The estate of Kinuyo Sugiyama, Kahei Theater, Hawi (Kohala) Hawaii 96719. After almost 85 years the family is ready to sell the contents of both this iconic theater and the residence next door. This local favorite theater was family owned and operated since opening on November 20th 1940. Originally the family lived above the box office and then the house next door. The theatre with a two-story building with a quaint residence just before entering the town of Hawi. The theatre showed two or three different movies each weekend. This estate includes all the furniture and household items as well as some theater related collectibles. There is a brand new Handi-Ramp aluminum wheelchair ramp BRAND NEW! The family paid $14K including shipping to Big Island and it never was put to use. Additionally, we have some really great items, blacksmithing anvil and swage block as well as hammers and the like. 1930's Coca-Cola cooler and many embossed bottles from the same era. We have a collection of Kimonos, Obi belts, Monkey pod living room set, art, an amazing GE oven, morgan dollars, jewelry, watches, tools, gas stove, Japanese antiques, dishes, collectibles, storage items, Disney art, a massive safe, and a HUGE collection of Ikebana ceramics. There is something for everyone from antiques to vintage items.
