Placing a Bid:
Placing a Bid If you haven’t registered to bid yet, please go to the top of the page and click the black button “Register to Bid” Once you are registered, you may start placing bids. When clicking on the blue button on the right side of each lot you will be prompted to bid. It will ask you how much you would like to bid, you may place a bid to the next increment being asked for OR place a max bid. Details on placing a max bid are explained in Lot # 3. If you are out bid, you will receive an email notice giving you the opportunity to bid again. It is advised, to not wait until the last minute to bid. Bidding early insures your bid is received and placed on your behalf. Delayed internet service can leave you missing out on getting your bid placed in time. For the most up to date information, make sure you click the button that says “Bid Live”.
Max Bid:
Max Bid Placing a “Max Bid” is a great way to protect your interest in purchasing a lot in the event you lose internet connection or track of time. When you place a max bid, your bid is only advanced IF someone bids against you. For example, if you place a max bid of $1,500 when the lot has a current bid of $900. Your bid will be placed at $1,000, someone else bids $1,100, you are automatically put back in as high bidder at $1,200. This process will continue until bidding stops OR your max bid is reached. Another advantage, if your MAX bid is $1,500 and someone else puts in a MAX bid of $1,500. Because you placed your MAX bid first, you will be awarded first position at $1,500. No other bidders can see max bids and you don’t have to sit in front of your computer placing every single bid. If your max bid is reached, you still have the option to continue bidding.
Pre Bid vs Live Bid:
Pre Bid vs. Live Bid The bidding process changes as we start the closing process of the auction. The online only bidding will transfer over online and live hybrid bidding. At the top of the page you will see a flashing button “Bid Live” you will want to click on that button to enter a NEW page where you will be able to bid from. Once you have entered the LIVE bidding portion, things start happening very FAST. We will close the auction lots in LOT order. Closing can take place within 30 seconds if no additional bids are placed or up to 4+ minutes if multiple bids are taking place. Bids will be taking place online as well as in person at this point in the auction.
