R Serial # 1632. 8mm Roth-Steyr caliber semi automatic pistol with a 5” barrel. The bore is fair to good, mostly clean with good but worn rifling with frosting in the grooves. The M1907 was the standard sidearm of the Austro-Hungarian Army from 1908 until their defeat at the end of WWI. After WWI, many pistol saw service with Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Italy, Austria and Hungary through WWII. The pistol features a rather complex locked breech mechanism and a fixed magazine in the grip loaded with stripper chargers. The pistol has a Wn 9 proof, it was made around 1909. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in poor to fair condition, worn to near bare metal with dings, heavy scratches and pitting. The blued finish on the receiver and grip frame is in fair condition, showing edge wear and thinning with some very light surface rust on the front and rear grip straps. The plain walnut grips are in fair to good condition, the left panel slightly warped with a small crack, the right panel fits well and has no cracks. 99,000 made from 1908-1914. C&R.
