An attractive example of this elusive colonial era issue. Tied for FINEST GRADED at PCGS, the pleasing pewter-dove toned billon surfaces have a soft frosty luster. The deep brown tones are even and the surfaces show only the most minor roughness. The eye appeal is excellent for the grade, and this CHOICE VF is a perfect collector grade coin. PCGS 18, NGC 8. C-2. An attractive example for the grade. Medium brown surfaces show some accents of olive and tan. There are a few minor, natural marks from its extensive circulation, but nothing that detracts from the great eye appeal of this CHOICE FINE early half cent. Struck from die state IV with a sharp die break from M in AMERICA through the wreath, over the top of F in HALF, across to the bottom left serif of the first T in STATES to the rim. Another one begins at the rim above N in UNITED, through the wreath to the N in CENT. They are generally smooth, and devoid of any planchet roughness or any serious marks. Well struck and offering a very nice look overall with even, light wear on the surfaces. PCGS 32, NGC 6. The last one to sell was CAC approved and realized $870 in June 2018. Prior to that, one sold for $940 in February 2018. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,050. This coin is fresh to the market and is housed in an old blue tag holder. Medium brown with lighter reddish-orange-brown hues blended in areas. Some minor, darker toning spots can be seen with effort. Wonderfully eye appealing. PCGS 37, NGC 27, CAC 12. The last one sold for $1,560 in March 2018 and this one realized $1,645 in the 2014 FUN auction. The current Collector's Universe value is $1,750. Retoned after an ancient light cleaning, there are traces of luster clinging to the protected areas of the design type. Areas of bluish toning over traces of rosy-red and brown surfaces. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $940 in February 2018 and prior to that, one sold for $999 in June 2017 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,500. FROM THE SAND HILL COLLECTION. B-3, C-3. The only non-overdate variety for 1808. Wonderfully original with moderate, problem free circulation. Smooth fields are a deeper brown hue with lighter hues over the lightly worn devices. The eye appeal is wonderful for the grade. PCGS 23, NGC 5, CAC 2. No CAC-approved example has ever sold in auction, and the most recent PCGS-graded example brought $470 in March 2016. This highly pleasing example will see strong bidding. Good luck. Cert. C-5, B-5. A popular repunched mintmark variety that used to be referred to as 1809/6. The nomenclature has changed and is now called a 9 over inverted 9, where the engraver punched the 9 over the incorrectly punched upside down 9. This is a choice looking example, very high end for the assigned grade. Evenly toned in a soft, medium mahogany brown, with milk chocolate and golden accents in areas. The surfaces are smooth and free of any serious marks, spots, or flecks. Indeed, with the rich underlying luster, it has the look of a higher grade. This wonderful early half cent has superb eye appeal for the grade and is worthy of any collection of half cents or type coins. PCGS 12, NGC 14, CAC 4. The only CAC approved example to sell in auction realized $1,763 in June 2016 and the current PCGS Price Guide lists a value of $1,600. This coin has a stronger eye appeal than the one sold in 2016, and should sell for a stronger price. Keep in mind the PCGS value more than doubles one grade point finer. B-1, C-1. Easily identifiable by the heavy die file marks to the right of the date. Both sides are extremely lustrous with warm chocolate brown surfaces and hints of icy-blue and pale iridescent violet. The devices are essentially razor sharp in strike with nearly complete definition throughout. We note a tiny hairline in the obverse field between the bridge of Liberty's nose and the stars, which is likely why this CHOICE example did not get a CAC bean. The eye appeal is very strong. PCGS 2, NGC 0. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,150 and we know this coin will attract very fierce bidding. Even with the tiny mark, we really do like the eye appeal very much. Lots of brilliant RED luster blooms throughout the fields on both sides with pleasing brown-blue-violet areas that have mellowed from the original mint red color. Here is a very impressive 1827 large cent in wonderful CHOICE Mint State grade. Rich bronze surfaces show a brick-red and medium chocolate-brown with violet overtones. Lustrous surfaces show off sharply struck devices. The surfaces show a few tiny marks, none that are singularly distracting, and we believe PCGS was spot on with the 63+ grade. PCGS 45, NGC 7, CAC 12. This is the only MS63+ BN graded at PCGS, and it has not sold in auction. This is not the NGC coin that sold in January 2016 in a weak market for $2,233. A regular PCGS/CAC MS63 BN sold for $2,585 in June 2017 and in the same sale a PCGS/CAC MS64 sold for $8,225. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $2,600 and this coin should easily surpass that level when it crosses the block. This is a really great looking representative example. Cert. Fantastic chocolate brown surfaces show ample tinges of original mint red with a dusting of violet, as evidenced when rotated in a light. Fully struck, Ms. Liberty’s hair curls are needle sharp as are the leaf details in the wreath. Very smooth fields are fully GEM quality and there are no marks or flecks to describe. Very pretty. PCGS 47, NGC 19, CAC 26. This GEM is about as nice as you can expect for the assigned grade. Based on eye appeal alone, this GEM should sell for a very strong price. What a brown GEM late date large cent should look like! Bold lustrous surfaces swirl all over, bringing a vivid dimension to the superb eye appeal. This remarkable high end MS64 sold for MS65 money in November 2013, realizing $2,585. This is a very high end and boldly reflective GEM Proof Indian Head cent. Blazing, full red mirrored fields beam brilliantly with a super bold clarity. Mostly RED, this RB shows just some modest mellowing to light brown. A GEM of the first order, the eye appeal is superb, and is fully worthy of its status as tied for FINEST RB graded at PCGS. PCGS 26, NGC 16, CAC 11. NO RB is graded finer at either service. It has been over three years since the last CAC approved example sold, selling for $940 in a September 2015 auction. There are earlier records at $1,058. The current PCGS value is listed at $900. Light even wear on the high points and a lack of distracting contact marks distinguishes this key date Lincoln Cent. Glossy chocolate brown surfaces with a tiny fleck of verdigris on the reverse are quite pleasing. PCGS 93, NGC 65. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value as $1,600. One of the FINEST 1914-S cents in the BN category, and truth told, that color designation does not do this gorgeous GEM any justice! Rich underlying reddish-brown surfaces have a bold satiny luster that blooms in a light bringing out the cobalt-violet-teal overtones. Problem free surfaces and sharply defined devices are awe inspiring. PCGS 16, NGC 11. CAC 3. No CAC-approved example has ever sold via auction. Non-CAC approved examples have sold in the $720 to $1,116 range, none sold since November 2017. The current PCGS value is $1,150. We can honestly say that this coin is probably the prettiest of those graded, and there is just one finer in the BN category, a 66 that has never sold in auction. Mint red dominates, but this near-gem is just beginning to fade to a mellow brown with some light toning dots. This is a truly SUPERB, mint fresh GEM! Blazing, fiery RED luster radiates with extreme brilliance on both sides. The strike is as crisp as you could ever hope to see. Trivial contact is noted, and we think NGC got this one spot on. The eye appeal is stunning! PCGS 553, NGC 216, CAC 108. This is the only "+" graded at NGC, and has never sold in auction. There are records of PCGS/CAC MS66+ RD at $240-$288 and the current CU value is listed at $325. That seems cheap for a coin of such high end quality! Cert. Number 74629822001 PCGS # 2569

BLAZING mint red luster and a bold strike, it looks as though this coin was removed from the dies with cotton gloves and lovingly stored and looked after. No distracting marks or flecks to be described, even under a strong glass. The details on Honest Abe are fully rendered, and even on the reverse there is full separation among the lines in the wheat ears. PCGS 15, NGC 1. NONE are graded higher at either service. The last two examples in 67+ RD were CAC approved and realized $3,720 and $3,600 in the FUN 2018 auction. One of the most popular Wheat cents in the entire series, the 55 Doubled Die has been highly sought since it was discovered. Simply stunning! Our sister company Legend Numismatics having built the #1 all time set of three cent silvers, has taught us how these come, and this one is among the finer examples they have seen! This is an exceedingly HIGH-END piece. We think the deeper toning is why PCGS did not designate it a MS67. Superb surfaces are as perfect as you will ever see. Even using a strong glass there are no imperfections to be found. The luster is moderate and deeper toning evenly blankets both sides in totally original shades of brown/forest green/pale navy that swirl all over. Every detail is sharply struck. While "only" a 63+, this coin has a solid eye appeal that is certainly closer to 64 quality than 63 quality. PCGS 124, NGC 95, CAC 11. This is the ONLY MS63+ graded and this coin sold in March 2011 for $1,150. We sold a PCGS MS64 CAC in our February 2017 Premier Session for $1,100 and we like this coin better. At first glance, this coin appears to look like a Proof. This coin is both pure SUPER HIGH END end quality and is super flashy! Magnificent mirrors beam as boldly as possible from all over. There are some light Mint Made striations and some light clash marks which totally prove this coin is MS and not a Proof. Over all, the coin is amazingly clean. The mirrors are also super clear. Add a booming luster that beams from all over and you have real flash. There is a touch of moderate reddish gold/blue by the peripheries. The details are actually needle sharp in strike. Only 3000 were ever minted. Not a date or grade you see offered even in major auctions. This coin is HIGH END and is fabulous! In case you do not know, Legend Numismatics has built the FINEST EVER MS 3CS set-the Simpson Collection. We know our 3CS in MS+PR! This piece is an unquestionable MS. The surfaces are smooth, have prooflike tendencies, and do emit a strong luster. There are NO noticeable problems anywhere. A beautiful mix of colors form a ring of pearl green/gold/pale blue that opens into lighter lavender centers. This coin is NOT dull or drab. Every detail is sharply struck and has generous frost. VERY RARE in DCAM! Wonderful deep contrast between the bold, frosty white devices and the highly reflective mirrors that beam from all over. Light iridescent toning can be seen on the reverse. A very HIGH END COIN! Rich contrast is evident between the raised relief's and chrome-like reflectivity of the fields. Totally original and handsomely toned with soft pastel iridescent toning, which deepens toward the rims. Mostly well struck, the areas of minor weakness show why this metal was so difficult to work with. A warm underlying nickel-silver luster adds to the eye appeal. PCGS 531, NGC 577, CAC 75. There are only five graded MS64+ at PCGS, and this is the ONLY one to have ever sold in auction realizing $1,265 in November 2011. This is truly a borderline-GEM 1867 nickel worthy of any special set of this first nickel series. The nickel-silver luster is frosty and has a wonderful look. Sharply struck on both the obverse and reverse. Numerous die cracks show how challenging striking coins in this composition was, and why part way through 1867 the reverse rays were removed from the design. PCGS 160, NGC 193, CAC 23. This is the ONLY MS64+ graded at PCGS and there is no record of it selling in auction. A PCGS/CAC MS64 sold for $1,020 in October 2018 and a PCGS MS65 CAC sold in the 2017 FUN auction for $2,820. In 64+, the Collector's Universe value is listed at $1,350, but since this coin is so close to 65 quality and eye appeal, it should sell for more. Very nearly mint state with the majority of the mint luster intact, and pleasing gray toning. The under-digit 2 is clearly visible just to the left of the 3. Diagnostic for this die variety is multiple obverse die breaks including above and through the date and below and through the legend ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’. An interesting Red Book listed variety struck in the last year of issue for Shield Nickels. PCGS 36, NGC 19. THE PCGS Price Guide lists the value at $1,800. Lustrous gold-gray surfaces appear mint state without a glass. Only with magnification can the slightest of wear be discerned. Somewhat softly struck with a few obverse planchet flakes. Superb Gem Proof Liberty Head Nickel Last offered in our January 2018 auction where we described it as: If all Proof Liberty Head nickels looked like this, the market values would be a lot higher! This is a very high end example of this early date Buffalo nickel, bested by only the Angel Dee's MS67+ that we had the pleasure of selling in December 2016. Icy nickel-silver luster with pale, sky blue and gold tone that comes out with a seductive pastel glow. Sharply struck up devices stand out and the only thing we can find that would preclude a green bean are a few tiny toning dots hidden in the Indian's hair and feather, which are visible only with a strong glass. The eye appeal is excellent and deserving of its lofty grade designation. PCGS 32, NGC 12. This is a VERY pleasing GEM Buffalo! Actually, this coin is MAGNIFICENT! Both sides are super clean and sleek. A strong luster shows off NO spots or streaks. The color is a mix of nickel and faint golden brown/lilac/gold in a few areas. ALL of the details are well struck. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 391, NGC 87, CAC 97. This is indeed a glorious 31-S nickel, essentially of SUPERB quality and the eye appeal is certainly that! Boldly lustrous with concentric bands of pastel iridescent toning, this coin is sharply stuck through out and the eye appeal is exceptional! PCGS 222, NGC 24, CAC 52. There are 11 graded MS66+ at PCGS and only eight coins finer. The most recent PCGS MS66+ CAC sold for $3,120 in April 2018 and the current Collector's Universe value is listed at $2,500. This coin was last sold at auction in January 2018 when it realized $2,160. VERY RARE ANY FINER, with just 8 coins listed in the PCGS Population Report in higher grade. Though not noted on the holder, this is the Large 8 variety, JR-4. Very pleasing overall with a classic, old time look. Soft dove/pewter silver-gray surfaces have subtle iridescent gold highlights seen here and there. Both sides show light, honest wear and a better than normal strike for the variety. The eye appeal is quite nice for the date/type. While the authors of the JR reference referred to this variety as the most common for the year, they do not appear this nice with much frequency. PCGS 4, NGC 1. No AU53 graded by either service has ever sold via auction. Housed in an older NGC holder, we can tell you this is not a recent upgrade of the NGC AU50 sold in April 2015 for $4,465. JR-3. Here is a very pleasing, fully CHOICE Capped Bust dime with a bold, satin luster with a superb frostiness to the surfaces. Well struck, both sides show nice complete definition to the devices. Pearly-gold and sliver hues delight the eye. PCGS 42, NGC 31, CAC 5. The most recent MS63 with CAC approval was the NGC coin sold in the May 2015 Gene Gardner auction for $3,055. Using a strong glass you can see the slightest touches of friction and there is a tiny reeding mark that accounts for the assigned grade; otherwise the initial appearance is that of a Mint State coin. PCGS 40, NGC 43, CAC 8. This coin last sold in November 2012 for $676 and is the only CAC-approved example to have ever sold in auction. The first type, struck for just two years, is, in many numismatists' opinion, more elegant and better proportioned than the later with stars on obverse type. Smooth and generally defect free, this wonderful CHOICE example is fully lustrous and dusted with just the slightest touch of iridescent toning. The eye appeal is very high end for the assigned grade. PCGS 63, NGC 50, CAC 3. NO CAC coin has ever sold in auction before. Speaking to its quality, this coin realized $2,820 in a November 2013 auction, before it was CAC-approved. FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. One of the most popular dates in the Seated dime series, dubbed the "Orphan Annie" by collector Frank Ross who hoarded the issue. While not a great rarity, it is a low mintage with only 72,500 struck. Many survivors today are either impaired in some way, or low grade. This is a very choice and original VF coin with a great look. Medium silver-gray color is accented wonderfully with overtones of teal-blue and rose. The details are boldly defined, more so than you might ever expect for a VF20, and the eye appeal is beyond exceptional! PCGS 34, NGC 10, CAC 7. NO CAC approved example has ever sold in auction. This is likely from a hoard of 613 pieces that sold in 2013 or a group that came out in 2009. Regardless, it is a very pleasing example in this popular collector grade. FROM THE SAND HILL COLLECTION This coin is all about the target toning pattern. Marvelous multi-colored toning surrounding white centers resulting from long-term storage in an album or cardboard holder. The grade may be technically correct due to the light even wear on the high points, but the eye-appeal is absolutely dazzling. The term “GEM AU” is certainly appropriate. In 1853 arrows were placed at the date to denote a reduction in the silver weight. PCGS 127, NGC 61, CAC 17. This coin last sold in November 2011 for $920; we expect that number to be matched or exceeded due the coin’s incredible eye-appeal. Cert. Number 20573271 PCGS # 4603

A totally ORIGINAL GEM Carson City dime that will delight any serious Seated dime specialist. Dove/pewter silver-gray patina is accented by soft olive and russet-tan hues. Brilliantly satiny with a warm glowing luster under the color accenting the sharply struck devices. Clearly this coin was housed in an old collector envelope for some time and was able to acquire the great color. PCGS 50, NGC 72, CAC 19. The three most recent examples sold in the $1,440 to $1,998 range and the current PCGS value is listed at $2,150. One of the FINEST 1882 dimes that survived, bested by just two coins graded MS67+ at PCGS. One look at this SUPERB GEM and you can see why! Boldly lustrous with blazing cartwheel bloom on both sides accents the wonderful neon aqua-teal, deep gold, and variegated iridescent hues. The devices are generally crisp and well struck up with bold definition. The only distraction is an ancient finger print on the reverse, that blends with the totally original toning. The eye appeal is very high end. PCGS 16, NGC 26, CAC 12. The last one to sell did not have the beautiful toning of this SUPERB GEM, and realized $2,585 in our July 2017 Regency Auction. Prior to that, two examples sold in late 2014 for $2,820 and $2,938. The only 67+ to ever sell in auction realized $5,170 in our November 2018 Regency Auction. A coin like this makes us step back and marvel how it has survived in such a pristine state of preservation for 131 years. The surfaces are flawless-even under the scrutiny of a strong glass. There are faint traces of semi-prooflike mirrors on both sides. A strong luster illuminates the original rose/violet/navy/forest green colors that sparkle all over. Deeply reflective mirrors beam with the boldness and clarity of a freshly minted Proof. Crisply formed devices were imparted into the planchet with a strong, forceful blow from the highly polished dies. The devices are nice and frosty silver white that produces a wonderful contrast with the fields. The slightest touch of color clings to the periphery, especially on the reverse, giving this GEM a wonderful look. There are no singularly serious lines or spots. Only 600 Proofs were struck. Frosty and lustrous with faint blue-gold highlights. The faintest rub on Miss Liberty’s cheek can be detected upon careful examination; the coin is otherwise choice mint state. This seldom offered variety is distinguished by a diagonal line in the bottom loop of the 3 in the date. PCGS 8, NGC 0, CAC 2. Listed in the current PCGS Price Guide at $1,650. Only 3 auction records in this grade with the sole CAC example sold in August 2011 for $2,185. Appealing russet and olive toning attests to this coin’s originality and accounts for CAC approval. Unobtrusive obverse surface lines visible with magnification are consistent with the assigned grade. The mintage is that of a common date, but relatively few were saved at the time of issue, and few survive in choice or gem mint state. PCGS 10, NGC 12, CAC 4. In the annals of American numismatics, few coins are as well known as the 1916-D Mercury dime. A key date issue, with a mintage of 264,000, many collectors spent hours searching rolls of old silver dimes in the hopes of finding one in circulation. The 16-D is also a date that is easier to find in Mint State and or ultra low grade, than in pleasing mid-range, collector oriented grades like the present CHOICE XF45. Offering strong definition on both sides, only the lightest moderate wear is seen on the surfaces. Pulled from commercial channels long ago, and allowed to acquire a lovely layer of dove patina with hints of lavender and lilac. No serious marks are noted even with the aid of a powerful loupe. PCGS 112, NGC 47, CAC 26. The most recent examples sold in the $5,160 to $5,640 range and were not CAC-approved; the most recent CAC coin was sold nearly three years ago in April 2016 for $6,750. A great looking XF like this is worthy of inclusion in a very carefully chosen set of collector grade coins. Cert. Number 11276974 PCGS # 4906

With a mintage of nearly 10 million, the 1919-D dime is not a particularly rare issue, but with a full strike, that includes all three bands being split and rounded, this date is among the keys. Near-Gem quality, this lively coin has a rich mint frost that accents the sharply struck devices. Original, pearly silver are undisturbed by any serious marks or ticks, offering a strong eye appeal overall. PCGS 98, NGC 35 CAC 15. We sold the most recent PCGS/CAC example in our September 2016 Regency Auction for $3,878 and more recently a non-CAC coin sold in June 2018 for $4,080. Ex. Hallett Tied for FINEST graded, and in terms of preservation, this coin is essentially PERFECT! Exceptionally brilliant mint luster beams from all over accenting the sharply defined details. The eye appeal is simply SUPERB. PCGS 27, NGC 5. Sitting at the top of the Population Report. This coin sold in August 2013 where it realized $1,998 and in a previous appearance, it realized $3,565 in July 2003. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,350, but the present coin should clearly sell for more. NONE are graded finer, so this one will fit in any high end set. Cert. FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. Here is a wonderful slider overdate Mercury dime for an collector. Highly lustrous and offering nicely struck up definition to the devices. The central bands are not fully formed, but every other detail has a complete strike. A few tiny marks from the brief stay in circulation are all that really can be seen to keep this coin from a Mint State grade. PCGS 146, NGC 165, CAC 36. The most recent PCGS/CAC example we can find that sold in auction realized $1,586 in August 2016 and the current PCGS price is listed at $1,600. Ex. Hallett A high end looking example that is one of the highest graded. Sharply struck and boldly lustrous, this coin is bested by only two MS68+ FBs. The reverse has a splash of olive-gold across the center. The eye appeal is bold and the quality is deserving of the lofty assigned grade. PCGS 103, NGC 50. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,000. Only two MS68+ FB are graded finer, neither of which have ever sold in auction. This is one of the finest. Cert. Number 50058361 PCGS # 5053

We looked at this coin over and over and do NOT see why CAC did not sticker it. Must have been a heck of a bad day! Outstanding deep mirrors beam boldly from all over. The mirrors display tremendous clarity and flash. when you twirl this coin the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of ice Using a really strong glass yields no imperfections. This coin also has some real contrast-very rare. The eye appeal is phenomenal. PCGS 49, NGC 81. The last NON PCGS piece to sell in auction brought $990 in April 2018. We'd bet that coin looks no where near this coin. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $4,993 in June 2013. Yes, with the bean these are rare-this coin clearly proves why! B-1. A truly wholesome example of this important KEY date early quarter. Bold definition to the design elements stand out against high end for the grade quality surfaces. Hints of pale blue can be seen on the even light gray surfaces. The eye appeal is very bold for the date and grade. Only 6,738 quarters were struck, most disappearing into early U.S. federal period commerce. Most survivors today are not just heavily circulated, but have serious condition flaws like cleaning, tooling, etc. This wonderful example shows only honest, even, and wholesome wear, making it a highly desirable piece for the early type collector. PCGS 26, NGC 7, CAC 7. A darker toned example, the only other CAC-approved F15 to ever sell in auction realized $10,350 in the 2012 FUN auction. No F15 has sold in more than 2 years. This is a condition census level B-3. Satiny mint luster blooms though out the fields gleaming through a layer of pastel iridescent rainbow hues that are evenly dusted across the surfaces. Struck from an interesting die state with a light crack on the obverse from star 8 to the top of the cap, heavy die clash marks on the central obverse, and a light die crack on the reverse. The eye appeal is stunning for the grade, and the quality is very strong for the assigned grade. We love the look of this coin and it is ideal for any quality oriented choice to gem type set. PCGS 28, NGC 37, CAC 11. There has not been a CAC approved MS63 ever sold in auction. The most recent example was NGC graded and sold for $4,560 in February 2018. The last three PCGS coins sold in the $2,350 to $2,880 range. The current PCGS value is listed at $4,100 and this really CHOICE coin could well bring close to that level. It is very HIGH END! Cert. WOW! This coin is exceptional in every way! While not the highest graded, this coin certainly has a wonderful look that is better than some graded finer numerically. Richly toned with a seductive orange-gold at the centers with a frame of cobalt at the rims on the obverse, while the reverse is a mix of soft pewter with tan, lilac, and iridescent tones. A warm, glowing, underlying satin luster blooms under the original patina and accents the subtleties in the coloration. The strike is razor sharp and the eye appeal is exceptionally high end for the more modest grade assigned. PCGS 23, NGC 10, CAC 1. This coin has not appeared in auction that we can tell, certainly not as a CAC approved coin. It has a classic, old time collection look that reminds this cataloger (GC) of the Buffalo and Erie Historical Society Collection that Stack's sold in 2005. Beautiful! This is about as high end a 58 as can be imagined. Semi-reflective, watery luster blooms under a layer of teal and gold toning. The devices are fully struck up and the surfaces barely show any traces of rub. Needless to say, this "GEM" AU is a true delight to behold and worthy of inclusion in any set of this challenging series. PCGS 14, NGC 17, CAC 9. Only two PCGS-graded AU58s have ever sold in auction, the most recent the George Scanlon- AJ Vanderbilt Collection in March 2018, a coin that sold for $900. A lovely album toned slider. Satiny luster under a delicate central dusting of gold and bands of brilliant blue at the rims. A lower mintage date with only 340,000 struck and is typically seen in low grades. This coin is very pretty, totally original, and wonderfully eye appealing. PCGS 8, NGC 23, CAC 5. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $999 in November 2016 and was not CAC. Go ahead and toss out the Price Guide, its value is clearly too low! Good luck. Cert. RARE CLOSED 3 QUARTER Bright white, lustrous and quite close to mint state with only a hint of wear on the high points. A scattering of light contact marks and signs of a possible old cleaning are non-distracting. Few survive from a low mintage of 40,000. PCGS 2, NGC 0. Current pop reports list only 7 finer (MS 61 5, MS62 2). Only 59 graded by PCGS and 16 by NGC in all grades. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value as $11,000. 3 AU58 coins have been sold at auction since 2006 with the last realizing $8,812 in May 2015. Graded at a time before PCGS designated Cameos, this flashy, pleasing, and CHOICE Civil War date quarter is a borderline CAMEO. There are traces of toning at the rims, and the surfaces show only a few minor lines which account for the assigned grade. Only 470 were struck. PCGS 30, NGC 10. The last PR62s to sell realized between $925 and $978 and t he current Collector's Universe value is listed at $850. Cert. Number 8221594 PCGS # 5560

Simply STUNNING! Really, what a blazing SUPERB GEM Proof! Boasting mint fresh, blast white surfaces that have a light gold tone only on the rims. This SUPERB GEM is the SOLE FINEST non-Cameo Proof 1881 quarter graded by PCGS. One casual glance at it and you know that not only is this coin very high grade, but its seductive eye appeal is also so special that even the most jaded specialist will fall in love. The richness of the toning is the first trait that draws your attention in, the blue, teal, amber, and gold obverse tone arrests your eye. Underneath the spectacular color are beaming, flashy, watery, quicksilver like mirrors that accent the razor sharp definition of the devices. One of the big three Barber quarter dates, the 96-S saw a mintage of just over 188,000, most of which went straight into circulation. Evenly worn on both sides, with deep toning in the fields and lighter reliefs. A few old lines are noted for accuracy, but the eye appeal is better than decent. A KEY date rarity that eludes many collectors. PCGS 15, NGC 3. Don't let the population fool you, only 1 PCGS VF20 has ever sold in auction, back in 2005! The current PCGS value is listed at $3,000 and we think this coin will bring that or more today. Cert. Number 36163373 PCGS # 5615

A minty fresh SUPERB GEM. Well struck frosty white with faint golden iridescence and great eye appeal. The surfaces are smooth and essentially mark-free even when examined with a strong glass. We can understand the reasoning for the plus grade and CAC approval, but can’t see why this coin isn’t in an MS67 holder. PCGS 29, NGC 7, CAC 16, includes 16 PCGS MS66+. Only 4 coins graded MS67 and one 67+ finer.. The current PGCS Price Guide value $2,200. This coin sold for $2,585 in our September 2018 Regency Auction, but our client changed directions. A pleasing patina of russet, olive, and blue blankets the obverse; the reverse patination is translucent, permitting the substantial mint luster to shine. Although the Denver Mint produced a substantial quantity of this denomination, gem examples such as this one are quite scarce. PCGS 168, NGC 55, CAC 64. PCGS Price Guide lists the value at $1,275. Mostly white with areas of peripheral golden toning. Although not designated so on the holder, the coin has a cameo appearance with frosted devices floating on liquid mirror surfaces, boasting intense eye appeal PCGS 87, NGC 90. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value at $850. The last PCGS non-CAC coin to sell at auction brought $947 in August 2014. This coin has terrific eye appeal; bid accordingly. Cert. One of the finest graded 1897 Proof quarters with bold CAMEO contrast. Deep, brilliant mirrored fields are beaming with a cool, quicksilver reflection The sharply struck devices boast a full white, thick frost. Both sides are framed by a narrow band of rainbow iridescent toning that adds to the exceptional eye appeal. A trace of a hairline is perhaps all that keeps this coin from gaining a CAC bean. Only 731 were struck. PCGS 10, NGC 7. VERY RARE any finer. The last PCGS PR67 CAM without CAC approval sold for $4,313 in the 2004 ANA auction--that was over 14 years ago! WOW, and we mean WOW!! Superbly struck and supremely detailed, the mirrored surfaces beam reflected light across the room, and provide a nice contrast to the frosted central devices. Glorious gold, indigo, and violet toning graces the lower obverse and is somewhat more widespread on the reverse. At this level, it is difficult to imagine a finer or prettier coin. This is an awesome and beautiful SUPERB GEM PROOF 1908 quarter. If every Barber quarter Proof looked like this, the market would be a whole lot stronger for them today. Too bad there are so many unattractive examples out there, dragging amazing coins like this one down with them. Spectacular mirrors beam from all over. The fields are glassy, offering a deep, clear, and superb reflection. A bold blend of colorful toning graces both sides adding to the exceptional eye appeal and attesting to its absolute originality. This is an extremely lustrous GEM that borders on SUPERB quality. Indeed, were it not for a tiny tick on Liberty's exposed shoulder, this wonderful coin would have likely graded MS66+ or higher. The radiating luster blooms all over, accenting the gentle dusting of the clearest gold toning. Razor sharp in strike, every detail is fully rendered from a forceful blow from the dies. Bright and brilliant mint luster is as vibrant and bold as the day it was minted. A lower mintage date the 23-S is a key date in all grades, and especially popular in CHOICE Mint State grades as here. Well struck, though not fully so on the head, but it is about as close as you can get without being FH. The eye appeal is stunning for the grade, and it is truly sure to delight any Standing Liberty quarter collector. PCGS 59, NGC 32, CAC 2. This is the only CAC approved example to ever sell in auction, realizing $3,995 in the June 2017 sale of the Blue Moon Collection. One of the KEY issues in this popular 20th century series. This one is nicely struck and a soft golden tan patina is seen on the lower obverse while the remaining areas of the coin are a nice pearly with a dusting of pale olive and lavender. Some trivial surface tics are completely overpowered by the bold luster, and do not affect at all the marvelous eye appeal. Sharply struck throughout with truly full head detail. This is truly a spectacular example of the first year of the beloved Washington quarter series. Supposed to be issued as a single year circulating commemorative, the coin proved so popular that in 1934 it became the standard quarter design. Showing off a stunning, vibrantly brilliant mint luster on both sides that amplifies the traces of rainbow toning at the rims Sharply struck and nearly pristine, this coin is bested by just 9 MS67s at PCGS. PCGS 46, NGC 3. The last one to sell realized $840 in February 2018 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,150. Keep in mind that any MS67 is a five figure coin, making this one the highest obtainable grades for many collectors. Cert. Number 36073224 PCGS # 5790

FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. A truly PQ GEM with all the bells and whistles that will attract a lot of attention. Housed in a "rattler" holder and a GOLD CAC sticker, this 36-S looks much better than most MS65s you see, and many 66s we have seen over the years. Fully frosted luster is aglow on ultra smooth surfaces and just the slightest touch of clear toning. The strike is bold and full throughout the design elements. PCGS 981, NGC 494, CAC 53. This is the ONLY 1936-S quarter that has been awarded the GOLD CAC bean, meaning that CAC considers it at least a full grade finer than the grade on the holder. As such, the last APR for a PCGS/CAC MS66 was $350 in a September 2018 internet only auction. One look at this one and you will know it is worth more! Cert. Number 2075785 PCGS # 5802

FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. Richly toned and well struck, this high end GEM is truly worthy of its CAC GOLD sticker. Dappled rose and olive tone blends over surfaces that are lustrous and free of any distracting marks of any kind. PCGS 1361, NGC 2002, CAC 45. There are only 2 CAC GOLD stickers. Not an expensive coin, but attractive and great for any high end set. The CU value is MS67 is only $110. Cert. Number 2181347 PCGS # 5860

O-101. This is one of the highlights of the present sale, a perfect collector grade example of this first year of issue of the half dollar denomination. Rich dove gray shows soft accents of pewter and russet-tan on the reliefs. Smooth problem free circulation on both sides. Even under strong magnification, the surfaces are free of any serious marks, signs of cleaning, environmental damage or any other post minting flaws. The eye appeal is very high end for the grade, and we have seen XF40s that do not have the outstanding visual allure that this totally original "gem" VF has. PCGS 21, NGC 18, CAC 10. The last PCGS/CAC example sold back in November 2012 for $28,175. More recently an NGC/CAC coin sold for $24,675 in the 2017 ANA auction. O-112. This is the very popular blundered denomination reverse die that was the first used with the rare O-111 die marriage, which broke early on creating the RARE Bearded Goddess. This is a totally ORIGINAL and very pleasing collector grade example! Richly toned in heather, pewter, olive, and slate tones. The eye appeal is excellent, especially for a coin that often comes dipped or lightly cleaned. PCGS 70, NGC 32, CAC 14. The last one to sell realized $1,380 in February 2018 and the current Collector's Universe value is $1,600. Even a non-CAC coin realized $1,320. This is a great looking coin for the collector, and is another great looking CHOICE quality XF coin! Cert. Number 35225958 PCGS # 6086

O-103. A pleasing example that ranks within, or just below the condition census. This is a wonderful high grade AU early date Capped Bust half dollar. A wealth of light satiny luster clings to the protected areas of the design. Lovely dove and gold patina graces both sides with accents of light blue when viewed in a light. The eye appeal is excellent for the grade and date. PCGS 71, NGC 38, CAC 18. The last one to sell brought only $3,450; we sold one in our July 2017 for $5,288. O-101. This is a VERY HIGH END 1810 half dollar! Iridescent toning deepens to the rims, the color brought out by a vibrant and strong original mint luster. Very crisply struck devices are not what is usually encountered for this variety. Struck from a later state of the dies with multiple obverse die cracks. Only the slightest touch of friction on the highest points. PCGS 99, NGC 54, CAC 25. Most PCGS-graded coins have sold in the $2,233 to $3,630. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,850. O-103. A wonderful CHOICE AU example of this Large 8 die marriage. Wonderfully lustrous surfaces are somewhat bluntly struck from clashed and cracked dies. Just a touch of wear on the highest points of the design can be seen and both sides are blanketed in a lovely lilac-pewter and clear gold patina that adds to the superb eye appeal. Here is a lovely Brilliant Uncirculated 1818/7 half dollar. Boasting a rich cobalt, battleship, slate, and teal blanket on the obverse, and a similar toning scheme on the reverse with orange-rose in the central devices giving it a pretty, old-time collector look. We have seen similarly toned coins sold in classic, old time collection sales. A bold luster glows with a striking brilliance from under the beautiful color bringing it to life. The devices are sharply struck in general, with only some minor bluntness on some of the eagle's feathers. Here is a very pretty coin that borders on the CHOICE category and boasts a great look. O-101a. The later die state of the O-101 variety that started out as the Broken 3 (see previous lot). A delightful collector oriented example that has a wonderful band of rainbow toning that clings to the extreme periphery on both sides. The brilliant silver centers shimmer and glow with a strong luster. The light lines seen under a glass account for the assigned grade, but the naked eye appeal is certainly that of a higher grade. Only two PCGS MS62s have ever sold in auction, the first was the Prouty coin, sold in April 2010 for $4,600 and the other was sold in the 2013 FUN auction, realizing just a hair shy of $5,000. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $5,850 and this variety is RARE in Choice or Gem Mint State grades. As a popular Red Book variety, good luck finding a better example for your set, they rarely appear in auction, and when they do, they are bought by collectors, and put away for a long time. Cert. The last PCGS/CAC coin to sell realized $384 in May 2018, but it was not as evenly toned or presented as the present coin. O-112. Classic collector envelope color toning gracefully blankets both sides. Shades of olive, russet, gold, and violet all come to life when the underlying mint bloom is kissed by a light. FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. O-113, which is really a Small Date, Small Letter variety. The ancient PCGS encapsulation shows the incorrect PCGS #. Back when this coin was graded, we have no doubt that it was called BU and the submitter was hoping for a Mint State grade; the initial eye appeal is that of a full Mint State coin. Totally brilliant surfaces show off a complete luster that has impressive rolling cartwheels. A glass reveals a few unimportant marks which may account for the "net" AU58 grade. Housed in a second generation green tag holder. PCGS 188, NGC 383, CAC 50. Three sold in November 2018 in the $660 to $780 range and the current PCGS value is listed at $850. O-113. Choice and original. Rich pewter-dove and lilac-silver surfaces are brilliant. Sharply struck and very pleasing overall. There are no serious marks, no wear, no nothing that would detract from the outstanding eye appeal. Fully CHOICE! PCGS 52, NGC 116, CAC 15. We sold the last two, one realizing $1,586 and $1,705. If we were doing an auction catalog, we would seriously consider this for a cover coin! Really! It is SUPER HIGH END and amazingly colorful! Remarkable surfaces are as good as they get. The obverse has a sensational bend of totally original blue/gold/pale green/pale deep silver colors. The reverse is all "old time" silver. Upon careful examination, the slightest of wear can be observed, and surfaces are smooth and relatively free of marks. The eye appeal is really high end. PCGS 55, NGC 62, CAC 19. A popular Civil War date half dollar with a good look. Fully CHOICE for an AU, the surfaces are a pearly silver with accents of richer pewter-dove in the devices. Well struck and showing just the most minute amount of friction on the highest points and some minor contact. The eye appeal is quite nice for the assigned grade. Even a very picky collector will find a lot to love about this coin. PCGS 12, NGC 7, CAC 5. No PCGS/CAC example has ever sold in auction, but we do note the last two PCGS APRs, $887 in February 2014 and $1,035 in August 2011. More recently a PCGS AU58 CAC sold for $1,680 in December 2017. Definitely not a date or grade you see with any frequency, so bid accordingly. Cert. Number 36147258 PCGS # 6306

For the assigned grade, this 1873 half dollar is gorgeous and totally original. We love the look! First the obverse fields have a touch of reflective sparkle that bursts from under the highly attractive blue, green, rose, and gold toning. Crisply and fully struck up with full definition on both sides. A strong glass reveals a few minute lines, that limit the grade, but not the excellent eye appeal. PCGS 44, NGC 19, CAC 13. The most recent example realized $3,000 in the 2018 ANA auction and the current PCGS price is $2,850. There are records in the $4,000+ range from 2016 and earlier in 2018. This is a fantastic, premium GEM! Rich satin frost shines under a layer of soft iridescent tones that grace smooth surfaces and razor sharp, well produced devices. The toning is classic old envelope iridescent shades of blue/golden brown/pale green russet colors. This coin oozes with originality. We note under a strong glass a couple of tiny marks on Liberty’s knee. We do really like the look of this gem. PCGS 31, NGC 16. Among the finest graded for the date; there are only two finer, one in 66+ and one in 67. Similar in look to the NGC/CAC Col. Green-Eric Newman Coin that sold for $11,163 in November 2013, (we think the toning is a touch more dramatic on this one). PCGS suggests a value of $5,850. The eye appeal is superb and a great coin for any date or type collection. This coin was just in our October 2018 sale and went unpaid. Poor guy is now blocked from bidding. Cert. FROM THE SAND HILL COLLECTION. Wow! This coin is really high end for the grade! Sharply struck devices stand out against the satin white and partially reflective surfaces. Only 8,000 were struck. This is the look often seen on this low mintage date. This wonderful example, CAC approved, housed in an old PCGS green label holder, and compared to many that we have seen over the years, conservatively graded (no guarantees). PCGS 19, NGC 7, CAC 3. Listed in the current PCGS Price Guide with a value of $1,350. The last PCGS/CAC coin sold in our April 2018 Premier Session, realizing $1,870 and one before that brought $1,800 in February. This is a truly CHOICE Brilliant Proof with strong, watery reflective mirrors. They are smooth, deep, and the sharply struck devices are frosted and stand out in decent contrast to the fields. A light dusting of light silver white iridescent tone is seen. Housed in a second generation PCGS holder. Only 750 Proofs were struck. PCGS 81, NGC 51. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $2,160 in November 2017 and the current PCGS value is listed at $2,200. Cert. Number 8221597 PCGS # 6435

Deep mirrors beam throughout the fields offering a strong contrast nicely to the frosted devices for a bold cameo effect. Old time blue-red-gold toning is adds to this coin’s exceptional eye appeal. From a proof mintage of 1,039 pieces, and similar in scarcity to other late date Seated Half dollars. PCGS 44, NGC 22, CAC 7. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value at $1,950. DO NOT LET THE POPS FOOL YOU! The last auction price record was $1,997 in April 2016. This coin is wholly original and attractive; we can see why it is CAC stickered, but it is not clear to us why it is not graded higher (no guarantees). Worthy of a premium bid. EX. P. KAUFMAN COLLECTION. One of the FINEST Proof 1884 halves that exists! This is a very high end, beautifully toned, SUPERB GEM example. Mottled copper blends with lilac-dove and apricot-rose hues. Highly reflective, brilliant mirrors beam all over on both sides. The sharply struck devices really do stand out with a gorgeous look. The eye appeal is excellent! Only 875 Proofs were struck in addition to the paltry mintage of 4,400 business strikes. As such, proofs were often included in complete sets of Seated half dollars. PCGS 5, NGC 5, CAC 3. This is the famed Kaufman-Gardner coin that sold in May 2015 for $7,931; prior to selling for $5,880 in October 2018. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $9,500 and with none finer in the non-CAM designation, this SUPERB coin will delight the advanced Proof Seated half dollar collector, as well as type collectors, or anyone who appreciates great coins. The 1901-O half dollar is surprisingly rare in Mint State, given its mintage of over 1,000,000. The typical Mint State example grades MS62 or MS63, with 64s very scarce and EXTREMELY RARE any finer. A warm, satiny glow provides a pearly luster to the surfaces. Displaying a normal, blunt New Orleans mint strike, there is some weakness in the eagle's right wing feathers. A touch of toning at 9:00 on the obverse and just under HALF on the reverse is noted, otherwise the surfaces have just a dusting of clear gold. Very high end quality for the assigned grade. PCGS 13, NGC 14, CAC 7. This is NOT the same coin that sold three times in 2015-16 in the $5,405 to $6,159 range. Nor is it the NGC coin that sold in July 2017 for $5,463. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $6,900 and there are only seven coins finer. Bound for a wonderful Barber half set and worthy of a premium bid! Cert. Number 35927999 PCGS # 6490

This is NOT a date that is readily available in GEM grades, and this one is a very cool, very eye appealing MS65 example. Bold, radiant, cartwheel luster rolls smoothly along the satiny surfaces. Liberty and the details are fully formed by a bold impression from the dies. Lovely sunset orange, gold, peach, and hints of violet blend along the obverse rim, giving this impressive GEM a wonderfully colorful frame. The only thing we can see that would preclude this GEM from getting a green CAC bean is a thin hairline or two on the obverse. PCGS 16, NGC 6. PCGS graded only 9 coins finer. The most recent example to sell in auction was in February 2018 and it did not have anywhere close to the eye appeal of this beauty. Two PCGS/CAC coins sold in the 2016 FUN auction, realizing $3,290 and $5,875. The current PCGS value is listed at $4,000. This coin has a great look and will realize a very strong price, commensurate with its outstanding eye appeal. Cert. Number 25650440 PCGS # 6498

In the old days, this coin would have been called "Brilliant Uncirculated" as there really is no perceptible wear anywhere. However, when you rotate the fully lustrous satiny surfaces in the light, there are a few old "slide marks" from album storage on the cheek. Generally well struck and very eye appealing overall. PCGS 15, NGC 2. Prior to this one selling in our July 2018 Premier Session, only two PCGS coins have sold in auction, both well in excess of the current CU value, the most recent was in September 2013 for $2,820 and prior to that one was in August 2011 for $1,840. One look at this GEM and you can instantly tell that it was lovingly stored in an album or envelope. Over the years the paper toned the silver in a lovely "mixed berry" blend of colors at the rim to golden silver in the centers. Smooth, defect free surfaces and sharply struck devices that are wonderfully frosted add to the already very high end visual allure. PCGS 66, NGC 29, CAC 18. the last PCGS/CAC coin to sell realized $1,438 in November 2018, and before that, none sold for $1,601 in July 2018. A pleasing and original borderline GEM example of the final Barber half dollar. Light dappled russet gold tone on the obverse is accented by a lovely radiant satin luster. Nicely struck up on both sides, only a tiny tick on the shield keeps this coin from a GEM grade. PCGS 187, NGC 131, CAC 36. Only 8 are graded MS64+ at PCGS and the most recent PCGS MS64+ with CAC approval sold in March 2016 for $1,410 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,350. A nice coin worthy of even a GEM Barber half dollar set. Cert. Number 83924052 PCGS # 6533

FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. This essentially GEM quality example of this last Barber half dollar issue was sold in our July 2017 Regency Auction, where it was described as: "Beyond "nice!" A bold frosty luster on both the obverse and reverse which accent the generally smooth, problem free surfaces. We do note some microscopic lines and ticks which are totally acceptable for the assigned grade. Some hints of peripheral toning frame the obverse. The eye appeal is generally quite nice for this the final year of Barber halves." PCGS 110, NGC 86, CAC 17. There are only 3 graded MS64+ at PCGS, and this date is very scarce any finer. This was the only one to ever sell, realizing a very strong $2,350 in our July 2017 Regency Auction. Keep in mind that the last PCGS MS65 CAC sold in November 2017 fro $4,800! Liquid mirrored surfaces and frosted devices combine for a cameo appearance accounting for the CAC sticker. We are quite surprised by the lack of CAM designation on the holder (no guarantees). Untoned and supremely lustrous. PCGS 65, NGC 57, CAC 8. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value at $1,350. A PCGS CAC coin last sold at auction for $1,762 in September 2016. Among the better survivors from a mintage of 755 pieces and worthy of competitive bidding. Cert. Number 5504673 PCGS # 6550

Neat two-toned cameo with distinctive contrast between the frosted central devices and the sparkling mirrored fields. Evidence of long-term storage in an old holder is confirmed by mostly white centers with a delicate patina of blue and russet towards the rims, and some fine parallel lines on the cheek and head that are visible with strong magnification. Only 575 were struck. PCGS 4, NGC 3. Listed in the PCGS Price Guide at $1,950. No recent sales; last auction record for a PCGS coin was $2,415 in way back in February 2006. The devices are sharply struck up and are essentially complete, showing just the slightest hint of friction on the highest points. Housed in an old green tag holder, this coin is worthy of any high end "everyman" set. PCGS 325, NGC 186, CAC 33. Very scarce in Mint State, Collector's Universe has a listed price at $500 and this one will surely bring well above that level when it crosses the block, it is that high end! Cert. WOW! This coin really is a borderline GEM! We have looked at this coin for a long time with a powerful loupe and the quality really does stand up to close scrutiny! It certainly is heads above what you think of when you think of an MS64+ 17-D Reverse. A flashy, vibrant mint luster really glows in the fields and it really does refract the light with a beaming brilliance. The devices are boldly impressed into the planchet and the surfaces are clean and free of distracting marks, lines, or other flaws. A lovely yellow-gold halo forms at the rims giving this coin an almost divine look. PCGS 215, NGC 105, CAC 23 Only 7 coins are graded MS64+ and this date is RARE any finer. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,750 and the last example to sell realized $4,465 in April 2017. ANY PCGS/CAC MS65 is going to cost $15,000 or more! Softly frosted lustrous surfaces are mostly white with light golden peripheral toning. Decent strike for this often weakly struck issue, and more challenging in mint state than one might expect based on the generous mintage of over 10 million pieces. PCGS 120, NGC 126. This is truly a vividly frosty and totally original near-GEM example that has a brilliant underlying luster that brings out the subtle toning on both sides. We note central bluntness on the obverse, which is typical for the date. The dreaded right field does have a minor scuff, otherwise the eye appeal is essentially GEM quality. PCGS 466, NGC 238, CAC 60. The most recent PCGS/CAC coin sold for $4,113 in our September 2018 Regency Auction. The current PCGS value is listed at $2,350. A wonderful frosty luster has a warm glow on both sides giving this near-GEM a great look. Displaying the typical weakness of strike in the central devices, we do not see any ticks or marks of any consequence. Both sides show off a pearly-gold hue when rotated in a light, this 18-S half dollar has a great look. The booming wartime economy required lots of coins in circulation, and the mint obliged with over 10 million half dollars churned out of the San Francisco mint in 1918. After the war, the economy slowed, and most coins went into circulation, thus while not rare in low grades, it becomes scarce in MS64 and progressively rarer the higher on the grading scale you go. The present 64+ is a great coin for the collector. PCGS 520, NGC 247, CAC 61. There are 58 graded MS64+, the most recent of which sold in our November 2018 Regency Auction for $3,525; prior to that, we sold one for $3,643 in September 2018. A wonderfully toned GEM example of this early Walker. While there were more than six million halves struck and they are readily available in lower Mint State grades, they are very scarce in GEM, even more so with very nice colorful toning. The well preserved, lustrous surfaces beam from under a lovely layer of powder blue and apricot iridescent toning. The devices were nicely rendered by a decent blow from the dies, even Liberty's thumb is well outlined. The surfaces are clean and free of any serious marks ticks. The eye appeal is quite nice and very high end. PCGS 126, NGC 43, CAC 15. There are only 15 graded MS65+ at PCGS and this GEM realized $4,700 in April 2014. More recent records range from $3,290 to $5,875. Keep in mind any PCGS/CAC MS66 will cost into the five figures and there are only 23 coins finer at PCGS. RARE 1921-D WALKER Medium silver-gray with small areas of indigo toning towards the rims. Original cartwheel luster is nearly intact and surfaces are free of significant marks. A marvelously toned GEM. We do not care what the grade on the holder says, this coin is very high end! Exceptionally vibrant, bold, and blindingly flashy luster. The obverse has a stunning band of rainbow toning that totally arrests the eye. Bold blue, soft gold, warm orange, and royal violet hues blend together in an arch of color. The surfaces are clean for the grade, and we would not flinch if this coin were graded higher. From our May 2018 offering of the Dale Larsen Collection, where this magnificent GEM was described as: Both sides have a bold, crescent of coppery orange toning, more widely patinated on the obverse than reverse, but both sides have a wonderful look. Beautiful and watery! This is a very popular early Proof, the first issue of Proof Walkers. The fields are watery-reflective and the have a nice flash all over. Even though PCGS does not, we grade this coin a PR67+ (no promises). Electric deep mirrors are so deep and flashy you can see them in the dark! The mirrors display extreme clarity and are exceedingly clean. A huge patch of original gold is on the right obverse. Miss Liberty and every detail are boldly struck and have thick silvery frost. This is a spectacular 49-S half! All we can say is WOW! The luster blazes a bold cartwheel flash that brings out the stunning autumnal orange-amber-gold toning. Sharply struck, just a touch of weakness on some of the bell lines keeps this out of that designation and a mid-four figure price tag. PCGS 13, NGC 7, CAC 13. There is just a single MS67+ finer at PCGS. The last one to sell brought $1,469 in our October 2017 Regency Auction. Prior to that two sold for $1,528. This is one heck of a nice HIGH END coin! Clearly this GEM was plucked right out of its original cardboard holder. The surfaces are sleek and are super clean. Even using a strong glass yields no impairments of any size, anywhere. A strong luster shows off the rich original reddish gold toning sprinkled around. FROM THE SAND HILL COLLECTION B-15, BB-52. First year of the Draped Bust Small Eagle reverse design, and only two distinct die marriages were used to strike them. The Centered Bust, as here, has Liberty’s portrait well centered in the die, whereas the Off-Center Bust has her curls closer to the stars. Medium pewter-dove tone with moderate wear and decent enough detail to be close to VF. Scattered light circulation marks are consistent with the assigned grade. Obverse and reverse are both smooth and free of noticeable adjustment marks. Housed in an older blue tag PCGS holder, this coin is fresh to the market. PCGS 47, NGC 38, CAC 3. The PCGS price guide lists the value at $3,950. There are no auction records for CAC approved coins in this grade, which is not surprising since only 3 have been stickered. B-12, BB-184. What a great looking, totally original XF bust dollar. Housed in an old green tag holder, this impressive early type coin has boldly defined devices that show only light to moderate wear. The soft pearly-gray patina deepens to a rich slate at the peripheries. Only a few tiny marks are noted with a glass, but they do not detract from the exceptional eye appeal. This is a bold example that will delight any type or date collector. PCGS 157, NGC 88, CAC 25. The last CAC-coin sold for $4,230 in September 2016 and was NGC-graded. B-13, BB-193. This is a beautiful XF Bust dollar. Boasting a wealth of "second generation" teal blue iridescent toning in the obverse fields. This type of toning occurs when a coin was lightly cleaned ages ago, then left to retone naturally. The devices are boldly impressed on both sides, offering strong definition to the well centered design elements. The surfaces are generally clean and smooth, devoid of any serious post minting flaws. The eye appeal is exceptional! PCGS 157, NGC 88. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,000 and this exceptionally eye appealing coin is worthy of a premium bid from the early dollar collectors. B-14, BB-194. A very attractive, collector grade example of this very popular Red Book variety, named for the enigmatic die flaw that surrounds the first 0 in the date. Evenly worn surfaces show just light honest circulation. Dove-pewter patina with some peach-gray-tan overtones kisses the surfaces. Boldly defined details do stand out and the surfaces show only the tiniest of marks you would expect to see on a coin with this amount of wear. The eye appeal is great for an XF! PCGS 14, NGC 4, CAC 3. Prior to this one selling, the most recent example to sell in auction realized $7,050 in the 2014 ANA auction. This coin sold in auction back in July 2004--making it fresh to the market, and a delightful example for this generation of collectors. B-6, BB-255. What a SHARP early dollar! Struck the final date that Draped Bust dollars were produced for circulation. Highly lustrous with somewhat flashy, almost PL reflection in the protected areas of the devices. A soft dusting of pale lilac-blue and tan-gold tone can be seen on either side. Close examination reveals a few wispy lines that might have come from an ancient, gentle wiping. Well struck, the devices show just a trace of high point friction. The eye appeal is quite nice, and will be a delight for any collector of early dollars. PCGS 18, NGC 7. The most recent PCGS AU53 to sell in auction was in November 2012, actually 2 sold in that same sale, one for $8,625 and one for $9,988. The current PCGS value is listed at $9,000. B-5, BB-252. Richly toned surfaces show traces of original luster in the protected areas of the reverse. This high end XF Bust dollar has impressive, complete definition on both sides. Light, minor contact marks, appropriate for the assigned grade can be seen with a strong glass, but they do not have a negative affect on the outstanding eye appeal. PCGS 47, NGC 38, CAC 6. There were two PCGS/CAC coins sold in auction in recent months: one in July 2018 for $4,830 and the other in the 2017 ANA auction for $5,170. There is typically strong interest in this date as it is the first year the New Orleans Mint struck Silver Dollars. Predominantly gray surfaces with areas of steel blue toning show a scattering of light contact marks consistent with the grade. PCGS 59, NGC 27. Fully struck with rich, glass-like mirrored fields and fine details. All the details are drenched in frost and the eye appeal is SUPERB for the grade. An untoned choice example of this early proof Seated Dollar with a mintage of 800 pieces. Perhaps half that amount was sold originally and even less survive today, making this issue scarcer than it otherwise might appear. PCGS 42, NGC 24, CAC 2. A GEM quality Civil War date Seated dollar. Very rare so fine, only 460 were struck, and clearly this one is among the higher graded pieces at PCGS. Sharply struck on both sides, the devices are frosted and the mirrored fields have a flashy watery type reflection. At certain angles the obverse mirrors really do beam from under the rosy-slate toning with accents of lilac, violet, sky-blue and light gold. There are some microscopic hairlines under the colorful toning. The GEM quality is unquestioned! Only 460 Proofs were struck. PCGS 7, NGC 15. This is the SOLE PR65+ at PCGS. Ex Pacific Rim Collection, as noted on the holder. WOW! This GEM has ultra deep, flashy fields that are blinding in their reflection. The dies were very heavily polished, you can tell from the long, snake like lint mark on the left reverse rim. The sharply struck devices are fully frosted and stand out with a visually stunning contrast to the depth of the surrounding fields. A minor planchet flaw is seen on the reverse, which may be why CAC did not approve this coin, as none of the minor lines are inappropriate for the assigned GEM grade. PCGS 10, NGC 28. WOW! This is a blast white in your face MS68. It is the way they should come! Superb surfaces are amazingly sleek and clean. Even using a glass there is one small Hidden tick on the reverse and that is it to find. There is strong semi-prooflike look. The surfaces all over have an intense high voltage luster. From ANR's Robert Michael Prescott Collection Sale, January 2006, lot 711 where it was described as briefly as: "Brilliant and lustrous with areas of rainbow toning--a treat to the eye. We cannot argue with that, but we will add that the reverse is stunning, if the reverse tone was on the obverse, this marvelous GEM would qualify as a "monster." We do rate the color overall as an 8.5+ on our ten point scale. Aside from the amazing color is the quality. This coin has been off the market for over a dozen years and has not been regraded, if done, it may well "+" at the very least (no guarantees). For the grade, this 93-S dollar is quite exceptional! Smooth, moderate, problem free circulation shows even wear on both sides. A left over Carson City reverse die was sent to the New Orleans mint, where the O mintmark was punched over a partially effaced CC. The present coin is boldly defined and brilliantly lustrous on both sides. Sharply struck from crumbling dies, the surfaces show just a couple of tiny contact marks, but the surfaces are generally very smooth and free of any serious distractions. This is one of the most ORIGINAL 1921 Peace dollars we have had the pleasure of offering. This coin is the antithesis of what we normally see for this date. Very rarely do 1921s come with any kind of color, and when they do, its usually a soft golden-peach. The present coin has rich earthen russet-tan that blend with a mottled navy blue and soft pearly sliver. Traces of ancient fingerprints in the tone suggest that this coin was stored in some sort of a leather pouch and forgotten about. Minimal contact can only be seen with a strong glass We note some minor weakness of strike at the highest points, normal for the date, but it does have that impressive "deep dish look." What a visually impressive coin! The Pan Pac Round has a net mintage of only 483, making it the lowest mintage of all the classic commems and one of the lowest in all of U.S. gold coin issues. Struck to commemorate the opening of the Panama Canal, two $50 gold "slugs" evocative of the Wass-Molitor and Humbert issues of the 1850s, one round and one octagonal, are unique to the U.S. federal issues. Containing nearly 2.5 ounces of gold, it is also the largest gold coin ever struck by the U.S. The present coin is very pleasing for the grade. There is very little actual wear on either side. There is quite a bit of original mint luster glowing on the surfaces. The color is a rich orange gold, which is very pleasing indeed. There are a number of minor contact marks on both sides, suggesting storage by a non-numismatist--perhaps purchased by a jewelry store during the Depression, and put in a box of other interesting coins purchased in the same manner. While we will never know how these ticks got there, they can be somewhat overlooked when the entire picture is is taken in. This is a very important opportunity to acquire an "affordable" example of this very rare issue. PCGS 13, NGC 1. The last PCGS AU55 to sell in auction realized $39,100 back nearly a decade ago, in December 2009. If you think a 58 will be another comp, there has not been a PCGS 58 sold since September 2006! An NGC AU58 sold in the 2016 FUN auction for $52,875. In AU55, the current Collector's Universe value is listed at $57,500 and this may be the most "affordable" straight graded Pan Pac Round you can find! LRCA is pleased to offer this numismatic prize in our Final Premier Session. This lightly circulated Pan-Pac $50 Octagonal, along with the previous lot, is the grand highlight of the sale. One of the most popular issues in all of American numismatics, only 643 were officially sold, making it one of the lowest mintage federal coins. Add to that its impressive heft (nearly 2.5 ounces of pure gold) and unique shape, and collectors have longed to own an example for over a century. Light wear is mostly seen on the owl. Bright yellow gold color is enhanced by a satiny mint luster. There are a number of microscopic marks and ticks, visible only with a strong glass, none of which are distracting to the naked eye. A very important opportunity for the collector, as these are usually not seen in straight graded AU, most non-Mint State coins do show some issues that would preclude numerical grading. The type 2 gold dollar is a short lived type struck in Philadelphia for only two years in 1854 and 1855. Pale orange-gold with rose overtones grace the frosty surfaces and nicely struck devices. Just a touch of the most subtle friction can be seen on the high points and there are no stray marks anywhere, save for mint made clashes. PCGS 594, NGC 2372, CAC 80. From the second recovery of gold coins from this famed shipwreck. While in this second round many double eagles were salvaged, small gold coins, many of which were earlier issues appear to have been what the ill-fated passengers and crew were carrying with them. LRCA is pleased to have been consigned a trio of coins from this second recovery, encapsulated with a pinch of California gold dust. This Type 2 gold dollar had quite the adventure in its existence. It went from the mint in Philadelphia and made its way around, either to California, Panama, or Cuba before being in someone's pocket when the S.S. Central America hit a massive hurricane, faltered and sank to the bottom of the ocean. Light circulation is seen on the surfaces, but there is a wonderful surviving mint luster that glows on both sides. Free from any serious abrasions, we just see some minor lines from its brief time in commercial channels. A very historic piece and would make a very cool addition to any collection of gold coins, or a specialized collection of shipwreck coinage (this is a very interesting pursuit). Cert. What a great looking SUPERB GEM! Sharply stuck and fully detailed in characteristic rose gold, this is the epitome of what a Type III gold dollar should look like at is best. Scarce and Popular Dahlonega Quarter Eagle Characteristic deep yellow gold with rich orange toning towards the rims. Strike is weak in the centers, as is typical of this Mint, and the relative lack of detail on the eagle’s wings is strike as much as it is wear. Flashy and lustrous, this is a very pleasing CHOICE AU example of this somewhat scarce date quarter eagle. Well struck with fully defined devices that show just some minor rub on the highest points. Generally free of any distracting marks the eye appeal is very nice. We are not sure, but we don't think this one is from the S.S. Central America recovery. PCGS 13, NGC 22. Flashier than the one that sold in the 2018 FUN auction for $840, this coin has a great look overall and will sell for a strong bid. This is the highest graded circulated example graded at either service, the only AU58+. A wonderful, collector grade coin that is one of only 4,000 originally struck. Semi-reflective luster has only the barest trace of friction, but no serious marks or anything that would have an impact on the exceptional eye appeal. RARE in Mint State grades, this AU58+ is a great coin for the value minded collector. PCGS 1, NGC 0. In AU58 we sold a PCGS/CAC coin for $3,080 in November 2017 and an NGC/CAC coin for $2,938 in October 2017. Highly original and pleasing for a first year of this short lived type. Minor traces of wear are seen on the highest points, but the surfaces are generally unmarred by any distracting marks or scratches. The color is very pretty with rich orange and olive accents over medium gold. For over a decade, the value of gold in US coins surpassed the face value, which created an opportunity for folks to export gold coins where they would be melted for specie and then returned to the US as bullion. In an effort to stop this, the mint reduced and adjusted the gold content part of the way through 1834. The new coins were designed by William Kneass and his "Classic Head" design was the first to be struck in the new tenor composition. PCGS 191, NGC 155, CAC 18. Recent CAC-approved records include the PCGS coin we sold in our March 2018 Premier Session, an NGC coin that sold in September 2018 for $1,110, and an NGC coin that sold in December 2017 for $1,140. This is a rare AU survivor of this difficult date. PCGS CoinFacts estimates a survival of 140 examples in all grades, and David Akers and Doug Winter both observed that most survivors are VF or XF grade. This example shows just a few minor marks, the most noticeable is on Liberty's cheek. A bright golden color shows ample surviving satiny luster in the fields. The devices are sharply struck up and the eye appeal is better than most you will see, as this date often comes highly abraded and many have been cleaned or otherwise impaired. PCGS 16, NGC 18. There has not been one sold in auction since October 2011, realizing $4,169. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $4,500. Rarely appearing in auction any finer, the last AU55 graded by PCGS sold in July 2006 and the last PCGS AU58 sold in March 2006! Large D variety, which is not noted on the NGC encapsulation. This is a very pleasing, honey wheat gold toned D-mint half eagle. A soft underlying luster remains in the fields, accenting the sharply struck devices. We note only a few light friction lines on both sides, which are visible only with a strong glass; there are no other marks of any kind. The eye appeal is superb for the grade, clearly worthy of the green CAC bean. PCGS 41, NGC 34, CAC 4. According to our records, the only CAC approved example to ever sell in auction as a PCGS coin back in the 2011 FUN auction; a non-CAC NGC coin sold in April 2018 for $3,000 and the current Collector's Universe value is listed at $3,750. This coin is just about fully prooflike! Plus, it is SUPER HIGH END. Why PCGS didn't at least + it, is a wonder. You do not have to imagine the mirrors. They have powerful flash along with the strong luster. Surprisingly very few ticks or lines can be seen (when mirrors are this deep and clear you usually see everything). The contrast is quite strong. There are no spots or discoloration. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have a strong pale pinkish frost. The eye appeal is neat! PCGS 36, NGC 32, CAC 6. A very difficult series to collect in GEM and the 1915 is one of the more available dates, but do not let that fool you! A radiant golden sheen glows with a graceful brilliance on both sides. The incuse devices sharply impressed from a bold die impression. There are a few tiny, stray ticks, but nothing too distracting and the "field of death" above the eagle is remarkably clean. PCGS 59, NGC 38. Only six MS65+s have been graded finer. The current CU value is listed at $8,500 but since 2016, these have been selling in the $6,300-$7,050 range, with the last two bringing $6,600. Prior to that, prices of $10,000+ were the norm! This is a very scarce No Motto $10 variety that is VERY RARE any finer! The present example is exceptionally choice and original with great color and bold traces of mint luster. We note some minor contact but the surfaces are not at all hacked up or choppy, as you would normally see on a coin of this type, vintage, and grade. PCGS 28, NGC 50, CAC 8. The last PCGS/CAC coin to sell in auction realized $3,000 in October 2018 as part of the Fairmont Collection. The present offering is much cleaner and displays a much better overall eye appeal. From an original mintage of just 52,000, the 54-O $10 is very scarce in AU grades. Of the Large and Small date logotypes used, the Small Date is the scarcer of the two. Totally original and very handsome surfaces show off a delightful honey-olive gold color and well defined devices. Minor wear is noted, but the surfaces are devoid of any serious marks from circulation. The eye appeal is very high end and the overall quality is well above average for the date. This was the first year of issue at the new U.S. Mint in San Francisco and a respectable 123,826 Eagles were issued. The coins circulated heavily on the West Coast and relatively few survived in decent condition. The present coin is well struck in rose gold with the characteristic large ‘S’ mintmark. Surfaces exhibit relatively few contact marks and the mint luster is nearly intact. The mint focused on the larger gold coins and gold dollars, interestingly, the quarter eagle is a formidable classic rarity worth six figures, and the first 1854-S half eagle to sell since 1982 sold in the ANA auction for over $2,000,000! Lovely and original, this fully CHOICE + 1897 eagle has a great look! Rich golden color is accented by a bold, frosty luster. The devices are sharply struck. Some tiny marks on Miss Liberty’s cheek are noted for accuracy; the coin is otherwise relatively mark-free. The eye appeal is wonderful for the issue and grade, and we consider it very high end. Often designated as the No Motto type, the correct designation should also include No Periods, as the periods surrounding the legend E PLURIBUS UNUM on the earlier Wire Rim and Rounded Rim types were removed and the relief modified. A lower mintage date in this ultra challenging series, with only 59,850 struck. A rolling, satin luster glows on the surfaces on both sides. Nicely struck devices stand out and have only the lightest bit of friction. We do note some minor contact, totally appropriate for the assigned grade. Despite the hints of chatter, the eye appeal is quite nice. PCGS 152, NGC 195. The last NGC-graded coin to sell in auction brought $2,160 in December 2017, and prior to that one sold for $1,998 in the 2016 ANA auction. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $2,700. Rich rose gold with orange overtones from long term storage. Light scattered contact marks are consistent with the grade. An eye appealing coin deserving of CAC approval. Typical for the grade there is some contract on both sides, but we have certainly seen others that were much more hacked up than this one. A glowing satiny luster beams from under delicate olive and orange-gold tinged surfaces. PCGS 369, NGC 253, CAC 44. PCGS has graded 19 in MS62+. This is a date that has seen a decent number of MS62 and MS63 examples that have come out of old holdings. This coin was bought in September 2014 for $4,406, which was the first MS62+ graded by PCGS to ever sell in auction. Since then, prices have come down, and the most recent example sold for $2,520. Keep in mind that a PCGS/CAC MS63 is a five figure coin. Worthy of a strong bid today, as it is very eye appealing and will fit nicely in any collection of double eagles. Cert. There is really little actual wear on this coin and the grade can be accounted for by the numerous small surface marks that are typical of Double Eagles of this era. This 1903 double eagle is a true borderline GEM with a bold frosty mint bloom that shines in the light. Swirling cartwheels radiate on both sides, which bring out the crisply struck details, that are boldly and sharply impressed and the surfaces are generally very well preserved. PCGS 3359, NGC 3275, CAC 351. While priced as a generic, these are certainly not as common as a 1900 or 1904. This is a great problem free coin. Do know we had some trouble imaging it as it is far nicer in person. This is housed in an older blue label holder. This piece totally displays the famous "deep dish" look. Overall, the surfaces are very clean and you can only see a few very tiny ticks with a strong glass. There is a small toning spot that shows up in an image on the left obverse but in person you can't see it. There are NO spots or discolorations. The luster is strong and beams from all over. Both sides are an original gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are extremely well struck. The eye appeal is beautiful! PCGS 338, NGC 74, CAC 40. This is an impeccable MS64+, bordering on MS65 quality, and we have seen MS65s that don't have the great eye appeal of this near-GEM. This coin really is as close to GEM as you can possibly get, and we have seen many MS65s that do not possess the outstanding quality or eye appeal that this coin does. What a HIGH END example, we have seen coins graded MS66 that do not look this nice! A strong luster and bold two tone gold look stands out with a vibrant mint brilliance. Sharply struck devices and smooth, defect free fields are very attractive. We wish all MS66+ Saints could look this good. Of course this coin is worthy of the +! Totally immaculate surfaces just ooze with GEMMY quality. Even if you use a strong glass all you find is a microscopic frost break and a tiny tick or two-nothing major that is visible to the naked eye. A full booming yet glowing luster can be seen from feet away. There is no question this coin is totally original and never has been messed with in any way. A few microscopic copper spots in the left obverse field prove that (they can only be seen with a strong glass). Both sides are a magnificent totally original even gold color. Overall, there are NO spots or discolorations anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are well struck. The eye appeal ranks ++++! PCGS 9581, NGC 8373 , CAC 637. The coin is conservatively graded (no guarantees) and the CAC sticker is certainly warranted. PCGS 41,121, NGC 43,138, CAC 393. What a lovely GEM Mint State Saint! Blazing luster blooms on both sides giving this coin a bold, brilliant look. Deep orange gold color accents the sharply struck devices. We note some minor contact, consistent with the grade. A strong glass reveals a few minor spots, attesting to the originality of this beauteous GEM. Out of over 50,000 graded between PCGS and NGC in MS65 and 65+, CAC has beaned 1,595. The last PCGS/CAC example to sell in auction realized $2,280 in September 2018. A VERY pleasing MS66 Saint. As we all know, CAC does not just bean anything, they are very tough on Saints. Superb surfaces are clean and smooth overall. Just a few trivial frost breaks and extremely small pinpoint ticks can be found using a strong glass. Th luster is strong and glowing. Both sides are pretty deep gold/pinkish golden color. Glowing satiny smooth surfaces are quite attractive on this well struck half dollar commemorating the sesquicentennial of Columbia, South Carolina. A beautiful and HIGH END Missouri! The surfaces are super clean and do have a strong luster. Some pretty, light golden and iridescent toning is spread mostly around the peripheries. This iconic design is valued in the PCGS Price Guide at $600, but bidding is likely to be higher for a coin that is among the finer available for this date and type. A beautiful SUPERB GEM Oregon. With its very pretty peripheral tab-toning, you can clearly tell that this coin sat unmolested in the original holder of issue. Supreme quality surfaces are highly lustrous and even under close inspection are flawless. Every element of the devices are sharply and completely struck up. The eye appeal is SUPERB and the quality is very high end! PCGS 24, NGC 14, CAC 26. Like with all commem issues in high grade, the APRs are really determined by the eye appeal. The most recent example to sell brought $3,819 in February 2018; prior to that, one sold for $8,225 in March 2017. The current PCGS value is listed at $4,500. Tied for second FINEST graded at PCGS, this SUPERB GEM MS67+ Pilgrim half makes us very thankful that some collector had the foresight to lovingly care for this coin since its time of issue in 1921; it survived in such STUNNING and PRISTINE condition! Exceptionally lustrous surfaces blaze from all over. The fields are generally, as expected, very clean and free of any serious distracting marks that would negatively affect the voluminous amounts of seductive eye appeal . Both sides show a chiseled strike and a subtle touch of golden toning about the peripheries of both obverse and reverse. PCGS 8, NGC 1. The most recent example to sell in auction was CAC approved and sold for $4,560 in October 2018. Prior to that a non-CAC coin sold for $9,988 in the 2017 Central States auction. The current PCGS value is listed at $9,000 and keep in mind that just a single MS68 is graded higher at PCGS, none at NGC. SUPER HIGH END QUALITY! Overall, this coin is super clean. Only when using a strong glass and looking around can you find a few scattered tiny ticks. Key words: scattered and tiny. An awesome satin luster beams from all over. Both sides enjoy a totally original natural silver surface with delicate champagne colors. All of the details are very well struck. Spectacular toning and smooth unmarked surfaces are hallmarks of this incredible gem. A virtual palette of color including magenta, red, blue, green, russet and olive blankets both obverse and reverse and is absolutely stunning. PCGS 267, NGC 195, CAC 100. From a generous mintage of 1.3 million pieces only 51 pieces are finer. The value listed in the PCGS Price Guide is $900. The last PCGS CAC coin to sell at auction brought $1,920 in April 2018. A truly SUPERB, original, and high end Wisconsin, one of the FINEST graded at NGC. Wonderfully colorful pastel iridescent toning graces the central areas, while the peripheries are deeper. Stunning surfaces show a rich, thick frost with a soft satin finish. For a Wisconsin, this SUPERB coin has a great eye appeal, totally worthy of NGC's coveted "STAR" designation for eye appeal. This is an R-4 Goloid Metric pattern dollar with perhaps 76-200 struck. Barber's head of Liberty similar to that of the $50 gold half unions. This one weighs 385.49 grains, and the analysis of the composition is 96% silver, 3.6% copper, 0.4% gold. We are pleasantly surprised how deep and flashy the mirrors are. In fact, the mirrors have strong clarity and are have only a few lines you need to use a strong glass to see. This coin possibly was dipped long ago but is coming back really nice. A faint hint of gold can be seen Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally well stuck. The eye appeal actually is really nice! PCGS 16, NGC 13. The last PCGS piece to sell in auction brought $3,190 and before that one hadn't sold since August 2014. The current Collectors Universe Value is $4,200.
