Ke Jiusi was a Yuan calligrapher, painter and connoisseur. Ke Qianzi was promoted by Confucianism in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. Influenced by his father, he loved calligraphy and painting since childhood. In the first year of Tianli (1328), he was introduced by Jiankang Jingren who traveled to study and met King Huai Tutemu'er. Soon King Huai succeeded to the throne and became acquainted with him. The emperor was Emperor Wenzong, and was awarded the title of Chief of the Dianrui Academy of the Seventh Rank. The following year, he was promoted to the Doctor of Book Appraisal of the Kuizhang Pavilion of the Fifth Rank, specifically responsible for the appraisal of epigraphy, calligraphy and painting collected by the palace. After Wenzong's death, he put on his clothes and returned south, retreating to Yuzhiqiao, Songjiang, Wuyu.
