A soft close is in effect for each auction. This means if a bid is placed on any lot in the last 2 minutes of that lot's bid timer expiration there will be 2 minutes added to the lot to allow the other bidder(s) time to bid. This guards against a lot being swiped at the last second and keeps the auction bidding fair.
