This light armored vehicle was manufactured from 1938-1944. A total of 616 were produced, original weight was 4.7 tons. 12 feet long, 6 feet wide, and the original height was 6 feet. It was manned by two people, a commander gunner and a driver. It was either equipped with a 37mm type 94 gun or a type 97 tank machine gun.
Nearly all the missing armor is 1/4" plate stock, making for easy restoration for museum display. This WW2 Japanese tank is the only example known in private hands in North America.
The background history, will be provided by the current owner to the purchaser by request. A WW2 Japanese Type 97 tank machine gun with telescope will also be made available for purchase to the successful bidder via private purchase.
The tank retains it's complete original drive train, engine, transmission, oil tank, gas tank, data plates, wheels, tracks, fenders, muffler system and more.
