A beautiful Imperial Symphonion #6 antique upright Symphonia Doubler Comb Music Box #106. Symphonia Doubler Comb Music Box #106; metal tag on front G. C. Aschbach Music Dealer Allentown, Pennsylvania, one large door opens to expose double comb, Symphonia number 106, comes with 11 discs in Bottom Cabinet. On/Off Mechanism is missing some parts. The Box starts only with the Fast/Slow switch. Speed control does not work properly. All the teeth on the comb appear to be in good condition and plays well. 83 inches tall by 27 inches wide by 18 inches deep. A magnificent 3 train, 8 day, Victorian grandfather tall case clock. A beautiful example signed on the arched section Muh’s Sons Philadelphia. There is an exceptional carving in the bonnet. The construction of the case is simply magnificent with raised panel, base and sides along with beveled glass on the door. a portion of the upper molding on the left side needs to be reapplied and its finials and mounts. The bonnet is finely detailed with fretwork in the side panels, covered with cloth to allow sound to propagate. Glass on the bonnet most likely replace at one time and is missing its lock mechanism. The dial is applied with fine spandrels with elaborate engraving. The works is a 3 train time, strike, 8 bells & gongs. Original pendulum engraved with the November 10, 1900, missing its weights, door key & crank. Untested. Clock measures: 8ft. 7 inches tall x 25 inches wide x 17 inches deep.
