The Auctioneer offers in-house shipping of eligible items/lots to eligible destinations, provided the Buyer covers the associated costs. We ask Buyers who require shipping to please submit an online Shipping Request Form through our website (www.moesauctions.com/shipping) to start the process of getting your eligible item(s) shipped to you.
*** Non-Restricted category firearms and parts thereof can only be shipped to a Canadian address on file with the Chief Firearms Officer (CFO). The shipping address must match the address associated with the Buyer’s PAL. To ensure accurate delivery, it is essential for Canadian Buyers to provide correct information in their Shipping Request Form, including full name as shown on the PAL, PAL number, date of birth, and mailing address associated with the PAL. If any information needs correction, please email support@moesauctions.com.
*** Antique category firearms do not require a PAL and can be shipped to any address in Canada. However, Antique category firearms cannot be shipped to the USA or to other international destinations.
*** Firearms and parts thereof cannot be shipped to the USA or to other international destinations.
*** Bullets, cartridges, and other types of ammunition cannot be shipped to any destination (domestically or internationally).
*** NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AS A RESULT OF A BUYER’S FAILURE TO UNDERSTAND THAT CERTAIN ITEMS/LOTS ARE INELIGIBLE FOR SHIPPING TO ANY DESTINATION AND THAT CERTAIN ITEMS/LOTS ARE ONLY ELIGIBLE FOR SHIPPING WITHIN CANADA OR TO SPECIFIC CANADIAN ADDRESSES.
For shipping of eligible items, we typically use Canada Post's expedited parcel service (the rate for which is calculated based on total size and weight, including packaging) and insure the parcel for the paid value of eligible item(s). There is an additional charge for any packing materials that may be required, as well as a labour charge of $25/hour for the time spent by Auction House staff packaging the items and preparing them for shipment (e.g., we would charge $12.50 for a half-hour of time).
Please note that firearms (including non-restricted firearms, antique firearms, imitation firearms, and replica firearms) and ammunition are regulated products that are subject to specific shipping requirements by Canada Post, and that these requirements will have implications for the cost of shipping, handling, and materials that is incurred by the Buyer. For example, the Buyer will be charged for the time and materials required to ensure that their shipment adheres to Canada Post’s packaging and security requirements for firearms (e.g., the use of trigger locks, cable locks, firearms cases, padlocks, etc.), if applicable. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED TO ANY BUYER ON THE BASIS OF HIGHER-THAN-EXPECTED SHIPPING COSTS.
Information about Canada Post’s requirements for shipping firearms can be found on their website (e.g., at https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/cpc/en/personal/sending-guidelines/restrictions/firearms.page and at https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/cpc/en/support/articles/non-mailable-matter/firearms.page).
Unless the Buyer requests otherwise on their Shipping Request Form, the Auctioneer will charge the Buyer's credit card on file for the cost of shipping, handling, and materials as soon as the applicable costs have been calculated and then will issue an electronic receipt to the Buyer by email. Please note that we will not process the shipment of any items/lots for which there is an unpaid balance owing, and that items/lots will only be released for shipment after the applicable charge for shipping, handling, and materials has been paid in full.
The Auctioneer is not responsible for any loss or damage that may occur after an item/package leaves the Auction House for shipment by a third-party carrier (e.g., Canada Post, a courier, or a transport/shipping/moving company) and shall not be held liable in the event of any such loss or damage.
Although we always try our best to package items so that they are safe in transit, unfortunately we cannot guarantee the safe delivery of shipped items, nor can we guarantee that Canada Post will honour loss/damage claims for eligible insured items. Accordingly, shipping requests are ultimately at the Buyer’s own risk.
