Hank McCoy born anew with this beginning of his beastly furry look that would from here on become common place instead of his former human appearance, "The Beast" and his origin retold via legends Gil Kane, Bill Everett, Gerry Conway and Tom Sutton — Marvels Amazing Adventures issue number 11 from March of 1972, a landmark gem indeed. Clean, concise and even inner pages almost completely but one pages does have a folded tip to the bottom corner, back cover is very nice with slight print rubbing to the spine and cover has some brief creasing to the spine and bottom edge.

The first ever solo Morbius The Living Vampire feature here in all it’s fangtastic glory, Marvels Adventure Into Fear volume 1 issue number 20 from February of 1974, "Morbius The Living Vampire" and "Midnight in The Wax Museum," a wicked great Gil Kane cover to present it and Mike Friedrich with the many bites inside. Cover condition is exceptional with no creases to the spine or blemishes, inner pages are mostly clean and sharp with a few dings and some slight scuffs, back cover is white and sharp with some brief print rubbing to the perimeter.

"Aquaman, Coward King Of The Seas" is almost entirely a Nick Cardy presentation and the world is better for it as this is also the first fantastic appearance of Orm Marius, The Ocean Master, the outrageous Atlantis villain who craves the throne — DC’s Aquaman volume 1 issue number 29 from 1966, watery wonders the stuff of Atlantis legend throughout. The cover and spine especially are very shape and clean with this copy, only brief nubbing to top left corner, back cover has some brief browning to perimeter edges and the inner pages are mostly fantastic with concise and sharp corners and edges.

John Forte, Curt Swan, George Papp and many others in this outstanding Jimmy Olsen spectacle featuring the Greatest Scoops of Superman's Pal, DC’s 80 Page Giant volume 1 issue number 13 from August of 1965, and not even Lex Luthor can halt this lovely collection of Supes’ friend fables. One small rip to the bottom of spine of back cover and some faded foxing to the perimeter of it, mostly nice and even inner pages with a few dings, cover has tiny bit of nubbing to bottom of left corner, a brief few creases to the spine but overall a very good copy.

A beautiful Billy Graham cover to present the early beginnings of Power Man alongside awesome Archie Goodwin story work and gorgeous George Tuska inner imagery, "Mark Of The Mace" sees Cage thwarts the retired, renegade Colonel Mace from enacting a para-military disruption of NYC so that a robbery of Wall Street can be undertaken, Marvels Hero For Hire volume 1 issue number 3 from October of 1972, the first appearance of baddie Gideon Mace. A stunner Steve Ditko classic cover as he provided so consistently for this run for this second ever appearance of the Ted Kord Blue Beetle, "After The Fall, A New Beginning" and “Wanted For Murder,” Charlton Comics Captain Atom volume 2 issue number 84 from January of 1967. Concise and clean inner pages with great corners to them, intro page has a few factory print marks, back cover is very nice with some very brief print rubbing to the spine and two very faded stains to bottom edge, cover has some few faded creases to it over a very sharp copy indeed.

Another glorious Gil Kane cover for this beginning, origin and first appearance of Skull The Slayer in his self titled series, "Death At The Dawn Of Time" and “The Coming Of Skull The Slayer” via Marv Wolfman and even J.Jonah Jameson makes a rustled appearance, Marvels Skull The Slayer volume 1 issue number 1 from August of 1975. Some minor print rubbing to the bottom and spine of back cover and inner pages are delightful and concise, main cover has one a few faint creases to the top of spine but outstanding otherwise.

Absolute legends Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson together on this legendary cover for this key issue that features the first Silver Age appearance of The Black Canary and first appearance of her motorcycle as she joins the squad and the second ever appearance of the new Green Arrow, every page is a stick of Dennis O’Neil dynamite in this dynamic DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 75 from November of 1969, "In Each Man There Is A Demon!" A few faded dents and some print rubbing to the back cover and slight creasing to spine of it, inner pages are mostly nice with a few of the back pages having some slight nubbing to bottom tips, main cover has a diagonal crease dent to right corner area and some creasing to the spine and bottom right tip.

When the old gods died, there arose anew — almost too much outstanding to mention, the first appearance of The New Gods, Metron, Orion, Highfather, Kalibak, Lightray, the second full Darkseid appearance, and first appearances of Apokolips, New Genesis and the Source Wall in this iconic and incredible Jack Kirby gem, DC’s The New Gods volume 1 issue number 1 from March of 1971, "Orion Fights For Earth!" Truly excellent edges to most if not all of the inner pages with some browning and brown markings to the back cover, browning to frontispiece as well, main cover is marvelous with only a tiny nub to the very tip of top right corner.

An epic of awesome Atlantis proportions with Kirby/Colan/Coletta behind the water works with stunning imagery and cover, the first appearance of Lord Vashti and the second step with Sub-Mariner to the title in series, Marvels Tales To Astonish volume 1 issue number 71 from September of 1965. Some very faint yellowing to the very nice back cover with great edges and the inner pages have excellent edges and corners as well with a few dings to their bottoms, main cover is fabulous. A very delightful copy.

Wondrous work from the legendary Wally Wood of course, the first appearance of Doctor Sparta in this stunning part of the series, T.H.U.N.D.E.R. (The Higher United Nations Defense Enforcement Reserves) recruited only the best to BE the best. This organization was devised after World War Two to fight against all the regular spies and villains we imagined in the 1950s — Tower Comics Thunder Agents number 4 from April of 1966. A truly spectacular and sensational copy, the back cover is white and sharp with only faint print rubbing to the spine, inner pages are off-white and very nice with only a few seldom dings and a few minor print rubbings to intro page, fantastic cover condition.

The first monstrous step into a macabre and magnificent direction with this first of the series (previously titled Fear), Marvels Adventure Into Fear volume 1 issue number 10 (the first issue) from October of 1972 and featuring the awesome and tremendous Man-Thing with gigantic legends Don Heck, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Gray Morrow to the marvelous cover. Truly terrific back cover with clean edges and corners and that goes as well for the inner pages that are proper nice, cover remains tremendous with only brief surface rubbing to the perimeter edges and a tiny dot to top right edge area.

"A Refuge Divided" showcases about as iconic a cover as Hulk can get arguably and via the legendary Steranko of course, Marie Severin and Gary Friedrich to the inner delights of this lovely landmark issue, Marvels Hulk King-Size Special number 1 from October of 1968, the first appearances of Falcona, Skybreaker, The League Of Evil Inhumans, Leonus, Oracle, Romnar amongst many others. Black Bolt banishes six rebel Inhumans to the un-place for treason. Lockjaw takes them there but on his way back to the Great Refuge, he tangles with the Hulk whom he also takes to the un-place. Under the guidance of Maximus, the Hulk joins up with the evil Inhumans and they make their way back to the real world to remove Black Bolt from his throne. Realizing that the Hulk is an ally (after they beat on each other for awhile), Black Bolt offers to let the Hulk live in peace with the Inhumans but the jade giant declines the offer. Cover has some brief faded creases to the spine vertically but elsewhere is excellent, back cover is delightful with only two moments of print rubbing and inner pages are mostly proper concise and sharp. What a dazzler, Hulk smash!

"The Sea That Time Forgot" sees The Mist Men and Tigershark in a aquatic caper where the latter attempts to unleash a deadly water virus and Namor must thwart the threat, showcased with an ultra cool and haunting Marie Severin cover piece and her inner imagery and colors as well — Marvel Sub-Mariner volume 1 issue number 16 from 1969. Cover is excellent with only one very minor crease to the bottom right corner tip, a white and sharp backing with one crease dent and some super slight wear to the top left corner edge and inner pages are mostly very nice with only a few dings.

The radical Romita and team stamping this Spidey spectacle a sure-fire stunner as the treacherous Otto Octavius takes control of a 747 in flight and the air-bound action intensifies for our friendly neighborhood hero — Marvels Amazing Spider-Man volume 1 issue number 88 from September of 1970, "The Arms Of Doctor Octopus!" Sticker labeled a Fine- and I do concur as it is a very nice copy, back cover is white and sharp with only minor wear to the top edge, inner pages mostly clean and concise while intro page does have one small print smudge to top and cover is marvelous and crisp with great colors and edges and one super brief surface rubbing to top left corner.

Another stellar John Byrne, Chris Claremont, Terry Austin and George Perez (to the cover) mutant morsel — the ending of the Proteus short saga as the villain warps reality and matter around the mighty team, Marvels Uncanny X-men volume 1 issue number 128 from December of 1979. A very sharp and clean copy in almost every way, a white and sharp back cover with only one faded faint dent to the top left corner, mostly dazzling inner pages and the cover remains excellent with the faintest but of creasing to the spine.

Black Bolt and his comrades battle Blastaar the Living Bomb and then against the first appearance of Ghaidor and The Kaptroids in this incredible Frank Giacoia/Gil Kane/George Perez beginning two steps of the royal family’s powerful self titled series — Marvel Inhumans volume 1 issues number 1 and 2 from October and December of 1975. Both covers are very sharp and clean with hardly any imperfections, the two backings are white and sharp edged and the inner pages are mostly proper concise and even, two very nicely kept issues.

Nick Cardy and Bob Haney to this awesome Atlantis treasure, DC’s Aquaman volume 1 issue number 36 from December of 1967, "Who Seeks The Awesome Threesome," the first appearance of the evil three: Claw, Magneto and Torpedo Man. Some browning to the back cover with some spots and edges of wear, inner pages are good with that same slight wear and browning and main cover has crease wear to the spine and nubbing to the top of the spine.

Brilliant book here indeed, the first ever solo Silver Surfer story and the first appearance of Psycho Man in this three segmented spectacular — Marvels Fantastic Four King-Size Special issue number 5 from November of 1967, "Divide and Conquer" also included is the first appearances of Live-Wire and Shell Shock in this full length phenomenal gem. Cover is sensational with only brief moments of print rubbings, one tiny ding to the bottom of the spine of back cover and some minor yellowing to it, the very many inner pages are awesome, sharp, even and concise.

Iconic and landmark any way you slice it, a true gorgeous Gotham grab here with the first ever Neal Adams / Dennis O’Neil collaboration for Batman: DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 395 from January of 1970, "The Secret Of The Waiting Graves" and “Drop Out Or Drop Dead,” the legendary team would go on to establish gold with their work on the series and it started here. A wonderful white and sharp backing with hardly any blemishes, minor creases and minimal dings to the perimeter of the excellent cover and inner pages are super clean and crisp with only a few dings to their bottoms but mostly nice.

The first appearance of Belit and the first Giant-Size to a stupendous series that savaged over the sword and sorcery competition— Marvels Conan The Barbarian Giant-Size issue number 1 from September of 1974, Buscema, Romita, Kane, Thomas and of course Windsor-Smirh shining bright with their work on this "Hour of the Dragon," “The Stranger from Hell,” “When Mountains Reel,” and “The Twilight of the Grim Grey God” treasure, all featured in this fierce four fable epic. Cover is spectacular and sensational with perhaps a brief ding or two, mostly marvelous and concise inner pages and the back cover is crisp and white with only two moments of wear to the top edge and edge of the spine.

"The Temple of Abomination," and “Red Sonja” sees two thrilling tales: Red Sonja enters a temple and is attacked by a race of Satyrs, then when Red Sonja returns with a tiara she was sent for by King Ghannif she learns her "reward" is to be made a part of his harem, treacherous and terrific is this beginning — Marvel Feature volume 2 issue number 1 from November of 1975, with a stunner Gil Kane cover and Esteban Maroto, Neal Adams, and Dick Giordano to the inner magic. Phenomenal and concise inner pages and the back cover is white and superb, main cover is tremendous, truly a very nice copy.

Man-Thing and Ben Grimm have at it to epic extents in this gem and with the obligatory FF appearance, Marvel Two-In-One volume 1 issue number 1 from January of 1974, "Vengeance Of The Molecule Man!" The Thing is cooling his heels in the New Mexico desert when he decides to head to Florida and take on the Man-Thing for appropriating his name. In an alternate dimension, the Molecule Man has duplicated himself and his "son" decides to take vengeance on the Fantastic Four when his "father" dies. Instead of arriving in New York, Molecule Man finds himself in the Florida Swamp where Thing and Man-Thing are able to separate the villain from his power staff and reduce him to dust, and of course with gorgeous Gil Kane/John Romita cover piece for the ages. Brief faded wear to the spine and top edge of the white and sharp back cover, inner pages are mostly delightful and crisp and main cover is close to blemish free.

The first appearance of Dr. Tyme, a villain with the face of a clock that has the ability to manipulate time in this early DP spectacle — DC’s The Doom Patrol volume 1 issue number 92 from December of 1964, "The Sinister Secret Of Dr.Tyme," with that same reliable Bob Brown/Bruno Premiani/Arnold Drake brilliance. Back cover has some scattered foxing and print rubbing to the spine and perimeter plus one small green ink stain to the top center edge that echoes through the book to some tops of pages, inner do have a few dings but are mostly good, cover has a browning stain and brief wear to the spine.

Bob Haney and Neal Adams crafted this astonishing Batman and Flash teamup in "But Bork Can Hurt You," DC’s Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue number 81 from January of 1969, the first appearance of the big and brutal baddie. Some scattered print rubbing and waving to the perimeter of back cover with one chip to the bottom corner tip, a few inner pages have some chipped tips to the top corner and slight wear to some edges, main cover has creasing amongst the spine, to the top right corner and bottom right tip.

Thor proposes to Jane Foster, at peace with his love for a mortal woman. On Olympus, Hercules realizes the gravity of his agreement with Pluto...while his father Zeus casts judgment in this thunderous gem: Marvels Thor volume 1 issue number 129 from June of 1966, "The Verdict Of Zeus," the first appearances of Harokin, Artemis, Ares and Hepheastus. Some browning to the back cover with foxing stains to the spine and bottom plus one very faded crease to the top left corner, inner pages are mostly nice and sharp but that same corner crease echoes to a few of the back pages but only faintly, main cover is terrific with only brief creases to the spine.

Only the third appearance of Iron Fist and the first appearances of Ninja and Triple-Iron in this Larry Hama / Doug Moench delight, Marvel Premiere volume 1 issue number 17 from September of 1974, showcasing early Iron Fist in "Citadel On The Edge Of Vengeance." A few chips to bottom corner tips of a couple inner pages near the centerfold, mostly nice backing with sharp corners and brief print rubbing to the spine, cover is sensational with only very brief and faint print rubbing to the top edge of spine.

The Wendigo is the result of an ancient curse laid down by Elder Gods of Canadian folklore that transforms any person who eats the flesh of another human being in the Canadian wilderness into a massive, fur-covered humanoid beast, an indestructible force of nature, having been made by the gods and here’s his first appearance in all its glory — Marvel Hulk volume 1 issue number 162 from April of 1973, "Spawn Of The Flesh Eater!" The cover remains brilliant, smooth and sharp, back cover is clean and excellent, almost blemish free, while the inner pages are concise, clean and fresh. Almost undeniably a very fine copy this gem is, take a proper peek!

Frank Drake, the descendant of Count Dracula, has inherited the Count's castle. With a plan to turn the castle into a tourist hot-spot, Frank sets out for Transylvania. But something dark lurks in the bowels of Castle Dracula showcased brilliantly in this beginning with an iconic and staggering Neal Adams cover masterpiece— Marvel Tomb Of Dracula volume 1 issue number 1 from April of 1972, the first appearance of Frank Drake, Clifton Graves and Jeanie, and of course the first Marvel appearance of Dracula. Concise, even and very sharp inner pages with very few dings and the back cover has a few faded and faint dents to top left corner and top center edge and bottom center edge, cover is spectacular.

Berserker barrage! About as iconic, key and landmark a comic as it gets, "And Now…The Wolverine" is just that, the first full and proper appearance of Logan aka Wolverine in this triumphant epic via John Romita, Herb Trimpe and Len Wein — Marvels Hulk volume 1 issue number 181 from November of 1974, the Canadian Adamantium shredder would in the future become established as one of greatest and most fav-favorite characters of the Marvel universe, spawning several series, films, and pop culture items and merchandise. Back cover is white and sharp but has one small rip to the top left edge and some very brief and faint waving and print rubbing in a few spots, inner pages have great concise edges and corners but that same top rip echoes through to a majority of the inner pages with a few dings and faded dents to some of the inners, main cover has some creasing wear to the spine and one to the bottom right corner. The Marvel Value Stamp is intact and pictures of every page have been provided. Snikt!

Eric Brooks makes his extraordinary first appearance in this landmark epic, the first ever Blade The Vampire Hunter here in Marvels Tomb Of Dracula volume 1 issue number 10 from July of 1973, "His Name Is…Blade!" A magnificent presence and unique character birthed by legends Gil Kane, Marv Wolfman, and Gene Colan, Blade would later become a household pop culture name thanks to a Wesley Snipes film trilogy and several other comic and horror appearances, and with a new film soon on the horizon this is a bonafide beauty any way you sharpen your sword. In condition terms, you can really sink your teeth into this one; the back cover is white, sharp and smooth with only a faint bit of print rubbing to the spine, marvelous concise and even inner pages with an extremely tiny chipping to a few bottom corner tips near the centerfold and the iconic cover is stupendous with one faded and faint crease to the top left corner and tiny nubbing to the bottom right corner tip. Pictures of every page included, a truly terrific copy indeed.

Gary Friedrich and Marie Severin muster magic to create this gem that begins again the Bruce Banner legacy after a long foray with the Tales To Astonish series, this landmark was the first green giant jump back into his outstanding own, Marvels Hulk volume 1 issue number 102 from April of 1968, "The World Not His Own."When Loki transports the Hulk to Asgard, the Warriors Three rush to meet the Jade Giant. A truly beautiful and basically blemish free back cover, dazzling inner pages with fabulous edges and corners mostly and only a few dings, concise and sharp, main cover is tremendous with some minor creasing to the spine and a few faint surface scuffs and minimal dings.

Bandits, shootouts and bullet blitzes with dust covered boots aplenty in this Golden Age grab, Dell Publishing’s The Lone Ranger volume 1 issue number 50 from August of 1952, cover art by Ernest Nordli. Despite one pesky dated stamping to the top left corner, the cover remains truly fantastic with only some minor creasing to the spine, the white backing has a brief amount of wear to the spine and the inner pages are delightful with concise straight edges and very few dings. A very nice copy for its over 70 year old age!

"The Doom Puzzle" showcases some stunning adventure and imagery in this storied lore of the noir vigilante who needs no introduction, DC’s The Shadow volume 2 issue number 1 from November of 1973, and with a superb cover via Michael Kaluta and equally exciting Dennis O’Neil story work. Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? This is indeed a superb and spectacular copy as the back is white and perfect, the inner pages are sharp, white and clean with hardly any dings almost at all and main cover is just gem. What a delight!

The second treacherous appearance of Ultron-6 resurrected by The Vision, a beautiful and bonafide breath taker via Sal Buscema, Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith, "We Stand At Armageddon," Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 67 from August of 1969, and of course Earth's Mightiest Heroes must save New York City from a nuclear explosion. Cover is fantastic and sharp with hardly a blemish, excellent and concise inner pages and the back cover is nice with only some very faint print rubbing and faded creases to the spine.

The Man Of Bronze, Clark Savage Jr., showcased here with a double punch via John Buscema, Ross Andru and Roy Thomas: Marvels Doc Savage issue number 1 from October of 1972 and the Giant-Size Doc Savage number 1 from 1975. Both covers remain brilliant and sharp edged, inner pages are mostly concise and clean and the backings are white, perfect and beautiful.

Roy Thomas and Gerry Conway supply the stellar storyline and Herb Trimpe and John Romita provide the astonishing art fireworks in this early Bruce Banner yarn, many minor first appearances in this one including Glenn Talbot, Snakar, Cobrah and a few other baddies — "Crisis On Counter Earth" Marvels Incredible Hulk volume 1 issue number 176 from June of 1974. Cover has some minor creasing to the spine and a faint scuff or two, some print rubbing to the perimeter edges of back cover and two very faint and faded dents to the bottom left corner, inner pages mostly sharp and great.

Such a super cool Superboy spectacular with a cover presentation from legend Neal Adams while George Papp and Jim Shooter provide the inner framework of this Kryptonian gem, DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 371 from August of 1968, "The Colossal Failure" includes the first appearance of The Chemical King. The inner pages are superb with this copy, clean, sharp and concise entirely, back cover is white and sharp with only a few faint moments of print rubbings and a minor faded ding or two, main cover is magnificent with only one minor faded crease to the bottom left corner. A super nice and fine copy.

"The Coming Of Doctor Strange" sees the origin of the sorcerer supreme retold and this first issue to his first self-titled series, plus the first appearance of Asmodeus (Charles Benton), plus who can mistake the magnificent and iconic cover via Dan Adkins, such a delight: Marvels Doctor Strange volume 1 issue number 169 from June of 1968. While recuperating at the Sanctum of his master the Ancient One, Dr. Strange sleeps and dreams of the events that led to him becoming a master of the mystic arts. What follows is an extended origin based on the events depicted in Strange Tales #115 following the end of his career as a surgeon due to car accident, becoming a drunken derelict and questing to restore his damaged hands. Learning of the Ancient One and attempting to become his disciple, after displaying a show of selflessness by trying to protect the Ancient One from the machinations of Karl Mordo, he is allowed to train under the Ancient One's tutelage. Condition wise, cover is very nice with some minor surface rubbing to the spine and slight edge wear to top right, back cover is nice with one ding to the top left edge and some brief print rubbing, mostly great inner pages.

The planet devouring Galactus and Psycho Man (looking absolutely riveting in this radical red shade via Kirby to the cover) team up in a magnificent multi-verse spectacle in Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue number 77 from August of 1968, Crystal not too far from the three as Sue is with child, the tension-filled developments never let up. Cover is magical and sharp with only some slight nubbing to 3 of the 4 corner tips, back cover has some print rubbing to the perimeter and one faded ding to bottom left corner, inner pages mostly proper and crisp and even.

A now famous and iconic issue indeed, the death of Norman Osborn Green Goblin in the landmark "The Goblin’s Last Stand" Marvels Amazing Spider-Man volume 1 issue number 122 from July of 1973, a glorious John Romita, Gerry Conway, Gil Kane gem for sure — A fan poll conducted by Marvel Comics for their series 100 Greatest Marvels of All Time voted this issue to be the 19th greatest issue of all time. Some scattered waving to the back cover and some wear to the top edge while the inner pages are mostly concise and smooth, cover has two faded pen markings on the Goblin, some wear to the top left tip and some brief creases to the bottom right corner.

A collection of captivating early Batman stories from throughout Bruce Wayne’s legendary history in this page packed spectacular, DC’s 80 Page Giant volume 1 issue number 5 from November of 1964, a more than double dose of dynamic duo dynamite plus an iconic rare comic strip reprinting included in this Bob Kane, Bill Finger, Bob Brown and many other legends beauty. Some definite waving and a few brief scuffs and dings to the back cover while the inner pages are mostly clean and even, cover is excellent with only a faint bit of browning and a few faint creases to the bottom left corner and print surface scuffing to the bottom right tip.

A gorgeous Gene Colan cover presentation to "When Fails The Quest," and then the supposed death and demise of The Leader as The Watched aids Bruce Banner is his Jack Kirby/Stan Lee segment — Marvels Tales To Astonish volume 1 issue number 74 from December of 1965. Some browning to the perimeter of back cover and a major faded stain to the bottom half plus one ink dings to top center, some considerable foxing to the frontispiece, inner pages are mostly sharp cornered and clean with a few edges or two having some brief wear, cover is excellent with only a brief bit of nubbing to bottom right tip.

The Academy Award for best comic series as legends Neal Adams and Dennis O’Neil were truly at the top of their glorious game and this gem another excellent example, the Anti-Drug Issue, DC’s Green Lantern volume 2 issue number 86 from November of 1971. A very nice white back cover with only a few faint moments of print rubbing and one brown faded stain to bottom right corner, the inner pages are almost completely even, sharp, clean and concise and the cover is tremendous, a very nice copy for sure.

The mutant squad duel and duke it out with main villain Magento and Lorna Dane’s lineage exposed in this tremendous first appearance of Erik The Red (Cyclops) with the iconic and instantly recognizable cover via art god Jim Steranko, Marvels Uncanny X-men volume 1 issue number 51 from December of 1968, "The Devil Had A Daughter." Some faded scuffs, dings and spot of foxing and print rubbing to the back cover, mostly nice and even inner pages, cover has one faded crease to the top center right area plus some print rubbing and minor creases to the perimeter.

The Marine Attack Rescue Service Patrol up defending wonderful weaponry against diabolical forces in this beginning blitzkrieg, the issue the first of the new series title, Gold Key M.A.R.S. Patrol number 3 from September of 1966, via legends Wally Wood, Leo Dorfman and Dan Adkins. Front and back covers are absolutely excellent with sharp edges and clean smooth surfaces, a few faint dings to an edge area or two but mostly just tremendous and the inner pages are sharp, concise and clean, a very fine copy.

Only two singular issues to this series before it would change titling to Mars Patrol, Wally Wood and company would excel and work wonders with the brilliant and babe Silver Aged battle crew: Gold Key Total War issue number 2 from October of 1965. A sure-fire spectacular copy again, sticker labeled a Very Fine and I concur as it is sharp, smooth, clean and concise almost everywhere with this wonderful book.

Arnold Drake, Bob Brown, Bruno Premiani with another awkward and awesome fable from the world’s strangest heroes, DC’s The Doom Patrol volume 1 issue number 87 from May of 1964, "The Terrible Secret Of Negative Man," the second issue with the new series titling from the prior My Greatest Adventure. Back cover has some minor browning, brief foxing and slight print rubbing, inner pages are mostly good and even with a few dings to intro page and a few others, a few faint surface scuffs to the bottom edge and some creasing to the bottom right corner, one small ding to top left area.

The phenomenal first appearance of Lilith Dracul, aka the daughter of Dracula in this treasure featured with a Romita cover and glorious Gene Colan/Stan Lee/Marv Wolfman inner framework, Marvels Giant-Size Chillers Featuring Dracula number 1 (the only of the series before the title would change) from June of 1974. Off-white, concise and clean inner pages and a white and superb back cover with great edges and corners, main cover is magnificent with only a few minimal faded dings.

Steve Ditko and Steve Skeates to the majority of these Hall Brothers gems while legend Gil Kane jumped aboard for cover and inner duty in issue 3, a glorious grouping of almost the entire original series minus the first issue: DC’s Hawk And Dove volume 1 issues 2,3,4, 5 and 6 spanning November of 1968 to July of 1969. Cover to issue 2 has some surface print rubbing to the spine and a brief bit of it to the spine of issue 6 but the rest of these issues are spectacular and sharp, smooth, clean and concise, very well stored and respected books. Take a look at the pics for these dazzlers!

Seven sensational stories a few of them being a one page’r, but all of them tremendous and early into the lore of Thunder Agents and their solo savior Leonard Brown: Tower Comics Dynamo volume 1 issue number 2 from October of 1966, via George Tuska, Wally Wood, Mike Sekowski and many other marvelous legends. A fantastic back cover with very brief browning to the perimeter edges and one minor ding to the top left edge that echoes into some of the back inner pages that are usually sharp and concise, very even and excellent, cover is stupendous and sharp with some very faint wear to the bottom of spine’s side.

"Beyond All Rescue" and “If Bucky Lives,” Iron Man's showdown with the Mole Man reaches its explosive climax and Captain America receives a distress call from Bucky Barnes in this beautiful Gene Colan / Gil Kane sampling, Marvels Tales Of Suspense volume 1 issue number 88 from April of 1967. Some browning to the edges of inner pages but they’re mostly concise and even as the back cover follows with that, browning to perimeter but good corners and edges, some moderate wear and creasing to the spine and bottom right tip of cover but very good.

"The Justice Leaguers’ Impossible Adventure" sees a stunner of a story by the tremendous team of Mike Sekowski, Sid Greene and Gardner Fox, DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 59 from December of 1967. During a meeting of the Justice League, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, and Flash are transported to the world of Marithanna which is going to be attacked by aliens known as the Contras. Told of the situation by the Impossibles, being who rule the planet, the captured Justice League members help destroy the Contras before being returned home. Some print rubbing to the spine of nice back cover, inner pages are mostly clean and proper with even edges and main cover is marvelous with only very very brief creasing to the spine, a superb copy for sure.

Nick Cardy and Bob Haney to "The Perilous Capers of The Terrible Teen," DC’s Teen Titans volume 1 issue number 5 from October of 1966, the first appearance of villain The Ant (Edward Whit) and the first naming of the Titan’s Lair in this TT treasure. Some print rubbing to the spine and a few faded dents to the back cover perimeter, mostly outstanding off-white and even inner pages with great corners and cover has some brief creases to the spine but very nice overall.

"A Crusade Of Murder," “The Amazing Dr. Glitternight,” “The Darkness From Glitternight,” and “A Sister Of Hell,” four bone-chilling, terrifying howl-at-the-moon gems to the terrific Jack Russell series, the first appearances of the Necromancer Doctor Glitternight during this saga plus Soul Beast — Marvel Werewolf By Night volume 1 issues 26, 27, 28 and 29 from February, March, April and May of 1975, respectively. All four issues are mostly superb, sharp and white back covers to all of them, mostly marvelous and concise off-white inners to all of the and four fantastic covers, issue 28 has some slight creasing to the spine and a faded faint fold to a bottom corner.

A Bruce Banner bludgeoning as this first to the series includes the origin retold and with a beautiful Ken Barr cover piece to it, Marvels Rampaging Hulk volume 1 issue number 1 from January of 1977, "The Krylorian Conspiracy" and “Trail Of The Starstone” which includes the first appearance of Killer Shrike. Some nubbing to the top of spine corner tip and slight creasing to it, but cover remains excellent otherwise, mostly good inner pages but some bottom tips do have chips, back cover is white and sharp mostly but one chip to top left corner edge area and minor wear to the bottom edge.

A remarkable Roger Kastel cover depicting Ron Ely from the film, a fantastic first in the series of the man of bronze here and with John Buscema and Doug Moench framework to it, Curtis Magazine Doc Savage number 1 from August of 1975, the first issue spectacular. Cover remains crisp, sharp and clean, practically perfect, inner pages are clean, even without hardly a ding to them and the backing is white and delightful, a very fine copy.

"Damn dirty apes!" A brilliant cover piece by legend Bob Larkin whilst Mike Ploog, Mike Esposito and George Tuska created the stellar inner imagery for this first issue phantasmagoria — Curtis Planet Of The Apes volume 1 issue number 1 from August of 1974. One stain to the top left corner area and foxing around the perimeter of back cover, mostly good and concise edges to the inner pages with not many dings to them, main cover is great with a few surface scuffs and dings to the corner areas.

Every Boris Vallejo art piece is a staggering master display and this cover is another in an almost endless line of examples of them accompanied by beautiful works from John Buscema, Barry Windsor-Smith, and Walt Simonson dazzling the imagery for Robert E. Howard tales plus one of his poems — Curtis Savage Sword Of Conan volume 1 issue number 7 from August of 1975. A superb and sharp copy pretty much everywhere, crisp and clean cover with a few faint tiny dings to the spine, smooth and concise inner pages and a white and sharp back cover.

An uncanny and radical Richard Corben cover piece to this haunting issue that slithers and scares throughout its 66 pages of periodical putridness, terrors abound with Warren Magazine Eerie volume 1 issue number 32 from March of 1971. Back cover is white, shape edged and clean, inner pages mostly concise and dazzling and the main cover is truly excellent with only a few brief moments of surface rubbing.

Wallace Allan Wood is widely considered to be America’s greatest science fiction cartoonist, but he was also one of the brightest lights of the early Mad comic and, later, a pioneering alternative/underground cartoonist/publisher of several different dynamic series. This lovely lot collects four of his more scarce items in one: The Marvel Comics Art Of Wally Wood by Thumbtack Books from 1982, The King Of The World by Wallace Wood by Sea Gate Distributors from 1978, The Wallace Wood Sketchbook by Bill Crouch from 1980 limited to only 1500 copies, and finally The Wallace Wood Sketchbook II by Bill Crouch from 1981, the last two being literal fiber cotton paper sketchbooks and both limited to only 1500 copies. All items like-new, one very tiny faint stain to the frontispiece of King Of The World and Marvel Comics Hardcover has slight dust.

"Frankenstein Monster: The Monster and the Masque," "Manphibian: Vengeance Crude,” "The Flies,” Stoker's Dracula part 7, and “Death Be Thou Proud" in this frightening five fabled first fright rag mag containing the first appearance and origin of Manphibian, Curtis The Legion Of Monsters number 1 from September of 1975, with a stunner cover via Neal Adams and featuring everyone from Dracula and his brides, to Frankenstein’s Monster, to Van Hellsing. Magazine is vey nice but cover has a pen marking to the title M letter and some brief creases to the spine, inner pages are mostly concise and sharp and back cover has some scattered waving to it.

Two truly beautiful cover masterpieces in one grab with Boris Vallejo and Ken Kelly’s work to these two wicked and haunting wonders of the dark and macabre, Skywald Publishing’s Nightmare Magazine volume 1 issues 3 and 10 from April of 1971 and December of 1972. Both covers are excellent with issue 3 being just a bit nicer and one ding to the top left corner and issue 10 with some spinal creasing, truly nice and concise inner pages with wonderful corners and tips and almost no dings, back cover to issue 3 has one tiny chip to top edge, a dated stamping and brief browning to perimeter and issue 10’s backing is nicer with faint print rubbing.

An excellent and beastly Earl Norem cover and fantastic frontispiece artwork by Gene Colan just gives the reader a radical intro into how ferocious and fun this series was/is, Marvels The Hulk number 17 from October of 1979, with two tantalizing tales to it and the latter half including an incredible Moon Knight story, plus the first appearance of Shadowknight (Randall Spector) with also some truly staggering Bill Sienkiewicz pencil work to this gem as well. Magazine is in very fine, marvelous condition.

Ken Barr coupled with a Jim Starlin frontispiece then Earl Norem coupled with a John Buscema frontispiece and that just begins the exciting and fantastic with this two issue grab of Curtis’ Marvel Preview volume 1 issues 10 and 12 from July of 1977 and December of 1976, the Thor and Lilith Dracul issues. The inner pages two both mags are concise and even with next to no dings or imperfections, backing to issue 12 has some print rubbing and it’s cover a pen marking to the title and very faint spine wear, backing to issue 10 is nicer with one faded stain to bottom left corner and cover is super clean and marvelous.

Jad and Hescox to the creepy but cool covers of these two thrilling vampire bites, Curtis’ and Marvel Vampire Tales volume 1 issues 9 and 10 from February and April of 1975, five tales to issue 9 and 3 long lengths to issue 10, legendary writers and artists abound such as Chris Claremont, Gerry Conway, Don Heck, Doug Moench and many many more. Some print rubbing to spine, a few moments of slight wear and a faded stain to back cover of issue 9, a few chips to tips of inner page corners but mostly good, cover is fantastic and sharp; issue 10 is crisp, clean and sharp, from the inner pages that are all concise with no dings or chips to tips, to the excellent and superb cover.

Several suspenseful and spine tingling tales to each of these monstrous delights, Curtis and Marvel Monsters Unleashed volume 1 issue numbers 3 and 4 from November of 1973 and February of 1974, the first with an absolute gem of a painted cover via Neal Adams. Both covers are sharp, clean and spectacular with only the top right corner of issue 4 having some brief surface rubbing and nubbing, excellent edges and condition to both backings with brief browning to perimeter edges which is similar to the concise and nice inner pages.

Gorgeous and entrancing cover work via Gray Morrow (inspired by legend Steranko) and Dan Adkins to these, the only two issues of the series titling, Curtis Masters Of Terror issues 1 and 2 from July and September of 1975, featuring 76 pulse pounding Pages to each of them with mounting menaces of the invisible man and stories from HP Lovecraft, Robert Block, Robert Howard, and HG Wells and more. Both covers are sharp and superb however cover of issue 1 has a faded stamping to right center edge, excellent, clean and concise inner pages entirely and backings to both are beautiful.

Low distribution and very low circulation to these issues that end the first volume series, Curtis’ Planet Of The Apes volume 1 issues 26, 27, 28 and 29 (the final issue) from November, December, January and February of 1976 into 1977, with Malcolm McNeil and Earl Norem gem covers. Speaking of covers, they’re all mostly terrific however issues 27 and 28 have pen markings to the title areas, some slight wear to the top edge of backing for issue 26 and one faded crease dent to backing of 27 while the rest are sharp and clean, mostly great and concise and nice inner pages.

A barbaric, beastly and beautiful bunching of wonderful depictions of the Lord of The Hidden Jungle and Shanna The She-Devil to this treasure lot: Curtis’ Savage Tales number 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and then the Annual number 1 from the summer of 1975, marvelous legends such as Boris Vallejo, Michael Whelan, Ken Barr and tons other collaborated on these captivating tales. All magazines are in fine to very fine conditions, no major blemishes, crisp clean and smooth almost everywhere, so every bottom edge inner page ink staining to issue 6 and a few backings with slight print rubbing.

The Prince of Atlantis deals with the deadly threat of Captain Barracuda and Mister Starkey in this awesome aquatic morsel with instantly recognizable Gene Colan cover, "The Choice And The Challenge," Marvels Sub-Mariner volume 1 issue number 11 from March of 1969. A pen signature of the top edge and brief browning to the perimeter of back cover, mostly concise and sharp inner pages but a very faint and faded crease dent to the bottom corners that echoes slightly, main cover is superb.

Iconic with a capital I, bub! Instantly recognizable and respected, the phenomenal Frank Miller and Chris Claremont worked their magic with this limited series that is now stuff of legend, Marvels Wolverine volume 1 number 1 from September of 1982, the first solo Logan series plus the first appearances of Yukio and Shingen Harada. Issue remains impeccable, clean, sharp and crisp with only one minor blemish being some bunched nubbing to the bottom of spine to front and back cover.

A magnificent morsel for sure as the second ever appearance of Metamorpho happens here plus the first appearance of Maxwell Tremaine, Bob Haney and Ramona Fradon fan the flames of fantasy with DC’s The Brave and The Bold volume 1 issue number 58 from March of 1965, "The Junkyard Of Doom." A tattered and torn bottom corner tip, some scattered slight foxing and wear to the perimeter of back cover, mostly good inner pages but some chips to bottom tips and a few dings, main cover has minor creasing to the spine and bottom right corner tip.

The astonishing Neal Adams of course to the captivating cover and Jim Shooter and Curt Swan to the sensational inner working of this Superboy and LoSH wonder — DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 372 from September of 1968, "School For Supervillains," as Chemical King joins the team. Crisp, clean and concise inner pages with not many dings to them, intro page has two very faint factory print rub marks, back cover is nice with one dated stamping to top right corner and cover is truly marvelous.

The treasured triumvirate of Mike Sekowski, Murphy Anderson and Gardner Fox gathered the fantastic to create this JLA gem — "Four Worlds To Conquer" as the earth’s mightiest team is against an early Despero, DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 26 from March of 1964. Some scattered print rubbing to the perimeter of back cover, inner pages are mostly nice however a page to the back half of the issue has a cut out for a mail-away (pictured, of course), main cover has some surface rubbing to the spine and a few minor moments of dings.

Blastaar The Living Bomb Burst and Sandman menace the fabulous FF in ways depicted only as dynamite as The King Kirby could, Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue number 63 from June of 1967. A super sharp, clean, crisp and nice back cover with only some brief browning to it and the inner pages are just like that, sharp and clean with very few if any dings to them and the main cover is marvelous with only some minor creasing to the spine and bottom corner tip.

"To Rise Again" and “Inhuman At Large,” Sif has taken the bait and become one with the Destroyer and it’s a disaster all around, as Balder remains under the spell of Karnilla, while Thor does battle against Sif unknowingly in this utter Thunder spectacle, Marvels Thor volume 1 issue number 151 from April of 1968. A superb and sharp back cover with wonderful edges and corners and only a slight browning shade which is similar to the inner pages that are also sharp and clean, cover is terrific with some minimal creases to the spine.

Legend Bob Brown to the courageous cover art and awesome Alex Toth inner art for this unusual and early exciting JLA’er pairing, Ray Palmer and Barry Allen together for DC’s The Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue number 53 from May of 1964. "The Challenge Of The Expanding World," A dictator manipulates the Atom into inadvertently causing his micro-world to expand and threaten Earth, but the Flash lends his tiny comrade a hand in dealing with the menace. A few dings to the bottom of intro page, a faded fold dent to the top corner that echoes slightly to inner pages and a few chipped tip bottom corners, back cover has some scattered print rubbing and minor wear spots, main cover has some very slight surface rubbing areas and faint tiny creases.

Such a super debacle with "The Mutiny Of The Super-Heroines," DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 368 from May of 1968, Neal Adams to the awesome cover work and the lengthy list of LoSH members has never looked cooler with the Jim Shooter and Curt Swan inner imagery. A stupendous cover condition with only the briefest of creasing to the spine, mostly super nice inner pages with a few dings to bottoms, back cover is excellent with a minor amount of waving to the spine.

"Devil Wings Over Shadizar" sees the greatest sword and sorcery hero of all time with the unmissable Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith working magic with the first appearances of Blackrat and The Night-Cult — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 6 from June of 1971. Hardly any dings to the crisp and clean inner pages, back cover has great corners and is fresh and near blemish free while the cover is sensational and only some minimal creases to the spine.

"Why Must There Be An Iron Man," showcases a stupendous and widely respected cover via legends Gil Kane and Vince Coletta retelling the origin of Tony Stark from flashbacks to vivid imagery with Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith frameworks — Marvels Iron Man volume 1 issue number 47 from June of 1972. The finale page being one of the most phenomenal Iron Man images, but speaking of phenomenal, the back cover is spectacular with only the biggest bit of browning, inner pages are clean and superb and cover is great with some creasing to the spine and bottom right corner tip.

You almost can’t give the glorious Gil Kane enough credit for his remarkable gifts he gave the entirety of comic-dom, this cover is another stunner in an almost endless line of wonderful works — DC’s Green Lantern volume 2 issue number 71 from September of 1969, the first appearance of Olivia Reynolds in "The City That Died." A sensational and sharp copy this issue is, the cover remains fantastic, the inner pages are clean, concise and smooth and back cover has just the briefest bit of browning and print rubbing to the perimeter.

Six sensational Spidey tales in one jam packed gem with Romita’s work all over it, but of most importance the first appearance of Richard and Mary Parker, Peter’s parents, in this treasure — Marvel Amazing Spider-Man King Size Special number 5 from November of 1968, "The Parents of Peter Parker," Peter learns the truth about his parents. First, he believes them to be traitors working for the Nazi villain Red Skull, but in the end he finds that they were double agents and is able to exonerate them. The cover is outstanding and sharp, the very many inner pages are concise and clean with only a few dings and the back cover is very nice.

"And Hellgrammite Is His Name" showcases, somewhat obviously, the first appearance of Hellgrammite while Batman and The Creeper attempt a capture — DC’s The Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue number 80 from November of 1968, Batman and Creeper team up to stop Hellgrammite from turning three mob bosses into super-insects like himself as of course only Neal Adams and Dick Giordano could. A brilliant back covers condition that is sharp and smooth while the inner pages are mostly marvelous with only a few dings here and there, main cover is outstanding and almost blemish free.

"Vengeance Of The Super Villains" shows Mike Grell to the marvelous cover maintenance while this spectacular packs three Smallville tales in one book, DC’s Superboy volume 1 issue number 208 from April of 1975. Back cover remains wonderful, sharp edged and white with only some brief waving to the spine, mostly spectacular and concise inner pages with even edges and the main cover is smooth, clean and nice with some brief waving near the staples.

Let’s take it way way back, Dell Comics Mad Monster Party from September of 1967. A real rarity for horror and animation fans. A comics adaptation of the 1967 animated special from Rankin-Bass, which starred Boris Karloff. MAD legends Harvey Kurtzman and Jack Davis were involved in the film's story and design, both of which the adaptation follows closely. A page of film credits (including Kurtzman's) is illustrated with movie stills. Baron Frankenstein has decided to retire, and invites all the other monsters to a banquet at his remote island castle. But when long-lost nerdy nephew Felix Franken is appointed Frankenstein's successor, a power struggle leads to monster-sized comedic chaos, a super vintage gem of television past. Some brief print rubbing to the back cover perimeter while the inner pages are mostly crisp, clean and even, cover has some very faint print rubbing on surface and some slight scattered dings and creases.

"The Code Of The Legion" and “Clark Kent, Cub Reporter” sees a new Legion Of The Super-Heroes tale against the treacherous Time Trapper and a retelling of a very early Superboy sensation, DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 321 from June of 1964. Cover is magical and sharp with only some minor waving to the center area and one tiny chip to right center edge, back cover has some brief browning and print rubbing to the perimeter and a chipped tip to the bottom left corner, inner pages have some chips to bottom tips but mostly good.

The phenomenal team-up of Frank Miller and Chris Claremont take their Adamantium laced second step with this gem, Marvels Wolverine volume 1 issue number 2 from October of 1982, "Debts and Obligations." Besides a few of the back pages having a faint crease to the top corners, this is a very fine and close to near mint copy, sharp, clean, smooth, concise and sensational.

Gene Colan provides the proper exhilarating cover image for this diabolical double feature, "Into the Jaws of Death" and “The Blitzkrieg Of Batroc,” Iron Man improves his armor in order to take on the Mandarin and Captain America fights Batroc the Leaper, who has been hired by Hydra to kill him, Marvels Tales Of Suspense volume 1 issue number 85 from January of 1967. Some browning to perimeter edge of back cover plus a few dings and two wave marks to the center of it, mostly good inner pages with a few faint dings and markings and the cover has some creasing to the spine and a pesky pen marking to the center top of it.

More secret origins including the beginning of the JLA to this jam packed gem of Silver Age astonishment a super collection of some of the most sought after stories and starts, DC’s 80 Page Giant volume 1 issue number 8 from March of 1965. A few seldom dings to the inner pages but most of them remain very nice and sharp and concise, back cover has some foxing to the perimeter edges, and the main cover has some of that same foxing but excellent edges and corners.

The origin of the Inhumans dived into depose and further explained in "Silence Or Death," then in “When Falls A Hero” The Wrecker and Loki threaten the livelihood of the Thunder God — Marvels Thor volume 1 issue number 149 from February of 1968. One chip to a bottom tip and a few dings to inner pages that are mostly very good, back cover has faint browning but outstanding corners and edges and main cover is marvelous with only some super faint creases to the spine area.

"Death-Cult" sees just that against Danny Rand, plus many first appearances from Colleen Wing to the Cult Of Kali and others, awesome stuff as per usual via Larry Hama, Doug Moench and Gil Kane — Marvel Premiere volume 1 issue number 19 from November of 1974. One crease dent to the top center of the spine but the back cover remains very shape and clean, inner pages are concise and delightful while the cover is spectacular.

The first appearance of Scott Lang as Any-Man, he’d become a household name and made popular by Paul Rudd in the Avengers and self-titled films, plus the first appearances of Cassie Lang and Darren Cross in "To Steal an Ant-Man," Marvel Premiere volume 1 issue number 47 from April of 1979, with that wonderful and now instantly recognizable and respected Bob Layton cover piece. Some chips to the bottom tips of inner pages but they’re mostly concise and terrific while the back cover is white and sharp with one faded dent to the bottom of spine and that same chipped tip to bottom corner, cover is almost perfect.

Steve Dayton and Rita Farr are set to wed whilst the Brotherhood Of Evil threatens the good time for everyone, DC’s The Doom Patrol volume 1 issue number 104 from June of 1966 via the usual astounding team of Bob Brown, Bruno Premiani and Arnold Drake. Inner pages are clean, concise and sharp almost everywhere, the back cover however has one corner chunk cut out of it and some brief browning to the perimeter edge, main cover has only a few faint and minor dings.

Every cover of the original limited series was fantastic via the legendary Frank Miller, but this cover in particular is dark and very eye-catching and just set the tone — Marvels Wolverine volume 1 issue number 3 from November of 1982, "Loss," as The Hang and Yukio give Logan’s Tokyo that added terror, with first appearance of compadre Takahashi as well. One super faint ding to the right center edge but like the rest of the issues in this series, it’s a stunner copy, clean, sharp and smooth everywhere.

The fantasy Giant size issue to the first series as Roy Thomas, Sal Buscema and Barry Windsor-Smith work their usual barbaric magic but what makes this one unique is the separate story by Marie Severin adapted from Robert E. Howard of Kull The Conqueror, so Kull and Conan in one savage spectacular issue together — Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 10 from October of 1971. Some dings, scattered wear and creases to the spine and perimeter of cover and similar wear to the spine on back cover, nubbing to bottom and top of the spine, minor rip to the right center edge, inner pages are mostly good and comics with a few brief moments of wear or waving, top staple does protrude intro page.

Bob Haney and Bernard Baily bring bunches of blows of action within these pages as both JLA’ers Flash and Martian Manhunter group up for "Raid Of The Mutant Marauders," DC’s The Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue number 56 from November of 1964, an android is created on the planet Argon with all the powers of the Justice League members, who is able to utilize the powers of two members at a time, and correspondingly takes a half-and-half appearance of those heroes. Concise and super clean inner pages that are even and excellent with very few to no dings to them, back cover has excellent corners and edges but one pesky pen marking to the top center edge and main cover is outstanding with only minimal creases to the spine.

"The Enemy Within The Doom Patrol" has Madame Rouge undergoing an experiment developed by the Brain and gains the ability to mold her skin in this Bob Brown/Arnold Drake/Bruno Premiani bizzare team beauty, DC’s The Doom Patrol volume 1 issue number 90 from October of 1964, the fearless four against the treacherous Brotherhood Of Evil. Cover has some edge wear and nubbing to the bottom right corner area and creases to the spine, a small tear to the top center edge and scattered perimeter print scuffs, inner pages are mostly good with a few dings to them.

The first and second appearances of Linda Littletrees aka Witch Woman plus the first appearance of Casey Miller, Sam Silvercloud and Snake Dance, only four or so steps after Ghost Rider’s first appearance in this series that brought many origins and beginnings, a ludicrous and lovely lot for sure fires here — Marvel Spotlight On volume 1 issues 8, 9, 10 and 11 from February, April, June and August of 1973, with that usual flaming fury via Mike Ploog, Jim Mooney and Gary Friedrich. All four covers remain sharp, clean and fantastic almost entirely, a few faded stains to the back of issue 11 but all the covers are otherwise in wonderful shape, inner pages for all four books are fabulous with most of them clean and concise while issue 10’s last two pages have chips to bottom tips, a truly terrific lot.

From Vietnam to The Battle Of The Bulge to D-Day to even Armageddon, this is a bullet blasting blitzkrieg of Sergeant Fury and his Howling Commandos plus the first power-packed issue of Captain Savage and his premiere because why stop a good thing? Three astonishing Al Williamson covers but the covers to issues 6 and 7 are equally impressive if not more so by Reed Crandal and Mac Raboy, the further and phenomenal adventures of Flash amidst Doctor Zarkov, with the first appearance of Agent X9 happening in issue 4. King Comics Flash Gordon volume 2 issues 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 from January to August of 1967. All five books are nice, issues 5, 6 and 7 are extremely clean, the backing to issue 4 has some print rubbing but most backings are very clean and sharp, inner pages for all mostly clean, concise and even, very faint creases to a spine or two, issue 3 has some slight scuffage scuffing to the bottom left corner and one faded and faint crease to the center vertically which echoes into a few pages but only very very briefly.

The final step of the stupendous limited series here, "Honor" sees Chris Claremont and Frank Miller finish the phenomenal Logan epic with a hinting to his and Mariko Yashida’s wedding, the tensions in Tokyo reach a fever pitch for the finale of Marvels Wolverine volume 1 issue number 4 from December of 1982. A very fine clean, crisp, sharp and smooth copy like the rest of the issues in this limited series, one minor waving dent to bottom left corner area.

"Never Bother A Barracuda" showcases the villain against the might of Atlantis and the origin told of The Serpent Crown, Marvels Sub-Mariner volume 1 issue number 10 from February of 1969, plus the first appearances of Karthon The Questor, the Lemurians and Psycatos amidst the threats of Captain Barracuda. Concise, clean, sharp and very nice inner pages with hardly a ding to them, back cover has some print rubbing to the perimeter and main cover is marvelous.

The demonic flying entity Garakaa The Winged One makes a first appearance and death in this devastatingly good Roy Thomas/Barry Windsor-Smith/Sal Buscema beauty, Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issue number 9 from September of 1971. Cover is nice but has creasing to the spine, top right corner and some surface scuffing to the bottom left corner plus one rip ding that echoes into the beginning inner pages but besides that ding the inners are mostly all nice, back cover has some surface scuffs and print rubbing, slight faded dents.

A magnificent Murphy Anderson cover work for this gem that not only has a segment showing the origin of Starman (Ted Knight) but also for Black Canary (Dinah Drake-Lance), plus the third appearance of Mist: DC’s The Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue number 61 from September of 1965, "The Mastermind Of Menaces." Clean and even inner pages with concise edges, back cover has some minor print rubbing to the perimeter and cover has some creasing to the spine and bottom right corner.

Jack Kirby and Stan Lee present "Even In Death" and “Triton,” two treacherous, thrilling and terrific tales of thunderous importance, while Odinson of Asgard and The Inhuman aquatic beast Triton match power in one issue together with their separate segments — Marvels Thor volume 1 issue number 150 from March of 1968. Cover has one pesky pen marking to the T of title, some brief creases to the spine and top right corner tip plus some surface scuffs to the center area, backing is very clean and nice and inner pages are all mostly concise and sensational.

Prince Namor and Bruce Banner bustling within the pages of this beautiful book, Marvels Tales To Astonish volume 1 issue number 92 from June of 1967, "It Walks Like A Man" and “Turning Point,” the first ever Silver Surfer crossover outside of FF. A truly superb and sharp white back cover and the inner pages are dazzling and concise with hardly any dings to them, cover is sensational with only some brief edge wear to the top right corner.

The first appearance of The Tumbler against the courageous Cap in his spectacular segment and Tony thwarts the terrible Titanium Man in his tremendous half — Marvels Tales Of Suspense volume 1 issue number 83 from November of 1966, with a super cool Gene Colan cover art for the ages. Clean, concise and sharp inner pages with hardly any dings to them at all, back cover is very nice with some super faint browning and a few small moments of foxing, cover remains marvelous.

Normally a two tale series but in this instance Superboy and The LoSH take it on together, DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 351 from December of 1966, "The Forgotten Legion," and even the Super Pets make an appearance against the threat of The Devil’s Dozen and Mr.Mxyzptlk. Slight brief browning to the perimeter edges of inner pages but they are clean, sharp and concise otherwise, back cover outstanding with faint bits of print rubbing and the cover has one faded ink marking to top left corner and spine creases.

"The Big Super Hero Hunt" showcases not only another stunner cover via Murphy Anderson but also the first Silver Age appearance and origin of Wildcat, as The Sportsmaster and Huntress work together as husband and wife, him stealing expensive sports memorabilia, while she captures any superhero that gets in the way. When Wildcat falls into Huntress' trap, only Starman and Black Canary can help him, in DC’s The Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue number 62 from November of 1965. Some considerable wear and creasing to the spine and staples area plus faded scuffs and surface dings to the cover, inner pages are mostly good but centerfold page is detached, back cover has some scattered surface scuffs and wear spots, one faded stain to bottom left area.

"Man-Bat Madness," “The Deadly Go-Between,” “Rex, Circus Detective,” and “The Case Of The Gold Dust Death” all captured in this captivating Gotham gem, DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 416 from October of 1971 and with another wondrous Neal Adams cover and the third appearance of Dr. Francine Langstrom. The cover is stunning and stupendous, some dings to the bottom of some of the back pages but mostly nice and sharp corners and edges and back cover is fantastic.

The stupendous artwork of Jim Starlin compliments this epic collision on heroes and villains (many new), but most notably the first appearance of Korvac, as Daredevil and the Defenders are chosen by Grandmaster to be the latest pawns in his cosmic game — Marvel Giant-Size The Defenders volume 1 issue number 3 from January of 1975 "Games Godlings Play." Backing has some very brief yellowing and slight spots of print rubbing to the spine, inner pages are superb and super clean with hardly a single ding to any of them, fantastic cover with minor faded surface rubbing to top left corner.

The tremendous Joe Kubert crafted this cover for an iconic and landmark issue, the first appearance of Andar Pul but more importantly the debut of the new and improved Hawkman costume that Katar Hol would go onto become synonymous with — DC’s Brave And The Bold volume 1 issue number 42 from July of 1962. Mostly dazzling and sharp inner pages with concise edges, back cover has some scattered crease spots and faded small dents to the perimeter, main cover is actually excellent with a brief few surface dings.

The legendary John Buscema with a beautiful blue cover presenting the first appearance of Tiger Shark and Doctor Dorcas plus Diane Arliss with this awesome aquatic morsel of Marvels Sub-Mariner volume 1 issue number 5 from September of 1968, "Watch Out For Tiger Shark!" Very nice and sharp inner pages with concise edges and not many dings at all, back cover has a super brief bit of print rubbing to the spine and main cover is marvelous with only some minimal creasing to the spine.

Consisting of The Wrecker, Thunderball, Piledriver and Bulldozer, the brawny baddies The Wrecking Crew make their first appearance in this key issue, Marvels The Defenders volume 1 issue number 17 from November of 1974, "Power Play" sees Luke Cage also thrown in the foray in this Sal Buscema/Len Wein wonder. The cover remains spectacular and sharp, inner pages are mostly concise and clean whilst the backing is white and crisp with only a few minor moments of print rubbing and faint yellowing.

Featuring Superman‘s most fabulous imaginary adventures, such as if Superman turned to crime, if Superman retired, if Superman couldn’t save the world, and if the Kents’ had adopted Supergirl, here comes a colossal chunk of super cool Kryptonian tales from early eras — DC’s 80 Page Giant volume 1 issue number 1 from August of 1964, the brilliant beginning of a power and page packed DC series. One chip to the bottom center edge and a few brief moments of waving to the spine area of back cover, almost all of the 80 pages are excellent and sharp and clean with very few dings to them,

Roy Thomas and John Buscema crafted the racially charged and intriguing tale of "Pursue The Panther," Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 74 from March of 1970, as The Sons Of The Serpent intend to drag Black Panther’s name through the mud and depict him as a thief and miscreant. Some brief print rubbing to the perimeter of back cover and the inner pages are mostly fabulous with even edges and sharp corners, main cover is sensational with very few concerns or worries.

Jerry Siegel, Otto Binder, Jim Mooney and Curt Swan to create these two super Metropolis morsels ( the latter to the cool cover of course), "The Secret Of The Mystery Legionnaire" and “A Job For Super Dog,” DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 330 from March of 1965, the first appearance of Dynamo-Boy. Excellent crisp and clean inner pages with very very few dings to them and sharp corners, white and sharp back cover with only some minor print rubbing to the perimeter and main cover is marvelous with only some very faint edge wear to the spine.

Legendary Neal Adams created this haunting and super captivating cover for this third step in the suspenseful and noir soaked series, DC’s The Phantom Stranger volume 2 issue number 3 from October of 1969, while Mike Friedrich and him double teamed the dynamic inner framework with Doctor 13 and Judas The Phantom Stranger at exciting ends. A superb and almost blemish free back cover and clean and concise inner pages with few dings to them, no tears or bends, and main cover has only some slight creasing to the spine and nubbing to the top of it, very faint edge wear to bottom right corner edge.

The devious and dominant Darkseid rears his near-omnipotent head with this second stunner from The King Kirby’s classic and beloved series, the first appearance of Darkseid’s Elite Team ‘Deep Six’ and Bella in "O’ Deadly Darkseid," all luck be with Orion in this outstanding epic — DC’s The New Gods volume 1 issue number 2 from May of 1971. A delightful inner page condition as they’re all terrific, sharp, concise and clean, as is back cover that is fantastic, cover has only some brief spine wear, a truly tremendous copy this one is.

The Reds led by the monstrous Commissar are enslaving the peaceful land of Sin-Cong. The Avengers travel to that land to aid the people. Commissar defeats them all except the Scarlet Witch who discovers and destroys the Commissar's control panel, ending him, in "When The Commissar Commands," Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 18 from July of 1965, while Cap, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver deal with the deadly first appearance of The Commissar. Some slight print rubbing to the spine and center area with edge wear to points in the perimeter and spine of back cover, a few chips to the bottom corner tips of inner pages and one faded fold crease that echoes through to the top corner of a majority of inner pages, main cover has scattered dings and creasing to the right corners, top edge and spine.

Steve Ditko to the spectacular Captain Atom half while Allen Adam battles the Fiery-Icer, and Jim Aparo to the equally awesome Nightshade origin second segment against the first appearance of Image and Senator Eden, Charlton Comics Captain Atom volume 2 issue number 87 from August of 1967. Spectacular, clean and concise inner pages almost completely with hardly any dings to them, back cover has some very brief browning but outstanding overall with great edges, main cover remains marvelous with a very nice spine and corners and very faint factory red print scuff marking to the bottom center.

Loki transports The Absorbing Man to Asgard to challenge the power of Odin while Thor rescues Jane from captivity, and addresses a threat to his secret identity from a reporter (as Doctor Donald Blake), whilst two legends above legends Wally Wood and Jack Kirby teamed up for the dominant cover display to Marvels Journey Into Mystery volume 1 issue number 122 from November of 1965, "Where Mortals Fear To Tread." Slight brief browning to the sharp back cover but it is clean, similar status to the inner pages that are also clean and concise with brief browning and great corners but hardly any dings, and main cover has one small crease to bottom right corner and slight faint nubbing to top left corner but mainly a huge and pesky marker marking to center bottom area.

"Psi-War" sees the unforgettable team of Dave Cockrum, John Byrne, Chris Claremont, and Terry Austin together continuing their epics wherein this one the mutant squad is stretched everywhere from New York to Egypt to even the Astral Plane against the threat of the first appearance of Amahl Farouk possessed by the Shadow King, Marvels Uncanny X-men volume 1 issue number 117 from January of 1979. Some very faint edge wear to the top left corner of back cover but as with the rest of this book, it is clean, sharp and beautiful, inner pages are concise and smooth with a few dings to bottoms and first few pages with a faint faded fold crease to top corner, cover is practically blemish free.

Leave it to the legendary team of George Perez, Marv Wolfman and Dick Giordano to craft this shake-up and stunning chaotic work that was a pinnacle for mid 80’s comic happenings and this is the beginning of it, DC’s Crisis On Infinite Earths issue number 1 of the 12 issue limited series from April of 1985, "The Summoning." A man known as Pariah is destined to watch helplessly as he is drawn from one Earth to another to watch as a wave of anti-matter destroys their universes. Earth-3's universe is the next to fall to the anti-matter wave and the Crime Syndicate is helpless to stop it. Meanwhile, the Monitor orders Lyla to become Harbinger to gather heroes and villains. Taken to the Monitor's satellite, these heroes and villains are attacked by shadow demons until the Monitor drives them away. This landmark includes the first appearance of Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) to the DC Universe, plus the first appearance of Alex Luthor Jr. White and sharp inner pages with some dings to some bottoms of pages but backing and main cover are crisp, clean, sharp and smooth, like the rest of the issues in this particular limited series, a fantastic and fine copy.

A bit more than midway through this tremendous miniseries occurs an earth shattering happening in a series that already included chaotic shake-up one after the other, DC’s Crisis On Infinite Earths number 7 from October of 1985, "Beyond The Silent Night." Superman II and the most powerful heroes of the surviving multiverse launch a full-scale assault upon the Anti-Monitor’s fortress on Qward. During the epic battle that ensues, Supergirl sacrifices her life to save Superman II from the Anti-Monitor, this key issue includes the origins of The Monitor, the Anti-Monitor, The Guardians of Oa (Guardians Of The Universe), and Pariah, but most notably obviously, the death of Supergirl. Wonderful white pages, sharp and clean without any dings to them and the back cover is just the same, white and sharp, cover is excellent with one slight chip to bottom edge of spine, a stunning copy for sure.

An almost double sized issue spectacle, 52 pages complete sees the A team assembling for action while Goliath, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver rejoin the team, plus the first appearance of Ant-Man’s 3 ants in this key gem, plus who couldn’t love the John Buscema Vision corner cover box image for this issue that would remain a mainstay for over 50 issues from here on out, Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 93 from November of 1971, "This Beach-Head Earth." Some slight dings, scuffs and creases to the perimeter of back cover while the inner pages are mostly proper clean and concise with a few dings to their bottoms, cover has some scattered dings, faded creases to the spine and perimeter edges.

The great Gene Colan and Gerry Conway sink their fangs into this fantastic second step into the dark vampiric world of Dracula in his second ever Marvel appearance, Marvels Tomb Of Dracula volume 1 issue number 2 from May of 1972, "The Fear Within," the first appearance of Gort and Dr. Von Harbou. Only some brief print rubbing to the spine of the outstanding and sharp back cover, excellent corners and edges to the inner pages that have faint browning and very few if any dings to them, cover is sensational with hardly any concerns.

Superman himself cameo stars in this first to a Jack The King Kirby passion project series, DC’s The Forever People volume 1 issue number 1 from March of 1971, launching the Darkseid saga this landmark issue does with his first full appearance and 3rd overall, plus of course the first appearance of The Forever People, "In Search Of A Dream," also the first appearance of The Infinity Man. Some brief moments of edge wear to the perimeter and print rubbing and minor creases to the spine of back cover, inner pages are clean and concise with a few dings to bottoms and one bottom corner tip has a tiny fold to it, cover is delightful with only one tiny stain to edge above the title.

Some of the most marvelous moments of FF history included in this astonishing annual but most notably and importantly, the first Silver Age appearance of the original Human Torch as he battles the FF’s Johnny Storm, plus Hulk versus Thing and tons other outstanding occurrences in this landmark gem — Marvels Fantastic Four Annual number 4 from November of 1966, "The Torch That Was," also including the first appearance of Quasimodo. Some yellowing and waving wear to the spine of the back cover, the massive amount of inner pages are somehow mostly all awesome, sharp edged and clean with very few if any dings to them, cover has only super brief wear to the spine and moments faintly to the perimeter, actually a very nice triple sized key issue.

Four phenomenal Joe Kubert cover examples and the beginning and several consecutive steps of a short-lived team-up of JLA giants, DC’s The Atom and Hawkman volume 1 issues 39 (the first title team-up), 41, 42 and 45, spanning November, March, May and November of 1968 into 1969, a full year span. Ray Palmer coupled with Katar and Shayera Hol was a superhero spectacle that never quite caught on in its short time, the lovely lot collects the beginning of the team up with issue 39 and then the end finale with issue 45. Mostly very good to fine issues, all four covers are neat and nice with creasing to the spine and bottom right corner of issue 39 and creases to the spine of issue 42, a moment or two of foxing to an inner page, perhaps a few dings to bottoms but most of them are concise and clean with no major rips or tears or stains, backings are all mostly off-white and sharp except for issue 42 which has some browning and foxing to it.

The magnificent Mike Zeck created some spectacular covers for this five issue and first limited series of Frank Castle’s beginnings, and here’s to random blasts from it — Marvel The Punisher volume 1 issues 2 and 4 from February and April of 1986, "Back To The War" and “Final Solution Part 1.” Both covers are brilliant and near perfect without a single crease to them, inner pages are all white, clean and sharp with only a few dings to their bottoms, both backings are wonderful as well with only a moment or two of print rubbing to them.

Wally Wood’s captivating and courageous post World War hero squad here in their first introduction issue, "First Encounter" showing Dynamo, Noman, Menthor, The Iron Maiden, and the rest of the Thunder team associates in this landmark with their own segments — Tower Comics Thunder Agents volume 1 issue number 1 from November of 1965. Excellent, clean and concise inner pages (there are many of them with this series) with only a few dings to bottoms and the back cover is nice with some moments of print rubbing and scuffs to the perimeter and spine slightly, brief nubbing to the top of spine, cover has one tear to the top staple area and a few super minor moments of creasing to the perimeter.

The first and second appearances of Elric of Melnibone plus the first cameo and full appearances of Kulan Gath in this treasure of savage proportions— Marvels Conan The Barbarian volume 1 issues 14 and 15 from March and May of 1972, together in one lovely lot which you don’t see often at all. The beautiful Barry Windsor-Smith/Sal Buscema/Roy Thomas gems are luckily in great condition, issue 15 is superb to the cover whilst issue 14 has some spinal creasing, very brief browning to issue 14 but even lesser so to issue 15, nice corners and edges to the backings as well as the inner pages with only some dings to bottoms, minor scuff or two, mostly concise and sharp.

Steve Ditko stuns with his work a hundred percent of the time and these early Captain Atoms were perfect examples of his magic, this one sees "The Fury Of The Faceless Foe" being Ghost a few issues after his first appearance and then “The Masked Marauder” in the Blue Beetle half, Charlton Comics Captain Atom volume 2 issue number 86 from June of 1967. Faint browning to the inner pages but they remain sharp cornered, concise and crisp while the back cover is similar and sensational, a near blemish free cover making this a superb copy indeed.

You just can’t beat a Neal Adams / Carmine Infantino cover any way you try, truly magic stuff, such is the case with this epic showcasing the early and dark possessing adventures of Boston Brand the Deadman who second thoughts the body he’s currently occupying, DC’s Strange Adventures volume 1 issue number 214 from October of 1968, "To Haunt A Killer." A few speckled dots and some minor print rubbing to the otherwise nice back cover, mostly concise and sharp inner pages with a few dings to them and main cover is magnificent.

When the webs encounter the frosty ice, the first meeting between Spider-Man and Iceman happens here and with astonishing John Romita cover imagery — Marvels Amazing Spider-Man volume 1 issue number 92 from January of 1971, "When Iceman Attacks," thinking Spidey is causing harm to Gwen, Iceman intervenes and tries to defeat old Web-head. Later, once misunderstandings are resolved, the two team up to take down a crooked politician, Bobby Drake and Peter Parker pounce perfectly together. A single brief ding to the top left corner of the back cover that has only some faint print rubbing to its spine, mostly awesome and clean inner pages with a few dings to bottoms but great edges and cover is terrific with only minimal amount of faded faint creasing to the center of spine and bottom right corner tip.

Such a captivating and intriguing notion as Matt is in "An Arena Of No Return" against Gladiator, Cobra, Jester, The Purple Man and Paladin (here in an early appearance), and with a gorgeous Gene Colan cover of course to cap it off: Marvels Daredevil volume 1 issue number 154 from September of 1978. An excellent back cover that is white, sharp and smooth with only a few minor moments of faded foxing to the top edge, a few dings to some inner page bottoms but mostly concise and marvelous they are and main cover is fabulous with just two tiny edge dings to top left corner edges.

The extra special fiftieth issue phenomenal epic to this Atlantis submerged series, the first appearance of Namorita and the Mutant Crabs in Marvels Sub-Mariner volume 1 issue number 50 from June of 1972 via Bill Everett, "Who Am I?" One or two chips to a bottom tip corner or two and a few dings to some bottoms of the concise and very good inner pages and the back cover is fabulous, only some very faint browning to the perimeter edge of the excellent otherwise cover.

Such a super cool Bob Brown cover to cap off this first appearance of the ferocious mechanical menace The Arsenal in this astonishing Bruno Premiani and Arnold Drake gem, DC’s The Doom Patrol volume 1 issue number 113 from August of 1967, "Who Dares To Challenge The Arsenal?" Mostly nice and concise inner pages with only a few dings to bottoms while the cover has only minimal tiny creases to the spine and a few faded faint dings to the center, back cover has some print rubbing and minor creases to the spine.

Tony Stark encounters the evil of The Grey Gargoyle in this glorious Gene Colan / Jack Kirby Iron Man and Captain America gem — Marvels Tales Of Suspense volume 1 issue number 95 from November of 1967, "If A Man Be Stone" and "A Time To Die — A Time To Live!? Some browning to back cover with two minor faded stains to bottom edge, mostly concise and crisp inner pages with not many dings to them, brief browning, cover has some edge wear to the very top and bottom edge and slightly to the spine, browning and foxing to the frontispiece.

"Superman Under The Green Sun" and “The Downfall Of Superman,” a captivating Curt Swan capsule of early Supes history, DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 155 from August of 1962, and villains Drago and Duke Marple can’t hold Kal-El back. Two tiny dings to the edges and some very faint foxing to the perimeter of the back cover, mostly great inner pages with concise edges and excellent corners, main cover is marvelous with very little concerns besides some very slight creases to the spine.

Legendary work from industry behemoths such as Joe Kubert, Carmine Infantino, Frank Giacoia, Murphy Anderson and tons more here with this rapid rouge raider’s dip into the big and beastly, a true Cream of the Crop Collection of the Scarlet Speedster's most Treacherous Traps plus Nine Empty Uniforms in DC’s 80 Page Giant volume 1 issue number 4 from October of 1964. One faded date stamping to top right corner and some scattered dings to the back cover, bottom of spine has some splitting and nubbing, inner pages are concise and even edged with some dings to bottoms and a folded echoing to top corner tip, main cover has a few minor faint dings or creases.

"If The Coffin Fits, Wear It" and “Countdown To Chaos” showcases more early and stunning Murphy Anderson, Gil Kane and Bob Brown work for the dynamic duo — DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 390 from August of 1969. A superb cover condition that is clean and sharp, a few dings to bottoms of inner pages and one chip to a back page corner tip, back cover is very nice with brief browning and two faded dent marks to bottom corner near spine.

Marvel’s Space Born superhero showcased in early upstarts here with the unforgettable and glorious green Gene Colan cover to compliment the inner Roy Thomas/Colan/Coletta collaboration— Marvels Captain Marvel volume 1 issue number 3 from July of 1968, "The Ashes Of Defeat," knee deep in the Kree/Skrull war. Clean and concise inner pages with proper corners and edges and very few dings to them if any, superb white back cover and main cover is fabulous with only some minor edge wear to the bottom right corner.

"King Solomon’s Frog" sees the beginning of T’Challa in his self titled series seeking out a cryptic and powerful antique that belonged to his grandfather Azzari The Wise (Azzuri), here in his first ever appearance with this Jack Kirby/Mike Royer morsel — Marvels Black Panther volume 1 issue number 1 from January of 1977. Mostly great and concise inner pages with only a few dings to their bottoms and the back cover is very nice with only one crease and a few faint dents, main cover is absolutely marvelous.

"The House That Haunted Batman" and “The Phantom Bullfighter” showcases some truly suspenseful and chilling imagery only hinted at with the haunting Neal Adams cover as Dick Giordano and Don Heck help double up on the devastating artwork inside — DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 408 from February of 1971, a lot of this issue’s imagery would be used later on in future examples of Bruce Wayne’s history. A definite fine and sensational copy this one is, very little to complain about whatsoever; a very sharp and clean back cover with perhaps a faded faint ding or two, equally excellent and sharp edged inner pages with not many dings at all and the cover is truly tremendous with only some very brief creases at the spine.

Marie Severin and Herb Trimpe to the Hulk half of "What Have I Created" and Werner Roth, Bill Everett and Vince Coletta to the creative Sub-Mariner segment “Somewhere Stands Skull Island,” plus Dan Adkins and Art Simek to the captivating cover and when you get that many legends from comic history on one book together you know it’s a bonafide beautiful thing — Marvels Tales To Astonish volume 1 issue number 96 from October of 1967. A super clean and crisp copy indeed, the backing is sharp and smooth while the inner pages are concise and even with only a few dings to their bottoms, cover is sensational with only a minor folded corner tip to the bottom right.

A magnificent JLA morsel via the legends Mike Sekowski and Murphy Anderson to not one but three stellar segments making this diabolical gem an 80 page pounder with a line-up of heroes and villains that is practically never-ending, three tales from extremely early beginnings of hero history from Brave And The Bold, DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 39 from November of 1965, "Starro The Conqueror," an 80 Page Giant released after the cancelation of the series making this a unique issue to the series. Backing is nice and sharp edged with some slight foxing to the perimeter, mostly white and delightful inner pages with only a few dings to their bottoms and main cover has just a few brief spots of wear to it.

Herb Trimpe and Roy Thomas provide the iconic cover and inner imagery for this landmark, the first appearance of the green haired smasher Doc Samson in Marvels Incredible Hulk volume 1 issue number 141 from July of 1971, "His Name Is…Samson." There is a crease down the center length of the book vertical wise that echoes throughout the inner pages and back cover unfortunately, it does not present much at all to the cover as the cover looks lovely and sharp with only faint creases and dings to its perimeter, besides that pesky center crease the rest of the issue is sharp and clean.

Such a spectacular Curt Swan cover (but aren’t they all?) but this one even more ominous than others, taunting the future haunting inner works, DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 374 from November of 1968, "Mission Diabolical," showcasing Supergirl stunning alongside Superboy and the Legion. Cover condition is crisp, clean and superb, only a few dings to bottoms of the sharp and off-white inners and back cover is almost perfect, clean and sharp.

Such a spectacular and iconic splash page to the finale of this Spidey tale, Doc Ock getting the best of Peter creating some super vivid imagery via the legends John Romita and Gil Kane, "Doc Ock Lives!" Marvels Amazing Spider-Man volume 1 issue number 89 from October of 1970, touted as a spectacular showdown and the most spine-chilling battle of the month, and they weren’t wrong. Cover condition is fantastic with only faint creases to the spine, a few dings to some inner page bottoms but they’re mostly terrific and sharp while the back cover is also nice with just some minimal print rubbing in areas.

The first appearance of the beastly behemoth creature Yeti but also a captivation and thrilling battle ensuing between The Human Torch gone wild against The Inhumans as the before summoned back Crystal rejoins the FF in this surefire firework display of excellent comic content, Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue number 99 from June of 1970, "The Torch Goes Wild!" Cover remains delightful with some very minor surface print rubbing to the top edge of spine, mostly nice and clean inner pages and back cover has some print rubbing to the perimeter and a few scattered faint dings.

Old enemies resurface as Iron Man must contend with a new and improved Melter, then Captain America confronts his deadliest foe: the Red Skull, reliable yet radical moments of Tony Stark/Steve Rogers history here as the glorious Gene Colan and Gil Kane create some vibrant and intense action moments, Marvels Tales Of Suspense volume 1 issue number 89 from May of 1967. A few chips to a bottom corner tip of two, a few brief dings and some slight browning to inner pages, back cover has similar browning but excellent corners and edges and is smooth while the main cover has some browning shade to the right edge and some minor creases to spine.

"A God Berserk" sees a stunner of a battle between HIM and the Thunder God the stuff of legend as this instance is the second ever appearance of HIM aka Adam Warlock, a bonafide beauty via The King Jack Kirby, Marvels Thor volume 1 issue number 166 from July of 1969. After Adam Warlock takes off with Sif, Thor picks up his hammer and starts swinging and a battle of brawn and rage ensues between two divine beings. A faded stain of some sort to the bottom corner of the otherwise sharp back cover while the inners are mostly concise and nice with a few dings to bottoms and very brief waving to the top center edge area, main cover is clean, sharp and fabulous.

Something spectacular for sure, Vanguard Comic Con Exclusive The Art Of Michael Golden from 2007, numbered what looks to be number 1 of only 200 on the included certificate, autographed to the cover below Vampira. Both the certificate and the magazine itself are in like-new, clean and sharp condition, one single small crease to the spine and one very tiny stain scuff to center area of cover.

Bruce Banner but in an even more beastly and bigger way here, a smashing lot of Curtis and Marvels The Rampaging Hulk Magazine volume 1 issues 2, 3, 4 and 5 spanning April to October of 1977 and including several spectacular artists and occurrences of outstanding action, Bob Brown, Walt Simonson, Roy Thomas, Doug Moench and many others, plus staggering covers via Ken Barr. All magazines are marvelous in condition, clean and sharp with great edges and corners aplenty, only minor moments of faded dings and brief spots of wear.

It begins from the marvelous magazine that features the first solo Lilith story and just goes on gloriously from there, a lively and vibrant vampire bite in the form of four — Curtis’ Dracula Lives Magazine numbers 10, 11, 12 and 13 spanning January to July of 1975, and featuring bloody good artwork and story from legends galore. Sharp and white backings mostly, clean and concise inner pages however intro page to issue 10 has one chip to bottom, only minor and faint moments of creases or wear.

Spanning 1978 and diving darkly from there all the way into 1980, a five issue smattering of Uncle Creepy’s tales here lurks, Warren Publishing’s Creepy Magazine issues number 95, the 100th issue spectacular, issue 112, issue 113 and issue 121, everything from glorious and gore filled Gorilla warfare to alien infested dystopian wastelands crafted by industry legends. Two issues are sticker labeled very fine / near mints, but the majority of the mags are marvelous, sharp, smooth, clean and concise.

Showcasing two different yet equally spectacular art legends of comic history here with two equally awesome yet interesting items: an autographed and numbered of 500 Will Eisner The Spirit frame card, then the 30th Annual San Diego Comic Con International magazine with Jim Steranko cover and art. Both items like new with no major blemishes or condition concerns.

A stupendous and scare filled bunch of frights for this one, Skywald Publishing’s Psycho Magazine in three terrifying ways: the Psycho 1972 Annual, the 1974 Psycho Fall Special and the 1974 Psycho Yearbook, a creep-filled collection of monstrous moments and thrills indeed. All three issues are clean, sharp and smooth with mostly concise inner pages and nice backings mostly, one chip to the right edge of the 1974 Fall special and some creasing to the back of the 74 yearbook.

Known for his astonishing work with Doctor Strange and the creation of Howard The Duck, Frank Brunner established his legacy early on with wondrous and epic artwork that dazzled many a reader. Here collects two early magazine sized samplings of his collected art and sketches — first, After Image The Art of Frank Brunner from 1978, then The Brunner Mystique from 1976. Some slight creasing tot he spine of the Mystique, besides that both books are beautiful and super clean and sharp.

A devastating amount of dark and macabre imagery and creepy story work of wonder with this insanely huge lot of Warren Eerie Magazines, issues 61, 62, 66, 69, 78, 79, 85, and 86, 8 issues in total and introducing incredible artwork from legends like Richard Corben, Ken Kelly, Jim Starlin and tons others. Most of the magazines are in marvelous condition, ranging from Very Good to Fine, only slight moments of wear and creasing here and there.

Ranging from December of 1977 all the way to August of 1978 and including the title switch, a beastly pounding of proper gamma ray goodness with this glorious lot of Marvel and Curtis’ Rampaging Hulk and into The Hulk issues 6, 7, 8, 8 and issue 10, the title switch issue. All magazine are in stupendous crisp and clean conditions with very little blemishes or concerns.

The first phenomenal chunk of the Crisis saga and phenomenon, a true glorious gift from George Perez, Marv Wolfman and Dick Giordano that shook up the industry and left its mark on comics and pop culture history here with a wonderful lot, DC’s Crisis On Infinite Earths issues 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 from 1985 and including the first cameo appearances of the Anti-Monitor, Captain Atom (to DC universe), Doctor Light and others as the intense action never lets up with storied limited series. All issues are superb and stunning in condition with hardly a single major blemish to any of them, take a look at the pictures provided, super crisp, clean and sharp throughout.

The second stupendous chunk of the Crisis saga and phenomenon, a true glorious gift from George Perez, Marv Wolfman and Dick Giordano that shook up the industry and left its mark on comics and pop culture history here with a wondrous second half lot to complete it, DC’s Crisis On Infinite Earths issues 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 and including the deaths of Flash, death of Starman, death of the Anti-Monitor, and introductions of Ghost, Banshee, Image and many other Charlton characters. All issues are superb and stunning in condition with hardly a single major blemish to any of them, take a look at the pictures provided, super crisp, clean and sharp throughout.

Murphy Anderson, Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowski crafted this cunning and intriguing tale of the world’s greatest superhero squad struck with a deadly debilitating disease to each member, DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 44 from May of 1966, "The Plague That Struck The Justice League." Cover is fantastic with only one minor crease to the bottom corner tip, back cover is very nice with some brief browning and a few faded dents, mostly concise and sharp edged inner pages with some dings to some of their bottoms.

"One From Four Leaves Three" takes a tremendous story and dazzling imagery via legends John Buscema and Stan Lee and brings it to a boil with action and intensity, Reed Richards is trapped in the Negative Zone, along with the revitalized Annihilus. Agatha Harkness arrives at the Baxter Building in the nick of a time but meanwhile Ben Grimm has been acting very strange since he gained the ability to change back and forth to the Thing. Cameo appearances by J. Jonah Jameson and Joe Robertson in Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue number 110 from May of 1971. Some minor lines and small areas of print rubbing to the nice back cover and the inner pages are mostly fabulous with great corners, main cover has one super small and faded crease to the bottom right corner tip but the rest of it is sensational and clean and sharp.

The death of Ilsa Strangeway and an early appearance of The Demons amidst Van Hellsing and the master of monsters himself, Marvels Tomb Of Dracula volume 1 issue number 4 from September of 1972, a pinnacle series for Marvels bite into famous vampire lore for sure. A treasure cover condition with only some super brief and faded creases to the spine, a near perfect back cover and dazzling and concise inner pages just show how delightful this copy is.

It’s the sentinel of the spaceways against Black Bolt, Medusa and the rest of the Inhumans in this final issue of the stupendous first series, Marvels Silver Surfer volume 1 issue number 18 from September of 1970, "To Smash The Inhumans." Some minor print rubbing to spots of the perimeter of back cover, mostly concise and nice inner pages with only a few dings and cover has only one ding to top left edge and a faint few tiny creases to spine.

Accompanied by another stunner cover via legend Neal Adams, this caped crusader gem showcases an extra early team up of Ra’s and Talia Al Ghul: DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 243 from August of 1972, "The Lazarus Pit," the first appearance of it. Batman, Doctor Blaine, Lo Ling, and a new partner Molly Post search out Ra's al Ghul in Switzerland. Upon finding a World War II bunker, Doctor Blaine uses his expertise to find a way inside. The newly formed team enters to find Talia and a deceased Ra's al Ghul. Batman takes Talia into custody, but not before Talia presses a secret button in the room which lowers Ra's al Ghul into a Lazarus Pit and revives him. Outstanding, clean, super sharp and concise inner pages with only a few dings to a page or two to the back, back cover is near perfect and cover is clean, sharp and fabulous, a very nice and crisp copy for sure.

You gotta love these Mike Sekowski/ Murphy Anderson cover pieces to the early and mid JLA’s they just dazzle and mesmerize, "The Most Dangerous Earth Of All" pits all three tremendous teams — the JLA, the JSA and The Crime Syndicate Of America all against each other, resulting in almost an overwhelming and over abundance of outstanding superheroes in different forms of combat and adventure, DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 30 from September of 1964, the superstar spectacle. One minor dent to the bottom of back cover which has some minor print rubbing moments to it, inner pages are mostly sharp and concise while the top staple is loose on the centerfold but the bottom staple is sturdy and intact, main cover is marvelous with only minor faint creases and brief surface scuffs.

A captivating and courageous cover via legend Gil Kane to this Peter Parker product, "A Day In The Life Of," Marvels Amazing Spider-Man volume 1 issue number 99 from August of 1971, Peter gets an assignment to snap some pics of a prison riot and swings in as Spidey to get the inside scoop. Once the situation is resolved, Spider-Man appears on the Tonight Show and gives a speech on the rights of prisoners, also the first appearance of Turpo. Some very brief print rubbing spots and a couple minor crease dents to the back cover, inner pages are nice but some have some dings to bottoms and a few chips to bottom tips, cover is excellent with very little concerns.

An astounding and iconic Namor Vs Thing cover via the legend John Buscema for this awesome aquatic tale that features the first Silver Age appearance of Betty Dean plus the 4th appearance of The Vision, Marvels Sub-Mariner volume 1 issue number 8 from December of 1968, "In the Rage Of Battle!" Some minor spine and edge wear and a few brief dings to the nice cover, backing has browning to the perimeter and inner pages have similar browning plus a few minor dings to bottoms, browning to perimeter of frontispiece.

Awesome Charles Biro artwork to this beyond vintage Golden Age hardcover collecting tales from Young Robin Hood, Crimebuster and tons more, Newsbook’s Giant Boy Book Of Comics from 1945, packed with 240 pages of stellar cartoon and comic adventure of yesteryear. Spine of book has repaired wear, a single price stamping to title, some scattered foxing to perimeter of front and back hardcovers plus some minor nubbing, scuffing and dings. Some faded foxing to the intro page but inners remain very concise and clean for the most part, even edges, great corners with no chipping or nubbing and very few dings.

"The Thunder God And The Thermal Man" sees the Asgardian trooper encountering the Thermal Man, The Warriors 3, Loki, Haag and Balder The Brave in this brimming with action John Romita/Jack Kirby gem: Marvels Thor volume 1 issue number 170 from November of 1969. Two different pen markings to the top right corner of back cover that has some print rubbing to the perimeter, mostly clean and concise inner pages with great corners and main cover has some brief surface print rubbing to the top left corner and one faded crease to bottom right corner, very faint spine wear.

An astonishing and always creepy early Deadman appearance to this Neal Adams/Joe Kubert/Bernie Wrightson/Dennis O’Neil treasure of haunting delight, DC’s Challengers Of The Unknown volume 1 issue number 74 from July of 1970, and Boston Brand has almost never looked deadlier. Some faint faded foxing and brief spits of wear and dings to the back cover while most of the inner pages are nice and concise with great edges, cover has slight spine wear and brief surface rubbing.

The terrible titan Thanos and future wielder of the all powerful Infinity Gauntlet is shown here in his second ever appearance and first cover appearance, stupendous and spectacular stuff from Jim Starlin and Dave Cockrum: Marvels Captain Marvel volume 1 issue number 26 from May of 1973, "Betrayal!" Some creases to the top and bottom right corners of cover, one tiny folded tip and some brief dings to the inner pages and intro page has one marker marking to top right corner, back cover has minor print rubbing and faint bits of wear.

Such an absolutely clever and cool cover by Terry Austin, as the evil and treacherous Arcade plays his vicious games with the mutant squad and their lives hang in the balance — Marvels Uncanny X-men volume 1 issue number 123 from July of 1979. Chris Claremont and team shining brilliantly and repeatedly with wonderful issues like this, such stuff established the X-men we know nowadays. A definite fine, superb, clean and sharp copy this one is, only a minor print scuff to the white and wonderfully edged back cover.

The treacherous Trapster tries to ensnare the man without feat in this early Gene Colan / Stan Lee hi-flying spectacle, Marvels Daredevil volume 1 issue number 35 from December of 1967, "Daredevil Dies First!" Sticker labeled a F/VF to the backing and I concur as this copy is clean and crisp, concise and very nice inner pages, back cover has some brief browning and faint foxing whilst the cover is excellent besides one numbered stamping to the top right corner, some foxing to the frontispiece.

The suspenseful and shimmering entity of gold and hypnotic energy, The Living Tribunal, makes his haunting first ever full appearance in this morsel — Marvels Strange Tales volume 1 issue number 158 from July of 1967, as legends Jim Steranko, Marie Severin and Art Simek were firing on all cylinders and dazzling many a reader with spectacles like such. One chip and some slight edge wear to the top of back cover with two faded stains to the left corners, mostly sharp edges and concise inner pages and if not for a vertical crease the length of the book, the cover would be outstanding but still remains nice.

"This Man…This Monster!" An iconic moment to say the least for the early FF and Ben Grimm, an imposter masquerades as The Thing in this first appearance of the Negative Zone and key Thing story — Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue number 51 from 1966, with a now classic and easily recognizable Jack Kirby / Joe Sinnott / Art Simek cover piece. Very brief browning and edge wear to the back cover that remains great, mostly fabulous inner pages with very few dings and nice corners and cover has some faded creasing to the spine and minimally to the bottom right corner tip.

What a staggering and eye grabbing cover by legends John Byrne and Terry Austin, originally a homage to issue number 56, this cover would go onto become stuff of legend in its own right and referenced often throughout following ages of comic-dom with Dark Phoenix arguably at her pinnacle of power in Marvels Uncanny X-men volume 1 issue number 135 from July of 1980. Almost undeniably a Very Fine copy, concise and sharp inner pages with hardly a ding to them, clean white backing with sharp edges and spectacular cover.

The legend Don Heck only on this cover and inner page imagery as he produces us the first appearance of Arthur Parks, The Living Laser, here in Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 34 from November of 1966, "The Living Laser," and unluckily for the squad, Janet The Wasp is kidnapped in this epic. Concise and clean inner pages with straight edges and fine concerns, a superb back cover condition and main cover brief faint creases to the spine and bottom right corner.

The magnificent Mike Sekowski snapped with this marvelous cover much like the depiction of Superman snapping and tearing into his own squad of heroes, DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 63 from June of 1968, "Time Signs A Death Warrant For The Justice League," as Gardner Fox creates magic with a time traveling Supes overpowering the team. A fabulous back cover with only super faint dings to the spine and inner pages are lovely and lush with only a few chips to some back bottom tips, concise and even mostly, main cover is magnificent and sharp.

Sal Buscema and Frank Miller breathe life into the mechanical workings of the stellar spaceknight here in his first appearance and origin, Marvels Rom volume 1 issue number 1 from December of 1979, "Arrival," including many first appearances to this prior Parker Bros product turned comic superhero. Cover is clean, sharp and smooth while the back cover is sensational and white with one minor fold crease to top left corner, mostly clean and concise inner pages.

Jack Kirby to the captivating unforgettable cover and Don Heck and Dick Ayers to the explosive inner art to this A team assembling, The Avengers are up against insurmountable odds when Kang the Conqueror's endless army attacks. But when his own troops attempt an insurrection, Kang and the Avengers must join forces to save Princess Ravonna, Kang's unwilling bride-to-be, Marvels Avengers volume 1 issue number 24 from January of 1966, "From The Ashes Of Defeat." A browning stain to the top and bottom edge corners of back cover spine but great edges otherwise, inners are mostly concise with a few dings and scuffs to bottoms, main cover is sensational with only minor browning to the book’s body edge.

The crimson speedster behind bars as the treacherous Mirror Master and The Top trounces Barry Allen? Not likely, DC’s The Flash issue number 219 from January of 1973, "The Million Dollar Death-Trap," as Neal Adams, Cary Bates, Dennis O’Neil and crew also include fellow JLA’ers Green Arrow and Green Lantern in this gem. Cover is superb and spectacular with only one minor crease to the bottom right corner, outstanding and concise inner pages for the most part and back cover is white and sharp with some minimal print rubbing to the bottom edge.

The tremendous transforming titan and element wonder Metamorpho here in only his second solo series step, DC’s Metamorpho The Element Man volume 1 issue number 2 from October of 1965, "Terror From The Telstar." Some chips to a few bottom corner tips but the inners remain concise and clean while the back cover has some faint print rubbing moments but is excellent, main cover is marvelous with some minor print rubbing to the spine length.

The first appearance and origin of the Star-Thief touted as the most remarkable menace, here in this Soul Gem powered Jim Starlin spectacle — Marvels Warlock volume 1 issue number 13 from June of 1976, "Here Dwells The Star-Thief," many other series minor first appearance includes within as well. Concise, lovely and proper inner pages with excellent edges and only one ink dot to the introduction page, an almost perfect white and sharp back cover, main cover is fabulous with fantastic edges and corners.

A true bonafide beauty via Curt Swan, George Klein, John Forte and the rest of the super crew as this landmark is the first appearance and origin of Dream Girl, Light Lass (Ayla Ranzz) and also the first mention of the Time Trapper — DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 317 from February of 1965, also the second appearance of Star Boy. Cover is fabulous with faint bits of wear to it, backing has brief browning to the perimeter edges and inner pages are mostly nice and sharp with only a few faint dings, some foxing to the frontispiece.

"Nobody Laughs At The Jester," especially in his first treacherous appearance here, Marvels Daredevil volume 1 issue number 42 from July of 1968 with that glorious Gene Colan imagery, and Matt has his hands full with Foggy, The Disruptor and Death-Stalker as well. A white and sharp back cover with some scattered and faded dings to the perimeter, mostly nice and concise inner pages with a few dings to the bottom of intro page and cover is fantastic with only a few faint lines of print rubbings.

The origin of the Beast Boy told in this Bruno Premiani / Arnold Drake treat, DC’s Doom Patrol volume 1 issue number 112 from June of 1967, "Brothers In Blood." Cover is nice with minor wear to the spine and top and bottom tips of it, excellent edges to the inner pages with only a few dings to them and back cover has some great corners and minor print rubbing.

Another morbid Mike Ploog masterpiece of macabre delight, the Ploog Dracula V. Werewolf cover that is a continuation from Tomb of Dracula but a new origin and beginning for the series as the origin of becoming the Wolf is told and then evolved — Marvel Werewolf By Night volume 1 issue number 15 from March of 1974, treasure from Mike Ploog and Marv Wolfman, the latter practically born to work on this series one could say. A fabulous white and sharp backing with a few faded dents to the top left corner that echo through to some of the inner pages that remain mostly concise, clean and sharp edged, main cover is marvelous and almost perfect.

"Ring Around The Rhino" sees a stupendous Marie Severin / Frank Giacoia cover showcasing Bruce Banner versus the utterly unstoppable Rhino: finally out of prison after his last battle with Spider-Man, is contacted by the men who originally gave him his costume and they offer to give him a new suit with more power. Banner is in prison at Sing-Sing and as Ross is transferring him to a new location, the Rhino attacks and battle ensues. The Hulk is groggy from being sedated but still manages to beat the Rhino to apparent death. Looking for love in all the wrong places, the Hulk grabs Betty from her father and takes off, radical stuff in Marvels Incredible Hulk volume 1 issue number 104 from June of 1968. Cover remains absolutely fabulous with only minor creases to the spine, minor print rubbing to the perimeter of back cover and inner pages are mostly concise, proper sharp.

Wow, this is an absolutely beautiful and brilliant issue condition wise, but more on that later. Three utter giants of comic art created this treasure of a cover, and it glows and glistens: Curt Swan, Carmine Infantino and Neal Adams, what a stunner. DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 376 from January of 1969, seeing Superboy and the Legion of Superheroes against the threat of the demise of Chameleon Boy. Cover is near perfect, sharp and superb, backing is phenomenal with only the faintest crease to the top left corner that echoes only briefly to a few back inner pages that are sensational, sharp and excellent.

How will a living vampire fair against wooden weapons wielded by Blade the vampire slayer? Either way, it’s dynamite action via Gil Kane, John Romita, Steve Gerber and other outstanding legends with the first meeting between Morbius and Blade, Marvels Adventure Into Fear volume 1 issue number 24 from October of 1974, "Return To Terror" and “The Two-Faced Man.” A sensational and sharp white back cover while the inner pages are almost completely clean and sharp cornered with concise great edges, perhaps a minor ding or two, superb cover making this is an stunning and very fine copy.

What a bizzare yet intriguing cover via Ramona Fradon for "Who Stole The USA," Wealthy T. T. Trumbull lures Metamorpho and the Stagg clan to his secret Science Station Alpha in the Grand Canyon, from which he intends to take over the United States, and with which he intends to destroy the Element Man in DC’s Metamorpho The Element Man volume 1 issue number 3 from December of 1965. Sticker labeled a VF-, brief print rubbing to the perimeter of back cover and the inner pages are concise and clean with a few dings to bottoms, cover is excellent with minor surface rubbing to the spine.

Quacktastic! The first appearance of everyone’s favorite foul fowl, Howard The Duck — Marvels Adventure Into Fear volume 1 issue number 19 from December of 1973, "The Enchanter’s Apprentice" while Korek and Man-Thing battle it out. A nice white and wonderful back cover with minimal print rubbing to the perimeter, extremely excellent inner pages with very few dings and fantastic edges while the cover is spectacular, brief creases to the spine.

What a treasure. "Child Of Light and Darkness," “The Fate Of The Phoenix — The Death Of Jean Grey,” “Elegy” (The Origin Of Cyclops), and “Something Wicked This Way Comes,” all together in one tremendous lot, the latter issue being the first appearance of Stevie Hunter, Heather Hudson (Vindicator), the first appearance of Wolverine’s brown and tan costume, but most notably Kitty Pryde joins the X-men. A gargantuan and glorious grab here, Marvels Uncanny X-men volume 1 issues 136, 137, 138 and 139 spanning August, September, October and November of 1980 and with that bonafide brilliance via Chris Claremont, Terry Austin and John Byrne. The only minor condition with all four of these books being some very brief edge wear to the back cover of issue 136, otherwise all four of these issues are fantastic, definitely Very Fine copies, clean, crisp, sharp and concise and just beautiful books.

Featuring two landmark moments of early JLA history in one issue this outstanding book collects also some pin-ups and unique art via the legends Mike Sekowski and Murphy Anderson: DC’s Justice League Of America volume 1 issue number 76 from December of 1969, "The Cosmic Funhouse" and “The Last Case Of The Justice League.” Clean, sharp, crisp and concise inner pages almost completely, which is saying a lot because there’s 80 pages to this giant feature, the back cover is white and sharp with only a few brief faded dings to it, cover is excellent with some minor dings to the bottom edge and slight creasing to the spine.

Phantom Girl, Sun Boy, Superboy ans the remaining Legion Of Superheroes stun and save the day in this wicked wonderful Neal Adams / Jim Shooter gem that features the first appearance of The Tornado Twins — DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 373 from October of 1968. One ding to the top left edge of the back cover and one faded crease dent that echoes through to some of the inner pages that are outstanding and sharp edged otherwise, main cover is marvelous with only some slight nubbing to the top of the spinembut excellent surface condition and sharp corners.

"The Coming Of The Nomad" as Steve Rogers and his iconic shield take a turn in this landmark issue, Marvels Captain America volume 1 issue number 180 from December of 1974, the first appearance of Steve as Nomad, plus the first appearance of Ophelia Sarkissian as Viper in this Sal Buscema / Gil Kane gem that also features the destruction of Viper. Cover is superb, clean and sharp and the back cover only has one faint ding to the top left corner tip while the inner ages are just concise, clean and dazzling.

"Blitzkrieg In Central Park" shows fireworks of the early A team assembly via utter legends John Buscema, Roy Thomas and Don Heck as the mighty Hercules joins the squad in the nick of time against the Super Adaptoid — Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 45 from October of 1967. A faint greenish stain that echoes through to a majority of the inner pages and back cover briefly to the top center edge, otherwise the back cover and inners are very sharp and nice with only minor dings and some bottom center edge wear, main cover is fabulous with some minimal creases to the spine.

"Death Song Of Destiny" sees John Romita, Jim Starlin, George Tuska and other giants tackle the treasure of putting Thing and Dr. Strange together in one epic, Marvels Two-In-One volume 1 issue number 6 from November of 1974. The cover is truly fantastic and almost blemish free, the only condition issue with this copy being a folded left top corner that echoes to most of the inner pages, but they are sharp edged and clean otherwise.

"If The Thunder Be Gone" and “The Origin Of The Incomparable Inhumans” showcases just that, with the origin of Black Bolt, Medusa, Lock-Jaw and the rest of the insanely powerful team — Marvels Thor volume 1 issue number 146 from November of 1967, including a few lesser first appearances. Besides a faint red ink staining to the top left corner of the back cover that echoes through to some of the inner pages and faintly to the top left corner of cover, this is a nice and sharp copy. Clean and concise inner pages and very few dings or creases.

The emerald Crusader Hal Jordan has to tussle and eventually triumph over the treacherous Paul Booker aka Major Disaster in this Gil Kane / Gardner Fox / Sid Greene gem — "Catastrophic Weapons of Major Disaster" DC’s Green Lantern volume 2 issue number 57 from December of 1967. A sensational back cover with only brief browning to the perimeter edges, inner pages are mostly clean and concise with great edges and very few dings to their bottoms, main cover remains marvelous with only some faint edge wear to the top left corner.

Bob Brown, Gil Kane and Neal Adams (what a ridiculous roster) to this dynamic duo stick of dynamite — DC’s Detective Comics volume 1 issue number 394 from December of 1969, "A Victim’s Victim." A marvelous cover condition with only faint creases to the upper spine, inner pages are clean and concise with only few dings to them and back cover has some very brief browning and a few faint and faded dings to the perimeter edges.

Johnny Blaze versus Bruce Banner in this epic and daring desolation run feature, Marvels Ghost Rider volume 1 issue number 11 from April of 1975, "The Desolation Run," the Hulk error issue, via Sal Buscema and Tony Isabella. Cover is impeccable and very clean, back cover is white and wonderful while the inner pages are mostly proper sharp and concise.

The first appearance of Rogue and first ever cover appearance of Mystique in this marvel morsel of magnificent magnitude— The Avengers Annual volume 1 issue number 10 from 1981, "By Friends…Betrayed" with legends like Chris Claremont and Al Milgrom making magic with this landmark. Almost entirely clean, sharp cornered and concise inner pages which is saying a great deal since there’s just so many of them, a near perfect cover condition and back cover is white and truly beautiful, a sure fire very fine copy.

How stupendous in this Kirby cover, even without Strange himself! Thing and Human Torch are tied to the tracks against the Terrible Trio making another appearance after their first in FF but what really makes this landmark remarkable is the first appearance of treacherous towering titan Tiboro to the Strange segment — Marvels Strange Tales volume 1 issue number 129 from February of 1965, "The Terrible Trio." Cover condition is clean and sharp with only some minor creasing to the spine, very brief edge wear and a faint faded ding to the bottom of back cover and the inner pages are mostly proper and clean.

"Bedlam In The Baxter Building" presents another Jack Kirby, Art Simek and Stan Lee gem with the first appearances of Big Rock, Gimlet and The Top Man, Marvels Fantastic Four volume 1 issue number 101 from August of 1970. Even though they are warned in advance, the Fantastic Four are unable to stop members of the Maggia led by the Top Man from taking over the Baxter Building and using it's technology against the FF in an attempt to destroy them. The group is subdued by knock-out gas, put in cement coffins and dumped in to the Harbor. However, Crystal comes around and frees the others. The FF then mount a counter attack on the Baxter Building, retaking it and rounding up all the crooks, Reed catches and reveals the Baxter Building Doorman as the Top Man. Only a few dings to a few bottoms of inner pages and some faint waving to the top right edge of intro page that echoes briefly to the top right edge of cover but cover is terrific otherwise, backing is very nice.

Deep within the wicked wonders of the Super Skrull war, Mar-Vell spares few but appears with the assembly against the first appearance of the Mandroids: Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 94 from dec,her of 1971, John Buscema, Neal Adams, John Romita…so many legends’ work. Off-white and excellent inner pages with only a few dings to bottoms, back cover is very sharp and nice and has minor moments of print rubbing while the cover fabulous with faint wear to the bottom edge.

"Wail Of The Ghost Bride," "Rain Fire," and “While The City Sleeps,” included in this incredible Neal Adams covered capsule of Batman and Robin radical moments, DC’s Batman volume 1 issue number 236 from November of 1971, the haunted and noir soaked Gotham vibes almost never more prevalent. Cover is clean, sharp and smooth with one chip and very faint crease to bottom right corner, backing is spectacular and inner pages are concise with only a few brief dings.

As the Warriors Three, Loki and Balder The Brave bubble with anger, Odinson shines against any odds — Marvels Thor volume 1 issue number 179 from August of 1970, "No More The Thunder God!" Off-white inner pages with outstanding corners to them and very few dings, back cover is also white and very fine while the cover has only one brief faded moment of waving to the bottom center edge. A truly terrific copy for sure.

"Above The Earth, A Titan Rages!" Frank Giacoia and Marie Severin double up on the delightful cover as legend Herb Trimpe performs his usual magic with this iconic series and in this instance Dum Dum Dugan and Nick Fury appear fiercely alongside Banner engaged with the Missing Link, plus the first appearance of the Red Colonel — Marvels Incredible Hulk volume 1 issue number 106 from August of 1968. Clean, concise and crisp inner pages with great edges and back cover is white and nice with only minimal brief bits of print rubbing, cover remains tremendous and almost perfect, tiny bit of nubbing to bottom right corner tip.

As legends Curt Swan and Neal Adams team up to tackle this absolute treasure of a cover for this Smallville spectacle, Modulus menaces Superboy and the LoSH — DC’s Adventure Comics volume 1 issue number 377 from February of 1969, while fellow legend Jim Shooter works magic to the inner "Heroes For Hire." A terrific cover condition with only a few faint dings to the top left corner, mostly proper inner pages with excellent even edges and only a few dings, some brief foxing and print rubbing to the perimeter of back cover.

The Phantom Eagle flies again while Johnny Blaze revs up a fire storm of action via Gil Kane and Frank Robbins’ dazzling with the inner workings of Marvels Ghost Rider volume 2 issue number 12 from June of 1975, "Phantom Of The Killer Skies." Cover is practically perfect and clean, fabulous and clean inner pages completely and backing is white and sharp with only a minimal amount of print rubbing to the spine.

Another incredible Curt Swan / Neal Adams spectacular here, DC’s Superman volume 1 issue number 208 from July of 1968. When Superman saves the town of Cyrusville from a missile misfire, he finds that they hate Superman and that the mayor, Bruce Cyrus has placed a ban on Superman in the town and ordered his police force to attack Superman on sight, "The Case Of The Collared Crime Fighter." Some very brief foxing to the spine and bottom of back cover that has excellent edges, mostly dazzling and concise and clean inner pages with sharp corners and very few dings to their bottoms, cover is excellent with only some slight numbing to the top and bottom corners of spine.

About as iconic as Avengers issue can become to an extent, "Even An Android Can Cry" showcases some stunning and important work via Roy Thomas and John Buscema as the second appearance of The Vision plus his joining the team, Marvels Avengers volume 1 issue number 58 from November of 1968. Cover is fabulous with some minor stain to the top right corner edge and a few faint scuffs, mostly excellent and concise inner pages and back cover has only some brief foxing to the spine.

A truly beautiful Nick Cardy cover piece to this Aqualad, Robin, Kid Flash and Wonder Girl spectacle — DC’s Teen Titans volume 1 issue number 6 from December of 1966, "The Fifth Titan." Some scattered print rubbing to the perimeter of back cover while the inner pages are mostly concise and sharp with faint amounts of browning, main cover has a few brief dents to the spine, but remains terrific.

"To Become An Avenger," “Turning Point,” and “Unmasked By Doctor Octopus” all in this astounding ASM massive morsel, Marvels Amazing Spider-Man volume 1 issue number 3 from November of 1966, The Avengers decide to ask Spider-Man to join the team but first he has to complete a test to prove himself. The test is to capture the Hulk. Some scattered wear and waving to the back cover, which is typical for an issue this size, some slight wear to the bottom of spine and mostly sharp and concise inner pages with great edges, and the cover has only some brief moments of creasing.

"We Vow Death To The Green Lantern" shows the emerald Crusader under fire and hot under the collar: In order to make this public appearance without anyone connecting Green Lantern and Hal Jordan, Hal uses his power ring to create a duplicate that can stand in for him while he is putting on a show for the kids and intense scenes ensue — DC’s Green Lantern volume 2 issue number 64 from October of 1968. Faint Browning and a few brief crease dents to the spine of back cover while the inner pages are mostly even edged and clean, main cover is tremendous with only some faint numbing to the bottom right corner tip.

Touted as the destined to be most talked about super villain of the year, here slugs the first appearance of the Red Guardian, Marvels The Avengers volume 1 issue number 43 from August of 1967, "Color Him…The Red Guardian," John Buscema and Roy Thomas brought brilliance to these pages for sure. Some chipping to the top edge and browning to the perimeter of back cover while the inner pages have great edges and corners but that same browning to the perimeter edges, browning to the frontispiece and a few chips to its top and the cover is excellent with only a few brief creases and dings to the top edge and spine.

"Who Dares Defy The Destroyer?" Absolutely iconic and incredible imagery and cover for this thunderous and tremendous Asgardian specimen, Marvels Thor King-Size Special number 2 from 1966, the first appearance of the Wind Giants and also the first appearance of the Warriors Of A Thousand Galaxies. Some brief waving to the spine which is typical for an issue of this size and some slight print rubbing to it as well, excellent corners and edges to the inner pages that are concise and clean with very few dings to their bottoms, slight yellowing to the frontispiece and main cover is marvelous with only one dated stamping to the H of title and a few faint creases to the spine.
