This brace is unmarked and would have been intended for sale through various outlets. Although there is provision for an ivory ring, there is none there. It is quite possible there was none there in the first place - as this would have been wholesale'd out. All said and done, it is structurally in good shape. 308 C.A. Kleeman Student Lamp - 1863/73 Patent Estimate: 200.00 - 400.00 CAD
This is a relatively good example of a nickel-plated student lamp. The patentee was C.A. Kleeman and the lamp was sold in North America through the sole agent C.F.A. Heinrich's of New York. The chimney and shade look to be original and are in good shape. There is a top screw in eye that is missing on the upright. The nickel-plating is oxidized.
