some creasing to the spine and one faint crease to the top right corner, inner pages are clean, sharp and concise with almost no dings to them but there is a super super faint crease bend to some inners bottoms, back cover is sharp with only some very minor print rubbing lines and moments.

Rich Buckler and Doug Moench again not stopping with the firepower for the next few destructive doses of deadly delight, the second and third appearance of Deathlok, first and second appearance of War-Wolf, "Dead Reckoning," “The Enemy: Us,” and “Five To One, Deathlok,” — Marvel Astonishing Tales volume 1 issues 26, 27, and 28 from October, December and February of 1974-75. All three covers hover around Fine-, issue 26 has some slight creasing and nubbing to top right corner and a few faint ones to its spine, issue 27 is the nicest one lone tiny crease to top right tip, super minor print rubbing and tiny crease or two to spine of issue 28, backing has some brief print rubbing and or minor moments of cress bends but are nice, inner pages mostly all even, sharp and great.

Three random numbered yet still radical and dark delights from the John Constantine series here, three equally stunning and extraordinary covers from legend Dave McKean with this grouping, issue 9 a super cool Swamp Thing Constantine crossover, issue 12 the first appearances of Agony and Ecstasy, and issue 15 the second part to story arch "The Fear Machine," Vertigo and DC’s Hellblazer volume 1 issues 9, 12 and 15 from September and December of 1988 and January of 1989. All three of these issues are impeccable and super clean and sharp, one faint tiny lone crease to the top of issue 9, everything else remains excellent.

How will a living vampire fair against wooden weapons wielded by Blade the vampire slayer? Either way, it’s dynamite action via Gil Kane, John Romita, Steve Gerber and other outstanding legends with the first meeting between Morbius and Blade, Marvels Adventure Into Fear volume 1 issue number 24 from October of 1974, "Return To Terror" and "The Two-Faced Man." Some very faint dings and minor creases to the spine and cover, mostly even and concise inners with a few super brief crease dents to a few pages, backing is good and sharp.

Boston Brand breaks through to the other side with this first three haunts to his second solo series and including the first appearance and then origin of Major Mite via Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez and Andrew Helfer — DC’s Deadman volume 2 issues 1, 2 and 3 from March, April and May of 1986. All three of these issues are stunner copies, not a blemish to any of them, clean white backings, nice even inners and delightful covers.

Gil Kane, Vince Coletta and Steve Gerber providing the bites of dark vampiric delight right after Michael Morbius’ first solo story appearance in this series, a bunch of minor character first appearances with this three issue bloody lot — Marvel Adventure Into Fear volume 1 numbers 21, 22 and 23 from April, June and August of 1974, the final issue the first appearance of the humanoid race The Arcturians. Some creasing and slight dings to the cover spines, chip to bottom right edge of issue 21, creases to the center right edge of issue 22, and bottom right corner of issue 23, some print rubbing and slight waving to the backings, most inner pages are even and concise with good edges a few dings to their bottoms.

The first appearances of The Indestructible Man Conrad Carapax, Firefist, Prometheus, Max Fisher and others in this start up to a new series that sees the bugged eye’s hero come out of retirement to thwart many a villain — DC’s Blue Beetle volume 6 issues 1, 2 and 3 from June, July and August of 1986, "Out From The Ashes!" All three issues are clean, sharp and superb copies, check out these dazzling covers!

Five fangtastic bites from Michael Morbius in his series tenure here with Gil Kane, George Bell and a bunch of other notable creator talents included, Marvels Adventure Into Fear volume 1 issues 25, 26, 27, 28 and issue 30, spanning December of 1975 into October of 1975, many minor first appearances with these as the Boston Police Department and monstrous forces aplenty attempt to stop Morbius, Jared Leto look out. All five covers range around Fine- except issue 25 that has creasing wear to the right edges and spine, issue 25 has pen marking to the title and scattered creasing wear to the top area, much lesser creasing to the rest of the covers, most backings are white and sharp except issue 25 that has some wear and slight waving, great even inners mostly.

The first appearance of the team of Deadlock, Fourplay, Shogun, Cabbot and Tag, better known as Bloodstrike, begins here in the first two Rob Liefeld creations — Image Comics’ Bloodstrike volume 1 issues 1 and 2 from April and June of 1993, beginning with the "Blood Brothers Prelude" part 1 and 2(crossover with Brigade) and ending with “A Tale Of The Knight,” the first appearance of said Knight, a galactic fighting force. Both issues are beautiful and sharp, only a few super tiny and very brief creases to spine of issue 1 and some very brief nubbing to bottom left corner tip, everywhere else is excellent and even the staples are clean.

The first appearance of Fin Fang Foom, the Makluan dragon beast of very early Silver Age lore, with this wondrous Dick Ayers, Tony Isabella and Vince Coletta gem — Marvels Astonishing Tales volume 1 issue number 24 from June of 1974, "The Five Claws Of Death!" Cover is excellent with only some super minimal creasing and wear to the spine, very delightful backing with only some super minor print rubbing to spine and inners have faint browning but great corners and edges.

Even Dracula himself makes an appearance and is taken aback from the bloody scares with this series, the first Pat Broderick cover art for the first bite in this series also featuring the first appearances of Captain and Ellisa Galland, plus "Quest For Blood" and “Blood Lust,” and we’d be remiss to not mention the awesome Neal Adams / Dick Giordano covers — Atlas and Seaboard’s Planet Of Vampires volume 1 issues 1, 2 and 3 from February, April and July of 1975. Some creasing and slight wear to spines of covers while issue 3’s is nicest, issue 1 has most creasing to it, all 3 books have great inners with nice edges but slight browning, backings are mostly sharp and clean, minor print rubbing to backing of issue 3.
